Marinette walks into a room, forgets why she walked in, leaves.

Jason: Who was that???

Tim: Who was who?

Jason: That random girl in our house!

Dick: I saw her two!

Damian: You idiots don’t remember what our cousin looks like?

All three: We have a cousin???

Marinette comes back: Has anyone seen my favorite sweater, I have a date.

Despite not really knowing or remembering her, Jason and Dick: You are not going out.

Marinette: What! Why?

Jason: We don’t even know who this guy-

Marinette: girl.

Jason: This girl is!

Marinette huffs: Just think of Damian but a girl.

Tim looks at her horrified, Jason freezes in terror, Dick is trying not to think of the negatives about Damian.

Marinette: A lovely person that deserves recognition, for their dedication, and respect.

Damian: I believe Alfred is drying it currently.

Marinette thanks Damian and leaves. The others turn their heads to Bruce, who was sitting in the chair the whole time.

Bruce: Tim, I want a file on her “date” since yesterday and Dick, contact her family. I want you to find out what she likes as a bribe. Damian, I need her name so Dick can do his job.

Damian: While I am not inclined to rat out our cousin, I do like the position of power I now have. What can you offer me for my information?

Jason: For the name of our cousin, I am willing to buy you a horse farm.

Damian: Deal, her name is Marinette Dupain- Cheng.

Bruce: Dick, go now! Take the jet if you have to, hurry before it’s too late!

Dick leaves to gather bribe information.

Tim: I have gathered information! She lives in Paris!

Bruce texts Dick the information.

Damian: Anything else?

Bruce: I will dedicate a section of the research team to vegan and vegetarian dietary options for public schools.

Damian: and?

Tim: I will convert two supermarkets into animal hospitals.

Damian: and?

Jason: I will give up my favorite apartment in Spain.

Damian: Deal, her date’s name is-

A magic hole appears and hands covers his mouth. A minute passes and he’s smirking. The hole disappears and he gets up.

Bruce: Wait, Damian. You didn’t tell the name. What was that-

Damian: uh uh uh no can do father, I said it once. There is no reason for me to repeat myself, you know I hate that.

Damian leaves.

Later Damian is paid for his cooperation in holding Kawami’s and feeding them and having them in his room for the night.

Demon Twin AU

Tim Drake comes across a LOA manuscript detailing the sacrifice of a Demon Heir that’s dated around the time Damian is born and brings it to the cave. There’s no other mention of what went down, but it looks like Damian was a twin and the twin was thrown into the Lazaras Pits- Tim kind of forgets about it but shows it to Damian cause he figures that the guy deserves to know, and leaves it out for Bruce to see (basically the same thing as telling him). It doesn’t really change much but there is an obscured name in the corner so they can presume that the kid’s name would have been something starting with D A N.

Well here’s the thing: Names carry power. Damian reaches out to John Constantine to ensure that the child is actually dead, because presumably John can do that. John wants to give the kid some closure, so he does what is supposed to be a super chill seance to an infant. He pricks Robin’s finger, chants a little and the air... turns violent.

Uh oh. Dan appears, unshackled from his prison in the Infinite Realms now that John has called upon them by someone with Familial blood. He cackles madly about the fact that it’ll be a good time to bring about the apocalypse again, promising to spare the bird for now, since he would have to get answers later.

The alarms are blaring, the whole JL is hands on deck to try and stop Dan as he attacks across the globe. They’re saving as many civilian lives as possible but its getting very HAIRY in less than 2 hrs. Robin is out in the chaos, trying to track him down with John and Zatanna trying to recapture him and banish him back to the realms.

Phantom touches down just as the three of them reach Dan- Danny has some choice words for his older alternate timeline self, including “This is why you have no friends.” and “Seriously, you didn’t even stop to say hi to my timeline’s Jazz this time.” and “Soup time for 1,000 years and then we can talk remediation.”

