Kyojuro, bless his heart, is so hopelessly attracted to you in ways he’s never experienced.
Everything about you draws him in, from your striking beauty to your quick wit, how despite your snark you always treated others with compassion. You were fast friends, not that Kyojuro was particularly difficult to get along with. You’d even argue that such a person as him was impossible to dislike, at least without feeling guilty about it.
He was blunt, genuine, and brimming with so much enthusiasm it tended to unsettle some. But never you. You would look upon him with quiet acceptance, hanging onto his every word. You didn’t seem to mind his complete disregard for eye contact or his erratic conversational skills.
You just get him, he muses. And he’s never felt a kinship like that with anyone.
Kyojuro has always felt like he was moving faster than everyone else, both in mind and body. The man couldn’t sit still or shut up to save his life, or so the other Hashira would say – endearingly of course. No matter the sentiments his comrades held for him, none of them seemed to keep up quite as well as you did. Which is why he presumed you worked so well together.
He could blabber on about anything and have you following along just fine. Though after a few roundabout conversations ranging from swordplay to street food, he musters the confidence to ask if he talked too much for your taste.
You only quirk a brow and snort, “Pffft, of course not! I like listening to you talk.” and you see something shift in his gaze, the softest shade of pink tinting his round cheeks.
It’s around there when the staring starts.
It’s a subtle change at first, catching his wide-eyed gaze from across the training field. Feeling his eyes upon you as you shared meals together. Stumbling over your words when you realize for the first time that he’s actually looking you in the eye as you talk.
It’s a new and exhilarating feeling to be able to admire those honey-colored eyes fully fixated on you for a change. Too often you found yourself staring back. And the way he brightens when your eyes meet sends your fickle heart into pesky palpitations every time. You swore his pupils bled further into his golden-red irises every time he spotted you.
The idea of his eyes dilating at the mere sight of you endears you even more fiercely to him. As if such a thing was possible. You’re already attached at the hip, not to mention the dozens of joint missions you’ve taken.
His exuberance could be trying when your objective was to blend in, but his swordsmanship more than made up for it. He was incredibly good at taking the edge off when tensions were high, he was an emotional pillar of support, and you were honored to have his focus.
The beloved Flame Hashira was enthusiastic about many things, but you most of all it seemed. You’ve been told by several other Hashira that you were one of his favorite topics of conversation. The image of him gushing about you to other people is as embarrassing as it is flattering.
“Y/n is so easygoing, I cherish their company!”
“Did you know Y/n makes the best rice cakes?”
“Y/n is such a fierce swordsman, I am honored to fight at their side!”
“Y/n this, Y/n that. You’re all he talks about you know,” Iguro points a finger in your face one morning.
“So I’ve heard,” you hum, hand perched lazily on the hilt of your sword, though you’re unsure of precisely why he’s telling you this. Your eyes stray to Kaburamaru, who only flicks his tongue at you, leisurely slithering down Iguro’s shoulder from his coiled position around his neck.
You’ve always known the Serpent Hashira to be abrasive and confrontational, but the sudden interest in your relationship with Rengoku was uncharacteristic. Especially since he usually disregarded your presence unless he had something to criticize. You didn’t dislike him, but you wouldn’t say that you were close.
Did he know something you didn’t?
You try not to make assumptions based on the worries of others, but Kyojuro’s childhood friend approaching you out of the blue to tell you something like that? It makes you wonder just what sort of things Kyojuro has been saying about you to warrant such an interrogation.
Was Iguro trying to discern your intentions as a way of looking out for him? Perhaps your feelings for Kyojuro weren’t as internalized as you’d thought.
“Is this your way of saying you’ll snap me like a twig if I break his heart?” you ask, lips curling up into a sly grin, head cocked to one side.
Heterochromatic eyes blink in surprise, and then narrow.
“You catch on quick.”
“You can relax, Iguro. I won’t hurt him.”
“Few can be entirely sure of that. For your sake, I hope that’s the truth,” he waves you off, turning away in disinterest upon hearing your response.
The encounter leaves you with mixed feelings. Would Iguro have asked if he didn’t already know how Rengoku felt in return? It's an unsettling and gnawing feeling. Not the idea that your feelings could be returned, just the uncertainty of it all. If Iguro noticed it, why didn’t you?
“Iguro approached me earlier,” you say as you sit across from the flame-haired swordsman, currently having lunch at one of your favorite spots to eat.
“Did he now?” Kyojuro acknowledges, eyes still closed as he stuffs another bite of octopus into his mouth. His round cheeks puff out cutely, the image of a chipmunk with its cheeks full of nuts forming in your mind.
“He told me you talk about me a lot.”
“All good things of course!” he assures, seemingly unbothered by the news.
“That’s the thing,” you chuckle nervously, poking at your food with your chopsticks. Kyojuro’s eyes fluttered open, now focused on your fidgeting hands. “He seemed concerned that you had feelings for me beyond friendship.”
It’s silent for a moment, and you stuff food into your mouth to escape it, eyes focused on your plate. You can feel his gaze, but you’re too intimidated to meet it.
“Would that be a bad thing?” for once, Kyojuro sounds nervous.
It's a subtle strain in his tone that others who didn’t know him as well might have missed. But years of close proximity have made you perceptive to the almost invisible chinks in his armor. Kyojuro was heavily guarded for being such a friendly man, always eager to lend a hand or ear when others were in distress, but quick to clam up when it came to his own problems.
Your heartbeat skips, excited and terrified. Was that a confession? Were you reading too far into things? Was the question rhetorical? All these questions well up inside until you feel like you’ll burst.
You can’t help but let out an exasperated sigh.
“You’re so hard to read,” you lamented, nearly jumping out of your skin when his fingers brush yours from across the table.
“Perhaps If you looked at me, you’d have an easier time,” he laughs, and your heart already feels lighter at the joyous sound.
The anxiety in your tummy melts into giddiness, and you demurely tilt your head up to meet his eyes. They’re crinkled fondly, pupils large, and fully fixated on yours. His golden-red eyes consume yours, inspiring your fingers to twitch against his. You can only compare such an expression to a smitten puppy.
You suddenly feel silly for entertaining any doubts that the Flame Hashira was any less enamored than you were.
“To be completely honest, I have been interested in you romantically for quite some time now, and at a loss of how to contain such strong feelings,” he confessed, and suddenly a lot of things started making sense.
He stared at you so much because he liked you. He talked about you so much because he liked you. He let you tag along to missions he could have easily handled on his own because he liked you. Iguro approached you because he noticed.
“Then no, I don’t think that would be a bad thing at all.” You turn your hand with your palm facing upward to accept his own into your grasp.
Kyojuro’s smile widens, and he nearly shakes the entire restaurant with the volume of his declaration of, “WONDERFUL!”
