I assume you have read half way across, I definitely did and I always kept wondering would this scenario be possible? Would that play along similar way if ever happened in canon?

Definitely read Half Way Across. It's an iconic Batjokes story, incredibly well-written and in-character. And yes, I'd say that at least to me, it's pretty much exactly how I'd imagine this scenario unfolding in canon. A bit of spoilers for HWA incoming, for anyone who hasn't read the fic.

I think I talked about it somewhere else before, about how time and context are a huge factor to me when it comes to Batjokes-- and how The Killing Joke is a massive turning point in their dynamic. At that point in time, Joker hadn't killed Jason. He hadn't killed Sarah Essen-Gordon, he hadn't become so monstrous as to appear entirely irredeemable. Not to mention, Bruce hadn't accrued such an extensive Family by that time, which Joker hurt in different ways and which would make any current rehabilitation attempt led by Bruce personally so difficult. It follows that Bruce offering to help and Joker accepting that help would not have been such an impossibility then as it is today, in more ways than one. Besides, Joker would undoubtedly demand Bruce's involvement in his rehabilitation, if Bruce himself wouldn't take over with barely any prompting; after all, his offer to Joker in TKJ is not just "I could help you", it's also "we could work together". It shows that Bruce has thought about it extensively, has imagined a future with a Joker who's by his side.

But well... then there's the issue of the power imbalance. To be honest, it's been a while since I read HWA, but the reason why I never felt the need to write a story like that myself is because HWA tackled the major issue with any Batjokes rehabilitation story so well-- which is, put simply, Bruce getting to have too much control over Joker. Bruce's need for control is almost all-encompassing, and the reason why Joker is his nemesis is Joker's utter defiance of it. Bruce cannot fully understand Joker, hence he cannot predict or control Joker, and that's... unique. To differing degrees, Bruce controls everyone around him; he has back-up plans for his back-up plans in case someone goes rogue, in case he needs to take down close friends and allies. He knows exactly what emotional buttons to push to get the people around him to do what he thinks is best. But Joker isn't like that, and it's crucial to them being equals that Joker stays like that. However, if Joker is in Bruce's power as Bruce tries to "fix him" the way he thinks is best... the power balance becomes massively skewed. And Bruce's need for control would rear its ugly head in so many ways, while for Joker this would mean constant doubt and resentment about having to be who Bruce wants him to be-- otherwise, Bruce would turn off the flashlight half way across. HWA feels like an accurate way the story could go in canon because it deals with this, precisely. With the trust issues that would arise for both Bruce and Joker, with Bruce's need for control and ideas of normality. No matter how a rehabilitation scenario played out for Batjokes, if Bruce is personally involved in it, I do think this will always happen similarly.

Now, HWA isn't finished, and I don't know what Dracze has in store for it so I won't speculate, but I'm very much looking forward to how this tension between them would break. (And I want to make the point that it doesn't matter that it's a WIP, or if/when it gets updated-- this is an amazing story and we're lucky it's being shared with us.)

so incredibly curious about the midnight run pastiche!

Midnight Run is one of the older movies in my Netflix queue that I actually ended up watching, and I enjoyed it more than I expected to. It's a late 80s action comedy about an embezzling accountant who's skipped out on bail and the bounty hunter who has to drag him back across the country before the bail bondsman defaults. Hijinks ensue, and the accountant and bounty hunter find themselves becoming friends along the way.

The tone is not batjokesy, but the plot would be a great scenario for them. In my version, Joker becomes a mob target after he comes into possession of incriminating evidence against them, and he decides to escape all the way to Las Vegas. Of course, Bruce has to fetch Joker to bring him back to Gotham and secure that evidence. The mob goons make it surprisingly difficult to just get Joker on the damn batplane, and he and Batman spend more time together than expected.

Right now I'm stuck on the crux of the story, a conversation where they connect unexpectedly. But I'm gonna get it! Any day now!

