So I have a bit of a strange ask, concerning Aku/Ikra from “Jack and the Warrior woman”. There was this one scene where Jack and Ikra were watching some dancers perform. This particular scene has been bugging me for quite a while. And I’m curious to know wether you might have been able to make sense of it?
when the second (and male) dancer comes in, Ikra appears to feel sort of uncomfortable. So far I haven’t been able to find a reason behind this reaction. I could be missing something obvious. Or just be digging too far into it lol.
What do you think?
I've answered this a few times on my blog if you just search "Ikra" but these images needed to be made so aaaaw shit here we go again,
Basically this scene is supposed to be another "hint" that Ikra is actually Aku, by implying that Aku, as a predominantly male being, is attracted to girls.
In fact the entire episode is 10x better if you watch it picturing Aku as the one doing everything because he sometimes can't help letting his true personality through. Like his reaction to the desert shrew for example.
So what is actually happening here?
Aku is sooo pleased to see a cute girl dancing, like the other men
Then the bear dancer enters and Aku is so disappointed AND realizes he is about to have to hide his boner to keep up appearances
Sheepishly looking towards Jack with an "Aw you REALLY shouldn't have" expression while internally kicking himself because they're just trying to be nice and inclusive but DAMN IT AKU DESIRES TO GAZE UPON THE FEMALE DANCER FML
Aku then averts his eyes because while Jack can accept that this is just a part of another culture and being a little bi comes with the territory of being a samurai, Aku can not stand to see such a strong warrior male prancing about like a dainty girl. Aku would really like the girl to come back, but he does not want to risk blowing his cover and squandering months of troll prep over one little dance routine. So he allows the others to think "Ikra" is fine with this development and takes a sip of wine to make himself care less
But actually this is not fucking fine, Aku thinks this is the most cringe thing he's ever seen and can't believe he has to deal with this shit right now, it's his own fault, why do humans have to be so nice, this sucks, etc.
Also after over 20 years I just realized Ikra/Aku is eating nothing but a PINEAPPLE of all things, the most suspicious thing I have ever seen, how did they get away with it, this is going to be my new favorite Aku meme. IF YOU KNOW, YOU KNOW

I love Xie Lian's signature white look. I do. He's always stunning and gorgeous. It's simple, perfect for adventures, dumpster diving, flirting with demon lords, you get it. But this outfit?? I had to make my own crusty screenshots for it because CLEARLY I'm the only who sees how much of a fucking serve it is.
The deep blue and with the royal purpur underneath? Giving him a mysterious aura, someone who's knowledgeable but also potentially dangerous? The white appliqués, adding a delicate touch?
The silver butterfly mask with small blood red droplets and detailing?
The almost floor length sleeves and dramatic cape?
The ADORABLE butterfly hair clip matching his mask, straight out of Hua Cheng's romantic daydreams??
If you are going to commit horrific and over the top acts of retributive justice this is the getup to do it in cause you put it on and you're already KILLING IT.

Okay, so we all agree it's canon that Will Byers gives the best and biggest hugs of the whole party, right? Every time Will hugged someone he gave his all and I live for that.
his hugs look so full, warm and comfy...

I can't get over Wilson straight up dragging Cuddy and House to Cuddy's mom's place and forcing them to make peace with her. He's got House actually giving a decent apology even though he doesn't mean it, and Cuddy completely conceding and giving up control over the situation by telling her mom she was wrong and they could compromise. And then when they attempt to go off the script Wilson gave them, he's just standing there glaring at them threateningly, and suddenly they snap back in line. That's why he's so scary. He's got everybody on a fucking leash lmao.

Five sitting there sipping on his margarita as Diego and Hazel fight is SO funny. He looks totally unimpressed and unbothered, even when Hazel looks at him like, “a little help??” He even winces when Hazel gets stabbed in the leg and goes, “That’s gotta hurt,” but does absolutely nothing to help. However, as soon as Diego bites Hazel’s ear he’s like, “I draw the line at biting.” Like????

I love the 4 days out episode so much and from a fandom standpoint it's so funny. Like, first of all, "did you just bring a methlab to the airport?" Then they're shacked up in the RV together for four days, taking shifts cooking meth. Walt teases Jesse about him only bringing junk food. He even tries a funyun and hates it. They watch the sunset and pee side by side for whatever reason. When they're done with cooking Jesse suggests they treat themselves to a motel room and a shower and a bed (singular) so Walt has to tell him to get "separate rooms". Then they get stranded and bicker like an old married couple. It's cold af in the night. Walt has to wear Jesse's clothes and he looks absolutely ridiculous. They don't showcase the night but it's a perfect scenario for huddling for warmth. They spend the next day in various states of despair and thinking about dying - Walt coughs up blood. And when all hope is lost we get a scene which the show creator lovingly refers to as a "post-coital scene". It mirrors Walt being in bed with his wife earlier in the same episode. Jesse comes up with the idea that saves their asses and doesn't even realize it. He also says "aaaah, wire", and that moment alone is emmy worthy. And just like that they fix it and drive off to live happily ever after or whatever (except there's still that motel they have to get to).
All in all 10/10 episode and a fandom staple with untapped potential.