“See, Obanai? I told you they just needed a little push!” Mitsuri gushes from across the restaurant, just her green eyes and the top of her head peeking over the menu.

Free Witchcraft Resources for Beginners
A couple months ago I made a post shouting out the fact that witchcraft doesn’t require any money to get started (or to be practiced, for that matter), and I had a few people ask me about what they can do that’s free, especially as a beginner, so I wrote up this post. I was lost and broke when I was getting started with my craft, and it was really difficult to find tips for beginners that weren’t just “buy these things!” I’m hoping this will be useful for people who are looking for a place to begin.
So. You’re interested in witchcraft and would like to find out more. Maybe you keep seeing those “crystals/herbs/books/etc. beginner witches should have” posts, and you’re frustrated, because you want to begin your practice, but don’t have the money for those supplies. I was once in that spot, and even now that I’m five years into my practice, I have rarely purchased any of the supplies witchtok deems to be fundamental. Here are some places you can begin instead. Let’s get started!
Info continues below.
Foundations
By foundations, I’m referring to things that aren’t explicitly witchcraft, but that I have found very beneficial within my own practice.
1. Before anything, I recommend asking yourself a simple question: why do I want to practice witchcraft, and what do I hope to get out of it? You may not know for sure yet, and your answer will likely change over time, but having some intentions going in can be helpful when you’re in the early stages of research. When I was starting out, I felt very overwhelmed by the amount of info out there, so if you have a bit of an idea of what you’re specifically interested in, that can be helpful to get you going.
2. Meditation: not all witches meditate, but a lot of the skills you develop through meditation can be helpful within witchcraft. You can try out secular meditation (apps like Balance and Headspace, as well as Insight Timer—the former has a mix of secular and spiritual meditations), or you can find a witchcraft-specific guided meditation on YouTube. For neurodivergent folks out there, I recommend looking into active meditation, which I’ve found to be quite beneficial for myself.
For me, it’s always important to remain grounded when I’m doing any spiritual practice, and meditation is a good skill you can work on to help with that. I also find that having a background in meditation can be really helpful later down the line when/if you are attempting visualization and/or astral projection, witch’s flight, and so forth.
3. Journaling: another thing that isn’t specifically witchcraft-related, but is an important skill to harness, on my opinion. To me, it’s crucial to be in touch with what I’m feeling (especially when it comes to doing spellwork), and journaling is one great way to do that. If you’re stuck and don’t know where to begin, look up witchcraft (or general) journal prompts on here or somewhere else. A lot of the ones that come up will be shadow work, which can be intense, so only do what feels comfortable for you.
I’d also like to note that automatic writing/drawing is an entirely free option if you’re interested in communing with spirits or deities. Essentially it involves getting into a trance-like state (usually in a dark room only lit by candlelight or similar—this is to avoid distractions) with a piece of paper and pen, and you write or draw everything that comes to your head without thinking about it. And then you go back and see what sort of messages you may be receiving. It’s a bit hard to explain and I’m not very experienced in it myself, but it’s something worth looking into if it sounds interesting to you!
4. Look at what you have, instead of what you don’t: a lot of beginner witch resources will list specific items that you should have, without really explaining why. And without that knowledge of how/why having an item is important, you might find your Must Have crystal sitting unused on a shelf somewhere. So instead of focusing on the items you want or feel like you should have, look at what you do have. Are there plants or herbs in your house/yard that you feel drawn to? Do you have a collection of cool rocks and stones? How do these items make you feel?
For me, a large part of my craft is my belief in Animism (the belief that all living things have innate spiritual qualities, like a soul, spirit, or specific energy) and this can play into the way you interact with the natural world if it’s a belief you also subscribe to. Try and feel the presence of a plant to see if it gives you any specific feeling. It does? Great! Now you have a correspondance for that plant. And it’s even better than the correspondances you’ll get in a book because it’s based on your own personal connection and intuition. That’s what is most important.
5. When in doubt, use your intuition. You might find a source that says cinnamon should be used for protection. Another will say it should be used for abundance spells. What matters the most is what you think about an herb/plant/stone/colour, or whatever else you may utilize. I recommend to start keeping a list of what you associate these things with. It can take awhile to build up a personalized list, but once you have one, it’ll be a lot more useful than what a correspondances book says to do.
6. Scour your pantry and get cooking: are you wanting to try out a spell but you haven’t bought the ingredients? Look in your pantry. You may be surprised by how many commonly used witchcraft herbs you find in there. And if you have been starting to associate certain herbs or spices with specific feelings or energies, that’s a great way to get started with creating your own spell.
You can do a spell in many ways, but when I was starting out, one of my favourite ways was to incorporate a certain herb or spice into food I made. Say you’re making a soup and maybe you want a bit of protection, so you add some ground pepper with the intention of that pepper protecting you as you stir it into the soup. Same goes for any other ingredient you’d like to use. A little intention goes a long way!
7. Dedicate your actions, time, or energy: if you’re interested at all in working with deities, ancestors, and other spirits but don’t have the time/space to build an altar—or maybe you aren’t sure how involved you want to be with this part of witchcraft—you can devote an action to the entity. This can be simple. For example, when I worked with Apollo, I would use taking my meds and vitamins as an act of devotion to him. This is an offering. And offerings can be anything you want them to be. They don’t have to be expensive or fancy!
It’s also important to note that you do not need to work with deities or spirits to be a witch. You don’t even have to believe in them. Many witches are atheists or don’t work with any deities at all. But for those who are interested, simple offerings can be a good place to start.
8. Practice energy work: in my view, energy work is the most important skill to learn for your craft, since so many things build off of it. And with energy work, you don’t need to spend any amount of money on it. All you need is yourself, your intuition, and anything else—I mean that quite literally, you can practice feeling the energy of other people, pets, trees, buildings, foods, socks, your favourite pen, and whatever else you think of!
Once you get to know the energy of the things around you, you can more effectively utilize them as tools within your practice (this builds off of the intuition point I made earlier).
For example, as a child I lived in a house that was surrounded by cedar trees. It was a place where I felt very safe. To this day, when I see or smell a cedar tree, I feel safe and protected. You can read this any way you’d like—to me it’s both a spiritual and psychological phenomenon—but this is one example of sensing energy.
As a witch, you can practice that skill and use it to get to know the tools you’d like to use within your own craft (the things that connect to you personally, not what you’re told you should connect with). This isn’t an easy skill by any means, so if it doesn’t come naturally to you, that’s perfectly okay!
For more on this subject, I recommend two books: Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Kimmerer (more on animism in particular) and Psychic Witch by May Auryn (lots of exercises to practice working with and sensing energy).
