In Knives Out Blanc wanted to do the murder mystery investigation with Marta so bad, but she was certain she was guilty so she spent a good amount of the movie avoiding/hiding stuff from him
Meanwhile in Glass Onion Helen was fucking carrying the investigation, even while accidentally getting drunk, and even went to investigation lengths Blanc was hesitant to do
rian johnson took all that time, put in all that effort to make glass onion a fantastic period piece to the first four months of pandemic, a prescient narrative that anticipates the stupidity of rich billionaires, and then pulled the rug from under us because the world of benoit blanc just straight up doesn't have the mona lisa anymore
Obsessed with how Glass Onion broke down character personality through masks right at the beginning. Birdy is the most obvious with her stupid, frivolous, and deeply insensitive mask that lines up with everything we before and after. Duke of course has no mask at all. Lionel not only has a mask, but it seems to be high quality. He knows the risk but ultimately is still with a dangerous and highly risky crowd. Claire has what looks like a sensible mask, but doesn't apply it properly, with having stuff stick out of it and it failing to cover her nose. And Blanc is the only character to put his mask back on after the injection. This fucking movie guys I'm losing my mind
The only acceptable way that Philip and Benoit could've met and fall in love is by Philip being the prime suspect in a brutal murder case and Benoit is attempting to convince himself that 'this fine asf man with the personality of a golden retriever could not possibly be the murderer' whilst stacks of evidence builds against Philip, thus leading Benoit to slowly doubt his guts as well as Philip's innocence but by the end Benoit solves it and it was the actual killer trying to frame Philip or smt idk he's just innocent tho
i noticed my mlb costume redesigns were getting attention so i decided to make a post with all of them together. there are a few that i started working on but didn’t get around to finish (tigress, pigella). hopefully someday!
Hey um remember that one "heres some concepts for a comic series i would like to make" well i thought to myself "why dont i remake it with some of my newer hcs and other bef members?" And uh.
It might got a bit out of hand...
Heres the cropped ver!
I had some ideas of what the story could be, i really want to go deeper with this concept and if i dont manage to make it a comic at LEAST i try to make it as a fanfic
The incredibly ironic part of the “That wasn’t actually the Mona Lisa they burnt! They burnt a canvas!” argument is that we all just took the word of the initial poster that they did, in fact, show a canvas burning. So I went back and watched the film and it QUITE SIMPLY IS NOT TRUE! WHEN THEY SHOW IT BURNING THEY LITERALLY SHOW LAYERS OF OIL PAINT PEELING UP TO REVEAL CHARRED WOOD BENEATH.
It is such a simple solution that literally fucking mirrors the events of the movie. I cannot believe we all fell for this. Case closed. Discourse imitates the art it’s discoursing.
This detective is extremely distressed by the murder's dumb methodology! He needs an enriching case perpetrated by someone smart who understands the capabilities and needs of a detective of his intelligence level!