If this idea sounds grabs anyone else, I fully encourage you to give it a shot, especially since mine is intended to be a one-shot. Batman putting up with Joker for a full road trip could be a lot of fun.

Ok, so we're gonna start from #5, because I decided to rate these like a loon:

#5:

Birth. Starting off on the disk horse topic of HP fanfic. Listen, regardless of how I feel about the series now (which is messy, to say the least), there's one thing I still can't help but love about it...and it's not only tiny, but half of the reasoning behind it is of my own making. It's Peeves the Poltergeist. I LOVE Peeves. He's my favorite character type - short, temperamental, powerful, 90% humor and fun, inhuman, and neither a Good nor Bad guy. I rarely used to read HP fic back in the day, but I noticed that for such a big fandom, he never had much to his name. (And what I did find was...disappointing for me.) I reread the series in 2015 for the first time in a while and did some Deep Thinking about him. What his limits are. How he's presented. Where he even came from. The bare scraps of canon and Word of God (distasteful) material pushed my buzzing brain to write about him, and eventually churned out this little origin story. I wrote several one-shots surrounding him, but this is my favorite of the bunch. In my eyes, it's simple, short, and effective in storytelling. So I like it. (^_^)

#4:

The Whole Nine Yards. Yes, my current WIP is on the favorite list. It started off as a sex-romp list, because I had too many positions and kinks I wanted John and Bruce to try. It first grew into showing Bruce/John as a couple at home, because my main fics in the Perseverance Project series don't get to show them being all lovey-dovey as much as I'd like. Then I added a few dashes of angst for character building. Then it evolved into including what AtBoM skipped over (for various reasons) - visits at Arkham showing their [growing] love and trust rebuild post-S2, and showing different sides to them.

So what we have now is: "Two guys in love met in an asylum 2.5 years ago, and less than one year after they first met, one keeps coming to visit the other. The visits' subjects are then related to current day, where they finally live together like a real couple, with all it's ups and downs, and sexy results". It's a mouthful, I know. ;D But I think it works!

It's great to explore all these things and essentially back-track a bit versus rewrite any part of AtBoM. Plus, I get to mumble about something that always interests me in this 'verse: Bruce's relationship with his parents. To go from loving them and putting them and their deaths on a pedestal to look to for inspiration to keep going on being Batman, to learning they were the biggest criminals in the city and a key reason while he's even having to be Batman... That's gotta affect how he looks at things. Like, I mentioned Bruce's dislike of his house in AtBoM and TToJ, but here it's full-force. It was a mausoleum for their memory and now it's just a means to an end. He doesn't consider it home, or even rightfully his. But John living there with him makes it a home. Their home. :')

Also, I feel like I'm playing a decorating game and a dress up game with it! Kind of like The Sims, I guess. xD John's room and summer wardrobe are fun to craft as I go. (Don't worry, you'll get to see John's classic outfit at the end. For...reasons.) Plus, soon* you'll see Bruce's bedroom revamped!

#3:

A Ghost Too Far. Disk Horse, part two. Peeves is the one thing I still wistfully sigh over and go "ah, what could have been"...all while knowing that I took the bones of my blorbo and crafted him a full body myself. It's been 7 years since I started writing this particular story, and it clocks in over 230K words. As things are now, I have no idea if I'll ever actually finish it, for a myriad of reasons. So to make a long story short (HA!):

Out of the hundreds of thousands of HP fanfics, and the handful that had Peeves as a character, I found Peeves had no proper big epic romance story of his own and decided to make him one, combining it with one big exploratory setting of How He Is, all set in 2003/2004. His destined romantic partner is an American witch (queue eyeroll), acting as a one-year-only DatDA teacher (queue harder eyeroll), who I can describe in modern** terms as a gender-non-conforming adult punk who is absolutely fascinated with ghosts. She makes it a point to study the castle ghosts, especially Peeves, as poltergeists are super rare and physical ones are apparently unheard of outside of him. She makes a deal with Peeves that he can break just about anything she owns and annoy her all he wants, in exchange for information on how he works. Which I worked out via the aforementioned HP reread and lots of Deep Thinking as literally by feeding off of (aka absorbing) magic from humans, like his "relatives" the Dementor and Boggart. Unlike them, he primarily eats high energy feelings of "anger" "sadness" and "excitement", because he was created in a castle with children who can have powerful feelings of all three very easily. Is this theory of mine presented in canon? Who fucking cares anymore, the author's dead in all senses but literal.

