AO3 Etiquette -UPDATED
Based on both decent and not so decent replies, I have made some changes to my original post below.
It would seem a whole new kind of AO3 reader/writer is emerging and it is becoming clear not everyone quite understands how the website community works. Here is some basic guidance on how most people expect you to go about using AO3 to keep this a fun community archive that funtions correctly:
As well as likes, kudos is for when the story was interesting enough to make you finish reading. If it sucked or was badly written, you probably left. If you finished it, you liked it - so kudos.
If you really liked it, you should try to comment. It can be long and detailed or a literal keysmash. Writers don't care, we just love comments.
No critisism unless the author has specifically asked or agreed to hear it (so use your notes to say if you want some constructive feedback). Even constructive critisism is a no-no unless an author note tells you it's okay. No, posting it online is not an open invitation for that. Many people write as a fun hobby or a way to cope with, among other things, insecurity and just want to share. Don't ruin that for them. I've seen so many authors just stop writing coz they can't handle the negative emotions the critism brings, and it's only meant to be a fun thing shared for free (pointing out tagging errors is not included in this).
Do not comment to ask the author to write/update something else. It's tacky and off-putting and will probably have the opposite effect than the one you want.
There is no algorithm, it's an archive. Use the search and filter function to add/remove the pairings/characters/tropes etc. you want to read about and it will find you the fics that fit the bill.
For this to work, writers must tag and rate stories. This avoids readers finding the wrong things and missing the stuff they want. I don't care how cringy that trope is in your eyes - it gets tagged.
The tag exception is if you don't want to tag a million things or spoil your story, you can rate it as "chose not to use warnings," and maybe tag the bare minimum.
Don't censor tags. How can someone exclude a tag if the word isn't typed out correctly? There are no content bans for terms so don't censor them.
If the tags are mostly content/trigger warnings, especially if they are things considered very fucked up or graphic, you might want to use "dead dove - do not eat" to ensure people know that you're not messing around with tags and what they get is exactly what you've warned them about.
Character A/Character B means a ROMANTIC or SEXUAL relationship of some kind. Character A&Character B is PLATONIC, like friendship or family.
Nothing is banned. This is an rule because banning one thing is a slipperly slope to banning another and another, until nothing is allowed anymore. Do not expect anyone to censor for you. Because of the tags system, you are responsible for your own reading experience.
People can create new chapters and sequels/fic series any time after they "complete" a story. So it's considered perfectly normal to subscribe, even to a finished story. You can even subscribe to the author instead just to cover your bases.
Do not repost stories or change the publishing date without an extremely good reason (like a complete top to bottom rewrite or an exchange youve written for going public). It's an archive, not social media. No one cares what's the most recent, only what fits their tag needs.
Instead of deleting a story you wrote if you hate it - consider making it anonymous or orphaning it so others can still enjoy it, without it being connected to your name anymore. If you still want to delete it, fair enough.
It's come to my attention that metaworks ARE allowed on AO3, which is something I wasn't aware of. So if you do post an essay or theory, please tag it as such so others can choose to search for it or exclude it. Art is also allowed.
The only reason this archive works is because NON ONE PROFITS. Do not link to your ko-fi or patreon or mention monetary gain in any way or you violate the terms and risk having your account removed. If anyone does link, it leaves the archive open to people claiming it's for profit and having the whole thing removed.
I KNOW there's plenty more I missed but I'm trying to cover most of the basics that people seem to be struggling with.
I invite anyone to add to this, but please explain, don't berate.

People who are saying "you can't criticize Horikoshi, it's his story and he can do whatever he wants", etc. Yeah, it's his story but he's made it public so I can do whatever I want and if I want to be a bitch and I call hi, mediocre I’ll do it. Like I love Naruto with all my heart and I have defended Kishimoto over certain criticisms in relation to female characters, etc. I have also criticized him for the absolute shit that Boruto is, even considering that as a manga Boruto isn’t 100% his work considering that at the beginning he was involved in the movie but on the manga he was only a supervisor. What I'm trying to get It’s that if you believe that just because a mangaka creates a story it should be free from criticism then you aren’t ready to get involved with any type of media or sincerely the public believes that consuming a movie, book, etc. means being a passive subject without critical thinking.
That being said, Horikoshi largely deserves as much criticism as he can get because these chapters were truly a shit show since this last arc began. Let's just start listing first, AFO vs Endeavor and every hero in existence was too long and repeated for a large number of chapters the formula "villain takes the advantage, heroes take the advantage, the villain takes the advantage again and finally wins and move on to something else", all of this perhaps understandable to give some prominence to characters who were forgotten for entire arcs.
Shouto and his arc plus his relationship with Dabi, Shouto had a very interesting arc and incredibly much material to exploit but his arc and his relationship with Dabi never managed to take off because he was so tied to Endeavor that the interactions between them felt empty.
Ochako and Toga were honestly the only thing that was worth it, you could see the commitment to giving them both a great moment and the way she wanted to approach Toga and truly have a conversation. The only thing I can criticize about their ending is that obviously there is no completely satisfactory closure in giving Toga an answer to what happens next, apart from Ochako's offer of understanding, there is no easy way out of what the other heroes will do, therefore which I can’t criticize her for not giving an answer to a complicated situation in this way.
Also Horikoshi added things to his story that in the end he didn’t finish closing or that surely even if he touched them again it would no longer make sense, what happened to Spinner? What happened to everything about heteromorphic discrimination? I have to believe that everything is fixed by the good heart of Shoji telling Spinner that his way of doing things only makes the "achievements" of equality go backwards by giving them a bad image. In other words, we know that quirk society is discriminatory, especially in less urbanized towns, that those heteromorphs who reach places of power are the least and no real change has been achieved, but of course the victims of discrimination have to keep quiet and be good. So, maybe in the future they will no longer be discriminated. I'm going to be fair here, touching on issues like discrimination is complex, but putting an idea like this in the manga and then going for a simplistic or rather completely ignored resolution, because while a person may not share Spinner's actions, it’s understandable why he does it and simply saying that you have to be better because then people will see that you are good and not discriminate against you is stupid, Horikoshi covered a topic that he honestly didn’t know how to deal with or wasn’t interested in doing so.
Kurogiri/Shirakumo being just a plot device for Aizawa and being resolved in 5 panels, I'm going to be understanding and say that this arc had the least to explore, but in the end it was meh. Tbh I'm not going to criticize this because it is so empty of content that it is no longer worth criticizing it.
