Throwback from Rome. This is on the Aventine hill. The structure on the right side of the painting is the sight of the Aventine keyhole, which is a building that’s technically not Italy, but the territory of the Knights of Malta. There’s a little keyhole you can look through and see inside the structure, and also Saint peters Dome beyond it. A bit of a tourist site, you can search for it online.