Where to Go for Learning
After you’ve thought a bit about some of the above, or skipped it altogether if it doesn’t suit you, you’re probably wanting some good resources that will actually tell you how to do the witchcraft thing. But before that, I want to reiterate again that this is your practice, and you should only do what you are interested in. So take what you want and leave what you don’t.
I’m going to point you in three primary directions for learning good information: books, podcasts, and YouTube.
But first, I want to issue a massive disclaimer for the YouTube information (and some books, for that matter). You should not have one sole source for your information. Books that have bibliographies are always the most trustworthy sources. And even though I trust the information coming from the YouTubers I’ll mention—especially because I’ve read similar information in several witchcraft books—don’t take their word at face-value. Be critical of what you’re told. Believe what you believe. This is a skill you’ll learn over time. It can be a bit overwhelming at first, but it will get easier to discern what’s good info vs. bad info, over time.
Before you get started, I highly recommend watching this helpful video by HearthWitch with info on how to vet your witchcraft sources: link.
Books
In my view, books are the Best source of information, period. Anyone can publish an article or video online, but not everyone can publish a book. So there tends to be a bit more reliable info in witchcraft books.
As far as knowing what book you should begin with, there are lots of lists out there for beginners, and I recommend just looking at one of those lists and picking what sounds interesting to you. Take what you like and leave what you don’t.
Most of the YouTubers I’ve listed below have videos recommending books for beginners.
If you’re interested in British folk witchcraft, I started out with Folk Witchcraft by Roger J. Horne and it was a brilliant beginners guide that I recommend to anyone who is interested in that branch of witchcraft.
As always, while you read witchcraft books, be critical of the information you are presented with. Unfortunately, lots of witchcraft books (especially the classic ones) can be rooted in concepts like bioessentialism, colonialism, and racism. My recommendation is to not take any author’s word as gospel and to use your critical thinking skills when reading witchcraft books.
Where I live, books are EXPENSIVE. And when you’re just starting out in your practice, you might not have the money or ability to go out and buy a book just yet. Maybe you’re still unsure if witchcraft is right for you. Or maybe you’re in the “broom closet.” Whatever the reason, here are some free places to find books.
1. The public library: a bit obvious, but a great resource to look at, because you never know what your library might have. Libraries are the best. And entirely free!
2. Library apps like Libby or Overdrive: especially helpful if you don’t want to bring home a physical witchcraft book, or if your branch doesn’t have any copies of what you’re looking for. You can also get some audiobooks on there.
3. Archive.org: aka the web archive. Entirely free and entirely legal, this works as an online library service where you can check out a book for a bit of time right from your computer. Sometimes you can download PDFs as well. I’ve found a lot of my favourite witchcraft books on there, so if you have a specific title in mind, search it there.
YouTube
First, as a bit of a caveat before recommending you to watch YouTube videos on witchcraft: in my view, books are the best source of information for any witch, as they are able to contain a large degree of nuanced and research-informed information. But books aren’t a simple solution for everyone, and I’ve learned a lot from informed YouTubers over the years (in fact, like many witches, I was first exposed to witchcraft via Harmony Nice on YouTube!).
I’m including a list here of witch YouTubers that I personally recommend because I have found that their content aligns with information I have read in books and other research-informed sources over the years, and because I find them to be generally reliable.
I want to note here that this list is rather biased, as I tend to watch witchcraft YouTubers whose practices mirror my own in some ways. So most of these practitioners have practices informed by European folk witchcraft, and are not very diverse as a result. If any practitioners have further recommendations to add on, especially for practitioners of colour and practices that are different from mine, please do so!
My recommendations:
ChaoticWitchAunt: folk witchcraft, specifically in the Italian tradition, some great beginner content, info on working with saints and spirits.
TheWitchOfWonderlust: death magic, spellwork, great beginner content, lots of excellent info on working with spirits.
HearthWitch: truly a well of information on British witchcraft, beginner videos on any topic you can think of, q&a livestreams, and there’s even a video on vetting witchcraft sources that I really recommend for beginners.
The Redheaded Witch: folk witchcraft and folklore, spirit and ancestor work, daily witchcraft ideas, some beginner videos.
TheGreenWitch: such an excellent resource for herbal/green witchcraft, videos on spellwork, ingredients, tools, and more.
Mintfaery: lots of beginner information, videos on working with the fae, nature witchcraft, and lots of fun witchy days in the life.
Ella Harrison: German folk witchcraft, great beginner resources, including some more niche traditional craft topics like witch’s ladders.
The Norse Witch: info on Norse witchcraft and Heathenry, Norse paganism, and some content about astrology.
simplywitched: lots of great everyday witchcraft content, pagan witchcraft, more vlog style.
Warrior Witch Nike: witchy book reviews, paganism, deity work, some astrology content.
Mhara Starling: the place to go for anyone interested in Welsh witchcraft and folk magic related to Wales.
Alwyn Oak: lots of witch’s guides, especially relating to sabbats (those popularized in Wicca), forest witchcraft, gorgeous videos.
Ivy The Occultist: chaos magick and lots of interviews with practitioners from a variety of paths/backgrounds.
Shadow Harvest: personal day in the life witchy content, some videos looking at working with dark goddesses and deity work in general.
Note: some of these YouTubers have written their own witchcraft books geared towards beginners, so if you enjoy their videos and want to learn more, check those out.
Podcasts
The Astrology Podcast: not specifically witchcraft, but if you want to learn about astrology in detail, this is an excellent place to begin. Link goes to YouTube.
Books and Broomsticks: all kinds of good info, especially pertaining to folk magic, witch guests invited on to share more about their own practice. Link goes to Spotify.
Southern Bramble: A Podcast of Crooked Ways: a variety of witchcraft related topics, interviews, and discussions, often revolving around folk magic and traditional craft—interviews show different traditions. Link goes to Spotify.
New World Witchery - The Search for American Traditional Witchcraft: what it says on the tin; various topics and conversations through an American traditional/folk magic lens by the author of the (amazing) book with the same name. Link goes to Spotify.
Salty Witches Podcast by Cat & Cauldron: traditional witchcraft through a modern lens, another podcast that has a wide variety of topics covered. Link goes to Spotify.
As always, if anyone has any additional (free!) resources to add onto these ones, please do so.
Good luck to all of the beginner witches who are embarking on their spiritual journeys, and I hope some of these tips have been helpful! :)

Criminal babysitter on the run!