It might not be finished, and it might never be, but writing out this monstrosity of a theory while getting a guy like Peeves to fall in and explore love for the first time holds a special place in my heart. Because not only does Peeves reside permanently in my brain (I'm pretty sure he's the Writing Gremlin who suggests those "this is what goes painfully wrong" scenarios), but so does Dandrane, who I hand-crafted to be Peevesy's romantic partner. I love her. I owe her. Her favorite color is hot pink; because of her, I have gotten over my old feud with the color pink. I wrote her to be 30 while I was then 24; after a while, nearing/turning 30 no longer bothered me. I wrote her to be cool, confident, and a little horrible. Because we all have that bitchy little voice in our head sometimes... The desire to break something without consequences... The need to have our anger recognized rather than ignored or attempted to be placated... Dandrane is a wonderful vessel for these feelings, even after all this time.

She's my cool girl. My tall bean. My silly little flamingo. I want to put her in an enriched enclosure and watch her with a set of binoculars.

#2:

At the Brink of Midnight. My most popular fic is second-place in my heart, at this current hour. (Ha!) For reasons I'm sure you long-time readers already guessed, that I have mentioned time and again in it's author notes: this fic was FUN to make!!!

The Halloween setting! The fresh takes on Scarecrow and Poison Ivy! John recreating Joker! Bruce rescuing John! Bruce finally hugging John! THE CONFESSION SCENE! A rave scene in a graveyard!!! Batman and Joker teaming up to kick ass!!!!!

It's! So! Great!!! It's not too long, but still a big novel-length! Easy to read and get lost in! It presents an original character who carries the possibility of redemption! It hits all those story beats I craved to see for a Season 3! Hell, even now I'd be hard pressed not to expect to see Dr. Crane in any potential sequel we'd get IRL!

Are there things I'd change? Sure. But nothing major. I'm still happy with it, even 4 years later. Maybe part of my love for it is also a desire to be able to pump out 110K words within a few months again...

#1:

The Tolls of Justice!

Is it my most popular fic? Nah, it's #2. But it's my #1. The king of my heart. It took 2-and-a-half years to finish, in no small part because 2020 was a bitch. And despite the frustration at writer's block, despite the silly errors that I still need to go back and fix, and despite the time it took...God, I LOVE it.

Whenever I reread part of it, I get sucked in and read more than I meant to. I know the majority of the little notes I made, but whenever I read one of the tarot hints I can't help but go ehe he he. I read John's breakdown in Arkham, and his transformation into what is his final form of vigilante!Joker, and I still tear up. I see the theme of a writer playing God, of having a defined inescapable ending but proving that choices still matter, and just sit with it in utter delight.

I have many favorite moments: Tiffany and John's day out, the entirety of the Wayne Gala, John and Iman's investigation at the theater, Batman's descent into the Court of Owls' secret lair with Robin... But I have a favorite bit. It's the kind of thing I giggle over while kicking my legs in my seat.

So in Chapter 12, Batman and Joker are having a few moments together before the Big Battle in the high tier of seats above the main floor/"stage area", able to watch the Court of Owls' mock-trial below. In theaters, the highest tier is sometimes known as "the gods" seats.

