had a really good night. feeling a little bit sick to my stomach but what can you do
#met seth from poolboy again today!! twice if you count each occurrence how i did the first time#so i’ve seen poolboy twice and theoretically met seth five times. i mean that’s how many conversations i had so. pretty fucking awesome#however i feel a little bit ill. cause of listening to my recording and hearing how awfully annoying i am#the keyboardists fiancé was actually standing right in front of us and so after the show he talked to us#cause me and my two friends who were there we were singing along to all the songs and poolboy is not a very famous band#so after the set was done the guy was like asking us questions and then he’s like yeah i’m actually engaged to jp from poolboy#and anyway that was really really cool in the moment. i just feel a little bit ill hearing myself talk to him?#like ‘poolboy is my fAvorite band .. ‘ ‘..my favorite song of theirs tOtal is corrections’#i dont know. i think i’m just dysphoric and autistic so i have to feel bad about conversations when i have them recorded#but. um. i met jp dreblow’s fiancé that’s Pretty Cool. and i talked to seth and he gave me a free CD!!!!#cause i only had a $20 or a $5 and it was $10 and they didn’t have change and so he said it’s fine just take it for free!!!!#this was after i told him that they’re my favorite band and the absolute coolest and that we had seen them before back in january#and all of that. and i did meet him three times that day (shdhdf it’s a silly way to count it) but also got his autograph so. i’m really#lucking out with these interactions. secret to a dream life: have the most random guys who live in your state be your favorite band#it can’t go wrong. these guys are absolutely incredible and i have had so many random opportunities to say hi and be really excited#anyways i have a year of the weasel vinyl from the january show (with autograph) and a good orchard CD from today (free and with lyrics)#and i got a photo with seth today. i’m pretty sure what i said was ‘could i get a photo with you if that’s normal?’ and he said yeah sure#i feel like my relationship with poolboy is like. the opposite of a parasocial relationship. or like the most amplified version of that#cause i think of them as super cool unattainable celebrities but it’s like. some guy with a masters in library science who i’m probably the#first person to have asked for an autograph or a photo or anything like that. but see there’s the funny thing is that it’s both kinds of it#on the one hand i think of them as fancy fancy when they’re just some guys. but i also think of myself as The Only Poolboy Superfan which is#not necessarily true. who knows really. but they’re sure pretty freaking awesome and i sure got to see them today!!!!#anyway i’m real tired but i was really happy to see poolboy today. even though i feel a little bit sick about how i speak and sound#cause that’s not going to change. and it’s not like anyone said anything about it so i can assume they didn’t notice#i just have this creeping feeling at all times that everyone i meet is just treating me nice cause i’m too obviously autistic#like they hear what i say and they hate me and they judge me but they say well clearly something’s wrong with this kid so i’ll let it slide#but hey. some people love me. so hopefully your average stranger doesn’t hate me as much as i’m scared they might. i sure hope they don’t#anyway i had a good night it was really good i’m just being me a little bit. i hope everyone is well i’m about to go to sleep#friends only#i’ll be around in the morning this is my last tag i love you all very much and see you tomorrow goodnight

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spencer parks in front of your apartment building and stays in his seat as you get out. You both had decided that packing up right away and not going to lunch was better. That way, you can learn more about each other on the way there. You couldn't wait to get inside that smarty-pants brain of his and find out what's really going on in there.
You shut the car door and start walking, but stop when you don't hear his footsteps behind you. When you walk back to the car, you see Spencer sticking his battery in the cigarette lighter to charge.
"You're more than welcome to come in, y'know." You chuckled.
Spencer looks up at you, licking his lips as he moves some of his hair behind his ear. "It's ok, I don't want to bother."
"You won't be a bother. I've been to yours, now you can come into mine."
"Oh, so that's how that works huh? You have to go into the guys apartment before the guy goes to yours?" Spencer said sarcastically.
"You know what I mean!" You pull open the car and grab his hand, "C'mon, Spence. You'll be fine!"
He giggles under his breath and comes out of the car. After locking it, the two of you head inside and up the elevator to the 4th floor. Once at your door, you unlock it and open up to 4 paws jumping onto you. You hear Spencer gasp in surprise and giggle at his reaction, making it seem like you were giggling at your two buddies. Sitting on your old couch was your next door neighbor, Seth, who was watching Pose on the tv.
"Thank you again for watching the boys while I was gone. I really owe you big time for doing this." you say as you get up from the floor.
Seth gets off of the couch and walks up to you to give you a hug. "Anytime! If anything, they can stay at my place when you go on a case-" He stops and looks over at Spencer, standing awkwardly by the door still and letting the dogs sniff him, "Although, it seems like this new case was a success."
"Shut up, Seth!" You giggle, lightly slapping him on the arm. Realizing you forgot your manners, you quickly try to take it back. "Seth, meet Dr.Spencer Reid. Doc, meet my neighbor, Seth."
Seth reached his hand out to shake, but Spencer politely denies. "Sorry, I-I don't shake hands. It's actually been proven that it's safer to kiss." You catch Seth's eyes looking him up and down. "Seth stop teasing him like that!" You laugh. Spencer wasn't into guys, but somehow Seth looking at him made you a little jealous. You're not even dating the man, y/n shut up, you think to yourself.
"You and I will talk later." He says.
"Oh, Spence! These are my babies. The scottie is Benedict and the husky is Draco."
The room went silent for a moment, Spencer trying to hold in a chuckle. "Yes, I did name them after Benedict Cumberbatch and Draco Malfoy. I've had them picked out since I was a teenager, don't judge."
"Oh c'mon hun," said Seth, "it's adorable that you named them the way you did."
"It is," Spencer spoke, "I didn't depict you as a nerd."
"Oh my god, you kidding? She's probably the biggest nerd I've ever met with all her Sherlock and other crime shows, Harry Potter, Doctor Wh-"
"Ok, I think he gets it Seth!" You cut him off. That was enough embarrassment for today.
"I will say, Benedict or Tom Felton could always come my way."
You slap him on the arm again laughing. You look back at Spencer, who was awkwardly chuckling along with. You then announce that you were going to get in the shower. "Seth, can you take them for a few more nights? We're going up to my dad's cabin back home for the weekend. Also, when I get out and do my makeup, you promised me that you would tell me how your date went last night with 'Mr.Perfect' as you said it."
"Bitch I have ALLLLLL the tea that I'm not missing on spilling!"
"Good. Now you two get along. And Spence," He looks up at you, his hazel eyes looking into you...
"Don't miss me too much, hm?"
Then you walked into your bathroom, trying to wrap your brain on the fact that you just said that to him.
                           ~Spencer's POV~ I can't believe she said that.
She left me here a little turned on. I could start feeling my pants getting tight and had to put my bag over myself as I sat on the couch so then I wouldn't embarrass myself in front of Seth. I looked around her apartment to distract myself of thoughts of being in the shower with her. She had a very interesting aesthetic. Walls white with old picture frames that had beautifully taken old photos in them. The lamps that were in the living room looked like they were from the 70's, old gold coating chipped off at some parts of the stand. While there was a vintage look to her place, it was also very modern at the same time, a minimalistic look took over her kitchen. She had a fake vine hanging from the wall behind her tv, some of it covering her maroon record player. In some ways, our aesthetics were similar. If she had a bookcase in here, I'd feel like I was at my place.
Seth and I began to get to know each other. I came to find out that Seth worked as a bartender at a club, and he enjoyed taking photos for his social media. "I would love to be a photographer," he said, "but right now it's just a hobby that I do mostly during the colder months." He says cold, cloudy days (especially if it's raining) were the best times to take photos, in his opinion.
"So," he says, "you work with y/n at the BAU?"
"Yeah, we've really become good friends in the past 9 days. It's like we've known each other for years. Plus, she's great out on the field. She's definitely someone myself and the rest of the team will never take for granted."
"Thank god," Seth said as I heard the water turn off, "She told me that it was her dream to be a part of the BAU. She would never stop talking about it when she was in college."
"Hm, she never mentioned that to me."
"Well, let her tell you on your way to the cabin. She'll love it."
After a little bit more conversation, y/n came back to the living room. Her hair was damp, not fully wet but not dry either. She had thrown on a white turtle neck shirt with a brown sweater vest over it. She matched it with darker brown corduroy pants, cuffing the bottoms. In her hands was what looked like to be her makeup bag. She sat down in front of the mirror that was in the corner on the left side of the tv (when you look at the tv), beginning the process.
Seth and y/n talk about his date from last night and got pretty detailed about it. He talked about how the man took him to a gay bar that was a few blocks from here, and how they danced and drank the night away. "Oh and then get this," says Seth, "we're pretty drunk at this point, right? Well at one point, the local queen that performed came up to me and tried to flirt and shit, thinking she was all that and a bag of lashes, and he saw how uncomfortable I was and stood up for me. And let me tell you, he was REA-DY to throw hands!"
"Stooooop he's literally a keeper!" y/n says.
Once she was done with her makeup, she gets up and goes back to her room, coming back out with her luggage. She goes over to the door to grab a pair of Vans and comes back to tell Seth and her children goodbye.
"I'll be back in a few days. Thanks again, Seth. I really-"
"Owe me one, I know I know!" Seth cuts her off, "Now go have some fun and relax, you need to after working so damn hard for this job!" He turns to me and waves. "And it was very nice meeting you, Doctor."
"It was nice to meet you, too! But please, you can just call me Spencer."
Seth smiles as we walk out the door. What this trip will bring? For once, I'm letting fate take the lead instead of science.
~Y'N's POV~ It had been about a few hours of being on the road. At this point, you were somewhere in Pennsylvania, but not sure if you were close enough to Philly to grab a cheesesteak. You think back to the start of the drive. You suggested that you'd be the dj because your library on spotify had a full range of genres with some songs you had no clue were in there. "It'd be a fun little journey!" You told Spencer. And that it was, a journey.
You ended up driving right by a dispensary before even leaving DC. Garcia told you that that's where she gets her stuff, but knowing that bringing a lot of weed across the country wouldn't be a fun trip, you two decided to go with the original plan and just wait till you get to Michigan.
You could tell Spencer was getting a kick out of your music library. While majority of the songs he didn't know, he was still being goofy and jamming out along with you, trying to match the same energy you were having. The songs that talked about sex, drugs, and/or alcohol surprised him every time, his jaw dropping or his eyes bulging out of his head as he listened to the lyrics. You couldn't help yourself but laugh at his reactions, which would make him laugh along with you.
You two weren't alone, however. You were pretty much sucking down on the carts you still had, although you both made a deal that whoever was driving could only get a little high if they wanted to, drinking plenty of water and eating snacks to sober you up a bit if needed.
Driving through Pennsylvania, you look out the window and onto the scenery around you. You weren't paying attention, however, because you couldn't stop the dirty thoughts that intruded your mind. You couldn't help to think about giving him head, since you hadn't done it yet because both times he gave you all the pleasure. You couldn't wait to get to the cabin and go straight to your knees for him. Suddenly, you tried to get them out of your head. 'You're getting way too excited, y/n. STOP IT!' you thought to yourself.
You decided to just feel everything around you, taking a few more hits from your pen before taking it in. Nineteen by Movements was playing; it was like you could feel the song itself and everything about it as you looked up at the very tall street lamps passing by. Nothing felt better than this moment. Just you and Spencer out on the open road. It felt like nothing could stop you two. You felt free, but you also felt safe and complete, something you haven't felt in a long time.
At one point, you couldn't take it anymore. It was 2:30am and Spencer was still driving. He told you to get some sleep but you weren't sleepy or tired at all. You tried to feel free but when you did, you thought of Spencer, which led to dirty thoughts. It was like you couldn't escape it, and every time the thoughts came, you couldn't help but secretly rub your thighs together for some kind of friction.
As you tried to get the thoughts out of your head, you look over to see a nice little surprise. The passing lights outside helping you see, you noticed the bulge in Spencer's pants. How in the hell would he be getting hard now of all times? Were dirty thoughts intruding his mind, too? Seeing that made you even more wet than you already were. This was your chance.
You look out to the open road in front of you, and gently graced your fingers across his bulge. You look out the corner of your eye...nothing. Not even a flinch. 'Playing hard to get, hm?' You thought to yourself. So you did it again, which made him shift in his seat a little, still pretending he didn't notice anything. Finally, with some kind of courage that you never knew you had, you grabbed his cock through his pants and slowly started to stroke it. His eyes came out of his head, letting out a small gasp.
"You know I'm driving, right?" He asked, "We could crash if I'm paying attention more to this and not on the road."
You give him a smirk, "It's almost 3am," you begin to say, but then you notice that you're the only car on the road, "and no one else is on the road right now."
You start to undo his belt with your one hand. "You pleasured me twice already," you continue, your hand successfully undoing the belt and undoing the zipper on his pants, reaching inside to pull out his already, fully hard cock, "I need to show my thanks somehow, don't I?"
Spencer shifts in his seat, keeping his eyes out on the road. You were kind of hoping he was looking for somewhere to pull over, but you wouldn't mind doing it as he drove. "You...you already did...b-by inviting me to your dad's cabin."
You stopped stroking and he almost let out a whimper. "I saw that bulge in your pants just a few minutes ago, are you suuuurree you don't want to...daddy?"
Just hearing the word 'daddy' made him grab your hair tightly. You smiled as you shifted your position in your seat to go down on him. When you were ready, Spencer stopped at a red light and pulled your face close to his, lips almost ghosting each other.
"You better make daddy feel good then, since you're being such a fucking brat right now." He whispered as you continued to slowly stroke him again.
You couldn't even react to what he said because once the light turned green, he guided your head down to his cock before letting the tightness on your head go and letting his hand rest on top. You decided to egg on your bratty-ness by teasing the tip, giving him kitty licks at first and then slowly just running your tongue in it, licking up the pre cum.
Spencer tightens his grip again, making you whimper. "I'm not sure doing that is a good idea, angel. Do you want to get punished once we're there?"
You shook your head no, but the thought of him punishing you made you feel yourself drip between your thighs.
Spencer moves his grip from your hair and slaps your ass with a huge SMACK, which made you moan loudly.  "You have to use your words, angel. Unless you want to be a little slut tonight."
You look up at him to see his eyes were still on the road. You smirk as you pump him a few times before taking his head in your mouth. You bob up and down slowly, hearing him grunt and curse under his breath. You step it up by going down a little lower, each time going back up and then going lower until you had all of him in your mouth. You stayed like that for a few moments, gagging on it.
"Oh fuuuck that's it...that's it baby, take my cock in your mouth, just like that." He says before pulling you off to let you breathe. He's quiet for a moment before he says, "Now I'm going to guide you, angel. You're gonna make daddy feel more good than he already was, got it?"
"Yes, daddy." you answer, knowing that he wanted to hear you say again.
He pushes your head back on his cock, moving you head faster than before. He couldn't get enough it, making you gag every so often and pulling you back up. Spencer's cock twitched in your mouth and you knew he was close. He controls your head faster, his rhythm getting sloppy.
"You want me to cum in that pretty mouth of yours, angel? You want daddy's cum?" He growled, trying not to thrust into your mouth as he continues to drive.
"Mhmm!" You moan, which almost made him go over the edge.
"Keep doing that for daddy, moan for me. God, I bet you just love having my cock in your mouth, but I'm sure you're just desperate for my cum."
You moan again. That you were. You wanted his cum so bad in your mouth so you could taste him; taste how good you made him feel.
"Don't...fuck...don't stop doing that, angel...that's it...fuck I'm gonna cum..."
And with that, you feel his cum shoot inside your mouth, letting out moans and cursing. You slowly continued to suck him, getting every last drop. When you did, you move up to face Spencer as he pulled over, showing his cum in your mouth at first and then closing your mouth to swallow and open back up to show him it was gone. The look in his eyes told you that that was the hottest thing he's ever seen.