About Tomura and Izuku, the truth is what can I say the most that I haven't said in previous posts? from all the fights or confrontations it’s the most ignored, neglected and rushed of all, we don't know anything about them other than loose panels for a whole year, they barely interact and now Tomura dies, Izuku is "well, I honestly don't give a damn and I want you dead", if no one who has followed these two characters realizes the damage that this chapter has done to their conclusions then I'm not going to explain it. If Horikoshi felt incapable or was tired of his story he could have ended it with something else, however perhaps this was always the plan, we are talking about a guy who said that the second movie was the end of his manga, that is Midoriya without quirk giving it to his childhood bully. It's obvious that he doesn't care about Izuku as a character and I think he did care about Tomura but he didn't know what to do with him, which is why we have this ending.
Final note for any comments I may surely receive for calling bk a childhood bully. Don't waste your time replying, commenting or trying to argue, Horikoshi took it upon himself to make bk a gary stu who never faces real consequences for his actions (dying is not a sign of karma) and his abuse is never treated seriously by the author, because his victim never reflects on himself, which is ironic considering how many BK fans recognize that Midoriya has self-esteem problems, contempt, and poor self-care but do not recognize BK's role in this or minimize it.

how is wonyoung perceived by fellow idols, female and male??
wonyoung's reputation among idols
based on tarot. i do not know these idols personally. energies are always changing. what i say is NOT straight fact. pls take it with a grain of salt!
Tumblr media
female idols 4ofc, hangmrx, aceofc, moon, devil&10ofc, 10ofp
+ they perceive her as someone with very unbothered and peaceful energy. she's very drama-free in their eyes, you rarely catch her engage in fights or create conflicts. and although there is this sense of unapproachableness to her, ("should i go up to her? i don't know, i don't wanna bother her.." type of way) once you do talk to her, she has this very naturally nice and agreeable vibe to her. it's giving everybody's darling, wonyoung is known as the girl you just can't help but like. if you dislike her, there must be something wrong with you in their eyes.
so naturally, wonyoung has a lot of girls jealous of her. they see her as this "perfect" female idol who just has it all, and it spites them. i literally can hear them say "how can she even be like that? does she ever mess up? 🙄 " like it's annoying for someone to embody everything they wish they were, whether that's appearance-wise or career-wise, with her being the it girl of the 4th generation. i'm not exaggerating and saying it as it is, like the devil card is no joke when it comes to jealousy and envy. remember jyp saying that wonyoung was the perfect idol in every way? many female idols will agree with that statement, and it clearly frustrates them. she's the pretty and popular girl who everyone wants to hate for the sake of it, but you literally can't since she's an actual sweetheart. that's the energy i got very clearly. - she's very inflexible and stubborn in their eyes. like she's just doing her own thing, doesn't care about your stance or view on things at all, in fact doesn't even consider it. even if you present your take on something to her, she'll probably smile at you and politely decline your opinion, no matter how wrong she might be. it's this feeling of never really being able to get close to her, just very unapproachable and stuck in her ways, which can give off an arrogant or "know-it-all" vibe.
the moon card is also telling me, that there is this overly mysterious energy to her, where they just can't figure her out in any way. it's like they believe there must be so much hidden behind this mask of perfection that she puts on, but it's very difficult to actually decipher what that is. wonyoung seems to be a very private person behind the scenes as well, and doesn't like revealing much of her private life in general. she gives off this vibe of having a lot of secrets and being very uptight and overly careful about sharing things about herself. as if she doesn't really trust people, even within the industry.
male idols hermit, queofsw, 7ofw, 9ofp, kingofc+2ofc&lovers
+ male idols perceive wonyoung as a very independent, confident and self-sufficient woman. she not only seems very comfortable and content in her own skin, but has also evidently come to a place of financial success and stability through her very own efforts, which they respect a lot. there's just this vibe that she doesn't need anyone else in order to feel happy, and they're in awe of her self-reliance. i'm gonna be honest, i'm getting the feeling that many of these men still get surprised when they see a woman make it on her own, which is crazy to say the least. i can see them being all 😮 about a woman being able to get to such a high place without being in need of any man, and it's honestly baffling how ancient some of their mindsets still seem to be. (not surprising considering all the internalized misogyny still going on in south korea)
i'm also getting a lot of respect for her resilience when it comes to dealing with obstacles, especially things like hate-trains. they believe it's incredible for her to remain so strong and unmoving after being confronted with so much negativity.
wonyoung is very desired as well, the female idol that every korean man would mention as their idol type. a lot of them would love to be with her, but are aware it's difficult since she's extremely closed off, and not easy to get close to. she also exactly knows what she wants and is a smart and professional girl in their eyes, which intimidates many of them to an extent. there seems to be some male idol, perhaps a water sign, whom she had a close relationship with. i can sense a lot of jealousy surrounding him.
- she's too much of a loner and "buzzkill" in their eyes. in similar fashion to the female idols, many male idols seem to view her as someone who doesn't really know how to let lose and have fun, and is just way too uptight. one aspect they definitely share, is that both male and female idols just struggle approaching her in a comfortable manner since she always seems to be so lost in her own world. although she isn't necessarily unfriendly, she just isn't the type to care about socializing much and someone who prefers keeping to herself, which makes her very guarded in their eyes.

Just to throw in a couple points real quick (because I can never keep an opinion to myself 😔 sorry), I personally kind of dislike the idea of a male and female gaze — not because I disagree with the concept of fetishism and objectification existing, they ABSOLUTELY do, but because of what people, particularly online, have come to accept they mean.
There has recently been discourse surrounding Love Lies Bleeding, a film created almost solely by queer women, “catering to the male gaze” which… I’m sure I don’t need to explain how silly that is lmao. I think this new wave of leftists clutching their pearls over literally any sign of sexual attraction and considering it to be synonymous with objectification has distorted people’s views of what these terms actually mean and have resulted in their gross misuse. Not to make this about me 💅🏻 but I see a lot of this similar discourse about trans people BY CIS PEOPLE whom are trying to be good allies by basically claiming that any sign of sexual attraction towards a trans person’s body is inherently fetishistic which I can’t lie… I kind of consider to be transphobic itself lol? You’re allowed to be sexually attracted to trans people and express that, no matter how their bodies look! The point at which it becomes fetishistic relies primarily on the WAY you express that and the language used — and I think that can apply to queer people in general too. I personally (and others may feel differently!) have zero issue with cis people enjoying trans NSFW content, and I also have no problem with straight women enjoying MLM content; because most of the time, I can tell from the LANGUAGE they use whether or not they are fetishising.