(Kinda) Babysitter! Blade x Fem! Reader
Kinda in like a modern-ish planet, Stellaron hunter + babysitter blade trying to keep kid safe and is planning to punish reader after the whole ordeal... If ykyk ;) ( [ F/D ] is Favorite Drink )
A/N: This is mainly just meant to be purely wholesome but it may have a tad sprinkle of spice so I hope it doesn't ruin it, but do let your imagination run wild about thinking it's your child that you made with him, or just a child from a divorced or whatever situation. The kiddo is Gender Neutral so yeah if you want a son or daughter then alright
——
Blade stared in confusion as the child gripped onto his pinky finger with your back facing him, slowly walking away. "[ Y/N ]...?" Calling out to you but you only waved ’goodluck’ in response.
Kafka, wondering why he brought your child along on the mission, "... Bladie? What are you doing with them?" She pointed awkwardly smiling. "I don't know." He said with the same usual monotone voice and face, lifting the child with one arm letting them sit up against his chest, peacefully sleeping.
During a little break, he laid the child on a bench on some sort of bus stop, going to find something for them to eat nearby. All was peaceful till they bursted in tears due to the fact they woke up to no one by their side, leaving passerbys extremely confused wondering if they should call CPS,
Finally coming back to 3 people and 2 officers gathering around the child, still crying with tears drooping down their chin did not leave a good impression on him. He hurriedly started walking over faster yet perplexed with the first thought of those strangers hurting them which led to him almost drawing his sword, "Oh uhm... Sir, is this your child?" The officers words made him stop in his track, nodding slightly seemingly doubtful himself.
"Ah seriously... I can see it might be difficult as a single father but you shouldn't leave your kiddo alone..." One of the strangers Pat his back, till the background of the bus stop lit up with wanted posters and bounties, with a heading; ’Dangerous people wanted’
"Uhmm...?" The people muttered, looking back and fourth at him and the poster, he could've just killed them yet dashed away like a madman almost dropping the food with the child in arms. "Oh Aeons, [ Y/N ], you are so dead to me." He mumbled as he plopped a few sticks of tanghulu in the childs hands.
He muttered in annoyance, with the child grabbing onto his hair and trying to push it away to imitate a hair flip, "Whos kid is that...? Don't tell me you resorted to kidnapping children? Ergh... Blade thats really—" "I did not kidnap anyone, and [ Y/N ] very much birthed and handed it to me." He interrupted, leaving Silverwolf in a state of confusion... "...it?" During this whole consversation, the child still continued to play with his hair, whilst eating the delicious sugar-coated fruit skewers.
After finally completing the mission, returning back to see you leisurely having a cup of [ F/D ], he sat the child infront of you, slamming his hand onto the table 2.83 milimeters away from you.
"Now tell me exactly, did you really have to leave me with them today?" He spoke with a stern tone; "Hmm, I recall us agreeing for you to take care of them in bed last night, unless you don't remember since you...—" He rushed to interrupt, "I don't recall such words being uttered with my very own mouth, and not infront of them." He irked up a smile, grabbing your wrist tightly dragging you to another room. When did he care about filtering dirty talk?

Blade and Kafka got too silly!
Kidnappers shouldn't be... hot... right?... right? - Blade
Alternatively - Kafka's version!
Tumblr media
You looked at the two people standing in front of you. Though they weren’t exactly paying attention, they were still there and whispering stuff amongst themselves.
You recognised both to be Kafka and Blade from the Xianzhou wanted posters. Jing Yuan had warned you of possible dangers of the job he offered you. Being his secretary certainly wasn’t easy, and the situation you’d gotten yourself into wasn’t helping.
Nevertheless, you never expected to actually get kidnapped. Especially by those two.
“Oh~ you’re awake” Kafka suddenly spoke up, bringing both hers, and Blade’s, attention to you.
You quietly sighed and looked at the wall to your right. A simple, light grey wall, with a few scratches and indents.
“Let me get straight to the point…” she continued, her tone switching to a more serious one as she walked closer to you.
“We brought you here for information. Of course… Silver Wolf told me of your position, it’s quite easy to infer you know as much as that General does.”
You could faintly hear Blade scoff in the background, as he stayed where he was. Though, ‘Silver Wolf’ was a name you didn’t recognise. In fact, you had no idea there was a third member of the stellaron hunters, which then brings about the question: are there more?
Deciding not to think about it too much, you looked back at Kafka and narrowed your eyes.
“I have the right to remain silent”
Kafka only chuckled as she heard your reply.
“Maybe on the Xianzhou” she rejoiced, before turning around and walking back towards Blade, though stopping half-way for some reason. She turned to look over her shoulder at you before chuckling again.
“So…-” she was about to say something, when a short girl with grey hair slammed the door open, holding a gaming console in her hands.
“Kafka, you’d said you’d buy me that game today. Let’s go, you owe it to me.” She exclaimed, crossing her arms.
“I did do that, didn’t I?” Kafka pondered
“Well… I suppose i can come along. Let’s go, silver wolf!” She starts walking towards the door, when, out of nowhere, Blade draws his sword on her, stopping her from leaving.
He glared at her, making his annoyance clear.
“And I’m supposed to stay here whilst you’re gone?”
“That’s right. I’m sure you can handle this, Bladie. It’s not a difficult task to get information out of someone~” the woman grinned and pushed his sword to the side, casually continuing her walk to the shorter girl.
“Well then, I’ll be leaving now. We’ll be gone a while, anyway… bye!~” she exclaimed, taking the girl, whom you now know to be Silver Wolf, with her and shutting the door.
“Kafka…” he hissed, keeping his glare fixated on the door for a while. It was safe to say you felt… endangered… he certainly wasn’t happy, and if you didn’t cooperate, he’d probably turn to violence. Though you couldn’t be completely sure. You’d only heard stories about him from Jing Yuan.
“So….” You dragged out the ‘o’ sound, causing him to turn his glare to you.
You chuckled nervously, as he sheathed his sword and went to sit down, seemingly gathering his thoughts before finally looking back at you.
“Tell me what you know and we won’t have a problem.” Blade dictated, as if he wasn’t giving you a choice. However, you’re good at finding loopholes and getting out of such situations… as new as being kidnapped may be…
You pretended to think for a while, glancing back at the slightly damaged wall to your right.
“Hm… no… I don’t think I will”
“I’m not giving you a say in the matter.” He immediately replied, in a harsher tone than before.
“So unfortunate…” you said, sighing very over-dramatically. You could tell you were getting on his nerves, although, you didn’t really care.
You assumed that, since they want information, he won’t harm you in any way.
Blade glared at you, sighing.
“Tell me what you know. If you just hand over the information then you won’t have to stay here any longer.”
“Tempting, tempting….” you repeated before adding “but what if I want to stay here?”
“And why would you want that?” He asked, confused.
You stood in silence for a moment, giving him a deadpan look.
“Have you even seen yourself?!” You exclaimed, using your hand to motion at him. Blade looked at you, his confusion not waning.
