Alright! The results of the poll are in! Thank you so much for your responses. Also on the upcoming menu are keychains! I’ve already designed the Leon keychain, and I’m thinking about adding an Ada, an Ashley, a Luis, and maybe a Krauser. This will take a while, so please stay tuned if you’re interested.

I’ll post a preview of my Leon keychain. I’ve ordered a test batch of 3 from the manufacturer I’ve chosen, so when those arrive, I’ll post pictures.

Now, I’ve never sold anything related to my art, so I’m not entirely sure how I’m going to sell these. What I do know, though, is the price. I’ll be selling them for $10 CAD per unit, with 30% of the proceeds going towards CANFAR (Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research). If you have any other reputable charities to suggest, let me know, and I’ll also consider donating to them.

kid kazoom! tried a new pen for my more recent stuff and I rather like it. feels like drawing with felt tips except minus the nice texture.

drew this at an art cafe. we were having a party to celebrate the start of a charity auction of one of my mum's dolls and various other local art pieces in memory of a lovely lady and artist called Rachel who sadly ended her own life not long ago.

she was a wonderful, colourful character and I may have only met her once, but I could tell how special of a person she was. I'll miss her, we all will. she did a lot of amazing window art down my street.

the money made from the week-long auction will be going to Mind, a local charity. the doll looks like this, and you can find more information on how to put in a bid on my mum's instagram, @pinkyminkymakes! her dolls are beautiful and she ships worldwide — she's got some more new dolls in her shop too! :)

So with all the COVID-19 lockdowns over and done with the tourists are back in Australia, a lot of them backpacking around and camping and whatnot, and I wonder what sort of impression they must get when they show up to any old rest area or campsite in Australia and every single one of them has a homeless camp these days. Like, it must feel a bit third world for 'one of the wealthiest countries in the world' huh

#currently at a public free camp #and tucked away in the corner #as they always are #is a cluster of disheveled looking tents #I've been here a couple days #and it looks like mostly old women #there is one young lady who is so thin she looks like she just stepped out a Unicef advertisement #literally she is nothing but bones #most of them are tbh #but this one young lady is just painful to look at #i figured they don't have any means of transport and have been living off whatever fish they can catch in the river #I offered to get them some stuff from the charity in town #(bc I was also planning on getting my food from there) #but they told me not to bother #they already tried #there's no help for a bunch of single childless women #which I figured #anyway just another glorious day in 'the lucky country' #auspol #australia #poverty #homelessness