Point being, fetishism and objectification can go ALL ways and I don’t think people need to give excuses as to why they enjoy a certain type of content as long as it isn’t actively harming anyone. But I obviously can’t speak for everyone (especially queer women, I only identified as one for a year or two when I was a preteen lol) and people’s experiences tend to shape their opinions on these things 😅
Right and that's why I firmly stand behind my initial post about how it's no one's job to police people for what kind of content they consume! Because we don't know their motivations for how ot why they personally are interacting/consuming the work. It's incredibly easy to write off all enjoyment of a specific brand of content as fetishizing or sexualization when in reality, for the consumer it isn't that at all. My only point on the last ask was that sometimes, sometimes, it's easy to actually be doing exactly that (fetishizing etc) and not realizing it.
Intentions matter absolutely, but they're not the be-all-end-all of reality. It's like if I as a white person were to say something racist without realizing it was racist. That doesn't negate the racism, and it doesn't absolve me of my culpability, because my ignorance to my actions doesn't supercede my impact. You can be guilty of something without knowing that you are, and that's something you as person have to evaluate and confront on a personal basis. That was my only point in relation to what that anon said.
Again to reiterate, that is NOT saying that everyone who prefers queer work to straight work is guilty of that, because they're not. Full stop. And that alone is why I don't think anyone has or should have the authority to pass judgment on who can and can't consume certain kinds of media. Because, like you said, then you start wading into the murky waters of painting everyone with a broad brush, throwing accusations around that are universally damning despite not actually being universally true. And considering we're living in a period where puritan anti-sex brainrot is on the rise (alongside a deeply unsettling culture of condemnation over every little thing), opening that door can become very dangerous very fast. We're seeing it already.
I will tack on just as a thought regarding the trans character issue, I think that's kind of a perfect example of all these ideas aligning. Just in the most bare bones way of putting it: there is nothing inherently fetishizing about a cis person enjoying work including trans characters. There's nothing inherently fetishizing about a cis person enjoying, specifically, smut involving trans characters. There is nothing inherently fetishizing about a cis person preferring trans character stories over other kinds of media. However, if all they as a cis person consume is extremely sexualized renditions of trans characters, if their only interest in trans characters is porn - generally mostly devoid of complex storylines that create a fully rounded character -, then yeah I do think that's something they on an individual basis need to evaluate about themselves, because it's the difference between having a sexual attraction to a subsection of people versus seeing those same people as purely sexual objects. Does that make sense?
Same can be true for any other queer content being consumed by people that aren't historically the target audience.
But again, it's not really anyone else's place to make that call for anyone else.

Hot Take
This will be my only post about problematic proship discourse, but I heard an argument for it, and I can't quite keep my mouth shut. Note that this post is referring specifically to problematic content, as proship can be defined quite widely. This includes content with minors, incest, assault, non-con, etc. TW ahead.
In regards to problematic proship content, I heard from someone that their friend, who has been working through some serious stuff in therapy, argued that it's important for non-creative people to still have access to problematic proship content for their own healing.
I would like to ask why and how it's helpful to consume that media, and in what way they find it "healing".
As someone who spent a very long time consuming and creating what would be considered proship content, I can tell you from experience, you're not healing.
When my therapist told me to write to help process some of my experiences, they told me to change the outcome, take control through the stories and explore my feelings on page.
Write it down, don't hold back, cry it out, change the story.
Of the problematic stuff I've seen from others (and in the case of some of my own content), it's either non-con in a consumer-pleasure way, with an additional problematic twist in age or relationship, or it's “consensual” with those twists, painting a happy face on a horrifying situation-- a situation that is impossible for someone to consent to.
If you're finding pleasure in that, or getting off to it, this post is DEFINITELY for you.
Like, genuinely, if I cut out some of the more messed up stuff, I might consider posting my new writing, but people looking to consume problematic proship media aren't going to enjoy my stuff. It's not what they're looking for, because they're not looking to actually heal or find solace in it.
They're not looking for metaphors.
We all know what they're actually looking for. I don't need to say it.
And no consumer would enjoy my new writing because it's literally horrifying to read the terrified thoughts of a 5 year old, or to read about my thoughts of anger and disgust during my violent SA. Healing content? Especially content that heavy? It typically isn’t for consumption.
THE THING IS.
Non creative people have access to other types of media to help-- bibliographies of people who survived and how they handled it, for example. Stories of people realizing they were problematic and how they bettered themselves.
Here's an idea.
Read a self help book instead of proship content.
Or get therapy, FFS.
If you're writing that content and posting it publicly, you're not doing it to heal or better yourself. You're doing it because you enjoy it. Don't lie. It’s an urge that a lot of survivors can get to reconcile and justify what they went through. I get it, and it should be safe to talk about that.
But it isn’t healthy.
Maybe get therapy and keep a journal through that instead. Even write a self-help book and put something good into the world.
Normalizing what you're going through, or have gone through, by creating and consuming public media that depicts proship content in a way that gives you pleasure (especially sexually) is not healing. Learning to get off to or enjoy something doesn't make what you experienced normal. You're just tricking yourself and continuing the cycle of abuse, because you become blind to the problem, you dull red flags, you risk falling into abuse again, and you risk turning a blind eye to others being abused as well.
This argument comes off like NOMAPs who claim they need the media in order not to offend. Bullshit. It doesn’t track there and it won’t track here. Get help.
And no, media doesn't count as help.

Aight, what you see above is an article that's getting passed around by proshippers. I'm making my own post separate from theirs to discuss the contents of this article and why I believe everyone *should* read it, while also I don't believe the article is correct.
The article was written by a Japanese artist who had been harassed for "proshipping" online, even though they themself did not partake in anything more than aging up 15-year-old characters to 19. As far as they claim, that was it (though the artwork itself is not provided).
Someone had DMed them, asking if they were a proshipper, or a "problematic shipper", to which they shrugged and went "I guess so?" and then that person-referred to as A- started spreading it to all their friends that A was a proshipper and to avoid them, leading to soft blocks, harassment, ect.
Something I'd like to point out that is correct about this article is the meaning of "proshipper." It doesn't mean "problematic ships." Instead, "pro" is the prefix, not an abbreviation. The meaning is in reference to someone who is unbothered by any specific type of ship, and/or supports the creation of problematic ships. This difference is, I feel, important, not because the definition is changed, but because how people view that definition changes substantially.
Keep that in mind.
Something else of note here is the cultural difference. The artist is from Japan, and according to them, Japan allows ships of any kind. Japan, as a country, is proship, which creates vast and varied artistic expressions. Any and everything is allowed.
And, according to worldpopulationreview.com, the age of consent in Japan is 13 (though articles are saying they're rethinking this law).
Again, I recommend reading the article for yourself to fully understand the artist's point of view, but I'd like to break down where the author was wrong about many things. A lot of them stem from cultural differences and are normalized, so you can't really blame them, but it's good to keep in mind when interacting with proshippers from all over the world.