“What?” He asked after a moment, still not understanding what you meant.
You stood confidently, placing your hand on your chin, in a thinking pose whilst looking at him with a slight smirk.
“Well, you heard me! There’s a whole 5-star meal sitting in front of me!”
“What?” He asked again in slight disbelief, slightly sitting up in his seat.
“What? I’m not wrong!” You laughed, looking him up and down before adding to your sentence.
“My bad, 5 stars doesn’t cover it. However, 3 Michelin stars does!”
He opened his mouth, as if to speak, though he remained silent. Blade leaned forward and placed his hands on his face, thinking for a moment. After a few minutes, he just barely moved his hands, enough to see you. He had a mix of emotions visible on his face, the most prominent one being absolute, utter confusion.
“What? It’s not like I’m lying!”
He began muttering something to himself, however it was so muffled that you could only make out a few words.
“Don’t do…- irrational…- Kafka said…- important…”
“What’re you muttering about?” You asked, curiously, as you walked a bit closer to him.
“I’m trying my hardest not to get rid of you.” He replied, not even sparing you a glance. Though you most certainly could see just the faintest hint of a blush on his face.
“Oh come on! You wouldn’t do that~” you retaliated, taking on a more teasing tone now.
“Only because-“ he tried replying, however, you decided to interrupt him mid-sentence.
“Say, do you wanna, like… go out sometime?”
“Kafka was right…” he sighed “You’re absolutely insane.”
“No! I’m simply telling the truth.” You crossed your arms and leaned your weight on one foot. “That’s great. Yeah no, I’m not going out with you.”
“Why?”
“Because I said so.”
You sighed, once again over-dramatically, and leaned against the nearest wall.
“Alright, fine… but I’m not giving up any information that could betray the Luofu.”
“I’m leaving the moment Kafka returns.” He sighed and sat up again, leaning against the back of the chair. He’s probably hoping for Kafka to return soon.
However, she didn’t return as soon as he hoped. Kafka returned a few hours later, absolutely exhausted so she only came to check on the both of you, whom were sitting in silence.
“Bladie, I’m going to bed. You stay here a while longer. I’m convinced Silvie won’t be of help to you. She had me buy her like 10 games!” She mumbled and waved, right as blade was about to leave when he saw her. Kafka shut the door behind her, leaving the two of you alone… again.
“So… about my earlier proposition-”
“No. Shut up.”

Okay! time to add my accompanying essays with each image from this set of work about why I assigned which types of play to each set of characters, and how Baldur's Gate III supports these in the text of the game. Because I thought about all of this way too much im not joking
First, Context:
All of these are drawings of consensual play happening between these characters after they have put aside any active conflicts between each other. Nonetheless, they utilise the dynamics and emotional conflicts of these characters. Each of these characters are in some way violent people, deeply stressed out by their circumstances, and craving pleasure and connection. Sometimes you need a little pinch and squeal before the end of the world just to get through the night, you know?
Knife play; Shadowheart (D) / Lae'zel (S)
This is definitely the best supported concept in the text of the game because we literally see this happen, though in a significantly different context. I'd say most of us thought it was hot, whether we realised it or not, and I think Shadowheart and Lae'zel probably agreed once they weren't worried about dying! I think its the perfect encapsulation of the tension between SH and LZ both early on and as it resolves. It also expresses both their personalities very succinctly and accurately. SH is absolutely an edgy, paranoid goth, and LZ would love the thrill.
For all the early game SH sees LZ as ruthless and dangerous to her, and resents Gith for the death of her peers. LZ is a threat she wants to neutralize or at least control. At the same time, SH is someone who prefers to avoid conflict and subtly occupy power/advantage in most situations she finds herself in. She has little concern for honour, pride or fairness.
Lae'zel absolutely does. She is a very straight forward and efficient person. For her, SH starts as an inconveniently racist coworker, but at the reveal of the artifact SH becomes more than that; not only has she insulted LZ's people, she's revealed herself to be untrustworthy, very willing to lie and play dirty. Not only does SH seem to hate her, but SH has rules and intentions that are entirely unknown to LZ, and that is obviously frightening.
AND SO I JUST THINK... that potent history would be very hot background for fear based play, which knife play is all about. The heart-racing threat of the point of a dangerous object held at your most tender areas - throats, armpits, mouths, bellies... and the depth of trust and submission to let that occur, to sit in the fear and really enjoy the rush of danger and helplessness, knowing you will be safe. It shows a profound growth in their regard for eachother, a true and total overcoming of old resentments and conflicts.
This is not only a position I think SH would relish - to reduce someone as deadly as LZ to being at her mercy, and to feel deeply trusted with someone's life and pleasure - but also a rare delight for LZ. To take the heart-thumping threat of a battlefield, which she absolutely thrives in, and to toy with and explore that mental space. To be truly stripped back and placed in anothers hands. For that to be an enemy who has become someone she feels so completely safe with.
Beneath this I think there is also a thread of empathy and shared idiosyncratic communication between them. They were both cruelly broken into roles that made it difficult for them to connect to others. Violence is a language both of them understand very well, in different ways, and even after they each turn on their cruel masters, violence retains meaning for them.
For SH, violence is to be enacted and more often endured as a sign of devotion. It's something that carries wisdom, the agony of lessons learned and knowledge that is uncomfortable but ultimately good for you. I don't think this is something she decides is wrong. I think what disillusioned her (beyond the betrayal of being lied to) was how Shar was revealed to have misused her pain. Shar's pain was not a gift, it had no loving measure or purpose. It was a spiteful, excessive control tactic.
I like to imagine SH learning a new way to use her affinity with pain, which I think is a very normal affinity for people to have. To learn how to use pain the way she had wanted it to be used and had come to admire. To make pain bespoke from Shar, her own gift to give and recieve on her own terms.
For LZ, violence is to be mastered for survival and superiority. Pain was only endured to prove you could endure it better than others. Violence is a hammer in a world where all beings are nails, except you and the few other hammers. All else was forsaken for this mastery. Even in sex violence and superiority are key. Vulnerability is terrifying, to make yourself a nail made to be driven by hammers who are certain of their purpose.
What else could be a greater liberating thrill, a more profound sign of trust for LZ? Willing submission to the violence of another. Those she comes to truly love become the source of her bruises. In submission to violence LZ embraces true vulnerability, untethered by tradition, opening herself to another person and trusting them to handle her with care.
In conclusion: These bitches love knife play, it gets them super hot and they feel rly connected after and share wine and cheese and maybe a massage if they have energy as aftercare. LZ will be cuddled but only if SH doesn't ask and just does it. LZ always makes sure to tell SH she admires her skill and had fun. Its very sweet

Depression has hit me really hard, and a lot of things are happening at the same time.