After a short but brutal fight, Danny floats over to Damian, John and Z. After making sure they’re all right he’s like “Maybe you can never do that again? Also tell me how and why you did that so I can banish that spell?” And Damian explains that it was meant to ensure that the infant twin he never knew had passed peacefully and clearly that was not the case. Danny blinks a few times, uh, a twin?

Damian goes through the shit, John explains that it was a familial summoning meant to be an advanced seance (hence the lack of safe guards to keep the entity in) and Z confirms that there was nothing special to it beyond that.

Danny then explains, that uh, “I guess my parents weren’t kidding when they told me I was adopted. Hi? I’m your brother. Uh, I go by Danny though. Dan was me in a different timeline and he’s normally under super strict lockdown.”

Bruce Wayne runs into a ghost boy in Gotham. He does what he does best and immediately starts investigating, as best as he can without the suit and without raising suspicion about the Wayne family. Ergo, Brucie Wayne tries to keep the conversation flowing without making it seem like an interrogation. Which is.. granted it's a little hard explain why some rich guy is invested in the afterlife of a ghost. But there's hope that it could be swept under the rug as billionaire eccenticities. And the teen definitely isn't suspicious he's Batman.

Danny is suspicious about why this rich bastard is interested in him. Why another rich bastard is interested in him. But all the man's questions seemed more or less harmless. Until Danny let slip how he protected his town and the man asked who he was working with. Apparently the answer he was looking for was more "adult hero mentoring you" and less "more teenagers." He was.. not happy

Queue the line "You're not my dad."

And.. suddenly Bruce thinks he might be in some very familiar trouble. He swears he never goes out of his way looking for this. But his other kids are going to have a thing or two to say anyway

Or, Danny's suspicions turn into a self-fulfilling prophecy and Batman's adoption instincts kick in. The Brucie Wayne persona is just a hair too disarming. They both have regrets

I really just wanted the line "You're not my dad" and that just being.. an immediate trigger phrase. Bruce is instantly just like "Wanna bet?"

pretty good all things considered! while they're both married to two sweet guys and have separate families (none of their kids are other td characters, unfortunately...) they're still really close, and still live next to each other at that same beach town they grew up in, now both running that successful 80s themed ice cream business they've been dreaming of! its safe to say they probably suffered the least on Total Drama, only leaving with a couple of minor scars, good god were they lucky..

Marinette and Tim as cousins. Tim while with Young Justice goes to Paris while Marinette is Ladybug. He helps with finding Hawkmoth with his detective skills and ability to trap and manipulate his opponent. Marinette gets injured at some point and Tim runs her blood and finds out Bruce is her bio dad and his cousin (farther related than that) he tells her and reveals the secret to her, but she doesn't want to tell Bruce. Tim agrees with her because Bruce would totally take over her life and she already has a family in Paris. Also, the fact that she's magical would not go over well. Miraculous it turns out leave stains or traces the longer and more intensely you use them. Marinette has been using the lucky charm and patrolling for at least 2 years by this point and she can now use some of the magic outside the costume. This of course only applies if the kwami is a willing partner. Its one of the only ways they can effect their wielder.

So fast forward, Young Justice never told their mentors about Marinette and now they have a secret magical god (basically) as back up if they ever need it and Marinette has them all on speed dial. They have meet ups where Marinette just portals them out from where ever they where and they catch up. All of their mental health is a lot better. They keep tabs on each other but Marinette put a magical glamor on herself so anything they say about her doesn't catch anyone's attention.

On Tim's world wide search for Bruce he gets her help. The three of them (Tim, Marinette, Cassie) where already leaning on each other because Bart and Kon both died, and Marinette helps convince Cassie that Tim's right. Everything goes pretty much the same except when Tim almost dies, Marinette helps indirectly. She then binds Ra's when he tries to kill Tim. Also blows up the Lazarus pits and Ra's after he leaves Gotham. This Tim is more relaxed about the no kill rule. He doesn't kill but if his friends are certain that it's the right choice he steps aside because he trusts them. Marinette and Tim are about the same age so Marinette waits until she's past 18 with a stable income before even thinking about telling Bruce.