Spencer pulls you in surprisingly and attacks your lips with his, as if he was hungry for them. He was almost eating your face but you didn't care, you kissed him back and let your tongues play with one another. You both pull away after a bit and he just looks into your eyes. You look into his hazel eyes and felt complete.
"Now, will you stop being a brat and get some sleep?" He asks.
You giggle as you quickly look at the time in the car radio. "It's 3:15," you said, "it's my turn to drive."
"But now you're all tired from pleasing daddy," he jokes, "so you get some sleep, and I'll drive. I really don't mind it. Honest."
"Are you sure?"
Spencer nods his head. You decided to give in and get comfy in your seat.
"Goodnight, Spence." You say as you move the top part of the seat all the way back. You grabbed your traveling pillow and placed it on top of your right arm, laying your head as you turned your body to face away from him.
"Goodnight, angel."
We Don’t Know What’s Out There
So my friend M is a bad (fantastic) influence, and when I shared an instagram post that was basically a prompt with them, they encouraged me to write it. So, I did. Read it on Ao3!
Summary: While Mike Newton is waiting for the semester to start at his Sacramento college, he finds himself turning to the TV show "Ghost Adventures" to keep himself entertained. He knows it's all fake, of course. At least, he thought he did, until he finds himself looking at a familiar face.
....
“The ghost we’re hunting tonight is Edward Anthony Masen Jr. He was a patient at this Chicago hospital during the Spanish Influenza in 1918, until he vanished without a trace.”
"Is that... Cullen?"
After finally, mercifully, at last leaving Forks in early August, Mike Newton found himself without much to do. His parents had insisted that he move down to Sacramento before the semester started.
That would make sense, except that the semester didn’t start for three weeks, and Mike was bored out of his skull.
So, like anyone might in his situation, he turned to the TV to occupy his time. It was a small thing, but it would get the job done.
Huh, wonder what’s this about, Mike thought, pausing his rapid flipping on five guys in a dark hallway, decked out in night vision equipment. The banner in the bottom of the screen said “Ghost Adventures.”
“Elizabeth, speak to us, ” one of them said, holding out a radio.
Huh. Might as well see what this is about.
---
It was a quiet evening in the Cullen house. Renesmee was visiting Jacob on the reservation, much to Edward’s chagrin.
“If you keep frowning like that, your face might get stuck that way.” Bella used her thumb to smooth out the skin between her husband’s eyebrows before cupping his cheek. Bella didn’t like being away from Renesmee any more than Edward did, she was just better at hiding it.
Edward sighed, leaning into Bella’s hand.
Dude, you’re pathetic.
Edward shot a glare in Emmett’s direction before meeting Bella’s eyes. “It’s hard, her being where we cannot.”
“I know.” Bella sighed. “At least we know Jake would protect her, if anything happened.”
“Hmm.”
---
Man! Who knew a communications class would be so hard! Mike turned away from his homework. Spring semester had been kicking his ass for weeks now.
At least he lived on his own. Mike couldn’t imagine what it would be like, having to share a room the size of a shoebox with another person. Especially since they probably wouldn’t let him watch his favorite show!
“Ghost Adventures” had pretty quickly become Mike’s latest fixation. He’s never missed an episode, a fact he is shamelessly proud of.
From the corner of his desk, his phone buzzed. Jessica, of course.
Mike has been trying to shake her off for months, to no avail. He sighed.
That’s it, that’s enough for today. Mike pushed away from his desk and turned on the TV. Ghost Adventures would be on soon.
---
“Don’t ‘hmm’ at me,” Bella smiled, “use your words.”
“Yeah, Edward, use your words .” Emmett guffawed.
“ That’s it.” Edward started to rise out of his seat, and Emmett happily took a defensive stance.
They launched at each other.
From upstairs, Esme’s voice rang out, “You boys better mind my furniture!”
---
A few miles away, in La Push, Jacob and Renesmee had just gotten back to Billy’s house. The Pack had gone cliff diving, and Renesmee insisted on attending, even if it gave Jacob a heart attack.
“I’m just as durable as you are,” she’s said, in that special way of hers.
“I know, I know. But you’re not even one yet, Nessie!” Nevermind that she was already the size of a 10-year-old at just 9, almost 10, as Nessie enjoyed reminding him, months old. “It’s the principle of the thing!”
Renesmee just pressed her desire into his skin harder. Jacob was powerless.
“Okay, okay!”
And so they’d gone. They had a fantastic time, once Jacob “got over himself,” as Seth has put it.
Now, they were nestled on Billy’s couch, flipping through the channels. Renesmee stopped him on one.
“Oh, Ness, you probably won’t want to watch this. It’s scary.”
There were questions in Nessie’s hands.
“It’s about ghost hunting. Or, at least, that’s what they think they’re doing. We both know ghosts don’t exist, but they play a lot of scary music, and they try to freak you out. Frankly, I think it’s kind of funn-”
“The ghost we’re hunting tonight is Edward Anthony Masen Jr. He was a patient at this Chicago hospital during the Spanish Influenza in 1918, until he vanished without a trace.”
Nessie’s hand pressed insistently to his cheek. “Daddy?”
Jake was in shock. “Uh, yeah. That’s your dad. Hold on-” he reached for his phone.
---
Breaking away from Emmett, Edward picked up his phone when it started to ring, heart sinking when he saw Jacob’s name.
“Jacob? Is everything okay?” Every eye in the room turned to Edward, each vampire holding their breath.
“Turn on Ghost Adventures right now! They’re talking about you!”
Bella had the TV on before Jacob finished speaking.
“ Will Edward be among the spirits we talk to here tonight?”
---
“The ghost we’re hunting tonight is Edward Anthony Masen Jr. He was a patient at this Chicago hospital during the Spanish Influenza in 1918, until he vanished without a trace. His parents, Elizabeth and Edward Masen Sr., were also patients, and their bodies were recovered.”
During Zak’s monologue, a blurry photo of the Masen family was shown. Mike dropped his hot pocket.
“Is that Cullen?”
---
Mike Newton watched the rest of the episode, growing increasingly nauseous with each passing minute.
The guy in the photos, Edward Anthony Masen, looks almost exactly like Edward Cullen. But there’s no way, right? Even if that Edward had survived the Spanish Flu, there’s no way he’d still be alive now. And even if he was , he wouldn’t look like Edward Cullen. He’d be a wrinkly old man!
Yeah, yeah, Mike told himself. There’s no way. That’s crazy though, Cullen is a dead ringer for that guy. Wow.
---
After that night, appearing on ghost shows became a bit of a running joke in the Cullen household. They had a white board set up behind the television, keeping tally. Given how often paranormal TV shows enjoy venturing into abandoned hospitals and psychiatric wards, Edward and Alice had the most marks, with Alice in the lead, to her unending delight.
One of Emmett’s favorite pastimes, whenever one of them appeared on an episode, was to sit in front of the TV shouting “they’re right here, you idiots!” and “boo!”
Renesmee erupts into giggles whenever he does it, so no one has asked him to stop.
---
Mike Newton has yet to move home from Sacramento. He’d visit Forks during school breaks, and stay for most of the summer, but he kept his apartment in Sacramento until he graduated.
Once it was time to move out, however, him never moving home for the summer came back to bite him.
“ How have I accumulated so much crap ?” Mike sighed as he looked over the haphazard piles of things he needed to shove into boxes. His parents would be here in a few hours with a trailer.
Resigned, Mike sighed and grabbed the first box.
He got distracted, naturally. He had found a box with old high school memories, and was laughing at a picture of himself and Bella “playing” volleyball in the yearbook.
Beneath the pile of yearbooks, there was a thick, nicely printed envelope addressed to him.
Huh. What’s this? Mike thought, as he pulled it out.
“This” was a wedding invitation. Bella’s, actually. Mike smiled. He wondered how she was doing, and resolved to check in with her when he got home.
Over the next few minutes, Mike found his eyes repeatedly straying back to the wedding invitation. Something about it was nagging at him, but he didn’t know what.
I mean, I’ve always thought it was weird how people put their full names on their invitations. Michael Welch Newton? No thank you. He shuddered, and his eyes strayed to the invitation once again. Isabella Marie Swan. That has a nicer ring to it, I guess. But Edward’s is a mouthful. Edward Anthony Masen Cu-
Mike paused. Why did that name sound so familiar? He pulled out his phone. This is probably a long shot . He typed Edward’s name into the search bar.
No results for ‘Edward Anthony Masen Cullen,’ two million results for ‘Edward Anthony Masen.’
Mike dropped his phone.
---
The banner stretching across the windows in the back of the house read “Happy Fourth Anniversary!”
Bella clasped her hands together, and silently thanked that she couldn’t blush anymore. “Aw! You guys are so sweet, thank you!”
“And of course, we have gifts!” Alice beamed at the couple, only Jasper’s hand in hers stopping her from bounding across the room to pull her siblings into a hug.
That, after all, was Renesmee’s job.
“Happy anniversary, Mom and Dad!” Ness threw herself into her parents arms. Now almost 4-years-old, Renesmee was the size of a 16-year-old, but had a maturity far beyond her years.
Bella and Edward smiled at their daughter, and simultaneously pressed stone kisses to her flaming cheeks.
Soon after, Jacob’s pack arrived. Over the years, Leah had warmed to the Cullens considerably, though she still scrunched her nose for the first few minutes she was inside. She, Jacob, and Seth each greeted Edward and Bella with a scorching hug.
“Happy anniversary, guys!”
“Thanks, Seth.” Edward smiled while Renesmee went and claimed a couch for her and Jacob.
“Okay, gifts!” Alice flitted around the room. Bella sighed.
Jasper raised an eyebrow, smiling. “You should be proud she lasted this long, Bella.”
Bella laughed. “Yes, heaven forbid Alice learn restraint .”
“ Hey! ”
Bella stuck her tongue out at Alice, Emmett guffawed, Renesmee stifled her laugh in Jacob’s shoulder.
Alice bounced back towards and thrust an envelope into Bella’s hands. She opened the envelope and pulled out 4 plane tickets, round trip, to Ireland.
“Wow, Alice. Thank you, this is too much.” Bella stood and pulled her sister into a hug.
“Well, I wanted to make sure that it was a place that was cloudy enough for you all to go outside during the day, and also spoke English. As fantastic as your German is, Bella, I’m not sure how long you could survive.”
Bella playfully snarled at Alice; Alice cheerfully stuck out her tongue in response.
“I’m just glad you’re getting out of the country so we’re no longer in the blast radius of your hot, passionate -”
“Emmett!” Bella shot a glare in his direction before glancing at Renesmee.
Then, there was a knock at the door.
Mike Newton was only staying on the Cullen’s front porch out of sheer force of will. Hell, he was only standing out of sheer force of will. He’d barely slept the last few days, hell, months . Mike had become obsessed, reading everything he could about Edward Anthony Masen, which wasn’t much, and then about the Cullen family--which was somehow even fewer. No social media, no public marriage licenses. He’d found just enough to suggest they existed, not much more. He was no private investigator, but it still rubbed Mike the wrong way.
Dr. Cullen opened the door. “Mr. Newton! What brings you here? Are you alright?”
Mike tried not to throw up. “Yeah, uh, hi! Dr. Cullen. I, uh, well, here’s the thing,” he took a deep breath. “This is probably going to sound ridiculous. I think I’ve actually gone insane, lost it, like my gran. Ha ha! Yeah, uh.”
WIth each word, Dr. Cullen looked more and more concerned. Over his shoulder, Mike could see a ‘Happy Anniversary’ sign.
“So, um, if you could just confirm something for me real fast, that would be great. Spectacular really.”
“Of course, what do you need, Mike?”
The words rushed out of him. “If you could just tell me that Edward is not actually a ghost that somehow has a physical body that would be great.”
The man himself walked into Mike’s field of vision. “Ah, you saw the ‘Ghost Adventures’ episode too, did you? It’s amazing, how much we look alike. Edward Anthony Masen is a cousin of mine, on my biological father’s side.”
Mike blinked dumbly. “Oh. Huh. That, uh, makes a lot of sense. Huh. Okay. Um, thanks, I guess.”
“Of course.”
Smiling, Dr. Cullen closed the door.
---
“What the fuck was that ,” Jacob asked.
Edward pinched the bridge of his nose. “It seems, rather annoyingly, that Mike Newton is more clever than I gave him credit for.”
“This is dangerous, Edward,” Carlisle looked nervous. “These shows, and their digging into the past… people that have seen us are starting to recognize us.”
“Surely there is something we can do?” Esme placed a calming hand on Carlisle’s arm.
“You just saw it,” Alice chirped. “Play it off like we’re our own long-lost relatives. We’ve all seen it before; humans want to accept the most reasonable explanation.”
They lapsed into silence, lost in thoughts.
“Edward may want to lose the middle names, though,” Rosalie drolled.
“Yeah,” Leah scoffed. “Probably.” Renesmee laughed.
The tension broke, and their day resumed.
“So,” Jacob swung a fist and bumped Bella’s arm. “When do you want to go to Ireland, bestie?”
Bella groaned.
Roommates: Chapter 3
Warning: poly-ish relationship, swearing
This is written slightly different than Chapter 1 and Chapter 2.  Hope you all like it.
Time frame All-Star Break
Tumblr media
Josh tried to wrap you up in his strong arms but nothing was easing your mind about the phone that he kicked off the bed. You are pretty sure he tried to break it to not deal with the situation.
"Josh, could you please let me go and tell me what the hell is going on?" You try to pull away from his chest to look at his face. You could enough to notice the full range of emotions he was trying to hide but you knew him and he couldn't hide it from you.
"I need to figure out what to do. I need to make a call. Can you just jump in the shower and meet me on the couch okay?" Josh kissed your forehead and you nodded in agreement. Josh slid out of bed, picked up your phone quickly. His eyes shifted to the iPad on the dresser. "Yeah, I'll be taking that too Babe." His smirk appeared for a second and you threw your body down on the bed in defeat.
_____JOSH_____
"How the fuck did she get tagged Murr?" His voice was low but tense while pacing the kitchen checking to see if (y/n) was following his direction.
"I don't know Andy, but she was and we need to untag her now!" Ryan was remarkably calm sounding. Josh picks up (y/n)’s phone and types in the code.  “What are you doing?  You need to talk.”
“I’m untagging her.  And I’m gonna need you to restrict your tags NOW.”  Josh rubbed the back of his neck remembering when a crazed fan made him do the same a few years prior.
The post he was staring at painful to see.  (Y/n)’s bracelet in clear view as someone snapped a picture of him at Forno then with Ryan from a tagged pic in North Market, and sitting with some of the Lady Jackets at a game this season.  In her typical position of legs up and arms folded across her knees.   The caption: Is @ (y/n username) just a friend, a roommate, or more?  Who has the deets?
The ballsy instagram account was known to stir the pot with all NHL players.  Josh was thankful Columbus was a small enough market and that he kept under radar.  Here and there they would try to link a girl to him but without proof it died.  This.  The connection of (y/n)’s bracelet was damning.  “Fuck!”  Josh finally broke the silence.
“Andy, we are fine.  This isn’t going to effect anything.  I’ll be back in a day and we can talk about it before the team party.”
“And what the fuck do you want me to tell her, huh?”  Josh barked.
“Just tell me please.”  (y/n)’s voice was small sounding compared to the yelling in Josh’s head saying his world was about to come crashing down.
“I’m facetiming you.”  Ryan stated and there he was on the screen.  “(Y/n), I’m not sure why this happened....”  he started.
“And we already untagged all of us and moved you to private.”  Josh chimed in and wraps his arm around (y/n) while holding the phone so Ryan could see her face.
“Wait?  What?”  (y/n)’s voice squeaked out.  “I’m in photos with the two of you...and we were tagged?”  The color in her cheeks fully gone and Josh wanted to take it all away with a kiss but he just squeezed.
The boys spent the next few moments letting her look at the pictures, the comments, and then (y/n) retreated to the couch to create a blanket cocoon.
