Power Rangers Dino Thunder: A New Storm Preview

(I am currently working on a AU retelling of Dino Thunder fanfiction with some altered details and some events switched around and some original ideas spread in. The biggest of which being having Jason returning as the mentor and black ranger instead of Tommy. As well as, the identity of Zeltrax which I will not spoil here. Summary: After years retired from his duties as a ranger, Jason Lee Scott and Anton Mercer's research team had attempted to study genetics to move humanity to the next stage. But things went wrong and their research and lab were destroyed. Now, he finds himself in Reefside High School as a science professor. One day, he is entrusted with three students in detention; popular soccer player Conner McKnight, computer geek Ethan James, and aspiring musician Kira Ford. Mysterious circumstances lead to them finding powerful stones known as the dino gems and together, the three are chosen to defeat a mutant monster known as Mesogog and his minions who wants to eradicate all life on Earth. How very strange, that a fourth parent should find him, should look upon his little face at over six feet tall, and should decide to do his best to keep him forever. Still, it could always have been worse.

But I haven't finished of it about an new friend group called The Fab Twelve who's being friends with The Core Four in the Extended Cut of Scream VI when they're all survived the attack in Woodsboro in Scream (2022) & attending to Blackmore University in New York & their friend groups have expanded when they have new friends like Ethan Landry, Stanley Williams, Natasha Longwood, Rory's elder sister Alivia, Quinn Bailey, her older brother Quentin Bailey & his buddy Derek Shepherd including Derek's girlfriend Lillian "Lily" Davis, Anika Kayoko & her Half-sisters Susie & Hannah Kayoko, Lincoln Jefferson, & Hayley & Holly McDaniel, the daughters of Hallie McDaniel, including Zachary & Caroline Feldman, the son & daughter of Derek Feldman, also Taylor Swanson & Maurice Thompson & new neighbors like Terry & Larry's nephew Anthony "Anton" Mercer, Lily's Niece Riley Davis, Danny Brackett & his baby sister Danielle. Dino Thunder lore post

The Dino Gems are the crystalized bodies of the ancient dinosaurs that Mesogog put under her control. When the gems were recovered by the eventual Dino Rangers (Connie McKnight, Kira Ford, Ethan James, Sasha Lorde, and Phoenix Richards), the biomechanical shells built around their skeletal structures (the Biozords) activated and went on a bit of a rampage. Hayley Ziktor, the one who accidentally helped Anton Mercer (one of the major villains of the season) fuse with Mesogog, built the Dino Morphers for the eventual Rangers. When the gems bonded to the Rangers, they sought out Hayley due to her background in biorobotics and paleontology.

The suits were designed to harness the primal energy of the Dino Gems, but also to inhibit it. The energy within them eventually start bonding their souls with the souls of the dinosaurs that eventually became the Dino Gems. While this grants the hosts unusual abilities (enhanced speed, a sonic scream, impenetrable skin, enhanced strength, and telepathy for each Ranger mentioned above), it also turned them into sort of "weredinosaur" creatures. When their stress levels reach a certain point, they undergo a painful transformation from their normal human forms to the forms of the dinosaurs they've bonded with. This transformation lasts until the spirits of the dinosaurs have decided that they've killed enough game and consumed enough blood, and relinquish the bodies back to the Rangers.

When the Rangers are calm, their powers are weaker, but they're also much more in control of themselves. When developing the Brachio Morpher and the Brachio Key, Hayley based the design on the Morphers of the Turbo Rangers. The design of the core 4 Ranger suits includes triangles that are the primary suppression agents. When the Rangers are on their last legs, the inhibiting mechanism fails, and sends them into a frenzied, bloodlusted state that Hayley has dubbed the "Predator's Effect"

When the Rangers willingly call upon the power, they are much more in control of the power. Their adrenaline levels are through the roof, but they are in control. Hayley has coined this term as "Super Dino Mode," because both the host and the spirit are aligned and agreed.

Do you have a cast in mind for Supernova

Now, that’s quite the fascinating question. Honestly, it’s a bit difficult to answer, as traditionally the actors in Power Rangers tend to be ones that aren’t really well-known. So if for some miraculous reason this does get picked up by Hasbro, it’s not like it’s gonna have some all-star cast.

That being said, if need be, I would like a handful of more well-known voice actors for some of the non-humanoid characters, only a few though.

Shen: Keith David

Karna Rog: Here’s an interesting one, Latham Gaines, who previously played Anton Mercer and voiced Mesogog in Dino Thunder. In particular I imagine a voice similar to Mesogog being used. This is also partially a casting gag.

Schedar: Grey DeLise

Can’t really think of any others off-hand at the moment. It… wasn’t really made with any casting choices in mind since, y’know.

Hank McCoy from First Class, he gets what he deserve in his karmic transformation into a blue furball

I'm also counting like jabbing yourself, aerosol, swallowing it, transfusing it with untested science/medicine or otherwise same trope, just different method of delivery.

the only case that I know of where this leads to a good outcome is when its the curing of the plague or illness like in the case of the Star Trek episode Miri, where Dr. McCoy doesn't know which test is the antidote so Spock tests it out on himself; but this more of a case not being able to communicate with the ship's computer that could tell with a time clock running out.

Perhaps we can also count Static and Virgil from Static Shock in the event of The Big Bang; but for nearly the rest its um not so much; Miguel O'Hara with his backstory of bad corporate mad science and exploitation (which totally fits with what the fuck Elon Musk is doing with neuralink).

But other than that your in for a fucking world of PAIN. It just shows why we need high ethical standards in medicine and even a higher threshold for human testing; informing those who participate full information about the risks before they consent, what researchers hope to achieve etc.
