UFO's are not a new phenomena. An apparent UFO battle was reported in 16th-century Europe. Things don’t get any less weird when you fast forward to the 1560s, when people living in Germany and Switzerland reported seeing strangely shaped objects doing aerial battle and flying around. The first sighting occurred in 1561 when two men who were out hunting for wild boar came across a strange object hovering in the sky. The men described it as looking like a “small plate” that was spinning on its side while also flying through the air. It moved so quickly that they could not keep up with it on their horses, so they decided to chase after it on foot instead. This was not an isolated incident—similar reports began pouring in from other towns throughout Germany and Switzerland over the next few years. These sightings were so common that they even had names: "fiery shields" or "wheel-shaped objects." The descriptions of these UFOs were often similar: they appeared to be made of metal with flames coming out of them as they flew through the sky at high speeds. Joe had been assigned to the UNSC again for a simple mission. There were reports of the Covenant remnants launching strikes again, and Joe was personally requested to join the unit, likely owing to his Chozo Power Suit.

When Joe boarded the ship, he was surprised to see a Forerunner Monitor present on the ship. Apparently this Monitor knew something. Joe was, for his part, already decked out in his Chozo Power Suit, which had been massively upgraded over time and even made the Legendary model.

Joe approached the Monitor. “Greetings,” he said. “Spartan Delta-371, name’s Joe. Former Marine, rank of Captain. Who might you be?”

There has been a growing number of discoveries of Earth-like planets around nearby stars. Clearly, long-distance space travel has never seemed more exciting! Not to mention, colonizing Mars. Yes, space agencies and private companies already have elaborate plans to send humans to Mars in the next few years. There are a few complications standing in the way, however. The truth is, it isn’t easy for humans to survive in space for sustained periods of time. Primarily because of one very important element – oxygen. There is only a little oxygen available in space and the great distances make it hard to do quick refills. That is why one of the biggest challenges with long-distance space flight is transporting enough oxygen for astronauts to breathe. Another one is transporting enough fuel to power complex electronics. Well, scientists have yet again done an unbelievable thing. There is a new study which shows that it is possible to produce hydrogen (for fuel) and oxygen (for life) from water alone. How? By using a semiconductor material and sunlight (or starlight) in zero gravity. This makes sustained space travel a real possibility.