“I’m sorry doesn’t even cut it, Baby.”  Josh sits close enough but intentionally giving space.  (Y/n) leans into him and the sigh of relief that she wasn’t super mad at him was audible.
“You didn’t do anything J.  I just...I mean...I don’t.”  Tears formed and fell without warning but in a sense of knowing, Josh leaned down to kiss at them away.
“Let’s just order breakfast in and watch movies all day okay?”  Her head hardly moved but he took it as yes.
_____RYAN_____
“You okay man?”  Alex looked up at Ryan in the living space of their beach rental.
“No, something at home came up.  I’m going to catch a flight today.  I’m gonna pack but I’ll see you at the team party this week.”  Ryan didn’t even look up from his flight itinerary.
“Home home or Columbus home?”  Alex’s voice sounded concerned.
“Columbus.”  And with that Ryan retreated to his room to grab his things.
The flight seemed like eternity and he flipped through every group photo with (y/n) in it to see if anyone could see more than a bunch of friends hanging out.  He scrolled through (y/n)’s instagram looking for anymore pictures of her bracelet that she never took off.  It was in almost every picture where you could see her wrist.  Ryan rubbed the bridge of his nose and willed the plane to fly faster.
He opened the door and dropped his bag.
“Holy shit!”  Josh’s voice was groggy and Ryan’s attention shot to the couch.  He could see (y/n) under her favorite blanket nestled into Josh’s chest.
“Sorry.  I thought you would be in bed.  She okay?”  Ryan made his way to the couch and sat next to them.
“I don’t know actually.  She seems fine then a tear will appear out of thin air.  She hasn’t even asked to see her phone.  I got a text from her mom asking if she was home or if I’d seen her.  I told her she wasn’t feeling well and hadn’t picked up her phone.  Hopefully that didn’t send up too many red flags.”  Josh looked down at (y/n) and then back to Ryan.
“Let’s get her to bed, kay?”  Ryan popped up and scooped (y/n) up then headed to her room.  He took in her facial features while walking.  Her face seemed slightly blouchy but nothing saying she cried all day.  She whimpered a bit when he sat her down.  Josh was right behind him.  “I’m going to change but I’ll be back.”
_____JOSH_____
“We don’t have to go (y/n).  Right, Ryan?”  Not going would looks super suspicious.
“Maybe you two should go and I’ll just stay home and order in.”  (Y/N) raised her head from the couch cushion.  “I’m not a WAG or a teammate...not sure WHY I should go to the team party anyway?”  Josh’s look at Ryan was one that needed no words.  (Y/n)’s mood about the post went from random tears to everything is fine to well I’m not a girlfriend in anyone’s eyes so who fucking cares in the course of two days.
“We are going and I’m not taking no for an answer.”  Ryan was firm and didn’t even address her self-deprecating statement.  “We are ALL going.  We are ALL taking a Lyft together.  We are ALL going to do this thing just like we always do.”
“Yeah, what he said.”  Josh half chuckled which made (y/n) slightly smile.  “Now will you get your ass up and change into something besides my sweats please?  We need to get going.”
The ride over was silent for the most part expect Ryan’s small talk with the driver from the front seat.  Cam and Natalie’s house wasn’t far from downtown thankfully.  The trio slipped in and almost immediately separated.  (y/n) found the drinks and a chair to sit in that was awkward enough that no one would approach her really.  Josh mumbled to himself watching her actions wishing he could sweep her up and kiss that mood away.
“We need to fucking talk friend.”  Seth leaned into Josh.  Without turning around he nodded and headed towards the front steps.  Both men sat down.  Seth looked around before looking at Josh.
“How was the Bahamas?” Josh started.
“Fine and we missed you but that’s not what I want to talk about.”  Seth had his going to be captain one day voice on and Josh knew exactly what was coming next.  “Look, I’ve known there has been something going on with you and (y/n) for some time now beyond roommates but I also see the way Murr looks at her.”  Seth grabbed Josh’s knee.  “I’m just worried about you Andy.”
“Thanks but I’m fine.”  Josh left it at that hoping Seth would make his opinions known and leave it be.
“No you aren’t.  You aren’t fine and I can see it.  You forget how well I know you.  How much time we spend together on and off the ice.”  Seth took a deep breath.  “Just tell me this, do you love her?”  Josh nods in agreement and puts his face in his hands.  “Does she know you love her?”
“Yes.”  His voice sounded foreign with the simple word.
“Do you like sharing her?” Seth’s words stung and Josh felt it.
“What are you idiots doing out here?” Luc comes around the corner.
“Just catching up from break.”  You would never know by the way Seth said it that he dropped a bomb as big as Hiroshima on Josh’s heart seconds before.
_____RYAN_____
“(Y/n), come play Kan Jam with me?”  He reached out his hand.
“No, I’m good.  Natalie is frosting cookies with the kids so I’m going to help with that in a sec.  Go play with Wenny.”  (y/n) pointed out the window to where Felicia and Alex were setting up the cans to play.  Ryan brushed his knuckles across her’s before retreating to the back yard.
“Muuuuurrrrr!  You going to play with us?”  Felicia squealed.
“Sure.”  Ryan shrugged and flashed a smile that was missing something and Felicia seemed to catch it.
“Give us a minute Babe.”  She held up a finger and pulled Ryan towards the back of the yard.
“What was that for?”  Ryan acted like he was clueless on why she just over powered him to talk where no one could hear.
“Talk. Now!”  She crossed her arms and tapped her foot.  Eyebrow raised looking dead into Ryan’s eyes.  He just stood there.  “Okay.  I’ll talk.  I follow (y/n) and you AND JOSH on Instagram.  I’m not stupid.  She was tagged in a very interesting post.  What the Fuck Ry?”  Felicia wasn’t holding anything back.  “I know Alex didn’t see it but I’m not guaranteeing anyone else on the team didn’t.”
“Okay?  Roommates cannot hang out?”  Ryan quickly replied.
“Tjurskit!”  She shouted.
“Canadian here Felicia!”  Ryan pointed at this face.
“Ok, well I call bull shit.”  The corner of her mouth turned up.  “And here is why...” holding up her fingers to count.  “You never agree to the dates I try to set you up on.  You come to couple events with our friends alone.  You lead her out by the small of her back.  You don’t look at her like a roommate but someone you are sleeping with.”
“It’s more than that.”  Ryan whispered kicking at the grass.
“WHAT?”  Felicia pulls his face up with the fingers she was just counting with.
“I love her.  I’m in love with her.  She’s the one and I’m stuck.”  Ryan cannot believe the words that came out of his own mouth.  He’s kept that under lock and key for the good part of a year without even telling his sister who assumed there was more to the relationship besides friendship.
“Stuck Ry?  How?  Is that post true?  What is going on?  If she’s your girlfriend just come out and say it. “
“It’s just complicated...okay?” Ryan exhaled.
Just Us
Pairing: Seth Levine x MC (Jessica Parker)
Book: Red Carpet Diaries (~Book 3, Chapter 3)
Word Count: ~2600
Rating:  PG-13 (a bit of language, some innuendo)
Summary: Seth always felt that Jessica was way out of his league, but it turns out those insecurities might have caused him more trouble than he could imagine.
Author’s Note: Written for Day 20 of the Choices July Challenge (just a week late, oops; prompt - Commitment).
This is a follow up to my Day 7 piece (prompt - Reflection) titled Why? and linked in my masterlist.
Tumblr media
Seth awoke with a start, disoriented as sunlight hit him square in the eye. Where was he? As he blinked the sleep from his eyes, he quickly remember last night. Deciding to spend the night at Jessica’s after his plane landed, figuring he’d only have to wait up a couple of hours to see her, but feeling his eyes getting heavy within minutes on sinking onto his side of her bed. He remembered thinking he could take a little nap before she got back from her appearance at that nightclub and setting an alarm on his phone, but he must have turned it off in his sleep, because his only other memory was waking up briefly when Jessica was getting into bed. He couldn’t even be sure if they said anything to each other before he passed out again. Whatever the case, she was gone now, as he was alone in her bedroom.
He reached over and grabbed his phone, looking to check the time. 10:47. Well, damn. Good thing he didn’t have anything going on until this afternoon. He was surprised, not only that it was getting dangerously close to noon for him still to be in bed, but also that he was even able to sleep this late. When he’d first moved out to LA, he’d been able to sleep in until any hour of the day. Back then, when he was fighting for the 2 am slot at open mic nights, he would sleep until noon or 1 pm without issue, but as the years marched on, he found himself getting up earlier and earlier no matter what time he went to bed. And now that his 30th birthday was months, not years, away, well it just kept getting worse. It was no wonder his trip had worn him out, with all the traveling and the late night sets, and then the need to stay at the bar after every show to chat with the audience. He had been out past 2 am every night, and then he usually had to get to the airport early enough to catch a morning flight.
God, did he sound like an old man. Actually, he sounded like his dad, a thought that was scary in its own right, and one that would not be a good idea to keep dwelling on before he got some coffee. Since Jessica was clearly up already, he knew there would be some left in the kitchen. Fingers crossed she would be there as well. They hadn’t spent much time together since their vacation, which probably wasn’t the ideal way to spend the week after you got engaged, come to think of it. That’s what he got for proposing on a whim.
Rubbing a hand over his face, he shuffled into Jessica’s bathroom to brush his teeth before he wandered into the living space of her penthouse apartment. He was thrilled to see her curled up on her sofa, mug of coffee in one hand, a worn copy of The Secret of Ninradell in the other. He cleared his throat as he entered the room, not wanting to startle her. She glanced up, smiling brightly when she saw him. God, she was so beautiful.
“Hey, who’s the sleepyhead now?” she asked as he strolled into her kitchen.
“Yeah yeah, Iowa.” Seth replied, shaking his head as he grabbed a mug out of the cabinet and poured himself a cup of coffee. He supposed that was fair, seeing as he teased her no less than once a week about how many times she would swipe to snooze on her phone.
She let him prepare his coffee, adding a bit of milk from the carton in her fridge, before she spoke again. “So, how was the trip? You have to tell me everything.”
He shrugged, leaning against her kitchen counter. “Oh, you know.” He was never really sure how his sets went. Plus, it felt strange to talk about them if he thought they went well, like he was bragging or something. And these ones did seem to go pretty well… but then again, he could never be sure.
Jessica looked up from her copy of Ninradell. She always tried to get him to talk about his shows, but she seemed to understand he just wasn’t comfortable doing that, moving on quickly to other topics. But today, something was different. She kept at it, asking, “How was your San Francisco show?”
“Fine, I guess.”
“Did you meet anyone interesting there?”
“No, was I supposed to? Oh crap, did you tell me that I was supposed to find someone there and I forgot? You know I don’t network as well-”
“No, no. Nothing like that,” she interrupted, dropping her eyes to her lap, twisting her fingers around each other. What the hell had her so nervous? Did she have a jealous ex who lived in San Fran or something?
“What is it, Jessica?”
She took a deep breath, letting out a sigh before she continued, “Don’t be mad, okay? I’m not accusing you of anything. I know you would never cheat on me.”
“Jessica, what the hell are you-” but she had clearly rehearsed this little speech, talking over his interruption, trying to get the whole thing out.
“I just figured if you are tempted or something like that, well maybe we should talk about it. It seems healthier than just pretending that everything is perfect if you are having doubts. And if this whole engagement is too overwhelming, I understand. If you want to just slow things down, have a long engagement or even just go back to dating, I promise I won’t be upset. I just want us to get back to a good place where we both feel comfortable with our level of commitment.”
Somewhere in the middle of her speech, Seth felt his heart begin to race and his mouth get dry. He knew that she was out of his league. He had always known that. But she must have just figured it out. Maybe the engagement made it more real, and she saw that tying herself to a mid-tier comic and mediocre screenwriter was a terrible idea. But whatever the reason, she was asking him to slow things down.
“If… if that’s what you want,” he choked out, trying to not let his sheer terror show.
“No! I am so happy with you. But Seth, I just want to make sure that you are just as comfortable. I don’t want to hold you to something that happened right after an adrenaline rush.”
Seth frowned, setting his coffee down on the counter. “Jessica, I feel like I’m missing something pretty big here. Why would you think I would want slow things down between us?”
He stared at her, trying to put the pieces together, but no matter how he thought about things, he felt like he was completely out of the loop. After a few seconds of painful silence, Jessica finally spoke.
“I just figured there must be some reason you wanted us to have an open relationship.”
Her voice was so small, so quiet, Seth almost missed it. And when he did hear it, he thought he must be hallucinating. Did she really think that he wanted an open marriage?
“No!” he bolted around the island, racing over to Jessica on the sofa, sitting down next to her and grabbing her hands. “Jessica, believe me. I don’t have any real interest in an open relationship.”
“Then why would you even ask? Come on, Seth. There must be some reason why you brought that up after we’d been exclusive for well over a year.”
She was right. There was a reason. It just wasn’t at all what she thought it was.
“I didn’t want to lose you.”
“Why would you lose me?”
“Because you are so far out of my league, Jessica.” She opened her mouth to argue that point, but Seth just shook his head. “You not believing that fact doesn’t make it any less true.”
“Even if that were true, which it’s not, by the way, why did you think that I would want to have an open marriage? What did I do that made you think that I would want to sleep with someone else?”
Seth sighed, grabbing her tablet off the coffee table and opening up a fan site he’d stumbled upon while waiting to catch his flight to San Francisco. It was dedicated to Jessica and seemed to have a pretty active membership. He’d been so proud of her, seeing how passionate people were about her work, her talent. But then he’d stumbled into a thread that focused on her personal life, and it was rife with speculation. About her. About them. About Matt and Hunt and Teja and Victoria. About all of her friends and why the hell they all went on vacation together.
“I think it’s just different in Hollywood, they all sleep around with each other and no one bats an eye at any of it,” read one comment.
“They’re all having sex with each other but are scared of the backlash if it ever came out. That’s why she’s openly with the most vanilla one in the whole group,” said another poster.
“She’s only with him publicly because it makes her seem more relatable. They clearly have an agreement,” claimed a different commenter.
Jessica scrolled through the thread, her eyes growing wide as she scanned across line after line of similar posts. After a few minutes of reading, she stopped, bringing her eyes up to meet his.
“This is all complete nonsense. You know that for a fact. Why would reading this make you think it held any truth at all?”
“I don’t know,” Seth rubbed the back of his neck, embarrassed that he had so clearly let his insecurities affect their relationship.
“Seth, have I ever given you any sign that I wanted to sleep with someone else?”
He shook his head. He’d never seen her so much as flirt with anyone.
“Then why would you ever believe this shit? Seth, I don’t get it. You trust TendrSomethingz476 and HawkeyezFan2969 more than you trust us? More than you trust me?”
When she said it that way, it made him feel like an idiot. Of course he trusted her more than some random internet strangers. But it was easy to feel that way now, when she was sitting next to him. It was a lot harder when he was alone and there were tabloid photos of her out with Hunt or going over to Matt’s mansion.
“Jessica, I trust you. I guess I just don’t trust that someone as amazing as you could be happy with just me. Not when you could have someone way better looking or more famous or-”
“Then you don’t trust me, because I have told you time and time again that I want you. I love you.”
“I love you, too. But you are this mega-famous, talented superstar, and I’m just this awkward, dorky writer and comic. On paper, it looks like you outgrew me. I’m the type of guy you date for a while before you land your first big role, get noticed by the paparazzi, and sign commercial deals for bottled water or perfumes or credit cards. Best case scenario, I’m starter marriage material.”
Jessica paused, tipping her head back slightly and staring off to the side as she tried to find her next words. After a few moments, she spoke again.
“Sacha Baron Cohen and Ilsa Fisher.”
“What?”
“Look, I don’t like you talking about yourself like you don’t deserve me. We are equals here in every way. But since you are determined to see us as uneven, I figured I’d find an example of a couple that apparently works in spite of not seeming to match on paper. Hence, Sacha Baron Cohen and Ilsa Fisher.”
