Another absolute amazing Danny design by @zillychu ! I was immediately obessed with it and I couldn't help myself to try to model it in 3d!
My pc power supply died in the middle of modeling , but I managed to get a spare part quickly and no data was lost so everything is fine again.

I use Spine (professional version)! I'm pretty sure it's the same program the Twst devs use for the chibis; I decided to try reverse-engineering 'em basically because my license was just sitting around gathering dust, and I thought it'd be fun practice (this was before I tried to rig Meleanor's cape). it is an industry-standard program and, unfortunately, is priced accordingly, so it's a bit expensive if you're not planning on using it professionally -- there is a free trial, though I think you can't save/export anything in it? BUT it is truly excellent and can do a ton of super cool stuff, plus is genuinely just fun to mess around in, so I 10000% recommend it to anyone who is serious about getting into 2D rigging!

I recently saw @zillychu amazing fire core au and my mind was occupied the whole week with their Danny design. So I made some fanart!
Above is 3D model of their Danny. I tried to recreate one the pose from their artwork.
Below is a small animation draft of Danny crashing to earth from a star(left to right). I thought with his long hair and his firecore he propably could cosplay a shooting star very well!

3D animation of my character, the Vaeraf named Laschnir (Lash).
Made in Blender.
This is my second animation of a trotting Vaeraf (I made the previous one last year), and this time I used a significantly updated (almost completely re-made) version of the Vaeraf model. I also updated some details including the fur and rig, but so far only for Lash. I plan to redo the entirely model again… someday. But for now I'm just experimenting and having fun!
I tried to make the new animation more dynamic by giving more movement to the body and legs. I was genuinely surprised at how slow and "lazy" the previous animation was! I think I was just afraid to give the animation more movement, because I have little experience in animation. Now, after a few tries on different creatures, I'm animating the trot more dynamically and boldly. I also added some snow particles and more dynamic camera movement ~
I also really wanted to animate the fur on his tail, but the hair dynamics in blender don't work well with that much hair. Perhaps in the future I will look for ways to do this. Overall, I'm very happy with this animation! :)