I'm simultaneously burnt out and on the verge of a collapse, but like... I can't really do anything about it. I'm just sort of waiting for the stick to break so I can work thru it and move along.
Tumblr media
I can't even focus on important things like replying to mails without my brain circumventing into something else.
Avpd and burnout is putting me in a constant brain fog these days. And severe maladaptive daydreaming.
I'm trying to be social and grounded, but I feel like everything around me is drowned in mist, and when I speak, it's through molasses.
Tumblr media
I know I'm disappointing ppl by putting certain things on hold, like fanfics, my comic, or asks. But I just can't do it r/n. it will come in whatever speed it comes at.
And frankly I'm just too fried and tired to extend more than a sigh of empathy to your frustration with me. I understand you, I do. But I'm just some guy. I'm not getting paid. I'm broke and tired, and I can't be arsed to even be upset.
Atm, I'm doing this Caleb-focused comic mainly just to do something else than hyperventilate or maladaptive daydream. It's helping me have some control over what I disappear into, something physical, rather than sit on the floor and stare off into space.
Tumblr media
I could do it for ibwr, I should be putting that energy there.
But there's some stressful things going on there with contracts and whatnot that's put a damper on things. Money is stressful. At least a stressful damper. So it's difficult to concentrate on it with that humming in the background, y'know?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway.
Bear with me, please. I know people are impressed by my productivity and speed - but it's not so impressive once you know I'm just unwell and trying to cope. I also have a lot of time on my hands.
I'm fine, really, I am. /GEN I just can't do four projects at once. I can do two tops. And right now it's the caleb comic and IBWR. That's it.
I'm aware it's not super great to work so much when I'm burnt out.
But know that I'm choosing one pest lesser than another greater pest. So the constant "REST!!" Comments aren't, like, fantastic. I just feel ashamed for not being better than I am or being able to practice what I preach.
Lo and behold, being mentally unwell and not being wholesome healthy about it. Who would've known it is complicated to be unwell, actually? /LHJ /GEN /notSarcasm
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I know I don't owe anybody anything. But I just kinda wanted to have a sigh and vague-post-gesture at what I'm standing in to the void of the Internet.
Because I do get comments and asks asking where an update is, or why I didn't draw their ask, or why I'm putting energy in X instead of Y, etc.
So I'm just......... I'm just gonna like....... ignore it. It's not personal.
I love and appreciate your love for my work, I really do. Thank you for all of your excitement and your feedback. Its been a delight. /GEN
But... I'm just gonna have to ignore what the majority of people crave from me and do what I want in the pace I need to do it.
okay? :(
Look. Just allow it fam.
Just allow it.

The text content is:
"Has anyone ever said that you look very familiar after taking off your glasses?"
"It depends on how you understand, Mr. Wayne. Or rather, Batman. Put down the Batdart, you know it doesn't work."
It's machine translated, not sure if it's accurate. Sorry my English is not good enough.
Easter eggs are paintings on the background wall. :)
克拉克:生气归生气手在韦恩大腿上扶好眼睛还盯着韦恩的胸…P5 is a picture given by my friend. During the process of I drawing this picture, I discussed with her that it looks like Bruce is sitting on Clark's lap. So she gave me this picture. And I laughed to death after reading it. I really like it, so I also post it here. She is really a genius. I always enjoy chatting with her while drawing because she can always give me a lot of inspiration. So the scenario is:
At the bustling banquet, in a deserted corner, Bruce sat on Clark's lap.
Other guests at the banquet (only able to see two people affectionately in the corner): "Well, Mr. Wayne has gone to hook up with reporters again, it's not uncommon, we won't pay too much attention to it."
Actually, the two are arguing:
Bruce: So you're Superman??
Clark(with glasses removed): And you're Batman, we both have a little secret. What do you have to accuse me of? (Angry, but glancing at Wayne's chest muscles, open a X-ray *)

I feel like people hate on white in interior design too much. White, just like black, has its place in visual design. Light and dark hues are both necessary to create cohesive and delineated spaces, especially in small quarters
Tumblr media
In this space, the white of the walls and the dark of the floor act as foils. The white is expansive, drawing the eye in the line of the window beams and to the walls.
The dark colors of the floor flow into the colors on the wall pictures, and create a similar eyeline. Both the white and the dark colors cradle the center focal point, and draw the viewer outside. If the walls were a different/darker color, the interior and outside scenery might clash or struggle for visual hierarchy
Tumblr media
In this room, the walls are a busier pattern. Note the brightness/vividity of the two tones. They are different colors, but in grayscale would look very similar. They create a mush of tone, despite being different colors. If no other item in this picture had a difference in brightness, it would be difficult to discern what you're meant to be looking at.
In this way, the white of the desk helps separate the wall/working space. It breaks up the pattern and draws the eye across the sitting objects. If the desk was a similar color/brightness to the wall, it would be harder to focus on what is in the area
Tumblr media
Consider the spider. Do you see him?
Just like visual static allows animals to camouflage themselves, similar color level/hue hides objects from the eye.
Let's look at a room with poor white/black delineation
Tumblr media
There is a large difference in color and hue, but not in brightness levels. The lightest objects in the room are the lamp and painted baby. The darkest are the painting background and bed frame. Everything else is very similar in brightness level.
Do you notice the complexity of the pattern or does it overwhelm you? Does your eye travel to a special/interesting area or are you following the shadow where the wall meets the ceiling instead?
In this image, brightness hierarchy is not clear, so you miss so much of what makes this room special. There are gold accents and statuettes that are not seen due to the visual static. They are effectively camouflaged.
Overly white rooms similarly have this issue.
Tumblr media
What am I looking at? What items in this room seem interesting? It may appear easy to delineate objects due to how uniform and bright everything is, but that's deceptive. The areas that stand out (the legs of the table, the underside of the couch, the fireplace) are not things the designer would have wanted to showcase. The designer failed to make visual hierarchy decisions and so had those decisions made for them. A good designer knows how to use just enough light and dark to create a mood in a space, and show exactly what they want to show. This room communicates nothing except a lack of decision or personality.
White has it's place in interior design, just like vivid colors and dark colors. It's used to draw attention to things you love best and want to show off. White walls/light colored rooms should not be treated like a bad design choice. They're simply waiting for you to add something to them.

I don't know if you've ever been asked this question, but I was wondering:
Did you learn to draw somewhere, or were you self-taught? Maybe you have some tips or hints for beginners? What was your favourite thing about drawing?
