Really my only beef about ‘We Take a Zebra to Vegas’ was the lack of zebra. Like, that it literally the scene where Percy discovers he can talk to horses! Even a cameo! Otherwise the title dormant even make sense. :(((

strangely devoted flying horse who can talk

and an odd assortment of people:

his mama

immortal lesbian who was a tree for a few years

scary buff girl who bullied him a little

autistic kid who radiates death and had a crush on him

nicest demigod ever whom he had a crush on before he... died

allegedly normal girl who now randomly tells the future

autistic girl who tried her absolute hardest to hate him then promptly fell in love with him. now they're soulmates

im so excited about pjo season 2 but the main reason for that is literally tyson. i cannot WAIT to watch the "he sent you to help me. just what i sked for." "you asked poseidon for... me?" "for a friend" scene and make it my personality for the next year until the weird ocean cow thing makes an appearance with more blackjack screen time

Literally my ONLY critique of the third episode is that Percy didn’t notice the horses voice in his head and go “wtf.” Hopefully when he meets the zebra later on he mentions it and is like “yeah I could hear some of the pegasi at camp, too. Kinda weird, right?” Because actually it’s so canon that when Percy finds out he has a power, he doesn’t broadcast it. Instead, he’s just like “oh. Cool. Interesting.” and goes on with his life. Like, the other characters only find out about his powers if they see him use them, or they bring it up to him, or they hear about it from someone else.