“Yeah, and the world doesn’t get why they’re together either.”
“Then the world doesn’t know what it’s missing, with them or with us. Because I get to be with someone who is funny and sweet and caring. You make me smile and laugh and be myself, not this polished version of myself I have to present to the rest of the world. I’m happy with you. Just you, Seth. And I don’t think sleeping with anyone else would make me any happier than I am now.”
Seth didn’t quite know how to respond to that, dropping his gaze down to his lap. He didn’t know how he found someone that saw him that way, far better than he saw himself. He was staring at his hands, processing her words and her utter faith in them, when two smaller hands came into view, grabbing both of his. His eyes automatically focused on the dark pearl sitting on her left hand.
“Seth, look at me.” He turned to face her on the couch as she kept talking. “I know you aren’t the most confident guy out there, but next time you have insecurities, can you promise me you’ll come to me to talk about them instead of trying to solve a problem you just created in your mind?”
Seth nodded, moving his hands to twine their fingers together, “Yeah, I think I can manage that.”
“Good, because I’ve been pretty anxious about this whole open marriage suggestion for days now.”
Seth squinted before the implications of her words fully hit him. “Wait, you thought I was trying to sleep with someone else while I was at one of my shows?”
“How else could I have taken your suggestion? I couldn’t think of anything else that would motivate you asking me that.”
Seth knew it was the wrong thing to do, but he couldn’t help it - he burst out laughing. The whole thing sounded so ridiculous coming from her, that there was some universe where he was picking up people at comedy clubs instead of just missing his insanely hot girlfr- no, fiancée - while he was away.
“Iowa, you’re telling me that instead of thinking that suggestion came from Seth ‘my insecurities have insecurities’ Levine, you jumped to the oh so logical conclusion that I suddenly developed such great game that I was looking for some strange at a comedy club and not, you know, heading back to my hotel to sleep and watch B movies like the boring old man I am?”
She rolled her eyes but couldn’t quite hold back a smile. “You’re not the only one with insecurities, you know.”
She was right, of course. But it was easy to forget that she had been an awkward theater nerd with only one friend before she arrived in LA and took the world by storm. Seth knew he was guilty of thinking that she must be insanely confident because of how quickly she’d skyrocketed to superstar levels of fame. But that wasn’t how insecurity worked, not at all. “I’m sorry, Iowa. I would have never thrown that idea out there if I knew it would make you worry.”
She nodded before pulling her hands from his, swinging her leg over his lap and straddling him before he could even make a comment. “And how are you going to make it up to me?” she quipped, raising one eyebrow, but smiling playfully.
“Not sure, but you sitting like this is giving me a few ideas…”
She laughed before she leaned in to kiss him, winding her arms around his shoulders. As Seth felt himself falling further into the moment with her, he couldn’t help but think he would have to be a complete idiot to doubt what they had. Because this, right here, right now? Well sharing that with her would always be more than enough for him.
You was backstage at Wrestlemania with Seth, you sat in the back with Renee as she keep rubbing your belly. “You know Y/n I can’t wait for my god babies.” As she jump little. You laugh as you drank your jug of water. “Oh my god Reni you have no idea how badly I want this two little ones out!” You both laugh as Renee look over at Dean. “Hey babe what do you think?” He shook his head, “as long as one of them have my name I’m fine.” He said with a smile. “OK then.” You said.
The match for Seth vs Brock was the first match, which was a shock for everyone. You watch the match as you saw Seth being thrown around in the ring as you watch in horror. “Come on babe!” You said yelling at the tv, then you saw how Seth got the upper hand with a low blow making your clap your hands together. Then three curb stomps in and you saw how Seth won the match making you cheer for joy. “My baby did it yes!” You got up as you walk out the locker room.
You walk up to find Seth hold his title that you called fruit roll up. You walk up to Seth as he look at grabbing you. “Give me some love baby girl.” You laugh as you kiss Seth on the lips. After his match you was with Seth for his photo shot with his new title in hand. “I can’t believe it he has the title now I can see the new title replica on his wall real soon.” You said giggling to yourself. You sat in the Seth’s locker room as you start to help him pack up some of his things. “Hey babe I’ll be right back ok?” You smiled at Seth as you nodded your head giving him a sweet kiss on the lips.
You watch Seth leave the room as you sat down on the couch waiting for him. You look at your phone just to see ten minutes past and was hoping that Seth was ok. Then you look back to see Seth walk right in. “What happened Seth?” He smiled at you as he pulled you into a hug. “Nah I just need to take care of something before we leave.” You nodded your head as you pick up your bag just to exit the locker room.
You made it back home while Seth had to stay for the next night. You laid in bed as you watch raw rubbing your belly with a smile on your face. Then you hear your phone ring as you look to see a number that you don’t know, so you just left it for voice mail. You look back at the tv as you watch Seth gets ready for his match then your phone made a chirp noise to let you know that a voice message was left for you. After the show was over you check to see what it was. “Hello there Miss, Y/L/N this your father trying to call you, but I guess your not gonna answer me because I uh….mess up pretty bad, hey listen to me ok I’m out only for probation you know. I just want to see your face again before I go back in I have only 48hrs of freedom so lets meet up at the new coffee shop that open ok love ya.” The massage end as you sat up in bed looking at the wall. “Dad?”
The next day you want to work telling Seth and Josh about your father coming here. “Are you sure you don’t want me to kick his ass babe?” Seth said as he was standing behind you with his arms wrap around you and your large belly. “No babe it’s fine I mean your going to be at the other table so…” Josh laugh, “just in case you may never know.” You look at Josh then shook your head. “You guys can sit in the back or something I just have a lot to get off my chest with him.” You said looking back at Seth.
You sat at the table looking around the place seeing Dixie on your right then right behind you was Seth and Josh right behind the counter as all three watch. You look at the time on your phone then you look up to see a tall man wearing a suit walk right in the shop. “Dad.” You said, Your father Bryan had a smile on his face as he walk up to you giving you a hug. “Y/n look at you...your pregnant. I’m going to be a grandfather?” You heard Seth scuff as you tried not to giggle. Your father sat down across from you with a smile. “Well dad yes I’m having twins a boy and a girl really.” You said looking down, “Look at you the last time I saw you, you was working with me and your mother…” “Right before you got arrested right dad?” He nodded his head as he knew you was never going to give that up.
You look over at Josh as he gave your father a cup of coffee and you water. “Uh really? Water?” Josh laugh as he wink at you. “Not my call.” You wanted to look back at Seth and hit him, but you couldn’t so you just smiled. “So I see your doing great from the last time I saw you.” You nodded, “Yeah dad I am I work here in this shop.” He look around then back at you, “Really? Well I thought you would have done better then this place.” You heard Seth clearing his throat from what your father said. “Uh dad I really like it here, I get to have vacation, I can have health coverage you know all those good things.” Bryan nodded his head again as he look at you. “Well I mean whatever makes you happy then i’m happy too.” You smiled as you drank your water. “Well I went to see you mother today I see you change the flowers.” You nodded as you started to hold back some tears. Josh nodded his head to Seth as while Dixie gave him the sign by lifting up a napkin. Seth sat up ready for anything.
“Yeah I know dad I change those flowers every week, even if it’s raining I do it.” Bryan took your hand and squeeze it. “I miss your mom I wish I could have done something better.” You look up at him, “By not committing fraud?” He sigh as he sat back, “Look I know what I did was bad..” It was evil dad.” You told him. “I know I get it and I’m paying for it big time, but I was doing it to make sure your and mother where safe.” You scuff as you rolled your eyes. “To make sure we were safe, dad me and mom had to move from the house we lived in to a trailer home. Then mom got sick and died, and this was right after you was in jail for 3 years.” You said sitting back, felt Seth’s hands on your lower back. You knew he was trying to calm you down and he was trying not to get mad.
“Look Y/n I know I get your mad at me, but everything will change you’ll see. I’m almost done with my time you and me will be back together and my grandkids will be with me.” Seth scuff at his words. “I’m sorry who is he?” You look back at Seth then back at your father. “Dad this man right here Seth.” Bryan’s memory came back to him as he got a good look at him. “Oh yes Seth the one who always pick on you with his buddies. How have you been young man.” You look at him. “Dad Seth is my boss.” Bryan look at you, “This man owns this shop and his your boss Y/n come on you could have done better than that.” Seth move his chair right next to you. “Well if you didn’t steal money like the evil Grinch that you are then maybe just maybe ‘dad’ she would have still been in your office.” Seth told Bryan. “Dad Seth’s right about it, his right about everything.”
Bryan look down then back at you, “I know, but at the end here I am seeing you for the first time in about Six years. I see you have change and you did dame good for yourself, I’m proud of you Y/n I wish your mom was here as well.” You nodded your head as you look over at Seth with a smile. “I know for a fact whoever the father of your babies are he has my blessing to marry you.” You smiled as you look over at Seth, “Oh no…” You back at your father, “Seth is the one?” You nodded your head. “Yeah old man it was me.” Bryan was mad, “I see you never had a clean sweep of relationship from your past how the hell did you end up with my daughter?” You look over at Seth hoping he didn’t get mad, “Nah I card about her I even loved her, but I was with a group of guys who didn’t show care in the world. I know what I did to her was wrong, I know that, but unlike you I made up for it. It made had taken years later for it, but I did it.” Seth said looking at your father straight.
Bryan nodded his head as he look at you, “I see so when are you both are getting married?” You look at your dad in shock, “Well dad since that was going to be a surprise for her, but I see someone want to know when, soon right now…” Seth pulled out a small black box from his pocket making you gasp. Seth open the box to show a small diamond ring as he pulled it then Seth look at you with a smile. “Y/n I know there were some things that got in the way in our past, but now that I got the girl that I want which is you, please just say that one word to make me happy. Y/n will you be my wife?” You nodded your head as yelled out the words over and over “Yes Seth yes I will!” You smiled as you both kiss each other. Your father Bryan had a smile on his face. “If only your mom was here, she would have loved it.” Bryan said, Dixie and Josh both walk up to the both of you as Seth slept the ring on your finger.
Later on that night you and Seth told everyone the great news, Renee being the crazy happy for the both of you. You enjoyed the long talk you had with Renee about everything that happened, with you and dad and how your father was. You both made a plan to meet up the next day just so you both can do some baby shopping.
The night came as you and Seth laid in bed together. At first you though it was nothing maybe you peed a little on yourself which it happens, but then it just felt odd you turn on your lap on the side of your bed as you pulled the sheets off of you. Then you saw it blood right threw your shorts. You look over to Seth just to see him sleeping. You was to scared to wake him so you slowly got out of bed then you felt it, hitting you hard. “Ahhh….Seth please wake up!” Seth sat up in bed as he look at you. “Babe what’s wrong?….” He saw the blood on the bed Seth panic as he got out of bed. “It’s ok baby it’s ok I’m going to get you to the hospital and fast.” Seth said as he grab a shirt and some sweatpants putting them on. You was sitting up in bed crying out in pain. “Oh god Seth the babies please I hope nothing bad is happening to them!” You heard a small bark coming from the outside of your bedroom. “Kevin relax boy we're leaving now.”  Seth grab a black bag already pack with baby clothes then he grab you as you both walk out the room then straight to his car and off to the hospital.
Draft day (Chapter 1)
Crystal pov
" Come on Crystal it's draft day your going to be drafted for sure I mean you held the nxt title for basically a year you where unstoppable " Bayley said jumping up and down pulling me inside the performance center.
Bayleys been my best friend sense I've been in developmental, we where pretty close. It was funny in my opinion becasue to most people they see her as the happy and joyful one then they see me and I'm well I'm me.. not as joyful but to her I'm doing my best okay? She always tells me that I look tough i guess thats my resting bitch face acting up. But what's hard is getting me to open up, i have trust issuse after all the stuff ive been through in my life.
"Yea I was champ in tell you beat me" I said walking inside with her as she held on to my arm making sure i didn't walk away from her.
" Hey we agreed that wasn't personal, and beside we hugged after. Keep making stuff up ,but your going to be on the biggest stage there is :and I'll be your biggest fan " Bayley said as we walked to where there was a bunch of seats and the whole nxt locker room was out there sitting down as Monday Night Raw started.
"Carmella tell Crystal she'll be drafted tonight. Or im just gonna go crazy. "Bayley said as we sat down next to Carmella.
"Oh my god you are most definitely being drafted that's not even a question girl. How could raw or Smackdown not invest in the longest reigning NXT womens champion. Its stupid if I say if they dont." Carmella said I nodded my head cracking a small smile at Bayley and Carmella. As I took a deep breath and watched the tv screen.
" I'm so nervous" I mumbled
"Don't be, hey Finn!" Bayley said as Finn Bálor aproched us well Bayley's friend. I've never talked to Finn really. Seen him a bunch of times. How could i not have seen him. Have you seen that mans body?!
"Hello ladies. Ready for the draft?" Finn asked looking at Bayley and glancing at me every now and then smiling polity.
"Hell Yea I can't wait to see this one get drafted after me telling her 100 times already today that she well. And your going to be drafted too leaving me friends less.."Bayley said putting her arm around my neck pulling me close to her as she frowns at her disapproval of being along.
"Love you to Bayley ,but by any chance can you let go of me ?" I asked and I hread a light laugh coming from Finn
"Nah Crystal has a better change then I do" Finn said making me blush at the fact he knew my name.
" Don't say that your going to be the first to go for sure! Who wouldnt want the demon on their team" Bayley said letting her grip on me go. She hit Finn on the arm with him moving back a little protending to be hit hard.
"Haha! Ok well I'm going to sit down have a good time ladies!" Finn said looking over at me smiling. I still had a pinkish color to my cheeks .
"Awe your blushing!! Wait.... do you like Finn?!" Bayley whispered to me.
"Well I can't say I don't find him attractive ,but I don't know about like... you know me and guys.. it just seems to never work.. and besides I don't think I can do it... you know what happend to me" I said bring my hand to my mouth bitting my nails like I always do when i dont know what to say.
"Yea... but Finns different he's the digest dork " Bayley said laughing a little
"I don't know Bay..." I said calling her by her nickname I call her
"Ok. I won't push it ,but if he asks you on a date I swear to god I'll beat the living shit out of you if you say no to him. Hes so a sweet man he needs a chance" Bayley said glancing at me with daggers in her eyes.
"If... key word if" I said rolling my eyes with a slight smile on my face.
"Hey-" Bayley began but I got her off right away.
"Shh it's starting " I said making her stop and we watched as Seth Rollins got drafted to Raw then Dean Amdrose to Smackdown and so forth
"with an eye for the future or next pick comes from NXT " Mick Foley began ,and Bayley was jumping out of her seat excided to learn who it was.
"Finn Bálor" Mick said loudly.
" I knew it !" Bayley said smiling and hugging Finn. He was sitting behind us so I turned around to say my thoughts.
"Congratulations Finn " I said to him smiling.
" Thank you " Finn said smiling and taking a raw shirt that was handed him. We quieted down as Smackdown picked there person again
"Me and Mick both said that our goal was to have a strong woman divison so our next pick comes from nxt too ,and she is the two time nxt women's champion and the longest reigning nxt champion, the most badass bitch in locker room Crystal! " Stephanie said and I sat there shocked as Bayley jumped up bouncing up and down so I stood up hugging her back as i cryed happy tears.
The roster was clapping as Bayley let go of me and of course I was blushing as I got handed a Raw T-shirt.
" Can we get a picture of you and Finn Bálor sense you two where both the frist nxt superstars to be drafted to raw?" A camera person asked pulling us to the side for the photos.
"Uh.. Yea of course" I said hugging Bayley one last time walking acroos the row to get to finn for the picture
"Be nice ok " Bayley calls out giggling.
"Yea yeah " I said putting the t-shirt on moving my hair ,and fixing it a little getting into the ring with Finn standing in the middle with Finn.