One way the Bats finds out she even exists is because she has to do business in Gotham. MDC's identity is no longer a secret and so people know she's in Gotham, but here no one knows that she's connected to Tim. Until Barbara can't dig anything up about Marinette. In fact, none of the Bats can get info about her and the computer crashes if you try too many times. They eventually trace the interference to Tim, right before trying for a face to face meeting with Marinette (Hint: no they didn't, Tim let them trace it because he doesn't want them to meet Marinette yet) They interrogate Tim about his interference and he tells them she's his cousin and a friend. When pressed to stop and/or give them info about Marinette he tells them to back off or else. He specifies blackmail against each of them and they realize that Tim's willing to set back his Bat relationships to protect Marinette's privacy. Eventually (after loophole shenanigans that barely don't succeed) Marinette comes to the manor and they realize that Tim trusts her. The two of them joke and laugh and Tim relaxes in her presence. The way, they see, that he no longer does with them. He's more himself, less good soldier/child and more Tim. The way he is with his friends. Marinette leaves and the Bats still don't find out anything.

The next Big Bad comes and this time it's some magical one. Constantine, Zatanna and Dr. Fate are all immobilized and taken out (maybe even sent away) and the Magical Bad is now toying with the heroes. Not killing but severely injuring whoever he hits. Captain Marvel is taken out and then RR is shouting for Superboy to find LB. Not even 20 seconds later a portal opens up and Ladybug and Superboy arrive. Marinette meanwhile has been learning All The Magic with and without the miraculous and KO's the Magical Bad. An interrogation of both Ladybug, Superboy and Red Robin after everyone is safe, is interrupted by one of the magi's exclaiming about the inferno of magical power LB has and how the fuck does RR know her?

Don't really know where to take it from here but the reveal would totally have Tim siding with Marinette (and vice versa) with Tim maybe taking a break from Gotham and the Bats. Maybe he goes on a magic adventure with Marinette, maybe they just do fun around the world travel that they couldn't before because Tim didn't want the Bats to be suspicious.

Tim would totally use the mouse to it's fullest potential. the ability to split yourself into many versions of yourself? he'd have WAY too much fun with that

Also Bruce finding out Marinette is his bio daughter cannot be dramatic. it has to be a spit take. one of them mentions it off hand like 'didn't you already know that?' maybe they even manage to convince Bruce that he already knew and forgot because of all the concussions he takes as batman.

Side Note: I haven't watched Miraculous Ladybug in a while or finished it so it might not be accurate. Also, I cannot write dialogue. Conversation cannot be written by me, and that's a fact.

My Guide To Surviving The Waynes

Pt. 1 Pt. 3

Sorry for the cutoff in my last entry, the fight between Tim and Damian travelled to the dining room and successfully spilled my cereal onto my laptop. After they were fully chewed out by Alfred, my computer was sent out to be cleaned and repaired. Unfortunately, it corrupted some of the file so I kept that little error at then end to remind myself why I cut this in two. Anyways, where was I?

Oh yes, well he led me to my room which was lightly decorated (I assume they got ideas from my mother). It was painted a light sage green and had small plants around the room giving it an earthy smell that made me feel welcome.

“I had some extra house plants that Master Bruce was gifted, and I figured you’d enjoy them,” said Alfred.

“Yeah I love them,” I said checking out the plants, making a mental note to look up the species later.

Alfred smiled and left me to unpack saying that “Dinner is at 8:00”. I unpacked my things and put everything in their perceived place. I usually would’ve procrastinated this, but the occasional yelling down the halls helped my anxiety keep me stationary.

At about 7:00 I walked downstairs towards where I thought the dining room was. What should’ve been a 2 min walk turned into 30 min as I quickly got lost. Damn my lack of a sense of direction. Once I had finally found the dining room (through smell only), I could hear a mild argument inside, and peeked in to see what was happening. I saw Mr. Wayne talking to Alfred.

“Alfred, I told you there’s far too much going on for a family dinner tonight.” Mr. Wayne said.

“Master Bruce I really think we should all meet her together,” Alfred argued,”You havent even told the others that she's staying here.”

