Let's learn ANTatomy!
The lower portion of the antennae is called the funiculus. (in other parts of biology a funiculus is a bundle of nerve fibers, and this is the most sensitive part of the ant, so it makes sense... also what could be more FUN that tapping everything with your antennae?)
The base of the antenae is called the scape.
The coxa is the joint that connects her ant legs to her mesonoma, aka thorax.
Ant feet don't have toenails, they have tarsal claws.

Just got asked by my adhd stoner roommate if, in my “professional opinion” as an English major, I agreed that vowels were the nouns of the alphabet
So now I pose the question to you, because I was able to come up with and explain my answer, and now I want to know how that goes down with the rest of us.
Just in case anybody needs a key to help them consider this very important question…
Vowels = A E I O U (and sometimes Y)
Nouns = people places and objects (fox, dog)
Verbs = action words (jump)
Adjectives = descriptors (quick, red, lazy, brown)

I, too, love words-- what is your most delightful language factoid? (This is about the hour-long presentation, no notes, but feel free to talk as much or as short as you wish) :)
Hehe did you know that certain words called contronyms or auto-antonyms hold two definitions, one completely contradictory to the other, thereby rendering them deliciously ambiguous in just the right sentence?
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to peruse my dashboard fast.

"I thought she might be fucking with me - as a pothead, I spent a lot of time thinking that people might be fucking with me - but there was not a hint of sarcasm in her face or tone. That didn't necessarily mean, however, that she wasn't fucking with me."

ENERVATION (n).
a feeling of being drained of energy or vitality; fatigue. "a sense of enervation"
ENERVATE (v)
1: to reduce the mental or moral vigor of.
2: to lessen the vitality or strength of.
ENERVATING (adj).
making you feel weak and without energy: “I find this heat very enervating.”
Do your relationships/Does your relationship fill you with energy or have you been in a state of chronic enervation for a long time. Do the people in your life enervate you like energy vampires, or do they support your dreams and ambitions. Do they feel vital and alive?
This is a useful word to talk about the quality of our relationships, and the way our relationships affect us. It can be easy to overlook this feeling—drained, tired, empty. It’s important to study this feeling (like all others, especially those that are frequent in your psyche) to discover their source and their purpose in your life.