"Hey I didn't really ever get to meet you before. I've seen you around and well I'm Finn Bálor " Finn said sticking out his hand for me to shack with I gladly shook
"Crystal. Crystal Foster " I said shacking his hand.
"Nice to properly meet you. " Finn said smiling at me and I gave him a small smile.
" Ok we just want a picture of the two of you i dont really care what pose " the lady said holding up a phone for a picture.
"Just this then" Finn said putting his arm around my shoulder as i put mine around his torso. We smiled the picture was to taken. I got out of the ring going back to Bayley who was smiling at me.
"What?" I asked looking down at my red shirt
"you like him..." she said with that kids like smile on her face.
"Shut up do not!" I said glaring at her as Smakdown picked Alexa Bliss then Raw went back and forth intell we all knew who was going to at Raw and Smakdowns show.
I was a nervous werk. I mean like who dosnt stop and stare when Finn Bálor walks by hes well a very beaftuil man and i got to say i still look at him every now and again.
"Okay people don't get confused we still have a show tommarow night! So go get back to your guys hotel rest. Lets get ready for takeover ,and lets just all give the people who got drafted today a big huge round of Applause. Ill miss you guys and the NXT superstars and universe well sure miss you too" Matt said starting to clapping i smiling waving at everyone clapping as well for the other people who got drafted.
'I cant believe your leaving me " Bayley said frowning ,but hugs me holding me tightly.
"Just means you have to get on my leavl again. Plus, im hungry lets go get somethibg to eat before we head back to the hot to crash" i say smiling
"I have an idea. Lets invite everyone who got drafed to a dinner tonight.. Like we use to do when it was late after a show. Just hit up a diner and have no last dinner. Itllbe a goodbye dinner!" Bayley said smiling with enjoyment.
"Yeah sounds good ill go talk to the girls then you can go ask the guys sense you have better moves then i do" I told her as we go our separate ways
"So like olds time right ?" Nia askes smiling when i got over to the group. Well my close net group was pretty much Bayley and Sasha. With Carmella, Nia and Alexa being a very close friends too
"Yes exactly so im here asking you guys if you would come as i dont ask a lot of you ,but god it would be nice to have like a far well dinner before i have to beat you back up" i said laughing at my joke looking at my friend group that i love dearly.
Nia and Alixa look at each then back at me " We're in meet you guys there" Nia said smiling as her and Alixa make there way outside.  I already talked to Carmella and let me just say i don't know who was happier her getting invited or Bayley coming up with the idea.
"So like old times then? " Sasha asks wrapping her arm around my neck as we meet back up with Bayley.
"So all the guys well be there and Finn" Bayley said nagging me with her eldow expecting to get a reaction out of me.
"Oooo she like Finn?!" Sasha asks smiling glancing at me. "Why didnt you tell me?" Sasha asked shooked.
"Well bayley pryde it out of me not like I was expecting to tell her" I say bitting my nails like I always do.
"Okay okay i dont agree with that! It was writen all over your face that you liked Finn" Bayley says as we all headed to the car to meet up for dinner with everyone.
Territorial, chapter 1
Word Count: 2077 Rating: This chapter: PG; overall story rating: Explicit Warnings: kissing Summary: After finally realizing their shared love for one another, all internetainers Rhett and Link had to do was live happily ever after. Unfortunately, as it turns out, that's a lot harder to do in a world of werewolves.
Tumblr media
Notes: Takes place 1 year after Animalistic began. Still no wives; Rhett and Link are in an established relationship. This is a sequel to that fic. You don't have to read that first, but it is highly recommended. (Photo source X)
The ten acre plot of land used to be a horse farm. Stables and a large barn still stood on the premises, though they both looked like the next wind could knock them both right over. The short, wooden fence that lined the property was in a similar condition, but at least it still marked the border alright. It had to be replaced, especially if was going to keep people away from a couple of werewolves roaming around thirty-six nights out of the year.
“Maybe we should add barb wire,” Link suggested, wiping sweat from his forehead. It wasn't a particularly hot summer day, but he and Rhett had been hard at work all morning putting up a chain link fence.
“We don't want anybody hurting themselves on this fence,” Rhett told him, choosing to ignore his companion’s mispronunciation of barbed wire. “We just want them to know this is private property.” He checked the time on his phone. “What do you say we break for lunch? I think we got a lot of fence up so far today.”
They had purchased this land a few weeks ago and together with their friend, Theo, they had been busy fixing it up. That is, making sure it was secure. It didn't need to look pretty, it just had to be private and undisturbed. It was in the middle of nowhere, California. Away from prying eyes and electronic surveillance. There wasn't another home for miles. It was as good a place as any for them to spend time in wolf form.
Rhett had been a werewolf for many months now; Link only a few. They both had been learning what it meant and how to survive their new double life from Theo. The bushy-haired bartender who had, in contrast, been a werewolf for years was more than willing to help out the newly bitten. It wasn't all for kindness, however, but necessity. Werewolves couldn't be left to their own devices, unchecked, uneducated. Rogue werewolves not only could kill innocent humans, they would reveal the existence of werewolves around the world and that could lead to wolf hunts, or worse.
Even though Theo wasn't being exactly charitable with his actions, Rhett wholeheartedly agreed with his reasons. The existence of werewolves needed to be kept a secret, for everyone's sake. Of course, that didn't mean they couldn't have a life. He and Link kept up with their normal day things: filming for their YouTube channels, running a business, having a social life. As far as they could tell, no one at mythical internetainment knew that their bosses weren't entirely human. They may have picked up on their employers’ other secret, though.
“I am hungry,” Link noted, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend. “But not just for food.” Rhett raised a single eyebrow as he smirked, knowingly.
“Yeah?” He put his arms around the shorter man. “What are you hungry for?”
“You look tasty,” he replied, coyly.
“Oh I am, babe.” Link stuck his tongue out with an audible mocking sound before pulling the man’s head down to lick his nose. Rhett giggled. “See?”
“Not bad.” The brunet gave another, brief lick before locking their lips. Rhett did taste good, even though he was just as sweaty as Link. It didn't matter. He felt amazing too; his lips soft and tender nestled in a thick, dirty blond beard. Link knew he would never tire of the sensation, or the many others they could experience when they were alone. Sometimes he wished the two of them had realized their shared affection for one another much earlier. He thought about the wasted years not knowing they were both in love. Those times he would vow to himself not to waste the time they now had, the years ahead of them they could now spend together. “I love you,” he muttered, moving away just enough to speak.
“I love you too, Link.” Rhett leaned his sweaty forehead against Link’s, closing his eyes. After a moment, he sighed contently then pulled away and looked down into Link’s face. “Can we eat now?”
“Fiiine.” Link rolled his eyes, but never dropped his smile. He wasn't mad, not really. He was hungry too, when he thought about it. Besides, he knew his boyfriend all too well. When Rhett said he was hungry, he meant it. The man had been often hungry before becoming a werewolf. Now, as the full moon grew closer, his appetites were almost insatiable. All of them. Not that Link complained, mind you. He definitely enjoyed satiating those appetites whenever he could. After all, he felt exactly the same way. Especially right before they turned.
Packing up the leftover nails and bits for the fence into the trailer of their ATV, they got on with Rhett behind Link, and drove off towards the main building. An old farmhouse, the building was actually in remarkable condition considering the rest of the buildings’ state. It was a classic, three story with a wrap-around porch and a sloped roof. It used to be yellow from what they could tell of the faded paint, but Theo and his friend Max were busy giving it a fresh coat of blue to spruce it up. It was coming along nicely.
Link gave the two men a friendly wave as he and Rhett got closer. Rhett just nodded, not wanting to let go of Link’s waist, lest he fall. They pulled up just to the front door and Theo put down his brush, wiping his hands as he came down to greet them. Max was close behind. The muscular man with a perfectly shaved head wasn't just a friend. He worked as Theo’s bouncer in the bar he ran downtown. He was also the Theo’s ‘handler’ meaning he watched him during his moons to make sure he was safe and kept out of trouble. Unlike the other three men here, he wasn't a werewolf, but he was a rare breed. He was the only human Theo trusted and so Rhett and Link trusted him as well.
“How'd it go?” he asked, casually. Rhett hopped off the four-wheeler and gestured towards the trailer, and the rolled up fence inside.
“I think we're almost done. Just a few more hundred feet.” Theo nodded.
“It won't exactly be Fort Knox,” he noted, coming down to join them. “But it should keep out the unwary hiker.” He nodded towards the house. “I got some t-bone’s in the cooler I can grill up. You boys hungry at all?”
“I could eat a horse,” Link joked, sparing a glance towards Rhett. The taller man pretended not to notice but nodded enthusiastically in agreement. Theo chuckled.
“Well let's get you full of cow so you won't have to.” The four of them started making their way inside when three of them suddenly stopped and turned. Even though they weren't in wolf form, their senses were more acute than their unbitten friend. They looked at each other for answers, but no one was expecting anyone else to show up to the farm today. Max eventually heard the noise they were so interested in as well. A large, red truck was coming down the dusty road towards the house. It had a California license plate, but they didn't recognize it. It pulled to a stop just beside the ATV.
Three men got out, all dressed in t-shirts and work jeans. The tallest, a beefy man with a crew cut, looked so cocky Rhett instantly disliked him. The two shorter men had similar expressions as they looked over the farm house with discerning eyes. Obviously from their faces none of them thought much of the place.
“Nice little place you got here,” the tallest stranger began. “So this is where you've been hiding out, Theo.”
“Hello, Seth,” Theo greeted unenthusiastically. “Didn't know you and the boys were in town.”
“Well we've been hearing some very disturbing news from the area and we thought we'd check it out personally.” He looked over at Rhett and Link with more scrutiny than was comfortable. “They the new guys?”
“Rhett, Link, this is Seth, Damian and Caleb Lowell. Their pack roams the woods up north; mostly in Oregon and southern Washington.”
“Pack?” Link asked.
“Wolf pack, buddy,” Caleb clarified. “Has Theo not been teaching you the basics?”
“If you're talking about the rogue mutt down in Los Padres,” Theo explained. “I took care of it.” His faux demure smile faded completely as he remembered that night. With Rhett’s help, Theo had tracked down a werewolf that had been killing hikers in the national forest. That night Rhett was forced to take a life to protect Link. He had saved his best friend and lover, but had failed to keep him from being infected. It was not a night any of them liked to think about.
“Well that's a relief,” Seth grinned, seemingly unaware of the other group’s discomfort. “We were worried something might have happened, like people getting killed or turned.” He turned his eyes pointedly at Rhett and Link. Maybe it was because he was feeling defensive, or these guys were seriously rubbing him the wrong way, but Link felt the need to stick up for his relatively new friend.
“It wasn't his fault. It's not like he’s in charge of every rogue werewolf that goes nuts in California. That’s not his job.” Link glanced up at Rhett. “Is it?” Seth turned to look at him, his expression a bit blank as he sized him up.
“What's your name again?”
“Link.”
“You're right, Link. It's not his job. Nor do we think what happened was his fault. In fact I feel somewhat responsible myself,” he continued, not losing his smile. “I didn't think there were enough mutts around here to present a serious problem but I guess I was wrong. I'm here to rectify that error.”
“How so?” Rhett asked.
“They're here to check up on me,” Theo grumbled. Seth looked hurt, but both Rhett and Link could tell it wasn't quite sincere.
“We're not here to run your life, Theo. Devon was worried so he sent us to help.”
“I don't need your help,” the bartender argued. “There was a problem, but I handled it. It's taken care of.”
“I'm not saying we're not grateful you were able to deal with the mutt, but it's just a symptom of a much bigger problem. Without a pack presence in southern California, rogue mutts are bound to happen again and we don’t want you to have to deal with all of them yourself.” Seth glanced to the two men with him, silently telling them it was time to leave. They started making their way back into the truck. “We’ll be in town for awhile; were staying on up on Big Bear Lake. It was nice seeing you again, Theo.” As he got back into the truck, Caleb sent a grin at the bartender, with a side glance at Rhett and Link.
“Give us a call if you want to spend your next moon with some real wolves for a change,” he offered. “It’ll be just like old times.”
“Bye, Caleb.” Theo gave a short wave as the Lowells’ truck started up. As soon it was out of sight, he sighed and shot a knowing look towards Max. “Fantastic,” he mumbled.
“So, what was that all about?” Link asked. Theo shook his head stepping back into the house without a word. Still confused, Link turned to Max.
“The Lowells are a big family of purebreds from up North,” Max explained. “Theo used to run with them years ago but he moved to Los Angeles to get away from them after….”
“After what?”
“After Theo’s brother died. It's not really my place to talk about it. Let's just say he's not a fan of the pack.” Rhett looked back at the distance road the truck had left on before speaking up.
“Should we be worried?” Rhett wondered. Max sighed.
“I sure hope not. Just… Just steer clear of them. Hopefully they won't be in town very long. Stuck up purebred assholes.” He headed into the house himself, leaving Rhett and Link alone on the porch.
“Why do I feel like I just got involved with a family squabble?” Link murmured.
“That was a bit dramatic.” Rhett patted his boyfriend on the shoulder. “Come on. Let’s go eat. I’m sure these guys won’t be causing us much trouble.”
EDIT: A huge thank you to my beta Allyssa (phan-of-the_pen) for putting up with my sloppy messy writing and helping me turn it into something readable!
The train slowed to a stop as it rolled into Piccadilly station. Dan couldn't believe that the day was finally here. After months of talking over Skype he was finally going to be meeting the amazingphil. Dan's hand shook as he picked up his backpack and threw it over his shoulder. He had almost not come today because he was scared Phil was just playing a huge joke on him and really wasn't going to meet him. Of course, he had not voiced these fears to Phil when they had talked on the phone until 3 AM last night.  His whole body shook with fear and excitement as he exited the train and stepped onto the platform. His scanned his eyes through the crowd, hoping to spot the raven-haired boy. His breathing sped up and his breath caught in his throat as his chocolate brown eyes found a familiar pair of blue ones that he had grown to love over the last few months. Phil hadn't spotted him yet, but that didn't stop Dan, who took off towards him, pushing through the crowd of people. The moment Phil spotted him his smile grew huge. Dan couldn't believe he was finally here, couldn't believe that Phil was actually here. Phil looked even more beautiful in person than he did over his shitty webcam. Dan's heart raced in his chest as he got closer and closer. Dan let out a breath as Phil pulled him in for a bone-crushing hug. "I can't believe you're finally here!" "Sorry I was a bit late, the train was running behind schedule." Dan breathed into Phil's shoulder. "It's ok, you're here now and that is all that matters." Phil pulled away to look at him and his smile grew wider as his eyes found Dan's. "So, you ready to go?" Phil rocked back and forth and rubbed his neck awkwardly. "Y-y-Yeah." He stuttered. He smiled at Phil and bumped his shoulder into his as the started to walk. "I'm really glad I'm here." He said smiling at Phil. "Me too," Phil said with a huge grin breaking out on his face.
~~~~~~~~~~
Dan was once again pinned to the dirty floor, one of the men was on top of him and the other in the corner, watching. He doesn't know when he had stopped fighting, but he knows he must have been out of it for a few days. He had woke up on that blasted metal table again, and he knew he must have been in little space for at least a few days. There were an array of new bruises scattered on his body that hadn't been there before, and he noticed he had lost a little weight, so he must have been out of it for at least three or four days. He figures little Dan had stopped fighting as well because the men didn't seem to notice the change in him. They had drug him straight from the room with the metal table back to his cell, not even giving him time to recover before they were on top of him, assaulting him again. He heard a grunt from above him signifying that the men were finished. He pulled out and gave Dan's ass a smack and both of them were gone. He has no idea how many times he had been assaulted over the last few days but it must be a lot because of the dried blood all over his legs. He was in pain all over the place, but it was especially bad in his rear. There was also an acute pain in his chest, so he must have developed a bad cold since he had been kidnapped. Dane let out a low, hard cough. He curled himself into a ball and hoped to catch a few hours of sleep before the men came back.