“What I told them…” Mr. Wayne said.

“Then why was Master Duke unaware of her when she arrived?” Countered Alfred.

“Okay…. Maybe I forgot about that detail this past family meeting.” Mr. Wayne admitted pouting. “But just wait till this case is over so I can at least be coherent when we meet.”

“Very well Master Bruce,” sighed Alfred.

I saw Mr. Wayne turn to leave and quickly moved out of the door’s way. When he opened it he passed by quickly and mumbled something about Tim coming along. I guess he didn’t realize that it was me or something, anyways I entered after him greeting Alfred.

I helped Alfred with some cleaning after we ate. He was going to leave me to eat alone while he cleaned up, but I wasn’t having it and insisted that we eat and clean together. Afterwords he showed me around the house, and explained the family to me as well as the ones I’d be seeing most often. The whole trip around the house we didn’t see a single other person, even though he said there was supposedly at least four other people in the house. I guess it is really big, but it just seemed really empty. He showed me to my room and said I was down the hall from Duke and Damien if I had an emergency, though he warned me that Duke is far more amiable.

I sat on my bed going over my schedule and making sure everything was in order for my classes Monday. I also looked up the plants in my room and took some notes on how to take care of them, though I suspected Alfred would make up any slack I happen to make.

I went to bed relatively early as I was tired from my day of moving. I woke up in the middle of the night, and thought I heard something at the window when I came back from the bathroom. When I checked it, it was slightly cracked open, but there was nothing outside so….. I just went back to bed. In hindsight not my best move, but I was tired and wasn’t thinking.

The next morning I woke up fairly early due to my early bedtime (early as in 9am). I wondered around, cutting down the time to the Kitchen to 15 mins. I found some bagels and a toaster and made a couple with cream cheese. While I was in the middle of one of my bagels a guy with black hair walks in, grabs a monster, and walks out, never once acknowledging my existence. I assume he didn’t see me, but if his eyebags were any indication he was likely too sleep deprived to notice or care.

Later when I was finished, Alfred walked in and I asked about what just happened. He told me it was probably Tim and that he was notorious for staying awake for long periods of time. Also, that he was my age (19). I took a mental note while Alfred hid the remaining monsters in the fridge and switched the coffee to decaf.

After that I decided to wander around, and found what looked like Mr. Wayne’s office. I had thought about going in, but decided against it, though the clock did look weird. I guess it was just antique or something. I spent the rest of the day like this stopping only for lunch, which I made myself to Alfred’s chagrin. I eventually went back to my room to play some video games (Skyrim) and stayed up a little late. I heard some weird noises at some point but wrote it off as the house being old or my supposed housemates (who I still havent met and/or seen). This continued on for about a week till the Thursday that Gotham Schools let back in.

I was out of my room heading to the kitchen for dinner when I actually ran into someone. I looked up and it was Duke! He looked a little surprised as well before he seemed to remember who I was. We said hi and made a little small talk on the way to the kitchen. When we got there, there were two other people there. One was Mr. Wayne who immediately got up and came over to introduce himself. He explained that he was incredibly busy this past week and apologized for not welcoming me properly.

“Oh no worries Mr. Wayne, Alfred told me everything,” I said, “and don’t worry I’ll keep your secret.”

“Oh uh I don’t know what you’re talking about,” He laughed nervously.

“Riiiiiiight.” I said teasingly

“Uh look it’s not something that’ll be great for….” he started before interrupted him.

“Why wouldn’t it be good news,” I said confused.

“What do you mean,” he said also seeming confused.

“Well building a supercapaciter to help cut down on energy costs in Gotham seems like pretty good news to me” I said matter-of-factly.

“Oh yes well… I was worried about any critiques due to it still being in progress,” He said.

“Oh well I’m sure it’s nothing to worry about,” I said smiling. He looked relieved and weirdly so did the other two, like a weight had just been lifted. This supercapaciter project must be reeeeeaally top secret. He started introducing me to the other person whose name was ‘Dick’. I honestly thought he was joking till he shook my hand and sincerely said 'nice to meet you'. I just brushed it off and introduced myself.

