OOC: Merry Kissmas everyone! So, in case anyone needs a recap, this is all the parents' backstory lore dropped in the Kissmas prequel. I put it all in bullet points, everything listed here is mentioned or implied in dialogue from the comic.

WARNING FOR SPOILERS FOR KISSWAS.

As of Jecember, 6019:

Carrie and Uni are dating and sharing an apartment

Doom and Uni started dating before Mune 6019

Barry and Uni are not in a relationship yet

Additionally, Barry still refers to Uni by her last name, suggesting he still hasn't accepted the unicorn thing

Uni is out of the closet

The first three ships in the Comet polycule to become canon in the AU were Carruni, Doomi, and Carroom (in that order)

Regarding the hospital:

Apparently the CLC government is involved in some sort of coverup for what happened at SC and they're providing the people formerly involved with everything with compensation that includes financial help and housing

According to Carrie, the government is essentially making them lie to everyone about what happened at the hospital in exchange for normal lives - this implies that the world doesn't know what happened at Sparklecare even though they're all free now

Any actual dates regarding when this stuff unfolded and happened were not disclosed or referenced

The whereabouts of Cuddles or whatever happened to him are still unknown

Uni feels a lot of regret over the fact they're being forced to stay silent, and doesn't know if she'll ever truly accept the outcome of what happened to that place

Part of the reason the kids don't know about the hospital is probably related to this (the parents legally cannot tell them)

Other stuff:

Carrie apparently had a crush on Doom before Uni did, and it even went as far back as the hospital days where she would pretend to flirt with him (but apparently wasn't lying about her attraction to him)

Carrie held resentment towards Doom because of the fact he never apologized for what happened with her and Uni, and she felt like her feelings were irrational, so she pretended like her resentment was related to his actions as a nurse at the hospital

Doom gives Uni a meteorite necklace and talks about it manifesting wishes, and this happens immediately before Carries outburst, suggesting it manifested them wanting Carrie to get along with Doom and overcome their problems. It being meteorite also is a reference to the "Comet" name

Rules, kinks and favorite idols/groups

I've had this blog for a while but finally I'm not busy enough to keep it active. So there are the rules:

Idols must be 18 or older (obviously).

Sex must always be consensual.

Besides rape, I also avoid stuff like scat, vomit and necrophilia.

I don't write G!P smuts. I allow for the use of strap-ons but not actual penises for idols that have vaginas.

I’m a kpop fan—you know what that means! All my favorite characters get to be too. PJO/HOO kpop headcanons.

Leo Valdez: Orbit (Loona fan) and won’t let anybody forget it. Loves their bright songs. Also likes Weeekly, Red Velvet, Pentagon, Astro. Favorite kpop song is Loona’s Hi High.

Percy Jackson: 2nd gen girl crush girl group fan. Super specific, I know. 4Minute, CLC, EXID, 2ne1; also likes Girls’ Generation. Was so pumped for Forever 1; streamed the hell out of it. Favorite kpop song is Crazy by 4Minute; he just can’t let go.

Annabeth Chase: likes kbands. Favorites are Onewe and LUCY, also likes Day6, NFlying, and Xdinary Heroes. Listens to other kpop, but it’s mostly these; also likes King Gnu (jpop). Favorite kpop song is I Wait by Day6.

Piper McLean: doesn’t really listen to kpop, but Leo got her really into Hi High specifically. She listens to it at least once a day. Casually listens to Blackpink, NewJeans, and whatever Leo recommends to her. Her favorite song is not actually Hi High, but (G)I-DLE’s oh my god. It’s the only (G)I-DLE song she knows and she doesn’t listen to it very often but she loves it.

Hazel Levesque: sue her but she finds cute concepts genuinely cute. That means she loves Lightsum; Weeekly; fromis_9; The Boyz, TXT, and Red Velvet when they do cute stuff; etc. Her favorite kpop song is surprisingly TXT’s Magic Island. She just loves the vibes.

Jason Grace: he likes huge girl groups. Twice, Iz*One (he can’t let go and neither can I) are his favorites. He watched the heck out of Produce shows with Leo and cried when Iz*One disbanded. He didn’t watch GP999 out of sheer terror but likes Kep1er’s music. Favorite kpop song is Twice’s Dance the Night Away.

Frank Zhang: he likes The Boyz, Ateez, EXO, and Got7. He likes some Cravity, but not all. He’s also kind of obsessed with Iz*One’s Secret Story of the Swan. Listens to Astro and MCND casually. Favorite kpop song is Promise by Ateez.

TWICE is probably the closest second, I think I can name 2-3 of them and I have a handful of their songs I listen to repeatedly.

I like Mamamoo music too! I have singles by various others on my playlists like G(i)-iddle and CLC. Not as much male kpop though, I know who Jackson Wang is. I am aware of TXT although I don't know their music. Jungkook's got that hot friend he's been posting stuff with lately, he's in a group, right?

Why I think all my mutuals should get into K-pop

I think K-pop is honestly a very misunderstood genre, and lots of folks would actually enjoy it a ton if they started to learn more about it.

I’ve heard lots of people claim that all K-pop sounds the same, and though it is all generally poppy to an extent (it’s k POP for a reason) you can find tons of different unique sounds in it! This is because it’s more of a category than a genre.

I mean, listen to Hurt by NewJeans, then As If It’s Your Last by Blackpink and tell me those sound the same! K-pop encompasses countless different ideas!

Some recs based on the kind of music you’re looking for:

- If you want cute, energetic, joyful music, definitely look at some of Twice’s earlier stuff. Although they’ve branched out to a more mature style in recent years, they were the queens of cute concepts back when they first debuted!

- If you’re looking for more intense, “cool” sounding music (sorry I just don’t know how to describe this), try out Blackpink and woo!ah!. They are the definition of girl crush.

- If you want some chill, kinda sad tunes, you’re in luck because pretty much every group has dabbled in those at some point. If you want more specific recs, I’d try some GWSN b-sides like Black Hole, Starry Night, I Sing and Lullaby (they’re some of my favorite songs of all time) and Where Are You by CLC. I hear Lovelyz also has lots of sad ballads, but I can’t confirm that lol

- If you like those cool bands with lore in their songs, you should 100% check out Loona, GWSN and Billlie!! They’re some of my favorite groups. Their lore is really awesome and equally confusing ;)

And there’s so much more than that!! There’s house music, disco, Jersey club, crazy experimental stuff and even rock! If you can think of a genre you like there’s probably a K-pop song for it! Don’t be discouraged by what you hear, because if you do some digging, you can probably find something you’ll love! This applies to literally every genre btw. Try new things sometimes! Pls!