Something they're right about is harassment. I don't think people should be being harassed for stuff like this. Blocked? Yes.
The first thing they got wrong was the general assumption that fiction doesn't affect reality, or that antis cannot tell the difference between fiction and reality. This (at least for a lot of us) isn't true. Using myself as an example, it's clear to me that fiction and reality are two different worlds.
However, to say that fiction doesn't affect reality is false. Both worlds influence each other. If an adult starts dating a 13-year-old in fiction, younger audience members who watch that will see that relationship play out. Depending on how it's portrayed, this can either help or harm that audience member. If this relationship is deemed bad in that piece of media, then the younger members of that audience will remember that, vs if they say it's okay, THAT'S where you've crossed into proship territory that is actively harmful towards your audience.
I am a firm believer that anything should be allowed in fiction, as long as the author is respectful, responsible, and considers the ramifications of their work towards a real audience. So like, having a relationship between a 19-year-old and a 13-year-old should be allowed to be portrayed, as long as it isn't positive. By not allowing these stories to be told at all, that's leaning into some book burning shit.
What the author did, aging up 15-year-olds to 19, is not inherently bad, especially since they say it wasn't sexual in nature (but again, the art itself is never presented).
The second thing they get wrong is calling us a minority. I don't believe there were any studies done on this, but I don't think the majority of Americans go around talking about shipping children with adults? Again, it's a cultural difference that was influenced on this specific artist BY other proshippers. It's a biased view from both sides. I do not believe any studies have officially been done on this subject, so you cannot call us a minority. But, we can't call you a minority, either. I'm not sure how many there are on either side.
But also, I don't think that really matters. Continuing my topic from before with fiction affecting reality, if someone in that audience can get hurt because of your story, then it doesn't matter if the majority don't. It's still harmful and can affect reality- THIS reality- in negative ways. By drawing proship art and saying it doesn't matter because it's fiction, you're helping to normalize this art for ACTUAL predators. It doesn't matter how many proshippers there are, this is STILL harmful.
Something else I noticed, but I cannot point specifically to this article as evidence for, but it may be influencing the author, is the idea of in-fandom vs outside-fandom. The author mentions this a couple times, though usually in reference to the cultural differences between Japan and America.
The author is outside the US fandom, and so doesn't fully understand its inner workings or why so many of us are anti-proship "purest"s. I don't know how else to explain this besides going up to your grandparents and asking them if they think proshipping is okay.
Upon hearing the actual definition- being unbothered or perpetuating any type of relationship between two or more characters in fiction- they might go "yeah I agree with that," because that does sound nice on paper. Freedom of expression.
But what antis have come to realize is that fiction DOES affect reality, and if you were to ask your grandparents if they thing a child should be in a relationship with an adult, they'd probably go "no."
This is purely because they don't understand the culture of being online, and the several, several subcultures that came to be. We know what proshippers are and what they represent, but someone outside fandom space wouldn't.
And now, to any proshippers reading this: first of all, thank you for hearing me out, lol. But then, I ask you to please re-evaluate why you're a proshipper. Is it for the freedom of expression idea, do you just not give a shit, or do you genuinely enjoy seeing kids and adults together? Maybe something else? I'm not going to tell you how to feel about that- you can come to your own conclusion- but I do ask that you re-examine that idea.
If the author is SOMEHOW reading this, first of all, thank you too. My goal here was not to harass you in any way, but to point out the core of why this article doesn't really work. I'm sure in Japan things are vastly different, and that's not your fault, OP. And although I don't stand by what A did to you, I do ask that you think again. Stuff like this does affect reality, even in small ways (but when it comes to p*dos, it can be FAR more harmful than good).
Proshippers help normalize unhealthy behaviors that can seriously hurt children for the rest of their lives. Do proships exist in reality? ...Yes. Not between fictional characters, but those characters can influence people in real life to go "oh yeah the incest ship was okay in this anime, which means it's fine if I'm like that, too." It's not fine. It's not okay.
Again, I'm not here to harass you, and ultimately it's up to you whether you choose to listen. I'm sorry for the harassment at all, that should not have occurred.
Back to my general audience, though, yeah. Again, read the article for yourself (which I do still highly recommend). It gives a good glimpse into the minds and ideas of some proshippers out there. I don't think OP is a bad person, just misinformed. And I believe the same of a lot of proshippers out there. We can't change their minds, but we can make sure misinfo like what is in the article is debunked, and spread correct information regarding the subject.

Again, read the article, do some thinking (on BOTH sides), and have a good one, guys.

Emotional Ambivalence
I once read a quote stating; "stop making an aesthetic out of not doing well"
It hit me hard like a boulder for some reason as I had not realised that is exactly what I have been doing.
The thing about depression it creeps onto you.
You can never just wake up one day and say you caught depression like it's a common cold.
It takes countless numb days, countless people asking you if you are okay numerous times for countless weeks, months or years, waking up angry, numb or sad it takes the days merging together to one big blurry long loop, before you finally ask yourself, "am I okay?"
Depression is a big word. People will throw it around to describe countless things.
"the weather is depressing today"
"maths class makes me so depressed"
"my grades were depressing to look out"
Yet when it comes to actually diagnosing yourself, your mind never even considers it.
There's no way I'm depressed, you will tell yourself. Depression is often depicted in the media at an extreme scale to which you have often not reached. You'll tell yourself you're not actually depressed as your life doesn't physically look in shambles.
The media often depicts, diagnosing yourself with depression is just another way to seek attention; that you should always go to a specialist. But who would go as far as to seek a speacialist if they don't even consider themselves depressed.
Cause if it's not depression then what am I? Just sad? My mind always just thought maybe life is just too boring for me? I look at people radiating sunshine and happiness and I always wonder how? How can there be a smile on your face everyday? Are we not living the same monotonous days? Is there something I am not seeing? I look at people genuinely celebrating or dancing at events or parties? And all I can wonder is how? How can these genuine emotions flow through you? How can you, when I even consider trying it feels fake, uncomfortable, like I'm trying to fit into a mold that was never created for me in the first place.
Although numbness seems to consume my mind 24/7 there are rare periods of time where I am just content (or as happy as I can get), where my state of sadness, self hate and being numb seems to completely disappear. I treasure these moments; as the saying goes you never really appricaate anything untill it's taken away from you, and being constantly just sad, makes you really grasp onto any shred of happiness you can get.
But of course these periods of happiness never last, you can feel it slip alway from your grasp, just before your mind goes to this extended period of pure numbness. This is the calm before the storm. This period of numbness is your mind is constantly taunting you as it blocks out any feeling or emotion you have almost like it puts up a wall, a wall that prevents you from reacting to things, feeling happiness and worst of all feeling sadness. Yet it doesn't block out any other negative thing, such as your feelings of extreme self hate, the self criticising, the feeling inferior to others, but it's alright since you lack the emotions to actually feel all this negativity - Sadness.