As my version of the CoO has their whole thing built on "our God wrote down our destiny exactly and the Evil God keeps causing chaos to interfere", and considering the DC multiverses and that Batman and Joker are constantly in them, and as Bats and Jokes are generally simplified as "Order and Chaos"... They're figuratively 'gods' in "the gods" seats watching the show below. ౧(*മ് ധമ്)੭ु⁾⁾

As for WIPs, I only have 2 at the moment. I use OneNote to write all my ideas for it (when I'm actually writing them down):

As you can see, I have sections for The Whole Nine Yards (abbreviated "W9Y" in notes only) and the untitled "BtTTS S5" below. (The "After Hours" is just IRL work notes, when I had to use my personal PC for work in 2020, and "Noir "is literally a list of film noir movies I'm keen to watch. I've been really into them lately!)

Right now S5's notepad only has 2 sections - the Thinkbox and "J Tech". The Thinkbox pages are pretty much the brainstorm dumping ground...but TWNY's is actually laid out rather nicely, like this. I'd post a screenshot, but then this post would...uh, turn nsfw... (; ' o' )

distortopia, particularly repetitio est mater studiorum @distort-opia is a level 999 batjokes archivarius who has read damn near every comic about them there is to read. they then artfully weave all of that history into the most fucking banger fics you've ever read in your life! i'm so obsessed with how they usually include a list in the author's notes noting which comics they've referenced and where Dracze, particularly A Serious House @dracze is probably best known for Half Way Across, a direct continuation of The Killing Joke where Joker takes Batman up on his offer to try to rehabilitate him. but MY favourite Dracze fic is this 3-chapter unfinished Beauty & the Beast AU where Batman is the beast & joker is his magically-assigned fated true love 😭 i'm feral and low key have the beginnings of a fanfic for THIS fanfic in my drafts ForDarkIsTheSuede (TheBadgeringWitness), particularly Batman the Telltale Series: The Perseverance Project if you haven't played/watched a playthrough of the batman tts game, especially the enemy within which is the joker-heavy part, PLEASE do, and then PLEASE immediately log onto ao3 and read this series by @fordarkisthesuede. she picks up where the vigilante route finishes up and good god they should just let her make the next game fr. this one's a John Doe/Bruce (or "juce" if you're familiar) and trust me it's so fucking good. so so so fucking good. John Doe is high-key one of my main influences on Jax (along with The Jokester from the Countdown comic run & of course, Joker from The Lego Batman Movie), and she's absolutely fucking NAILED him here. he's so so in character that his dialogue sounds like it could have come straight from the game

Hi, I wanted ask when you write joker and Bruce relationship, will you focus on Bruce as person too because I have seen other people focus too much on his Batman part and don’t give enough love to his Bruce part.

Hi! Oh yes, for sure. I love Batman a lot, but I love Bruce even more. Sure, they are one and the same, but they are also different enough to have different impacts.

While many different scenarios are applicable, I feel like Joker is too focused on the idea that he and Batman have a hatred-based relationship. He craves the connection between them, he adores Batman, but he revels in the fact that they are bound by hate. There is an understanding, I'd argue that there is attraction and passion, but hatred fuels all of it. Joker seems content with it, to the point where he is uninterested in trying to get more, to deepen their dynamic, to access a new level of it.

Batman is rage, aggression, vengeance - there is little space for lighter, more positive feelings. Bruce, in turn, is someone softer. Kinder. He is someone who could love Joker under certain circumstances, and this is what I hope to explore when I get to writing.

As for habits, while Bruce can be as undemanding as possible, I think he does have more sophisticated tastes that he entertains when he has this opportunity. Like drinking a specific brand of expensive water, sleeping on a specific kind of linen, etc. Joker would be delighted to know :D

I won't write a long Batjokes story until I'm done with at least one of my two major WIPs, but I'll write something shorter, maybe something up to 30K words. While I have a story with them as adults in mind, I might write something smallish with them as kids, too. It'd be fun to see how a meeting between a serious kid-Bruce and obsessive, unhinged kid-Joker could go.