As I talked to Dick and Duke, more people filed in and each time Mr. Wayne introduced each. Eventually, we all were seated and started eating. Dinner went well and it wasn’t too awkward, but I could tell there were things they wanted to talk about but couldn’t. As everyone was leaving I talked to Mr. Wayne and thanked him for letting me stay with him.

“Of course, and you know you can call me Bruce right?” He said.

“Oh, uh, yes sir, sorry. Just how I was raised.” I said a little embarrassed.

“You don’t have to call me sir either” He chuckled.“Yes sir,” I said out of habit. He looked a little defeated, but stopped there and let me head back to my room. It was a pretty quiet night and I got to sleep at a reasonable time. Over the next few days everyone seemed to be more relaxed around me, and went back to their usual shenanigans (according to Alfred). That leads to now, with me sitting in the Library between classes because I no longer trust the dining room or the manor library (dont ask). I’ll probably update when something interesting happens. Though I’m sure nothing too crazy could go down.

“What’cha doing over there?”

The young boy stares at her for a full minute before returning the binoculars onto his face. “Watching Batman. Do you like Batman too?”

Marinette follows his sight, where Batman is beating up a group of thugs. “Ehh, he’s okay.”

“Do you want to be Robin too?” Tim asks with wide eyes.

She throws her head back and laughs out loud. “Me? A Robin? I’ll pass on that.”

“But being Robin is cool.” Tim’s voice turns small. “He needs more Robins.”

“He already had two.”

Tim hums in contemplation, fishing out his camera and snapping multiple photos. She watches him carefully, marveling at the little innocence and curiosity he had. He doesn’t know he’ll be a corporate executive and vigilante in the future, Marinette muses.

“You like investigating, huh?” Marinette ruffles his hair. Unlike Dick, Tim doesn’t recoil or react much.

“Better than being stuck at home.” He pouts. “I can’t believe his identity was so obvious.”

Marinette giggles again. “You and me both.”

As for Damian, Marinette isn’t looking for a heartfelt reunion. No. If I visit a young Dami, he will try to kill me and that’s not really a fun conversation. Instead, she focuses on another goal: getting blackmail material.

She jumps into the room in the League base, wrinkling her nose and finds a baby Damian sitting inside a crib. She snorts out a laugh, seeing that he already has his trademark grumpy look. With one tap on her flute, she captures image after image.

“You’re so cute when you were a baby.” She gently reaches down to poke his cheek. “I’m getting these for Alfred ‘cause you don’t have baby photos.”

Damian gurgles and clutches her finger around a tight fist.

“Aww,” Marinette whispers.

“Who’s there?” The door flings open, accompanying the feminine voice yelling in Arabic. Marinette doesn’t have a chance to slip away when she comes face to face with a woman.

Talia’s expression immediately softens and she switches to English. “You did not tell me you’ll be dropping by.”

Marinette mentally wipes off her cold sweat. “Sorry, mama.”

“What are you doing with your brother?”

The fox-rabbit heroine glides over to Talia to give her a tight hug. “Collecting pictures. Y’know, just to mess with him.” She smiles. “You never took baby pictures.”

“No, I haven’t,” Talia sighs. “However, I do remember having a portrait of him painted. Do you want to see it?”

Baby Damian suddenly coos, earning their attention. Talia scoops him up and hands him over to Marinette. Her fingers tremble slightly as she hefts her brother in her arms. Damian doesn’t shy away; he snuggles deep into her embrace.

“Smile, Dami!” Marinette uses her flute to take a selfie of them both.

Damian being Bruce's (and also Talia's) snotty little nephew has officially taken over my brain, I'm sorry but something just seems funnier about the idea that Talia decides to send Damian to Bruce because Bruce is the cousin of her brother's wife's late brother and she cannot deal with the child herself so she decides to send him off to a distant relative.

And Damian is the only other Wayne in existence.

I don't know WHY but this idea is weirdly enjoyable for me