Now you are forced to choose. You are hanging onto the edge of a cliff. Will I keep holding on or will I let go and ungrasp, finally submerging myself the familiarity that awaits me below.
Of course I choose to plummet, cause if I can't feel anything at all, I'd rather pick an emotion I'm very familiar with, a feeling very raw I know inside out, a feeling that eats me alive as well as feeds my soul. I'd rather feel deeply than nothing at all.
It's sad isn't it? Not knowing whether or not if you have or even if you'll ever experience true happiness, To the point where you'll take media depicting sadness as an aesthetic, depicting feeling hollow, people draining you and your connections with people fading as an aesthetic. However, no matter how hard you criticise these types of media, you still find some sort of comfort in them, some sort of solace that you're not alone, after all despite resenting it for taking over your life, for lingering, for taking away your happiness, for leaving its claw marks on you. sadness has become the entity you're most familiar with, it has become a guardian angel that has trapped you within its wings. Sadness has become your friend.

My thoughts on Shang Simla
Thanks @thebleedingwoodland for tagging me in their posts here and here. Unfortunately I don't have much time atm, probably can't contribute much to the discussion. I'll try my best to explain my thoughts in the easiest and quickest way.
First, I never held much expectation for EA. Shang Simla is more like a friendly gesture to include Asian/Oriental cultures into Sims3 world. However, I never regard Shang Simla as a Chinese world, let alone any specific period. The minute I saw the torii ⛩️ とりい icon, as a Taiwanese visiting Japan many times, I knew Shang Simla would be a hybrid of most ancient (North East) Asian cultures even before sending my sims there. However, I don't think people back in 2009 had such high awareness or recognition for other cultures as we do today. They simply projected their impressions for the eastern world onto Shang Simla. So I would rather take this as a chance to introduce the right knowledge to simmers from other parts of the world.
What EA tried to present in Shang Simla is an ancient world, so honestly I don't blame them to provide the braid hairstyle from Qing dynasty. Yes, it is a symbol of repression, but it is also a historical fact. That's what people during that period of time would look like.
As for the outfit, honestly I think it's too much to ask, considering its 4000 year-long history and all the complicated details.
Tumblr media
Yep, and that just covers the most basic types, there are numerous variations based on the occasion/age/social status/occupation...etc.
If you're wondering where those fancy outfits you saw on TV drama or games are, I would say they belong to the fantasy genre, like:
Tumblr media
Note: for illustration only.
If you want to create a sims3 story with solid historical background, not fantasy or fictional, DON'T use these sources as your reference. Try googling artworks from that period, or related historical drama, those authentic ones.
Also, it's really important to notice the difference between Hanfu 漢服, Wafuku わふく and Hanbok한복. I'm no expert at these fields so I would only provide here the most basic types to give you a rough idea:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Ts3 CC creators I recommend include but not limit to:
Chinese: M&T 模拟人生单纯蛋糕店(M&T SimsCakeStore)/ 清霜童子@qingshuangtongzi
Japanese: kewai-dou / @m0m0-ka / @murfeelee / noiranddarksims
Korean: @amethyst-sims / ghostsyj
As for the martial arts outfit, the difference lies more on the sport events than nationality since there are corresponding uniforms now. For instance:
top to bottom: Judo柔道 / Karate空手道 / Taekwondo 태권도 / Tai Chi 太極 / Kung fu 功夫裝
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course, the sleeve-less kungfu clothes EA provided is a big no-no, a modernized version apparently.
Tumblr media
Last but not least, during the ancient period, Chinese culture had great influence over the neighboring countries including Korea and Japan. That's why you may find it very difficult to tell which from which sometimes. Hope the illustrations above can help.
To be honest, I rarely let my sims visit Shang Simla. It's a weird world to me. Too much nonsense I'm afraid. Most of the time, I tend to build my own version, with specific period and custom content to make it more authentic and realistic.
Oh and DRAGON! Almost forgot. I think this is simply because THERE ARE TWO KINDS of DRAGON. One spits fire while the other controls the rain, basically two different species I believe :D
Western dragon VS Eastern dragon
Tumblr media
Gonna stop right here before making this post too long to read. Let me know if there's any questions. 😘💜
*Correction- Shang Simla is supposed to be a modern Chinese world, not an ancient one as I previously thought. I don't think of it as a modern world probably because, as we all know, modern life for Chinese people are not that different from the western one. In fact, Shang Simla should look much more westernized/modernized to reflect reality, even for a rural area. Besides, in the modern times only farmers wear bamboo hats. I can tell which hanfu style implies which period easily but I just can't really identify what period Shang Simla should belong to. To me, it's just a modern world with some randomly chosen Chinese / Asian / oriental elements.

Good post, but I feel that something is missing. A lot of things, actually...
What is an "harmful stereotype" exactly?
Who decides what is and what isn't harmful and to whom?
What if what you consider a harmful stereotype is someone else's way true of being/this depiction brings them comfort?
If you feel like a creator made a harmful stereotype, what should be done about it?
Call them out on it (and risk forcing someone to out their own mental health issues in order not to be harassed)?
When is it calling someone out for causing harm and when is it straight up censorship?
Isn't it okay as long as the creator adds warnings or tags to avoid their work?
These questions brought to you by a trans man who was dogpiled and harassed for "harmful stereotypes" in his own vent art about his own trans experiences.
To be clear: I do not need an answer to all these questions, but I do think it's important to remember that you cannot look into another person's head and see what they were thinking when they made something, and decide whether or not they should be forced to alter or erase their art for your own comfort.