He jolted awake as the sound of the door being unlock rang through the room. He didn't know how long he was asleep, but by the way he was still exhausted it couldn't have been very long. He sat up and the door opened to reveal the men, but this time they were lugging in what he suspected was another bucket of water judging from the sloshing sound coming from it as it was dropped to the floor.
"We're going to try something a little different, princess."  The look In Seth's eyes was so dark and evil Dan's body shivered in fear. He had given up long ago trying, so he didn't even resist as Roger dragged him over to the bucket of water. "Look, Seth, the little slut is so broken. If his daddy didn't want him before then he surely won't want him now." "So pathetic. Such a worthless, little slut, isn't he?" Roger hummed in agreement.
Dan had no doubt that what they were saying was true—f Phil didn't want him before he definitely wouldn't want him now. He was spoiled goods, worthless and unlovable. He squeezed his eyes shut just in time to feel a hand grip the back of his head and push him down into the bucket. If his lungs hadn't been on fire before, they were now. He couldn't breathe, his survival instincts kicking in and he started to struggle, trying to pull his head to the surface to get some air, but with no avail, he was just pushed deeper into the bucket. He knew this was the end as his vision started to go black, but before he had fully slipped out of consciousness he was pulled to the surface. He had just enough time to gulp in a huge lungful of air before he was being pushed back under. This happened several more times before he was thrown, spitting and sputtering back onto the mattress. "Get some rest, princess, there will be more of that later," Seth said as he flashed an evil grin Dan's way. Both men exited the room, but before they slammed the door shut the man Roger gave him a creepy wink. Once the men were gone Dan all but collapsed onto the mattress with the nightmares pulling him under.
 ************ "Mr. Lester..." "Call me Phil." "Alright. Phil, we believe this is the man who abducted Dan." Officer Temple pointed to a grainy looking picture. "How do you know?" "Someone who saw the abduction happen from the park finally came forward and identified this man." "What do you know about him?" Phil asked still looking at the photo.
"His name is Seth Conray. He has a record of domestic abuse against his girlfriend and has several charges of sexual assault." Phil couldn't believe how was this monster allowed to roam the street freely. When he voiced this to Officer Temple, the man just gave Phil a sympathetic look.  "The last woman who accused him of sexual assault pulled out of testifying at the last minute and the case was thrown out due to the lack of her testimony." Phil clenched his fist. He was by no means a violent person, but he was trying really hard not to hit something right now because getting thrown in a cell wouldn't help Dan right now. "Mr. Conray inherited a cabin last year from his grandfather who passed away, and we suspect that is where he may have taken Dan." "Well Let's go then!" Phil exclaimed as he reached for his coat.
"Hold on, We need to wait for the officers that have been dispatched to get back with us." "Are you fucking kidding me!" He finally exploded. "My boyfriend has been missing for a week now and you tell me you know who took him and you want me to wait? This is ridiculous!" His chest was heaving now. Officer Temple looked at him, clearly startled by his outburst. "Listen, I need to find him, I need to see him. I love him." Phil whispered as he closed his eyes.
The whole police station seemed to be quiet.  "Listen, the most I can do for you is drive you out there. It'll be against the books, but I'm willing to take the fall for it." He put his hand on Phil's shoulder. Phil opened his eyes slowly. The Officer was looking at him with pity, but he didn't care. All he cared about was saving Dan. So he nodded his head and followed Officer Temple out of the Police station. I'm coming, Dan, he thought, just hold on a little bit longer.

February 8th 2021
It might just be the time of year, but I find myself getting discouraged easily. It’s compounded by the fact that we’re coming up on a year since my job sent me home and everything that’s happened since then. The simple fact of the matter is I’m not where I want to be at almost any category of life you care to name. I’m currently making about half of what I was pre-May 2020, I’m struggling with staying in a creative mindset, I’m not necessarily hopeful that I will be able to realize a key hope of mine to regain the position I was previously in, and I’m not finding anything equivalent out there that I can do despite the experience. It leaves me in a pretty depressing place, and I’m not sure what my next move is. So when this happens, I try to move out of the mindset of what I can’t do to figure out what I can accomplish. I believe it starts with talking about the things I am passionate about. Demonstrating some knowledge. Possibly not being so unassuming about it?
A lot of the past year had to do with how my friends stayed creative and productive during the pandemic, and now I may be best served by turning this camera inward. Let’s see what happens.
After I wrote the above, I fired up my Feedly reader, and Seth Godin’s post today is very timely indeed.
So, let’s consult the imp in the back of my head that wants to know what the bleep I’m going to do to turn YET into DONE. I think first we have to define what DONE is, and I’m finding that a little hard to do at the moment. It’s a Jackson Pollack splatter of thought about what I don’t want to be doing anymore, and very little thought about what it is I would rather be doing, and whether I can do it for a living. Nothing new here, this has pretty much been the case for a few years now. I need to put these thoughts together. I don’t want to take phone calls anymore. I do want a job in a creative field. I want what I create to be able to help people. I want to be able to live comfortably on the fruits of that effort, which means not only the bills are paid, but that the wife and I are not worried about health insurance, and that the kids are taken care of.
So, maybe that’s what done is. If that’s true, then the next question—my favorite—is ‘What’s Next?”. What I’m about to write is the first time I’ve ever written this answer: I don’t know. I don’t know what the first step is, and if I don’t know what the first step is, I can’t figure the next one. Marie Forleo likes to say “Everything is Figureoutable”. I sure hope so, because being stuck in this place is a goddamn exhausting place to be.
Of course, as I said at the beginning, it could just be that it’s January and it’s cold, and that I hate everything right now. It feels like more than that, but maybe it always does and I’m not remembering it.
Oh, You Didn’t Know?
Joe Budden, who up until a few months ago had an exclusive deal with Spotify, is moving his podcast to Patreon. The Verge has some comments from Budden:
He says he proved the model, along with the potential of his audience, but didn’t want Spotify to use his fans and reach to prove the platform’s own worth and make money.
“For many years, the record labels and the system that I come from tricked us into thinking they were doing us a favor by capitalizing off our talent and basically loaning us money, and that’s been the standard the entire time,” Budden says, adding that he already knows how that system worked out for creators.
When Budden announced his split from the tech company, he said Spotify was “pillaging” his audience and only cared about how his show contributed to Spotify overall, not about his actual podcast.
Budden was a recording artist before he was a podcaster. If he’s aware that the record labels played games, I can’t believe he didn’t see the obvious. Streaming Services aren’t exactly known for treating artists differently, for a start, but let’s address what I think is the elephant in the room, which is the question of whether or not what you had was actually a podcast, because I think that question is fundamental to the problem Budden experienced. A podcast is not exclusive to a platform, and I’ll argue that point until I’m blue in the face. If I can’t subscribe to your show on a different platform than Spotify, then you don’t have a podcast, you have a show on Spotify. Spotify might have a big user base, but that user base is all you have. Spotify’s Q4 2020 earnings state that they have 345 million active monthly users, and that only 25 percent of those users listen to podcasts on the platform. That’s around 86.5 Million, and trust me, they’re not all listening to Joe Budden. Yes, he’s got a lot of downloads, but what he’s got on Spotify is all he’s going to get by staying there. Patreon is a huge and smart play, I wouldn’t be surprised if he goes 3x on listeners and money at the very least.
(Note to self, get back on Patreon, it’s about to blow up.)
The Clothes Suck Anyway
Ah, exposure. SO great for paying bills, only the complete opposite of paying bills.
One of my favorite Twitter accounts is @forexposure_txt, and they receive posts every day from creatives who receive requests, demands, and straight-up meltdowns from people who believe it’s ok not to pay a creative for their work. However, in some cases, there’s the odd post about a company that lifts a picture, alters it, and uses it on their social media without attribution. Take, for example, Meg of Margate, a photographer who discovered a fashion brand called Ted Baker (no link, I’m not enabling this behavior) lifted a photo, photoshopped it, and post it on their Instagram “for engagement”. When called on it, they offered Meg a 200 dollar gift card from their store, which she declined. They then stated they didn’t have the budget to pay photographers, so they deleted the image.
Fine, but let’s be clear about what really happened here. A fashion brand that declared revenue of 617 million pounds in 2019 used a picture that didn’t own to drive traffic to their brand. They got likes and engagement for hours on that post. Then they told the photographer, sorry we can’t afford it, and just deleted the post. Ted Baker made money off that stolen picture, and they probably will have no liability for screwing a creative because it costs money to take people to court.
If this doesn’t make you angry, it should.
This seems like a good place to link to one of my favorite talks by Mike Montiero, “Fuck You, Pay Me.”
More Instagram Stuff
Instagram is now conducting a test to remove the ability to share feed posts within Stories:
You would assume that a lot of Stories updates are re-shared feed posts. The fact that Instagram is willing to reduce this seems like a positive sign for its development focus - but it might also indicate that people are viewing Stories less as a result of such shares, which has prompted Instagram to take action.
I can tell you that many of my stories are photos from other accounts that I think are amazing, and I do that to encourage my followers to follow them. If you remove the ability for me to do that, then I have to resort to a third party program—Repost—to post them to my feed, and I don’t want to do that. My feed should be for my pictures. I hope what they’re driving at is removing the ability to share one’s own feed posts as Stories, and I would completely understand why they feel it’s redundant. That’s not how I read this story.
In other Instagram news, it looks like IG and Twitter might be burying the hatchet soon and allowing integrations again:
That's an even bigger integration. As noted by Jane Manchun Wong, Instagram hasn't provided direct Twitter integration since it disabled Twitter card preview support back in 2012, which makes it annoyingly difficult to share content between the two apps. Now, it seems they're mending bridges, which could facilitate not just tweets in Stories stickers, but wholly new integration options which would enable direct sharing of Instagram posts to Twitter as well, fully integrated and formatted in-line.
That's not part of this proposal, and it may not ever be. But it would definitely be handy - and with Twitter seemingly now more open to such, it could pave the way for improved connection.
If true, this would look a lot cleaner than the screenshots we’re all doing right now anyway. Honestly, this horse has been out of the barn so long it’s dying of exposure.

The Thirty and One Nights' Momentary Diversion - The Ghost in the Galway Arms
Fans of the book will welcome today's story, a quick bit of banter between some old friends.  The Galway, as before, is pretty chill, but ghosting on tabs or orders is still strictly over the line.
The Ghost in the Galway Arms
"See, that's where you went wrong, Lou," Greg said, leaning back, arms crossed, pint braced on his elbow.  "Everyone's already heard that 'I quit drinking' one; you shoulda hit her with Kevin's 'spit it out! Ya bastard! Spit it out!' – that one always gets them."
Lou shook his head. "No – I can't do that like Kevin does, not with the voices. It ain't fair – nobody's ever pulled a dude by having a sense of humor, and here I've got to go begging.  Such a waste, man."  Kevin, scrunched up under the TV on Greg's other side, kept on ignoring Lou in favor of the hurling scores in the back pages of the Emigrant.
"Also," Seth said over Lou's other shoulder, "you were in the Galway, here, and nobody can ever believe that somebody who comes in here can stop drinking.  Especially you, but in any case there would be narrative dissonance and it would not work."  He sipped his coffee, careful to keep his moustache out of it.
Lou shook his head again.  "Yeah right; it's a long time coming before I've got to blame 'narrative dissonance' for me getting the brush-off, instead of just 'me being me'.  Cooper, can I get another Stella?  As long as I'm gonna sit here and get mocked, I might as well have something to drink."
"Sure, Lou, sure; one second though."  Cooper was standing in the middle of the bar, his brow furrowed down with concern.  "Say, Lou, did you have a BLT with egg?  Is this your BLT?  Do you know who it goes to?"
Lou scratched the stubble at the bottom of his sideburns.  "I dunno – I've only had, like three, five pints, so I think I'd remember ordering food, and I don't think I did.  And I don't, like, normally order the BLT when I get food in here, usually I get the burger."
"Yeah, that's what I thought," Cooper said, putting the plate down on the far side of the taps to pull Lou's Stella.  "But it's got to go to somebody; Jarlan ran it out, and none of the servers took it, so it has to be someone on the bar, and I know that Kevin had his breakfast an hour ago and Greg doesn't do pork, so there aren't that many other options.  Seth, is it yours?  Did you order and I just forgot about it again?"  He set the beer down in front of Lou, looking up at Seth with genuine concern.
Seth shook his head.  "No, don't worry.  You are fine – I didn't order food, I just came in to pay my tab from last night."
"You paid your tab from last night," Cooper said, updating Lou's tab on the register, sneaking a glance at the BLT plate to make sure it was still in the same place.
"I paid my first tab from last night, with Seamus, and I'm pretty sure that I paid my second tab with your sister, but after that it gets a little hazy, and if I had a third tab I know I didn't pay that."  Seth took another sip of his coffee.
"I'll text Susan and make sure she got you, but I'm telling you, I don't have a tab open for you from last night.  Don't worry about it – I know you wouldn't just ghost on your tab, and I know Susan wouldn't let you leave if you still hadn't cashed out." Cooper opened up the Guinness tap to pour the two pints for Brenna's order.  "I just don't get it – who the heck ordered this BLT?"
Lou raised a hand.  "Coop, if you're just going to chuck it, I'll eat it for you; you don't need to worry about it going to waste." Greg popped him one on the back of the head.
"Thanks for the offer, but I gotta keep it up a while – it's not like it going cold's going to matter, and it's got to be somebody's. Who else was in?  All the United fans beat feet as soon as the last whistle went, so it was just, like, the four of you and those two tables all game for Tottenham."  Cooper looked around the bar, hands on hips.  "Seriously, wasn't there anyone else in?  Whose pint is that?  Seth, is that yours?"  He pointed at a stray Guinness, sitting black and stable with a small, sunken head on a coaster a few seats away from the four in the corner.
Seth shook his head.  "That's not mine; I've just been drinking coffee.  Like I said, I only came in to pay my tab today."
"Did Sai'id come in?  Did like Edward come in, order a beer off one of the new servers, and then ghost when Natalie came through?"
Greg shook his head.  "No, Ed just popped in during the second game to check the scores; and you know he takes it serious when he's not supposed to get served here.  Sai'id wasn't in today either – he's still mad about Joe throwing his friend out a few weeks back." He took a sip of his Guinness, thinking.  "You know who was in here, though – that older British guy, supports Tottenham; Willard, I think his name was.  I coulda sworn I saw him up on the bar this morning, almost right about there, probably for the game; I was mostly paying attention to the game and then these maniacs –" he gestured at the crew around him "– but I def thought that I saw him in."
"That's a good thought, Greg," Cooper said, spirits visibly lifted at the news that someone might have a lead on where the BLT went.  "I'll check and see if we got a tab for him – that's the rules, you have to have a tab if you're going to eat."  He slid the plate over to the pint, provisionally, and turned back to the register to dig through the stack of receipts and the records in the machine that hadn't been closed and printed yet.
"If you do find one, I hope you have a card for him, or that he paid in advance," Kevin said, folding up his paper over on itself, an inside page facing out.
Cooper stopped, finger hovering over the register keypad.  "Wait – what?  What do you mean?"
"I'm just saying," Kevin said, turning the newspaper around and pushing it across the bar for Cooper to read, "that you're not going to have a lot of luck chasing his estate for a fifteen-dollar bar tab."  Next to him, Greg, then Lou and finally Seth leaned over to look at the paper under his finger; it wasn't easy to read beyond the headline upside down, but the photo was obviously Willard: Willard Pattiswick, age 73, at home after a brief illness.  They turned – everyone turned – over to the pint and the BLT, sitting together like a shrine.  Kevin clapped once, twice, a Shinto devotional, and Cooper nearly jumped out of his skin.