Oh I was hoping for this one to be asked cause now I have a legitimate excuse not to keep them to myself anymore XD

Its a bit long and well I know it said one idea but I give you three because I cant keep them to myself anymore XD

I have 3 fanfic ideas for batjokes

One being an apocalypse type thing but I started this I believe last year back in November

I usually write down a paragraph or more plus the summary so this is the summary:

Scarecrow had sprayed a deadly gas showering the city with it creating Gothamites to turn into zombies. Batman meets up with the Joker after encountering a tough spot. And they must learn how to work together in order to save the city of  its demise. But working with a clown is easier said than done.

First paragraph: Time slowed in the moment everything went to hell, the once clear sunny day in Gotham turning a cold grey as gas spread over the city like a wildfire. Consuming the lives of innocents...

Body after body falling to the ground in a heap as blood curdled screams of terror and fear seemed to echoe endlessly through the clouds of smoke, only wishing to be heard.

Within fifteen seconds the once lively city became nothing but a ghost town….

And Batman couldn’t save anyone…

The second Idea is a Collage AU Ive had this sitting since the beginning of last year where Joker and Bruce are more or less eachothers wingbuddies lol

Summary: Bruce Wayne is quite popular around campus but, for all the wrong reasons. In his eyes everyone is a villain, they just hide it well within their masks of fake. When a guy named Jack, learns the billionaires ways, he becomes intrigued and decides to cause a little bit more chaos then necessary.

First paragraph: Bruce hated lectures, he detested them so. ‘Why can’t they just leave me in peace.’ he would ponder this daily. He was thinking about it while eavesdropping on his roommate, Harvey recite his lines for he's assuming that'll arise very soon. “Listen Bruce, I’m worried about you… I will be moving in with Selina soon and frankly… I am terrified! I mean who will be here when I am gone? Dicks is in the Bahamas, Alfred’s going to Hawaii! You need to find friend’s man. Open up, live a little!” Bruce could see friend reciting it like romeo and juliet.  “Now I get you see everyone is bad but, you need to get out there and show the world just who Mr. money bags is!” Ever met someone and went ‘wow I really hate you’. That was the infamous Bruce Wayne motto, everyone wanted a piece of him.

I really had to hold back the rest I have for that xD

Another one is Phantom of the opera AU I actually started working on it I don’t have a summary for it yet lol but this is the first paragraph:

It was years ago when the tragic accident took place, Selina could still remember that day vividly as she held the familiar music box in her frail hand. “Is this it-“she choked softly fighting back the tears threatening to spill from her emerald eyes. Caressing the indents that carved a bat she smiled softly as she remembered Bruce standing on that stage, his onyx locks slicked back as he belted out the lines, his chest heaving heavily in his diamond suit as the crowd cheered. Sapphire eyes gleaming against the illuminated flames below.

XD this will be a Joker as the phantom and Bruce as Christine because of the differences they have in behavior and ways lol I actually had to buy the movie off YouTube because I needed a refresh but I started writing this one XD

I absolutely love it how Joker spends his whole career trying to dehumanize himself and convince everyone he is a monster, Bruce being there to see it all and dehumanizes Joker himself aswell, but the moment he sees the doctors talking about Joker like he is a thing he is all like "w-wait 😟🥺 why are they not seeing him as a human :(((("

Got tagged by the fabulous @distort-opia​! Picking a fifth fave fic was hard, but here's what I landed on:

- On the Mend (Free John Doe Part 1, rated Teen and Up) - Backstitch (Free John Doe Part 2, rated Explicit) I hadn't written fic for 5 years when I played Enemy Within. I started a one-shot when Episode 4 came out, but when Episode 5 emotionally crushed me, it got me thinking about the kind of life John could have had if he stayed within the bounds of the law, if he had the opportunity to actually learn how he wanted to live his life and to have Bruce be a part of it. I pictured John being the lead of a colorful variety show in some run-down club and finally getting a kiss from his beloved buddy. And I could have done it as an AU where Enemy Within didn't happen, or a flash-forward set years later, but I felt so attached to John as he is that I *really, really* wanted that scene to happen in canon, and I wanted it to feel plausible and earned. So over the next 2 years I wrote 212k words. I still need to finish editing it, but I'm pretty proud I saw it through. :)