Sorry if this ask is too personal, but I really like your drawing style and wanted to ask some advice :D Have a good day! 🌸
it's a mix of both, really! i grew up loving art from the very beginning, like. im talking about making teletubbies fanarts and asking my dad to make me learn to draw characters from w.i.t.c.h. and tomb raider fandsndfs, according to my parents i had a pencil in my hands before i even started talking -- and that's what led me to actually learn to draw "properly", first in a art-centered high school (that. did less than good to me tbf but it was a matter of 90% of the art-related teachers being garbage) and the comics academy in torino where i think i started to truly "understand" what i wanted from my art style
if i may give some advices other than the good ol' "keep practicing and try to at least doodle something once a day", i could go with:
don't compare yourself to other artists negatively, especially those younger than you. it's probably the hardest part, but you need to "force yourself" to be positive. if you find yourself thinking "this 14 years old draws better eyes than me", go with "i love how they draw eyes, let's see if i can learn from it"
copy copy copy copyyyyy!!!!! copy from references, copy from photos, copy from comics, copy from movies. of course don't plagiarize people and then present that stuff as your own, but try to make a pose yours and learn to take pictures of your own hands, feet, face or ask people to pose if you can't find the right position
your art will look like shit to you, a LOT of times, but know that at one point you're going to quit. if you don't like what you're drawing, either quit there or restart, don't try to "fix" it because you'll just end up noticing more and more issues with it - issues that, most of the times, aren't even issues to begin with. letting go of perfectionism is very difficult, but at some point you'll have to do that--
and about perfectionism, a VERY good exercise we did in comics school was being forced to "draw fast". this isn't me telling you you NEED to draw as quick as possible, but it's an exercise that forces you to learn quickly where certain body parts go, to prioritize specific details rather than others. we had a model, and at first we had to sit there for an hour drawing her, then the hour became 30 minutes, then 10, then 5, and at the end 1. it took us a few lessons to do that, but at the end the super sketchy 1 minute copy went from ???? to a stylized human figure!!!
learn to draw realistic anatomy, and then make it your own style.
for the love of god learn prespective it's a bore it's a chore but as soon as you learn that everything becomes SO much easier
for shading, just. put a point in the canvas where the light source is and go from there!! if the light is on the right, the shades will be on the left
if you're coloring, play with the shades' colors. a good idea is to use the opposite color you use for the lights - if the light is yellow, the shades look great in purples, for example just don't use pure black unless you wanna go for a more dark/noir aesthetic oh my god
professional comic artists retrace a lot of their backgrounds. i'm js. use this as you wish :)
learn to draw different body shapes!!!! like getting out of the anime phase of "fat people are just like thin people but with a huge belly" can be difficult, but it's very satisfying
go out of your comfort zone. if you have problems drawing horses, spend a few days learning to draw horses. take some pics and try to understand them.
body proportions are so fun once you realize how so many things are the same. generally speaking, your spread hand is as long as your face, your feet and half the size of your arm; the outer corner of your eye is at the same level of your ear, and the inner corner is perpendicular to your nose and the corner of your mouth; if you leave your arm on your side, your elbow is at the same level of your bellybutton, and your fingers reach halfway your thighs. it's so fun
and yea, i can't stress it enough. it'll take time. art is painful, art is stressful, art can be discouraging. take a step at the time, accept some failures and celebrate any good thing - even the smaller ones. you learned to draw hands today, and you should be proud. i tried to draw a cat for the first time and it looks wonky, but the cat you will draw tomorrow will look better. i believe in you

request for you to write anything sad and comforting about Helen please, just let your thoughts flow
I went with some varied headcanons :) I hope you enjoy them. I really miss writing for Helen.
Hates the way he's set up his life to go socially. When Helen first joined the mansion he didn't want to be friends with anyone. He was so used to isolation that he didn't want to try and forge bonds with anyone, so he became the quiet loner that just sits quietly in the back of the room. In a world where he has you, it's more tolerable, and much easier, as you give him the socialness that he craves, and you make it so much easier for him to cross the boundary with others as well. But, in a world without you, in a world that's just my lore, he doesn't have that. I mean, sure, he has Pup and Natalie, but even then, they don't talk nearly as often as he would like, but he's too scared and timid to try and ask them to hang out more, to ask them to help him get to know the others. Helen feels constantly trapped in the isolation that he's built for himself.
On rainy or snowy days, that's when Helen craves you the most. He feels so much colder and so much lonelier, especially because he can't really escape outside as much as he would like on these days, and so he always searches you out. These are the few times when Helen will be openly clingy with you, grabbing onto your arm and your hand gently as he quietly asks you to go somewhere more private, assuming that's okay, but if it's not, he'll just settle himself beside you, refusing to release your arm as he buries into your shoulder. Helen isn't sure why these days are so difficult for him, as nothing involving his trauma had to do with rain or snow and clouds hanging above, but he just feels so lost and cold and alone, and your company is the best solution he's found to cope with it. On the days you're happy to indulge him and go somewhere private, he'll curl up in bed with you, your back against his chest, a warm blanket around both of you and warm hot chocolate to drink close by. Sometimes he'll turn on something to quietly play in the background like a show or music, but for the most part, he just wants to indulge in the comfort of your warmth.
Draws people's faces when he misses them. Something he's done for a while now is that when he really misses someone, even someone he's not necessarily close to, he'll draw their face to soothe the ache in his chest. When Natalie or Pup have been gone on a long mission, he'll devote whole pages to sketching their most shown emotions. When he hasn't gotten to see you for some extended period of time, he'll spend hours drawing you in such wonderful detail, making sure every line is perfect. When Toby hasn't stopped by the art room in a while to hang out and draw, Helen sits in Toby's favorite spot and draws the bright smiles Toby always has on his face when he stops by, or the sad frustration when his drawings begin to represent Toby's inner sadness. When Jeff hasn't been around the mansion in a while, Helen draws his louder expressions, when he's yelling, laughing, or just being annoying. Helen remembers so many details from everyone's faces, and the drawings are always so accurate and well done, and yet, nobody knows. He feels too... Nervous? He's not used to feeling nervous, but he tells himself that nervousness is what he feels about it, maybe even shy, and so he keeps these drawings to himself, to leaf through and add to when that longing for companionship rises back up again.

While I’m in a talking mood, some advice to fellow artists that has helped me immensely despite being very difficult to follow:
Most people won’t notice the flaws unless you point them out. So don’t point them out.
Artists generally have a trained eye that the average person simply does not have. We are trained to notice things like composition, light sources, anatomy, and color theory. We are trained to notice the flaws in things so that hopefully we can correct them in our own work.
The average person doesn’t have this experience. They don’t look at Michelangelo’s Pieta and think “Well the proportions of Mary’s legs are WAY off to be sitting like that.” If anything, if they have some art history under their belt, they’ll know Michelangelo was a Mannerist and that implies some weird proportions. But most people don’t. They see the whole and how it makes them feel. Of the people seeing this who aren’t artists, how many of you consciously knew Mary had stork legs in that statue until I pointed it out?