I feel like you're putting words in my mouth, nowhere in the post do I advocate for callouts or harassment. I only ask that people be mindful of the fact that sometimes even fictional scenarios can parallel real world mental illness and stereotypes around it. That's it, that's the whole post. What people post is ultimately not up to me and I'm not going to go out of my way to seek out content that makes me uncomfortable. I never assume people create fan works in bad faith, and I don't believe anyone else should either, the post isn't calling anyone hateful or ableist - sometimes people just don't know where certain tropes may have come from. I don't even tell people to completely avoid all potential stereotyping, I just ask they don't get too swept up in it. I really am not going after anyone and I absolutely realize sometimes people's work isn't going to be all sunshine and rainbows, mine isn't either! In this case what I meant by harmful stereotyping is, for example, when portraying Plasmius as a separate consciousness from Vlad it gets blamed for all of Vlad's actions - Vlad was a completely rational and kind man until his mind 'split' and the voices in his head started telling him to kill people. I think it's pretty understandable that someone who has alters irl might see this and think "Oh hey, this kind of makes it sound like this person thinks all alters are inherently evil, that's upsetting." Does the OP actually think that? Probably not, but the way they write this scenario that bears striking resemblance to to irl issues seems like they've only seen this type of mental illness portrayed in a negative light before. I think people create to tell interesting stories, and sometimes to do that they take aspects from works they've seen that (unknown to them) may have been made in bad faith. I really hope you didn't send this ask with the goal of starting an argument, I'm not here to fight about opinions online, I'm here to post mediocre art and unfunny shitposts. All I stand for is unrelenting kindness, not harassment and witch hunting. I don't ask people to look for art to get angry at, I ask people who create to do a little bit of research on dissociative disorders before they integrate a direct parallel to them into their work. I obviously can't know what someone's real world experience with mental health may be, but I hoped that the wording of the post made it clear that it wasn't meant for people venting about their own mental health, but for people who don't experience dissociative identity or similar issues. English isn't my first language and I have problems that make communication through text incredibly hard. I understand that people will not get my intentions fully from one post as they cannot see into my head, but I hope this clears things up a little. This is the last thing I will say on that issue, thank you for reading.

Anon wrote: Hello, I am ESTJ female and my husband is most probably ISTJ. He is very good at following plan but sometimes it becomes very difficult because we totally lack spontaneity. For example, if we go on trip, he generally asks what is plan for day in morning and he would love to stick to it. Whereas I feel little openness is required at least on occasion like trips.
Also, he sometimes struggle in understanding social clue.. like sometime people say things for sake of it but do not really mean, I feel he doesn't understand that part and takes things as they have been said.. is it normal for ISTJ?
Another observation is, he is not ready to go out of his comfort zone even if some good life is awaiting there. This has become issue between us because I really encourage him to take some opportunity if its feasible. I have to put in lot of efforts to convince him for it. But, at end of it, rather than appreciating new experience or any benefit, most of times I end up taking blame for some or the other pain he has gone through.
Is he really ISTJ, if yes, are these symptoms of low ego development or some other grip? How to help him to be more balanced?
----------------------
There are several issues to unpack:
1) The Issue of Misunderstanding and Judgmentalness: Since you are here reading about type theory, I assume you understand that different people have different perspectives, beliefs, and values. There are legitimate differences between people that should be honored rather than derided.
ISTJs prefer to process information literally and it is not a bad thing. ISTJs prefer a life of stability and it is not a bad thing. ISTJs prefer to plan out their activities in great detail and it is not a bad thing. You consider these qualities to be "bad" only because they are not compatible with your type preferences. For example, if he is content in life, why does he have to take an "opportunity" for change just because you think it's great? He obviously has a different perspective but you judge him as "wrong" simply for being who he is.
The basis of love is to validate and accept people as they are. What is your ultimate goal? It sounds like what you really want is for him to become ESTJ just like you (because you can't accept his ISTJ qualities)? You're basically saying to him, "Why can't you be more ESTJ, see how I do it, it's so easy?" But he's not ESTJ, so it's not easy. People can't change who they are simply because you want them to. If you are unable to validate and accept your husband for who he is, then I'm afraid to tell you that your relationship is on unstable ground. Your constant attempts to change him will regularly cause trouble and increase the distance between you.
2) The Issue of Unhealthy Communication and Recurring Conflict: For a relationship to work, you have to be able to work out conflicts and disagreements in a mature way, rather than use force or blame. You are trying to force him out of his comfort zone and then he blames you when things don't work out. While you are both in the wrong for co-creating this problematic relationship dynamic, you should take responsibility for instigating the vicious cycle.
When a problem recurs in a relationship, it is an indication that your strategy for handling it has failed again and again, so it remains forever unresolved. The smartest way out of a vicious cycle is to do something different, as opposed to using the same ineffective strategy over and over again.
It is possible for ISTJs to move out of their comfort zone. However, trying to impose or force your ideas isn't going to bring you a positive outcome. People respond much better to sincerity and positivity, such as providing encouragement, care, support, and love - "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar." In order to persuade someone to consider and accept your idea:
You have to begin by having a full understanding of why they view your idea so differently. Otherwise, you will fail to respond properly to their concerns about it.
You have to take their feelings into account. Otherwise, you give the impression of being selfish and only caring about what you want, thus offering no incentive for collaboration.
You have to be accepting and understanding about their limits and limitations. Otherwise, they will feel hurt for being invalidated and feel resentful about being constantly pressured to change.
You have to refrain from proceeding until you are confident that they are fully on board and truly believe it's a great idea the same as you, i.e., establish the feeling of "being in it together". Otherwise, it's easy for them to reject responsibility for their participation and place the whole responsibility on you in the event of failure, which will make them less and less inclined to listen to you in the future.
3) The Issue of Unacknowledged and Unmet Needs: Different people have different needs and prioritize their needs differently. You have a greater need for openness, spontaneity, and adventure than him. He has a greater need for stability, preparedness, and control than you. The first step in resolving conflicting needs is to acknowledge and accept the reality of them.
Your method of influencing him doesn't work because it is too focused on what you need and not enough on what he needs. You elevate and center your needs in the relationship and perceive his needs as being "wrong" and even try to talk him out of what he needs, which is invalidating and insulting. The unhealthy dynamic goes something like this:
your need requires fulfillment so you propose an idea ->
he resists your idea because it conflicts with his need ->
you overlook his need and try harder to convince ->
he eventually relents (most likely out of love) ->
you get what you want ->
he feels terrible for having sold himself out ->
you overlook that his need remains unmet ->
conflict and disagreement ->
When someone feels as though they've lost their dignity or integrity by giving in to you, it is an indication that the relationship is too one-sided, i.e., one person's needs are going unacknowledged and unmet. In essence, one person is more dominant and the other more submissive, and this breeds a long term pattern of exploitation or resentment.
The only way to change this is for both of you to become better at acknowledging, communicating about, and fulfilling each other's needs. There has to be a sense of fairness and equality in the relationship, in terms of both of you giving and taking in roughly equal measure. If you both feel incapable of establishing a healthy and fair relationship dynamic on your own, I would suggest seeing a relationship counselor to improve your relationship skills. It often helps to have a neutral third party to keep both of you focused on the right things and discuss issues respectfully.
As a general rule of thumb, you should not rely on only one person to fulfill all of your needs, even when that person is your spouse. It's a big burden to place on one person. It's an extremely rare relationship for two people to always be on the same page. Your needs are your own and thus your responsibility to handle. When your partner simply isn't able to fulfill a need of yours, it is up to you to find a different way, either by being more independent or seeking an alternative avenue. Of course, always keep the lines of communication open; if you want to pursue a different avenue of getting your needs met, ensure that your partner is okay with it.