- Another Version of the Truth (rated Teen and Up) AVotT was a way for me to skip to Bruce and John being cute as hell while plodding through OtM and Backstitch, and I'll admit I'm sometimes a little :\ that it's more popular than those two. But I get it! It's got the Pact acting more like a semi-functional family, it's got Bruce freely being fluffy as heck with John, it's got loads of silliness— uh, until it doesn't. Oh ho, it's all fun and games until the author's angst instincts kick in!

- Give and Take (rated Explicit) I'd written comicsy batjokes darkfic before and was looking for a regular old batjokes idea to take hold, and suddenly a Discord conversation about financial domination kink turned into a speedrun of classic batjokes tropes (and not so much findom). Each plot point flowed so easily into another that I cranked this out in a couple weeks. Why can't that happen more often? x_x

- A Man Possessed (rated Explicit) This is one where I happily flash-forwarded to a postcanon John who managed to get re-released from Arkham because handwavey flibbaflabbum. The idea sprouted from another Discord conversation about incorporating lexjokes into the Telltale universe, and in my head it went from jokey flirting to full relationship drama. John doesn't cheat, but he sure came close with the chemistry he turned out to have with Telltale Luthor and how much fun I was having cutting Bruce down a peg. And then there's rough semi-public make-up sex! (though I sometimes still think about a sexy angsty cheating dramafest don't judge me)

As for my WIP list... oh boy. I haven't posted links to my own darkfic (noncon, etc) on here, and none made the above list, but hey, I’ll discuss the Bad Times WIPs if anyone wants to hear about them. Although picking them out is like half lottery since the word "dark" is missing from most of them. The silliest sounding one is probably the worst!

Even after some curation, the list is still way too long.

“You… you believe me, right? Bruce?” John’s voice was hesitant, soft, as if he was testing the waters before he made the plunge.

The fear, the vulnerability in John’s voice made Bruce want to trust him, to move on and put all of this behind them, but it was those same feelings that pushed Bruce into distrust. Regardless of what John wanted him to think, he knew that John was better than this. He couldn’t believe him.

“John, these stories, they don’t add up,” he said.

John scoffed, his mouth open as he shook his head in annoyance.

“I’m not lying to you, Bruce!”

“I’m not saying you’re lying. I’m just saying that it’s strange,” he said.

I didn’t even edit this mess just take it 

Okay so let’s start with Bruce. A senior in high school, he’s 17 and already started minor batman training, but has agreed with alfred that he should finish out his education in Gotham before travelling the world to find better instructors. He’s popular but doesn’t necessarily enjoy hanging out with people. Has severe insomnia and often has nightmares. Doesn’t really care about school, but does well simply due to already trying to learn as much as possible. Generally wants to do good but feels trapped and constrained. Look at this sad baby trying to act like an adult

Joker or I guess Jack Napier since that's what we’ll be going with as his real name in this. Lol this boy’s got problems even before he;s the Joker. Does end up actually falling for Bruce though, and whoop that ends up badly. He gets real obsessive ya’ll. He’s a conflicted traumatized mess tho, so it’s not really his fault. Everything else that goes wrong is his fault. Basically as close to the bad boy stereotype in romance movies as I can get without throwing up. I secretly love cliches and no one can stop me from being self indulgent . anyway he is a senior too and he’s 18 because he would 100% be petty enough to hold that over Bruce and i want to write that so bad

Alfred is there and just i feel so bad for him. Bruce is basically his adopted son, but worries Bruce doesn’t really get that. He’s so old and doing his best. Doesn’t really want Bruce to go down the path he’s going down and because of this he tries really hard to get bruce into like anything that might get him to change which his why he’s so accepting with Jack at the beginning despite him being a literal piece of garbage 90% of the time. However he realizes how bound and determined Bruce is to change Gotham. He’s just ya know worried….and sassy.