Whether it’s imposter syndrome, coming from a workshopping background, or both, many artists feel like we need to point out the flaws in our work to beat everyone else to the punch—as if we are copping to a crime, or apologizing for having done something wrong, or acknowledging that we did something badly.
Stop that. It’ll be okay. You can stop.
It’s one thing if you’re looking for advice from other artists on how to fix something you intend to change, but outside those circles, the only thing you’re accomplishing is drawing people’s attention away from what they like about your piece and giving them reason to not like it.
So just…don’t give them those reasons. Don’t tell people that they should dislike something about your art. Let them enjoy it! Let them tell you what they like about it! It will do you a world of good and boost your confidence as an artist.
The “flaws” can be your cheeky little secret to work out on your own.

surprise!
Tumblr media
word count: 592 gender neutral reader character(s): cassandra vole, daniel page, ivy warrington, lottie turner TW/CW: none writer's notes: dances around in circles like a maniac, anyway this is my 5th fic of today(my time) what is going on, anyway toodaloo enjoy i love yall (/o3o)/
Tumblr media
background information: you try surprising your s/o by hiding near their dorm doors, keyword, try.
Tumblr media
cassandra vole
she’s slightly startled at first.
first of all, she’s probably wondering why in the world you’re in her dorm room, waiting for her just so you could surprise her.
if you ask if she got surprised, she’ll haughtily say no, but if you continue asking(pestering) her, or become downcast, she’ll reluctantly say yes, because thats the partial truth.
she thinks to get you back but doing the same thing isn’t her style; and tries to come back at you with the help of the frey twins.
they failed
but the try was nice; you might want to teach her how to really startle someone, but don’t go too far or she might start to use it to her full power, or so she says.
she still says to be cautious of her roommates when when you come up with the idea to go into her dorm again.
Tumblr media
daniel page
daniel refuses to say that he was startled in the slightest bit, he’s in denial.
there are hints that he did get surprised, but if you aren’t really observant, it’s difficult to tell.
his stubbornness continues even when you try everything you can to get the truth out from him; he will not budge.
he did get surprised a little; but he thinks it was adorable, and he can never admit that out loud.
he thinks that he should come back at you by using a potion, such as transforming into you, or a hair raising spell– he will someday, but not now.
daniel will never say his plans about surprising you back. he wants it to have the same effect, but what can he say? your glee is contagious, maybe he’ll do the same to you, hiding near the door and surprising you once you come in.
Tumblr media
ivy warrington
ivy visibly jumps, you can tell by how her violet eyes shake slightly.
puts a hand on her chest and proceeds to breathe in and out.
bless her soul, and you come to her aid, patting her back. she’ll be fine, but your sudden appearance with a sharp shout did bring you the reaction you wanted, but now you can’t help but feel bad.
ivy doesn’t plan to come back at you(either that she forgot, or just doesn’t want to)
but if you do plan to ask her about different methods to surprise others, she puts in a lot of insight and ideas, brainstorming so you have many methods to choose from.
also evaluates some methods and provides you with the best one at times.
is she worried that you might use this method on her in the future? slightly, but you did promise her that you wouldn’t do it again… right?
Tumblr media
lottie turner
lottie is focused on her sketchbook to really notice you popping from the door’s side.
until she does a split second later and decides that you and your antics became a new muse for her– you originally were, but you surprising her inspired her to draw you surprising people.
you are slightly disappointed that your attempt didn’t work, but seeing lottie happily sketching in her book, you can’t help but smile as you sit next to her, watching pencil strokes from a figure of you.
maybe your plan of surprising lottie failed, but maybe it wasn’t too bad; you did earn a happy lottie sketching on her sketchbook, humming songs.
mission failed successfully
overall, you do plan to surprise her again, but it might be difficult because mostly everything she sees– especially you– brings her motivation and inspiration to start a new sketch.

Cloud, who is the most difficult to babysit out of the Firsts (loopy Angeal included)? Do you ever enlist outside help or do they make things worse? (Aerith, Kunsel, people's parents, Tifa, etc.)
SOLDIER Vlogging Shenanigans pt. 29
[The video starts. It's Angeal starting into the camera like this -> (ㆆ_ㆆ) and there's a distinct, Zack-sounding laughter in the background]
"Loopy Angeal!?" he sputters.
-
[The video next cuts to Cloud. He's filming himself as he sits on his bunk in the barracks. He squints down at his phone, reading the question]
"Okay! Someone wants to know who's the hardest to babysit…" He looks up into the camera, pulling a face. "For legal reasons I'm required to explain that i don't babysit them. They're grown men who can take care of themselves."
[Cloud's eyes betray his words as one eye twitches]
"However, Director Lazard does sometimes have me accompany them on casual outings in public." He pauses. "For legal reasons, I also can't explain why."
[He hums, looking at the ceiling deep in thought]
"So who's the hardest to babysit? It's a draw between Sephiroth and Rhapsodos together and Zack hyped up on any sort of substance." He archest a single eyebrow. "Don't give Zack caffeine. Ever."
[The camera shakes as he shifts in place]
"Outside help? Well, Aerith, Kunsel and I have created a what not to feed Zack list and a how to keep Zack entertained list. Does that count? Oh! And Commander Rhapsodos's mother⏤she's really nice⏤she taught me how to get Genesis to fall asleep in two minutes..."
[A faint tinge of red kisses his cheeks. He suddenly looks flustered]
"I refuse to elaborate on that. As for the easiest, I'm gonna have to go with Commander Hewley. He's usually the responsible adult in most situations."
-
[The video next cuts to Cloud again. This time his face is covered in soot, hair disheveled and holding an electric fly swatter in one hand as he runs, making the camera shake brutally]
"I REGRET EVERYTHING," he screams.
[Behind him is an area on the SOLDIER floor. There are insects covering every square inch of the ground, crawling up the walls and flying in the air. SOLDIERs and other personnel are seen in the background trying to fight them off]
"ANGEAL ASKED ME TO HELP HIM MOVE SOME PLANTS IN HIS APARTMENT."
[Cloud swats some bugs away from his arm. The camera shakes]
"AND HE WASN'T AWARE THE PLANTS WERE HARBORING WILDLIFE IN THEM."
[Genesis is seen running past the camera in the background. He's screaming as a cockroach flies after him]
[Sephiroth and Angeal are seen running after Genesis and the cockroach, spraying insecticide through the air]
[Cloud's face morphs into horror as he looks at something beyond the camera]
"ZACK! ZACK! PUT THAT SCORPION DOWN! IT IS NOT YOUR FRIEND!"
[He quickly ends the video]