Shaking his head, Cooper picked up the sandwich plate and the Guinness, bringing them back behind the bar to the sink and the trash bucket as he tried to bring himself back to himself again.  "Man," he said, still shaking hard, "good thing Tottenham won today, huh? Gerry'd be ripshit if the bar ended up haunted – and by a Spurs fan?  Like we aren't already haunted bad enough by Arsenal guys who forget how many tabs they've paid and never go home." He shook the last drops from the glass and carried the dishes over to the dishwasher at the far end of the bar.

My Best Friend Jericho. Part Nine.
BIRMINGHAM
Today we were near where I lived when I was in the UK. It was a weird feeling because I never thought I’d ever say it but I was so happy to be back here and see how different things were but from getting off the coach at 1:30am and seeing loads of drunk people, it seemed nothing had changed at all. I had a flashback to the night out in London and I felt my heart beating a lot quicker at the thought at what could of happened. I couldn’t believe I ever let that almost happen. I grew up as such an independent person and was able to look after myself but lately I just felt like I couldn’t and being back in Birmingham made me want to be that strong, independent person again but it was short lived when I walked in the lobby and was about to leave to get food at midday and heard my name being called.
“Vic, wait up.”
The voice was deep and strong. It was almost demanding of me to stop what I was doing. I turned my whole body around to see who it was but my curiosity was not answered when there stood Seth, Lesnar and Roman. It could of been any of them as they walked towards me like some kind of A-Team.
“Where are you going?” the same sound came out of Seths mouth. Of course it had to be Seth.
“I was just going to get some food.”
“Well that’s good then because we were going to too.”
The three men joined me at the front of the hotel.
“Know any good places?” Lesnar asked me like a Birmingham tour guide.
“No idea,” I said as I was the first one to walk out the hotel and begin the hunt for food while the men followed “I haven’t been here in years.”
“Haven’t been here in years?” Roman repeated me with his eyes slightly squinted. I knew what he was getting at but looking at Birmingham made me not really want to admit I grew up near here. I’ll never forget I came from here though. “I think I see a sign up here.” Lesnar said and we headed in the direction of the sign. It was a outdoor restaurant as we just knew inside the bullring would of been full and none of us wouldn’t of been able to even move with how many people would of surrounded us for photos and autographs. The place was only a few minutes away from the hotel but still Lesnar lead the way and I stood slightly behind him and Seth and Roman stood behind me. I had bodyguards and I didn’t know how I felt about it but I understood why they were doing it. “It looks good.” Roman commented on the outside look of the place. It looked discrete and almost not even like a restaurant at all but we walked in and it was like the tardis where it was much much bigger on the inside. There was only 3 people inside and they were all sitting on their own tables. Lesnar walked in first and he had everyone’s eyes on him but he always does when he walks in to a building. The man behind the bar looked at us and gave us a smile and the three older men sitting down were just enjoying their cups of tea. We all entered the place and Lesnar made eye contact with us all. “I’m good with here.” I commented. “Yeah me too” Seth agreed and Roman nodded along. “We won’t be surrounded by people asking for photos here.” “Yeah, true, let’s sit over there in the 4.” Lesnar said and lead the way to where he was on about which was roughly half way through the place. Lesnar let me sit down and he sat down next to me while Seth sat opposite me and Roman sat next to him. We all picked up a menu and it was like the whole hotel bar situation again in Reading. I took a deep breath in and read the menu trying to take it in before deciding on what I want. “Jeez. They do so much unhealthy crap.” Lesnar commented. “There’s a salad section.” Roman replied with a huge smile on his face as he looked at Lesnar over the menu. He was dying to laugh but was trying to hold it in. “A bloody salad section?” Roman and Lesnar went back and forth as I hid my smile behind the menu as I could feel Seths eyes on me. I avoided eye contact with him but as I went near the top of the menu I could the darkness around his eyes as he was pretending to look at the menu instead. “Yeah, there’s a nice tomato-y one here just for you.” Roman replied still with a smile on his face. “You’ve got to be kidding me. It’s actually called the Lesnar salad!” Lesnar gave out a roar of laughter which just set me and Roman off on one too. I looked at the menu and at the salad section to check if he was joking but it turned out he was wasn’t. It was actually called the Lesnar Salad. I burst out laughing and after a while my jaw began to hurt and tears began to roll down my cheeks when out of nowhere Seth handed me his napkin. “Thank you” I said to him. “It’s okay.” “You know, the wraps are looking pretty decent.” I added my input to the conversation when the waiter came over to our table. “Hello and welcome, are you ready to order?” He took out his pen and notebook. “Yeah, I’ll have the chicken wrap, but no tomato please.” I said as it didn’t hit until Lesnar gave me a sly eye and then gave a little chuckle which just made me wanted to burst out laughing even more but with the waiter being just to my side I had to hold it in. I felt my fingers tapping on the table as I looked at Lesnar again and he was dying to laugh which just made me even worse. I began to make a noise trying so hard to not the laugh but it was coming almost impossible. “Oh fucking hell” I said quietly when I finally just let out a laugh while turning away from the waiter and more to Lesnar to which he also let out a laugh which set Roman and Seth off too. We had the giggles for sure and none of us could hold it in any longer and we all just let out a roar of laughter. “Two of those please.” Seth copied me and we all continued to laugh on. “Bloody hell” I said under my breath as I rubbed my forehead and we came to end of the laughing. “And I’ll have the chicken fajita salad please.” “I’ll have the pasta with just a bit of cheese, regular chicken with no fat and extra broccoli please.” Lesnar ordered last as he then handed all our menus to the waiter as he finished writing down our orders. “Can we all have an ice cold glass of water each, too, please?” “Thank you and of course madam” he said as he walked off. “Extra broccoli?” I asked as I turned to Lesnar with a straight face. “Yeah, can’t get enough of that stuff.” I turned to Seth with a huge smile on my face as he seemed to have not taken my eyes off me the whole time after copying my order too. It was only moments later that the waiter came over with all our glasses of water and put them all down for us too. “Thanks” We all said and he left. “I have to ask, are you guys following me around then?” I said with my one eyebrow slightly raised and with a smile on my face. It was sort of a joke and sort of not too. I saw Lesnar and Roman look at each other and Seth look at me as I scanned each of their faces. Roman then turned to me and began. “No one touches our friend like that.” “Not a chance in hell.” Seth finally had an input. “Do you remember anything yet?” Lesnar said. “Just what you know, they felt my leg I think, when I was sitting down and I do remember Roman on top of the one of them.” I paused as I then looked at him and both him and Lesnar were looking at Seth when I got confused. “Yeah I just really can’t stand scum like that.” He said while looking at me. There was moments of silence between us as I knew something was going on and they just wasn’t telling me what. I studied their expressions, even Seths who had finally stopped staring at me. Roman was for sure hiding something, his head was down and he had no expression on his face. This secret was getting him down and the worst thing is is that I think he came close to telling me before but had to stop himself. Lesnar was gritting his teeth. His jaws were clenched together and I could easily tell that this secret was eating him alive and the weird thing is is that I think I’d be able to break him the easiest and get the secret. Seth on the other hand seemed to not even know the secret. He was smiling while on his phone in front of me, probably watching kittens videos or something when I heard my phone bleep. “How boring is this! lol” It was from Seth about the whole situation. I hid my phone screen from Lesnar who probably would if seen the text if I hadn’t of thought to hide it so quick. “I’m enjoying it. I’ve never spent so much time with the famous trio. Ha!” I sent back. “Best get use to it then! Looks like there’s going to be a lot of times like this now. :)” I studied his text for a little bit as I tried to take it in before hiding my phone completely, resting it on the free bit of seat next to me, face down as he waiter brought all our food out and placed them in the correct places. He told us to enjoy our food as Lesnar had already shoved his fork in the bowl ready to eat. “Hungry?” Roman commented as we all burst out laughing. It didn’t take long for us to all finish our dinners as we ate it rather quick as hardly anyone had been eating properly the whole time we had been in the UK so to go out and have a decent meal cooked for us felt so good. Finally when we all finished and Lesnar had eaten every last piece of the broccoli that was included we all paid for the food and headed out to see the rest of Birmingham. The day was nice again. The sun was out and I decided it was best to keep to the small streets as being out in the public eye in Birmingham with big names would draw so much attention. Like moths to a light. “It’s best to stick to the quiet streets like this around here. There used to be a crazy amount of stabbings when I lived around here.” I said to them as I was the leader of the group. I looked behind me as I finished my sentence and took a few more steps. The others had stood still and we’re a few steps behind. I turned my whole body and looked at them with a smile on my face. “Yeah let’s head back.” I said as I walked towards them as they were already half way to turning around. We made our way to the hotel and it struck exactly 4pm. “I’m on straight away, Seth your after me so we’ll go together.” Lesnar said as he turned to Seth and began to walk off. “See you later, Vic.” “You best be out there cheering for me Vic” Seth shouted to me as he walked off with Lesnar and gave me a wave. I just smiled back and turned to Roman who was on my right. He smiled at me and I smiled back. “I genuinely don’t remember anything Roman but I really can’t thank you three enough.” “You don’t need to thank us, we would do it for anyone but Vic-” he cut himself off midway as he came in closer. I could smell him. He was wearing Lynx. He looked at me, dead in the eyes as he switched his focus between each of my eyes. “It wasn’t me.” “But she caught me on the counter, it wasn’t me, saw me banging on the sofa, it wasn’t me” I began to sing but soon my voice went quiet as Roman didn’t even budge or anything. He just continued to stare into my eyes. I knew exactly what he meant but I was too worried to hear the answer and what to do with the information. “It was Seth wasn’t it?” I said back to him as I took a breath out. He knew I had no idea what to do with the information as he backed off slightly. “I just thought you needed to know.” “No, I understand, I completely understand. I just-” I took a deep breath “I don’t know what to do. I hear Seth sticking up for me all the time and he’s always there for me and everything but you know, you’ve told me to back away from him and so has Jericho, but he’s my friend and he looks out for me.” “I know I told you to stay away from him but I think he needs you in his life. It’s a really hard situation but you’ve got us and we’re here for you too, both of you through this time.” He looked at me deeply again and smiled before turning around and walking off.

July 10th-27th: Last two and a half weeks in Nicaragua
So, it’s occurred to me that I write quite a lot in these posts.  I’m not sure if anyone other than myself will actually read through all of these (which is fine) so I’ll keep this last post relatively short.  When I’m done, I’ll put up one last batch of pictures to wrap things up.
(EDIT: This post is not short at all.  I’m an inherently wordy writer.  But, that’s okay, right?)
I mentioned earlier that we had a lunch to celebrate José’s birthday.  José, the electromedicine technician that Seth and I worked with in Juigalpa, has his birthday on July 16th, which was a Sunday this year.  The next day, Seth and I told him we’d take him and the other hospital techs out for lunch at Lespool’s Pizza, the restaurant owned by our Juigalpa family.  In my opinion, the lunch was a really great chance to get to know José and the other techs (Elgin, Jader, and Pedro -- there is also another tech, Hector, but he unfortunately could not make the lunch) better.  At one point, José was telling me about various plans that the Nicaraguan Ministry of Health and Hospital Asunción have for buying and maintaining medical equipment.  According to him, every year brings more positive changes, and there is currently a program called “technological vigilance” being implemented that’s aimed at educating people in the medical field about properly taking care of devices.  He also told me that the only university in Central America with a biomedical engineering program is Don Bosco University in San Salvador, El Salvador.  I looked this up and found an article that talks about how graduates of the program have gone on to work in Central America, the U.S., and Europe (unfortunately, I can’t find the article right now :| ).  I thought this was interesting, and according to José, he knows the program director.
During the weekend before the lunch, Seth and I stayed in Juigalpa rather than traveling with other EWH kids.  Unlike our first weekend there, we really took the time to get out, explore, and learn more about the city.  On Friday night, we went to a casino (don’t worry, we each limited ourselves to spending no more than 200$C -- about $7), and later on we went to a bar called The Safari.  I liked The Safari because it was one of the few places in Juigalpa that played American and European music.  However, what I did not like was that, for some weird reason, there were only men there - no women!  (I have to admit that in some nightlife settings, I actually don’t mind being in a crowd with more men than women -- however, those are called gay bars lol.  And the men in The Safari certainly did not seem gay.)  When I asked Jader, my homestay brother about this, he just said that women don’t really go out on Friday nights.  Hmmm, I’ll have to ask more about that someday.
The next day, Seth and I went to the Juigalpa zoo, which pleasantly surprised me.  Since I knew that the hospital in Juigalpa often lacks pharmaceuticals for patients, I was thinking that the animals in the zoo might be visibly unhealthy, since perhaps they don’t always receive nutritious food and proper medications.  However, most of the animals looked great, and there was quite a variety of species.  Lions, tigers, cougars, monkeys, anteaters, buffalo, birds, wildebeests... there were a lot!  When we left, we walked to the Central Park and climbed the Juigalpa Cathedral.  The view from the top was the first glimpse I had looking over the city.  While it may not look like Granada or León, Juigalpa has its own form of charm that I really grew to appreciate during my stay there.  I’ll be sure to post a picture of that view in my next post.  That night, Seth and I went to a rodeo, where some of the craziest people I’ve ever seen attempted to ride on top of bulls.  Fortunately, nobody got hurt, and it was actually really fun to watch.  When we came home, I was coerced (well, it wasn’t complete coercion because I wanted to do it) into going out with my Juigalpa family (meanwhile, Seth passed out).  And when I say family, I mean everyone -- including the 2 little kids!  We went to a lovely hotel/restaurant/bar called Café Iguana.  Being that it was Karaoke Night, everyone kept begging me to sing.  Unfortunately, I was a little dehydrated and ended up not feeling too great, so I never belted out a tune as my family was hoping I would.  But we still had a fun time enjoying the music and some drinks.  The next day, our family dropped us off at Las Peñitas (this is the same name as the beach in León that I went to), which was a pretty community pool right outside of Juigalpa.  Overall, I think it was a really fun weekend, and I finally felt like Juigalpa was really growing on me.  I was suddenly really sad to think I’d be leaving in a week.
Well, a week passed and Seth and I, along with Alyssa, left Juigalpa for Granada.  Saying goodbye to my family was sad.  Lesbia, Lesja, and the others were really wonderful hosts, and I wish I could have stayed a little bit longer just to know them more and spend more time with them.  However, I’m thankful to have spent so many nights eating their delicious food (I’ll never forget their pizza, especially the crust) and talking to them about my love of Nicaragua.  I’m still in touch with many of them through WhatsApp and Facebook, and we have continued to communicate.  Saying goodbye on that last morning was a little teary, but after we left, I was glad to be heading back to Granada.
Reuniting with everyone from EWH was really good.  I was happy to see the others, and our hostel was in a really great location within the city.  When we arrived in Granada, I felt like I had entered a large, cosmopolitan city with a diverse mix of people -- well, perhaps it just felt like this in contrast to Juigalpa.  Unfortunately, there wasn’t a ton of time to explore and have fun.  Each group of students had paperwork to complete and a powerpoint presentation to prepare.  Fortunately, Seth and I had already started everything earlier on in the week, so Saturday was really just a chance to put the finishing touches on everything.
The next morning, we woke up early, dressed up, had breakfast, and walked to our old school to have the conference.  There were five student presentations (Chinandega, Juigalpa, Somoto, Matagalpa, and Jinotega), as well as presentations from our coordinators.  We attempted a skype call with Leslie Calman (the EWH CEO) and Iyad, who were both in the U.S., and the EWH SI group in Uganda.  That way, we would have more of an audience for the conference.  Unfortunately, the Skype called burned through the data we had purchased so quickly that only 2 of the 5 student groups could share their presentations.  Luckily for me, Seth and I were one of those groups!  I was really happy with how our presentation went.  Our powerpoint was fairly balanced with text and photos, and Seth and I went through it quickly enough that we explained everything without boring everyone.  I really liked listening to our coordinators’ presentations, too.  One thing that Jack spoke about was how grateful we should be to have made friendships with one another -- not only did we now have new friends, but we had made connections with other students who are passionate about global health.  Something that Alyssa spoke about was reverse culture shock: an experience that people have when they return to their home countries after being abroad for a long time.  An important part of going through reverse culture shock is staying in touch with the people you went abroad with; they are the only people who can truly relate to the experiences you had, and it can be helpful to talk to them if you have any difficulties readjusting to life back home.