Our main friend group includes -

Julie Madison - she’s 18 -  ambitious girl who wants to be an lawyer, very obviously likes bruce, she’s sweet and used to want to be an actor but had that dream crushed by her parents, very rule driven, hates Jack like a lot for multiple reasons, ends up dating Harvey dent

Ethan Bennett - he’s 17 - supportive friend, Bruce wayne's bff, Bruce is constantly debating telling him about how he’s leaving gotham after high school, wants to be a cop because he’s seen the importance of knowing when to be lenient (his older brother's drug addiction) and wants to help, occasionally asks Bruce to go to parties with him, is just nice? Actually has a stamp collection, played basketball with Bruce in middle school but quit when Bruce did, kind of understands why Bruce is becoming close with Jack but is kind of creeped out by him, is the one who introduced julie and Harvey

--Bruce has a lot of conflict with the fact that both of his friends want to help gotham and plan to go into actual careers to do that, but he feels as though the way gotham and the system is it wouldn’t help.

Vicki Vale - she;s 16 - wants things to be better but basically blackmails people to do it, shes not intentionally bad just doesn’t get how harmful her actions are. Eventually realises she can spread the truth in better ways

Kate Kane - Local lesbian that just wants to party before she goes into the military to please her dad. Honestly just tells bruce her goal is to fuck as many people as she can before she goes. He replies that it sounds like she’s preparing for her death and she says yeah basically - she’s 17

Harleen Quinzel - lol she’s just a side character. She’s a freshman and a cheerleader in advanced classes. Has no actual interest in Jack because he’s not actually the Joker? Like she will after he’s the joker and they meet in the future, but during the story she’s just trying to keep everything together - she’s 15

Jonathan crane - he’s 17 -  hey look it’s one of the versions where Scarecrow is a separate personality - shares an apartment with Jervis tetch and his family because he ran away from home the year prior

Jervis Tetch - look at this bab -  he’s 16 - he deserves the world.At this point his obsession with Alice in Wonderland has already started, but like it’s not too bad. He is a bit of a brat and used to getting what he wants. Thats kind of why hi’s parents agreed to let Jonathan Crane stay and not try to take him back home. UNLIKE CERTAIN GARBAGE COMICS HE’S NOT A PEDOPHILE no words describe the hatred I feel for whoever started that god awful fucking trend

Selina Kyle -  She’s 17- she’s an acquaintance of Jack’s, almost shoved him off a bridge once tho, already beginning her theif days, but she’s mostly just a pickpocket…..I had an idea of a running joke of her having like 10 sugar daddies, but i;m debating on whether or not it's true. She does immediately flirt with Bruce, though it’s originally just to tick off Jack she does steal a kiss or two from Bruce

Commissioner Gordon - still only a lieutenant when the story starts-  local officer does his best while every other cop disappoints him exceedingly and constantly - Tries to make sure Bruce is okay since he was the officer that responded first when Bruce’s parents were murdered - adores his 6 year old daughter Barbara probably others??? idk its 4 am

i have... several, actually! current main is hal/sinestro, followed very closely behind by batjokes and superbat (primarily dceu superbat). unfortunately good fics for all of these have just about dried up in the last year forcing me to write my own.

Z. how to you feel about your wip compared to other works of yours?

my two current wips are absolute monsters at over 19k and 15k words respectively, compared to most of my other stuff, the biggest published fic I have topping out at around 8k I think? on one hand im extremely proud of myself for writing that much but on the other... my god do I feel ashamed for taking as long as I am to write them. the 15k one is at least close-ish to being finished but the 19k one is bound to be. significantly longer. in both cases however I am very proud of what I have and can’t wait to finish if only so that I can hope the Reviews are worth the wait.
