The Idea of Women...
I have observed how men feel about women. I have friends who share their views and just from just watching general posts from men about women online, I personally think there is an underline hatred for women. I try not to go forget that social media is a place where you can openly express your opinions and viewpoints at your own discretion. But the fact that so men have this viewpoint makes me wonder what is happening? I understand there have been things women have done without being provoked, Terrible and heartbreaking things to men. I can admit this, and in no way am I trying to put this rose-colored filter over women like they are innocent to the matters of men's viewpoint. But is there a boundary to these discussions or viewpoints? Is there a separation of feeling or thinking this way and that it only applies to some women? or does it form this terrible impression of women as a whole?
For example; Are men now treating women based on these viewpoints? When they speak of women, do they see them with an already predetermined programming of their dynamic, purely based on these posts and viewpoints? If this is the case women are dealing with a generation of men who have a negative approach toward them. Also, I want to add that maybe if these men choose different kinds of women they wouldn't have these terrible experiences; repeatedly, making them feel all women must be this way. If you are always dating in the club and parties, etc. then what do you expect?
But to put this idea that now all women must be treated this way or that, and to preassume or state that deep down all women are this way is just unfair and damaging to the young men growing up and listening to these things. I, also want to add that the majority of these men are Black, {I am a black woman writing this and I hear this in close encounters with them. they talk among each other like this as well as post on social media. That is why I added this factor} and they also have grown up poor mother figures or without mothers in their life. I understand that having a lack in your household can profoundly affect children, male or female. I suffer from not having a father and his death. I know it has affected me and my relationship with men. But I also know it doesn't apply to all men and I never look at a man with the predetermined thought that he will do me dirty and cheat on me when I first look at him?
I feel they are conditioning men and young boys to hate women. Women will get revenge or to protect themselves do negative things first which will, even more, prove their case. Women have never had their rightful place in society and As a woman, I am sick of it. It is unfair and hurtful and makes me never want to get into a relationship. I don't want to be with a man that has this preset idea of me in his head. So what? now I have to spend all my time trying to be the best I can be to prove him otherwise, while he does him or just feels his ego getting stroked? It seems like work and an emotional roller coaster. Come to think of it, it is like another form of control. Simple!

in the world we live in there are some particular standards that raise question in the ruling we called self expression . Ideal female Image is an expression placed on women that creates a gap in gender equality. This stereotype can be placed on several women throughout numerous ethnic groups and cultures. Femininity also comes with the ideal image of masculinity. Routines and traditions that have been expected and practiced by men and women in civilization have now been labeled the cause in identity controversy. Broken down, there can be many reason linked to the false spread of advertisement women undergo on a regular day basis. In killing us softly, Jean Kilbourne explains the presentation women receive through the lens of advertisement. Advertisement is a huge media platform used to promote different types of products, people , and or events. Advertisements can be linked to other forms of media, like acting , modeling , photography, and music. No matter what similar extension you name, the general public still holds women appearance at a certain standard. They have been made up to match this specific image chosen by idealistic degenerate, men. Jean explains women around the world, strive and fantasize their bodies over the wrong reasons. She explains women critique themselves and judge on unhealthy manner due to the false advertisement of the stereotypical beautiful woman. One of the most memorable lines Jean Kilbourne expresses is “failure is inevitable” for the female human species. As she takes us on a series of Images of women in advertisement , she explains all of these women are portrayed flawless without any wrinkles, lines, or natural marks that you would normally find on an average woman. Equality through finances, power , politics or even freedom will not be secured until foundational norms link to ideal Images and stereotypes be lifted on our general civilization.
