This is way too damn true. My high school had a financial class as an ELECTIVE. Meaning that I could try and get it. I tried three years and was never given it. It's absolutely insane how much they didn't teach us on how to live outside school and then call us lazy for not knowing. I'm lucky my parents taught me some things or I'd be screwed.

Non mi hanno insegnato a trovare lavoro, ma ricordo di aver dissezionato una rana.

Non mi hanno insegnato a pagare le tasse, ma so molte cose sui classici di Shakespeare.

Non mi hanno mai insegnato a votare, hanno preferito la definizione di Isotopo.

Non mi hanno insegnato come prendere cura della mia salute, ma so che i mitocondri sono la fonte di energia delle cellule.

Non ho mai assistito a una lezione sugli eventi odierni, invece ho studiato il vecchio West americano.

Non mi hanno mai insegnato quali leggi ci sono.

Lasciatemi ripetere: non mi hanno insegnato quali leggi sono in vigore nella nazione dove vivo, ma so come Enrico VIII ha ucciso le sue donne.

Divorziata; decapitata; morta; divorziata; decapitata; sopravvissuta.

Sono felice che ci sia questo nella mia testa al posto di consigli finanziari.

Mi hanno mostrato la lunghezza d’onda delle diverse tonalità di luce, ma non mi hanno mai detto i miei diritti umani.

Non mi hanno insegnato a preventivare o erogare i miei guadagni, ero troppo impegnato a fare pratica col corsivo.

Non ho imparato quanto costa crescere un figlio o cosa sia un Affidavit, ma ho trascorso giorni a capire cosa fosse un equazione quadrica.

Meno B più o meno radice di B del quadrato meno 4AC fatto 2A.

Tutto questo è folle, è assolutamente da pezzi.

Mi hanno fatto imparare questo invece di norme di pronto soccorso o come riconoscere i più letali disturbi mentali o malattie con delle cause prevenibili, come comprare una casa con un mutuo, beh, se me la potessi permettere...

Dato che la matematica astratta era ritenuta più importante di nozioni che salverebbero letteralmente migliaia di vite, ma va bene, perché così ora so dirvi se il numero di inutili morti causati da queste scelte è un numero primo.

Non mi hanno mai insegnato nulla sulla medicina pratica moderna, ma ho sentito che un antico metodo ippocratico è: “ho mal di testa, il dolore non passa cosa dovrei prendere?” uhm...forse dovresti provare con le sanguisughe?

“Potremmo parlare degli abusi domestici e avere dei fatti o di come aiutare il mio amico depresso con la sua condizione mentale?” uhmm...no ma impara a fare i calcoli a memoria visto che tanto “non avrai una calcolatrice con te tutti i giorni.”

Dicono che non siano i bambini, ma i genitori il problema.

Beh se insegnaste ai bambini ad educare i loro figli avreste risolto il problema!

Tutti quei consigli su come usare un preservativo, ma nessuno su come avere un figlio quando lo vuoi davvero.

Riesco a parlare fluentemente solo questa lingua, sul serio?

Nel resto del mondo ne parlano almeno due, pensate sia un’idiota?

Loro scelgono il sistema solare invece di quello politico.

Quindi come un tipico cittadino ora non so cosa sto votando, quali norme esistono, o come farle cambiare.

Mais oui, je parle un peu de Francais.

Quindi a 18 anni si aspettano che elegga un rappresentante per un sistema che non mi è mai e poi mai stato illustrato, ma non lo accetto.

Dirò a tutti che la mia infanzia è andata sprecata.

Condividerò ovunque come sono stato “educato.”, e continuerò a dire queste cose inutili: “#DontStayInSchool”

This blog does not normally rant about events or situations quite this serious but I found this point in my day too important. There was some kind of creature of some sort in my World History study who sat an inch length away from me and discussed ways he wanted to brutally murder homosexuals,feminists,and black lives. The few people sitting around us laughed and agreed, which caused him to go further enough to describe how he would do it in very serious detail way to graphic to describe in this post. I was so sick to my stomach I was compelled to immediately leave the room because although I have met and had my fair share of those kind of ugly people, I have never been and known I was that close to someone who was legitimately homicidal in this situation. I felt sick,and disgusted, and just overall felt unsafe inside. After I fled from the room I felt as if I was a coward but I stopped beating myself up later because I don't think- along with a lot of other people- can ever find the willpower to go into the presence of some beasts who thinks these people SHOULD DIE and are WILLING TO LAUGH ABOUT IT as if they are all chanting "Burn the witch, burn the witch!". It's a disgrace and it's nauseating. It's sick and overlooked. The worst part about this entirely is that my teacher,along with the school board authorities claimed: "It's an opinion,so frankly we cannot do anything about it."