Video marketing has become an incredibly powerful tool for brands and businesses to connect with their audience, share their story, and drive results. The statistics surrounding video marketing speak for themselves. According to HubSpot, 87% of marketers use video content as part of their strategy, and it's not hard to see why. Video content is highly engaging. It captures the attention of viewers in a way that other forms of content simply can't. In fact, studies have shown that people retain information better when it's presented in a video format. This means that your message is more likely to stick with your audience if you deliver it through a well-crafted video. Additionally, videos are easily shareable across various platforms and social media channels. With just a click of a button, users can share your video with their friends or followers, increasing its reach exponentially. This viral potential allows you to expand your brand's online presence quickly and effectively. Furthermore, videos help build trust and credibility with your audience. When done right, they provide an authentic glimpse into the personality behind the brand or business. By showcasing real people telling compelling stories or demonstrating products/services in action through videos, you establish a deeper connection with viewers who are more likely to trust what you have to offer. From a search engine optimization (SEO) standpoint as well; incorporating video content into your website can significantly improve its ranking on search engine results pages (SERPs). Search engines like Google prioritize websites that include multimedia elements such as videos because they enhance user experience. Lastly but certainly not least; investing in high-quality video production may seem daunting at first but consider this: consumers are much more likely to make purchases after watching product/service videos compared to any other type of advertising campaign! So by implementing effective videography strategies – from product demos or testimonials - companies will be able maximize conversions rates which could eventually impact revenue growth positively! To sum up; the power of video marketing cannot be underestimated. With its ability to engage, share, build trust
How Video Content Can Enhance Your Brand's Online Presence
Video content has become a powerful tool in enhancing a brand's online presence. With the rise of social media platforms and the increasing popularity of video-sharing websites, brands have recognized the importance of incorporating video into their marketing strategies. One way that video content can enhance your brand's online presence is by capturing the attention of your target audience. Videos are visually engaging and can convey information in a more captivating and memorable way compared to text-based content. By creating compelling videos, you can grab your audience's attention from the moment they press play. Moreover, video content allows for greater storytelling opportunities. Through videos, brands can showcase their products or services in action, highlight customer testimonials, or even share behind-the-scenes footage. This storytelling approach helps create an emotional connection with viewers and builds trust in your brand. Another benefit of using video content is its ability to increase website traffic and improve search engine rankings. Search engines like Google prioritize websites with high-quality multimedia content, including videos. By optimizing your videos with relevant keywords and tags, you can significantly improve your website's visibility on search engine results pages. Additionally, sharing video content across various social media platforms can help broaden your brand's reach and attract new followers. Social media algorithms often favor videos over other types of posts due to their higher engagement rates. This means that when you post engaging videos regularly, it increases the likelihood of reaching a wider audience organically. Incorporating video into your marketing strategy allows for better communication with your target audience. Video enables brands to deliver messages more effectively by combining visuals and audio cues. It also provides an opportunity for two-way communication through comments sections or live streaming events where viewers can interact directly with the brand. In conclusion, video content plays a crucial role in enhancing a brand's online presence by capturing attention, delivering captivating stories, increasing website traffic, expanding social media reach, and facilitating effective communication. By leveraging these benefits through strategic planning and high-quality video production, brands can significantly enhance their online presence and connect with their
Types of Video Content for Effective Marketing Strategies
Video content can be a powerful tool for effective marketing strategies, as it allows businesses to connect with their target audience in a visually engaging and memorable way. There are various types of video content that can be utilized to convey your brand message and generate interest. One popular type of video content is the explainer video. This type of video provides a concise and informative overview of your product or service, helping potential customers understand its value proposition. Explainer videos can be animated or live-action, depending on the nature of your business. Another effective type of video content is the testimonial video. These videos feature satisfied customers sharing their positive experiences with your brand, which helps build trust and credibility among prospective buyers. Testimonial videos are particularly impactful because they provide social proof that encourages viewers to take action. Tutorial videos are also highly valuable for marketing purposes. By demonstrating how to use your product or offering useful tips related to your industry, tutorial videos position you as an expert and provide value to viewers. This type of video content not only showcases what you have to offer but also educates and engages potential customers. Additionally, behind-the-scenes videos give audiences an exclusive glimpse into the inner workings of your company or production process. These videos humanize your brand by showcasing the people behind it and creating a sense of authenticity. Storytelling through branded films is another compelling approach for marketing strategies through video content. By crafting narratives that resonate with viewers emotionally, branded films create a lasting impact while subtly promoting your brand values. The Journey of The Tarot Haiku
XI: Justice - Laws
Today's post will be about the legal aspects of Kindle Direct Publishing, or what I did in the course of signing up and self-publishing my book.
First, I printed out the entire user agreement, which was like seven pages in teeny tiny font. It didn't tell me about every single thing that I needed to know to publish, but it did allow me to ascertain the following:
how massive Amazon's influnce is over the content, which is where Kindle Create becomes crucial in order for your manuscript to look the way you want it to (I imagine that otherwise submitting something less formatted will undergo formatting for ebook or print that could possibly make the manuscript fall to pieces);
how public domain works are not eligible for Kindle Select, and Tarot was indeed considered public domain, so I could ignore those parts entirely now.
The rest I was fairly familiar with from work experience, so I could proceed to link a bank account and figure out taxation - which was thankfully easier than I first thought it might be, I answered the questions and it figured out the rest, so to speak.
Pretty much everything else on the rules of how to publish I got from KDP's different guidelines and from searching for other people's articles to cross-check what I was doing. The copyright came from following formats that aligned with what I was aiming for, for instance.
I think that's it for the genuinely legal side of it, because I didn't go for a pen name on account of it sounding rather difficult, and not knowing what I ought to do about copyrighting it. Everything of this sort is often written with Americans in mind, and I'm Hungarian, so I kept asking myself, does this apply to me? Is that how I should be doing this despite being based in a different country? And in the end I dropped it. There is a wealth of articles on the subject, but few are straightforwardly helpful, so be prepared to read a lot of filler.