The end of the conference marked the official ending of my journey with Engineering World Health.  However, my time in Nicaragua did not end on Sunday.  I don’t plan on elaborating on this too much, but I made a really great friend from Costa Rica when I visited San Juan del Sur in early June.  We stayed in touch for the remainder of my time in Nicaragua, and we decided to spend a few days together back in San Juan del Sur at the end of July.  Jean Carlo (that’s his name) visited me in Granada that Sunday, and we spent the afternoon having lunch on Calle Calzada and then touring Las Isletas in Lake Nicaragua.  The next day, we traveled from Granada to San Juan del Sur and enjoyed three days there.  Jean Carlo and I are still friends today, and I’m really thankful to know him.  On Wednesday, I traveled back to Granada, and early on Thursday morning, I departed from the Managua airport back home to New Jersey.
My summer with Engineering World Health has been an unforgettable experience that I will forever treasure in my heart.  I posted a photo on Instagram the day I came home, and the caption I wrote is copied below.  I think it adequately concludes this blog post.
“And after two months, I’m back home in New Jersey. How do I begin to describe these past experiences in Nicaragua? This trip has been more than what I ever imagined, and I don’t know how to thank everyone who made it so special. From my EWH companions, my families and friends in Granada and Juigalpa, and everyone else I’ve met along the way — I'm so lucky to have known all of you, and I will always look back on this time with incredible fondness. Thank you simply for everything.

Love to Hate - Chapter 3
2 days pass and I start working on the figurines for Seth’s cake. I haven’t told Laura that I am doing Seth’s cake. I won’t hear the end of it. Laura and Justin have received their invite for his party and they are really excited. Especially Laura, she won’t shut up about it. We are in the living room sitting on the couch, she has the invite in her hand staring at it.
She says “If you weren’t such a bitch to him, you probably would have gotten an invite”
I smile “Really? What makes you think I want to be there?”
She says “It’s going to be awesome, Justin has told me about his parties”
I tell her “I’m struggling to see the sweet guy you said he is”
She laughs “You started it all, he didn’t, he just isn’t putting up with your shit”
I smile “I didn’t start anything, you tried to set us up and I spoke my mind”
Her jaw drops “Are you kidding me right now? You are blaming me for the hatred you two have for each other”
I tell her “Well if you didn’t try to set us up, I wouldn’t even know the asshole to begin with and my life will be a lot easier”
She asks “Don’t you even want to know when it is, you might be able to make a mends with him in the meantime”
I already know when it is, I know where he lives. I have to deliver the cake on the day of the party.
I say “No, I don’t want to know”
2 weeks pass, It’s time for me to deliver Seth’s cake. I’ve been dreading this moment since Rachael come in and seen me. Rachael said she will meet me out the front of his place. Before I start bringing the cake in, Rachael first takes me to show me where the cake will be. I notice his place is fucking huge, I thought my place was huge, but his place is just ridiculous. I follow Rachael through to the backyard. She wasn’t wrong when she said he had organised a huge party for himself. There’s obviously going to be a band, the stage is all set up ready to go with a fair few chairs and music stands set up. He really has gone all out for this party. I didn’t get a chance to take more in because I now had to set up the cake on the table and put the final touches on it. I was determined to find a way to put a dick on Seth’s cake without anyone noticing. I did find a way. The dick is a figurine I made to look like Seth. I placed it front and centre.
Rachael comes up to me after I’m done setting it up she says “Wow, I’m impressed, that’s amazing. Seth will love it, Thankyou”
I smile “No problem” then I add “Can you please give this to your brother for me?” I hand her a sealed envelope with a note inside.
She asks “I can do that. What is it?”
I reply “I quite often give the birthday people a message” that’s a huge lie, but Rachael brought it
She smiles “That’s so sweet of you”
I tell her “Well I better be off now, I’m pretty strapped for time today, enjoy your night”
She replies “Will do, bye”
It’s now midnight, I am still at work. Just after the few deliveries I had to make, it left me with a lot to catch up on. I sent everyone else home at 9pm. My phone receives a message. I don’t know the number. I open the message anyway.
It’s a photo of the note I left for Seth with the message “I have your number now, it’s on”.
All the note said was “I put a big dick on your cake, I know you will find it because it looks just like you”
The last thing I wanted was for him to have my number. I call the number that the message was sent from off the work phone. I’m hoping Seth was dumb enough to send it from his phone. The phone rings out and goes to voice mail. It belongs to a chick named Alex. I don’t reply to the text. I just go back to what I was working on. Not long after I receive another message, this time from another number. I open the message, it’s another photo. Seth has taken a selfie. With his free hand he’s giving me the finger while he has a smug smile on his face. There was a message attached to the photo “Don’t enjoy this photo too much” At the moment he has it over me, he knows it and, I’m sure he knows that I know it. It annoys the hell out of me that I am not winning. I don’t even know how he would have gotten my number. Laura wouldn’t give it to him knowing how much I hate him. It occurs to me I know where he lives. Once I’m finished at work, I go to his place. I leave an envelope with a note in it taped to his front door. The note says “I know where you live” then I go home. I get home at 3am. I have a shower and get into my pajamas. I flop myself on my bed and cover myself with the blankets. I check my phone before I go to sleep. There is a message. Just a text message this time. “Go and Fuck yourself you crazy bitch”
I go to sleep satisfied that I got him to bite. The next morning I get to sleep in. A sleep in for me is no later than 8am. Laura and Justin are up when I get up. I do my usual routine, make a coffee, drink it outside while having a smoke. When I go back in, Laura is in the living room. I don’t know where Justin is but he has left his phone on the kitchen counter. I double check to make sure he isn’t around, and also that Laura isn’t watching me. I quickly grab his phone. I am going to get Seth’s number. When I go to unlock the phone, it’s password protected. I put his phone in my pocket, I go into
Laura and ask casually “What’s the date you and Justin become official?”
She’s skeptical “Why?”
“I was just curious that’s all” I say
She’s still skeptical but tells me anyways.
I was hoping that it was the password to Justin’s phone. I head outside with his phone. I guess his password correctly on the third try. I go into his contacts and get Seth’s number. I program Seth’s number into my phone. While I have Justin’s phone, I search through his messages between Seth and him, I’m hoping to find something I can use against Seth. I have a feeling I’m going to need it. In one of the messages he admits to Justin that he thinks I’m hot, but he doesn’t want to do anything about it because I’m a crazy bitch. I chuckle to myself. I have ammo if I need it. Now that I have what I need I put Justin’s phone back on the kitchen counter.
I go into the living room with Laura, she asks “Did Seth get in touch with you last night?”
I laugh “Why would you ask that? No he didn’t”
She smiles “I asked because he pulled me aside last night, he admitted that he likes you and wanted to make a mends with you”
I couldn’t believe what I just heard “Actually, yes he did get in touch with me, but let me show you why he wanted my number”
I showed her all the messages. She laughs that hard tears are streaming down her face.
I snap “It’s not fucking funny, you fell for his bullshit, he has my number now thanks to you”
Still laughing she says “Yeah, but you have his”
I play dumb because the only reason why I have his number is because I not long got it from Justin’s phone.
I say “Actually, no I don’t. If you take note, all these messages are sent from different numbers, none of which are Seth’s number”
She laughs even harder “You deserve it, to send him that note with the cake. As soon as he read the note he knew it was you who made the cake, which by the way, why didn’t you tell me you were doing his cake?”
I roll my eyes. I don’t answer her question.
Late in the afternoon, I am in my cave, I am painting figurines. I have been in here for over an hour. I hear the door open slowly.
Laura says “Would you be interested in meeting one of my friends, you really need to get out more. Your friends are the people who you work with, your socialising is only at work, aren’t you bored of that?”
I stop what I’m doing and start laughing “Really, you want to set me up with someone else? The last time you tried to set me up turned out to be a disaster and I’m still paying for it”
She says “Well you decided you hated Seth before you met him purely because he’s Justin’s friend. This guy is my friend, so you have no excuse to hate him before you meet him”
I ask in disbelief “Are you listening to yourself right now? I am not interested, I am happy with my life except for one thing which is because of you”
She replies “Ok then, I will stop”
I sigh with relief “Thankyou”
She walks out and shuts the door behind her. I pull my phone out of my pocket and check the time. It’s just after 5pm. I notice I have a message on my phone. The message is from Seth, but again, it’s another number. He has taken a selfie again. This time he has messed his hair up, his half smirking. He looks so fucking gorgeous in the photo. The message he sends with it “I thought I would be nice and let you have a photo to enjoy” Asshole. I decide it’s time to let him know that I have his number. I send a message to his number “Fuck you Asshole”
I instantly get a reply, it’s actually from his number this time.
“How the fuck did you get my number?”
I reply “Never mind how I got your number” He doesn’t reply. A few days pass by, I haven’t heard another word from Seth. Obviously it was no fun for him anymore since I got his number. It’s been so peaceful since he has left me alone.

Chapter 44
It’s the 4th of December. I’m 38 weeks pregnant. Seth and I have been happy. We have both gotten our act together and we are enjoying each other’s company. Everything is all ready for the baby’s arrival. We have chosen out names. It’s just a waiting game now.
Seth has a day off today. We decide we will go out for lunch. We knew we would both get stopped for autographs, photos and there would be paparazzi about, we were both in a nice, relaxed mood and didn’t care.
We are just going to a small low key cafe, something different. As we expected, our fans pulling both of us up for selfies and autographs. They all gave us their best wishes. Both Seth and I really enjoyed our day together.
When we went home we just relaxed and watched movies for the afternoon. Seth was sitting on the couch, he had his legs on the couch, straightened out, I had my back relaxed into him. He has a habit of just rubbing his hands over my belly now. Its cute. We both fall asleep.
Another 2 weeks have gone by. It’s 18th of December. My due date. In the past week I have been getting alot of messages basically asking if I’ve had the baby yet. It got to the point where just turned off my phone, I wasn’t going to touch it until I have had the baby. Mum, Dad, Harper and Emma all have Seth’s number so they could still get a hold of me.
Seth is super excited today because it’s my due date. I don’t know what time he got up, but he was up and already dressed by the time I crawled out of bed and found him in the living room.
He says cheery “Good morning Babe”
I smile “Good morning” I raise an eyebrow. He notices.
“What’s that look for?” he asks
“You are rarely up this early, if by chance you are, you are in a prick of a mood. You are abnormally happy!”
He laughs “Abnormally happy? I’m not allowed to be happy now?”
“I never said that weren’t allowed to be happy, it’s actually very nice to see, but I’m curious as to the reason behind it!”
He says with a huge smile “Babe, it’s your due date” then cuddles up to me, smothering me in kisses
“Babe, that doesn’t mean it’s going to happen today” surely he knows that.
“I know that! Can’t I just be happy?” he still smiling.
“Of course you can” I smile and kiss his lips.
Christmas eve comes around, I will be a week overdue tomorrow. Still no sign of the baby arriving. I’ve had an appointment with the Dr 2 days ago, he said if I haven’t gone into labour by the 29th, I will need to be induced.
Ron, Rachael, Spencer and the kids are coming around for dinner tonight, they will all be spending the night. Christmas was originally supposed to be at Ron’s this year, but for obvious reasons, they changed it to our place.
7pm they all rock up. Rachael and Spencer give the kids dinner, so they can be in bed early and hopefully fall asleep so Santa can bring the presents early!
We only had a basic dinner. No one felt that hungry.
An hour later, Everyone had some alcohol in them, except me of course, Seth was tipsy, he didn’t go beyond that just in case. Rachael is drunk. She blurts out to Seth and I “I bet you haven’t had sex for a while!”
Both Seth and I look at each other trying to figure out where she is going with this.
She then says “Have sex tonight, then see what happens!”
Both Seth and I just laugh it off once we catch on to watch she’s getting at. We both have heard that sex can bring on labour, we have also heard other old wives tales as well, so just pretty much dismissed it.
I was the first to go to bed. Seth followed not long after. He asks “Babe, you still awake?”
I was still awake, just. I answer sounding a bit groggy “Yeah Babe”
All he says “Let’s try it!”
I laugh “Do you really think it will work?”
“Don’t know, but at least we had fun trying if it doesn’t!” he says sounding very happy.
We quickly strip ourselves off. We aren’t making love tonight, we are on a mission!
I didn’t have the energy to go on top, so we go at it doggy style!
He does the thing that drives me crazy, he puts 2 fingers in his mouth to lubricate them and pushes them inside me. I moan, I’m already soaking wet but he does it again. In a very slight whisper I say “Oh God”
He asks “You want more?”
Still in a whisper I reply “Oh God yes”
He does it another 2 times before sucking his fingers. He guides himself into me, grabs my waist and starts thrusting hard and fast. I start moaning, I had to moan into my pillow, I was getting a bit loud! Seth’s Breathing is heavy. I can feel myself on the edge I tell Seth “Harder, I have to come”
He starts pounding now. I moan out loud as I come, I forgot to muffle my moans in the pillow.
My orgasm pushes him over the edge, he’s pounding as hard as he possibly can, he moans out “Holy. Fucking. Shit” as he comes hard into me.
He pulls out and gives my arse a playful slap. I yelp, he caught me totally off guard.
He laughs and says “Give me 10 min and we can go again”
I sit up with my back against the bed head.
I ask, amused “Who said we are going again?” I immediately rethink that question and say with a smile “Never mind, stupid question!”
Seth says “Yes, that was a very stupid question!” He has a huge grin on his face.
We go another 2 rounds before we finally decide it’s time to go to sleep.

Ellie Kemper Is Officially a Mom of 2! Here's What We Know About Her Kids
In case you missed it, Ellie Kemper is officially a mom of two! The actress - who you probably know from Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and The Office - welcomed a second child with her comedian husband, Michael Koman. Although we don't know a whole lot about Ellie's little ones (She keeps things pretty private!), we have a few details fans will surely want to know. Scroll through to learn what we know about her kiddos. Related: Kate Hudson, Seth Meyers, Kim Kardashian, and More Celebrities Are Giving Us Sneak Peeks at Their Family Holiday Cards James Miller Koman Ellie Kemper's first baby was born in August of 2016. Although she's especially private as far as her family goes on social media, she did share a first photo of James on Today back in 2017, calling him "the cutest baby on the planet." According to Ellie, James has a fondness for the A Star Is Born soundtrack, which she plays regularly at home. "Bradley Cooper's voice is very deep and gravelly throughout the movie, and there's one dialogue bit on the soundtrack . . . where Lady Gaga says, 'You know I don't feel this way about everybody,' and Bradley Cooper says, 'Good!' James thinks that is so funny," Ellie shared in a January 2019 interview with Us Weekly, adding, "He bursts out laughing every time it happens and now he says it." And apparently, the actress is pretty proud of her son's imitation, going as far to call herself an "obnoxious" mom. "When we're at a party or someone comes over, I'll say, 'James, you know I don't feel this way about everybody,' and he says, 'Good!' And I'm, like, a stage mom about it," she said. "I'm like, 'Look at our little party trick!'" Related: Ellie Kemper's Recent Pregnancy Joke Got a LOT of Attention From Her Former Office Costars Matthew Koman Ellie and Michael welcomed their second son, named Matthew, in Sept. 2019. In honor of his first month earthside, the actress shared an adorable Instagram with the caption: "He has inherited his dad's brown hair and his mom's desire to be carried around all day in a baby sling. He's a good boy." How sweet! We don't know if Matthew has middle name like his brother does yet, and we're eager to learn more about Ellie's new bundle of joy. http://bit.ly/2r8QNgo