As for the rest... be prepared for the laws of capitalism to have Instagram in their clutches. 99% of my interactions there so far have been with people desperate to promote or review my book for a fee. I did pay for a bit of advertising on there, but I would not call it a pleasant experience: I'm sure they are rendering a service that has the potential to be helpful, and I hope to everything that it will, but it is very clear that everyone on Instagram is marketing themselves very desperately, and when you say you cannot afford to pay them, which is completely true, I'm not a multi-millionaire turning starving orphans from my door but a single person who is losing their job to funds drying up everywhere, people can get bitter. And all I can do is sit there and empathize. It is terrible that nowadays we feel forced or compelled in some other way to monetize everything about us, including our hobbies or passions. When I turned down a reviewer, he typed, "okay bye flop author" in response, then deleted it in a hurry, and first I laughed, but then I sat there thoughtful and sad, not because it was an insult that could hurt me, but because it genuinely felt frustrated and bitter, and I wished for better things for both of us. I was not prepared to find this much hunger and desperation on Instagram, but it is out there. I wonder if anyone talks about it much amid all the glitter and glamor everyone is trying to project, and which itself is becoming sort of terrifying to me. The more I look at Instagram videos, the less I want to ever make videos. I guess you could say it's sort of a lawless land of shilling, and I can't even blame those who are genuinely desperate. I'm one of them after all.
If you love Tarot, consider checking out my book or telling others it exists. It would be lovely to talk to people who love Tarot.

How To Build A Website The Right Way
Building a website is an exciting and rewarding experience. It's also something that many people can't do for themselves, so they hire someone to do it for them. The problem, though, is that there are so many web hosting companies out there who are willing to take your money and run with it while providing subpar service in return. In fact, some of these sites will even steal your data or charge you hidden fees after building a site with them! In this article, we're going to look at several ways you can avoid getting ripped off by these types of companies as well as how to build a website yourself if you want complete control over how things get done.
Tumblr media
Choose a web hosting company with a proven track record.
There are many different kinds of hosting companies out there, and it can be difficult to tell which one is right for you. The most important thing to consider when choosing your host is their reputation. You want to make sure that they have been around for at least 5 years and have plenty of happy customers before deciding on them as your new host!
Another thing that should be considered when looking at hosts is customer service; this refers to how quickly they respond to questions or complaints from clients (and how helpful those responses are). It's also important that these companies offer fast servers so people don't experience lag while using the sites they create through them!
Use a secure internet connection.
Here's a quick rundown of the most important things you can do to protect your data:
Use a secure internet connection. A VPN (virtual private network) will encrypt all of your data and make it unreadable by anyone except you. This is critical for safeguarding sensitive information like credit card numbers or passwords, but also ensures that your browsing history isn't being logged by someone else.
Use HTTPS everywhere possible. This means using websites that use encryption when sending data back and forth between users' computers and servers running their website or app--and it also means avoiding sites that don't use this kind of protection at all! While it may seem like an extra step in some cases, HTTPS makes sure nobody can steal any personal information from those sites either accidentally or maliciously (because they know exactly what kind of info would be valuable).
Know your target audience.
One of the most important steps in building a website is knowing your target audience. This is not as easy as it sounds, but it's crucial to getting it right if you want to draw people in and keep them coming back for more.
Know what they want: What do they need? What are they looking for? What are they expecting?
Know what they need: How can we provide value in this area? How can we make their lives easier or better (or both)?
Know what they're looking for: Do we have something that fits that bill already--and if so, how can we improve upon it even further by adding new features/functionality into our product line/service offering etc...
Avoid building a website with multiple pages.
A website with multiple pages is not the right way to go because it will be hard for users to find the information they need, and your rankings will suffer as a result. You should always try to keep things simple by having one page per keyword and writing content that gives answers directly from the homepage (or landing page).
Apply Website SEO to make sure you're not wasting your time and money.
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of getting your website to rank higher in search engines. If you want people to find your site, then SEO is a must-do.
But it's not just about keywords and phrases--it's also about the quality of your content. The more useful and relevant information they can get from visiting your site, the better chance they'll have at returning again and again!
It's also important to note that SEO isn't something that happens once; it should be done continuously as part of an ongoing strategy for growing traffic over time.
Choose the right site builder program or platform for you.
Now that you know what a website builder is and how it works, it's time to choose the right one for your needs. There are many different site builders out there, but not all of them are created equal.
Choosing the right program or platform will make building your website easy and fun! You should look for a site builder that has an intuitive interface (one that is easy to use), so you won't have any problems navigating through its features. It should also be user-friendly enough for non-tech savvy people like me!
You'll also want to consider reputation; this means finding out what other people think about this particular program/platform before deciding whether or not it's right for you.

You know what?
Hey New Tumblr Users TM
(and everyone else here btw)
Feel free to not reblog anything.
Heck you don't even have to like anything.
Lurk all you want. The worst someone can do is block you.
It's perfectly okay if your blog doesn't exist for the sole purpose of supporting each and every artist of every single post that appeals to you.
Your blog doesn't belong to them.
And I'm saying this as a blog that primarily actively reblogs art and only uses likes for organization.
People get so hung-up over reblogs being better than likes.
Like it's such a necessity for all the new users to "learn how tumblr works"...
Do they stop to consider that maybe someone just wants to exist on an anonymous public platform without a stranger on the internet telling them what to do?
If new users care about tumblr etiquette they can learn it easily enough without 'Well actually' posts talking down to them.
Y'all seem all too quick to blame the people who barely just got here for not supporting artists enough...
Just a suggestion,
but how about you blame platforms and their exploitative marketing and censorship practices for screwing over the content creators they depend on to keep their companies afloat,
rather than random individual users with new accounts who, contrary to popular opinion, still don't owe you a thing?

After watching Risk/Strikeback for the who-knows-how-many-nth time, I just noticed something.
So Nino doesn't believe Adrien doesn't want to go because he figures his best friend would tell him, right?
Well that's good logic, except this is after Rocketear, where Adrien saw Nino react negatively to Cat Noir, the version of himself where he gets to actually express his feelings.
Even with the misunderstanding with him and Alya, it had to have hurt to see how Nino really felt, just like it was with Kagami.
So of course he doesn't tell Nino his true feelings. After what happened this season, he feels like he can't trust anyone (he even considers it a risk when he tells Marinette).
***
This makes it even worse that it becomes increasingly apparent to him that Ladybug doesn't trust him. Because she's the only one he feels like he can be himself around.
He's felt more alone than ever this season.
But then Ladybug has a full-on panic attack right in front of him, and because he's Adrien, he finally gets to see past the brave face she puts on, and her constant frustrations with Cat Noir, to the incredible pressure the girl he still loves is under.
He's never seen her fall apart like this. He immediately snaps into focus, talking her through it. And when she realizes she lost and collapses in despair, the look on his face when he decides to go in and comfort her says it all.
He was right to be upset at how she was treating him, and finally she acknowledges this, but he'd never abandon her. And now that it's just the two of them against the world all over again, his unwavering support and devotion is what finally gets through to her.
