My anxiety is crippling me again and only now I realise that I was way too calm this past two weeks and I was already wondering why I felt so different 😭 I absolutely didn’t miss my crippling anxiety at all 😩🤡

I’m distressed rn and I have no fucking clue why. I wanted to eat but now my appetite is gone due to the accompanying nausea my anxiety gives me 😩

Funnily I don’t have my usual anxiety intrusive thoughts about my life and about certain situations. It’s simply only shaking, feeling like an elephant is sitting on my chest, upset stomach, very footsies fidgeting tic, chewing my lips, shallow breathing, freezing for some reason, stomach cramps.

I hate it nonetheless but I guess I prefer when my brain isn’t making stuff worse than it is already.

please please please please PLEASE can we get a raj/damien/mk final three PLEASE........ reasons are as follows:

raj- you can't tell me he's not giving protagonist this season, especially after bowie's elimination. i just think the parallels of him being in the final three, where he's the no cheating, plays fair kinda dude, would work really well when you examine it next to bowie from last season, who was kinda cut throat with his whole anti-prillie scheme (i'm always a supporter of parallels). i think it would be really cool if he actually won and showed that you don't need to play all mean and unfair to win the game.

damien- i'm one of his biggest fans and i just simply think he should win a million bucks tbh🧍🏾‍♀️ it's damien time! let him conquer! give him a bigger plot PLEASE...... he's got the brains and it seems like in this season, he's (doing his best at) conquering his fears of, well, everything (my G.A.D son... let's cheer for him yall). i've been saying since last seasom i don't ever wanna see him at the dock of shame this season and i'm still so serious about that lol.

I have essential tremors, which is a nervous system disorder that causes rhythmic shaking. And it flares up when I'm tired, cold or anxious (which given my G.A.D is damn near all the time)

So when I was in AZ for my great aunt's funeral (which was beautiful nd somber BTW ) I was so nervous and tired from the two day car ride that I started shaking. So bad in fact, that I spilled my can of soda on my great aunt's dog, Minnie.

"Mari-Su sounds like Mary Sue" had about five seconds of comedic value in 2008. It's really, honestly, truly whatever. I like the Kryptonian style echidna names, I think they're genuinely fun, and it's great to see FanCharacters in the wild with the hyphenated names. It's like - HAHA, SAME FANDOM!

... Bah, I started gushing XD oh well. Be your unabashed self, and stop caring so much about what other people do.

Go join a club or something and meet people in real life - you will see that it actually doesn't matter if something somebody likes is a little goofy, and that we all love things that are kind of silly and make us look a little stupid. Brains are dumb. And weird. Maybe mostly just dumb and needlessly panicky.

I've been itching to doodle out Tech's helmet for several days now. But what happens nearly every single time I start? I start to get anxious. I mean more than my baseline too, by the way (thanks, G.A.D.... you certainly make my life interesting).

I just can't parse out why.

Am I feeling nervous about Tech's helmet because there's so many details? Maybe, but Wrecker's helmet had a lot of little details, and I didn't feel this way, this strongly when I was working on his.

Could it be the odd shape and composition? Again, maybe, but if the issue is "what a funky helmet", I would've been freaking out about Echo's a lot more.

I'm proud to say I've gotten past most (or more) of the issue of "Oh crap if I make a mistake in tradition art I can't just CTRL+Z my way outta the mess I've made!" the more I've practiced, too. I know when I'm still working in graphite, before I ink anything, I can just erase my goofs. I know that.

But Tech's helmet man...

Maybe it's all the goofiness of a nervous and excited energy being so fresh into season 3 still and not knowing the answer to "Is he alive?" and theorizing and blah blah blah. If you're in the Clone circles you've seen it typed out a million times. You're living it yourself. You know. I don't think I need to say it lol.

QUBIT’s 9BIT Review - Better than expected

The first album to come from DAOKO’s new project, QUBIT. The album being appropriately named 9BIT (a play on words which sounds similar to the band’s name in Japanese), features 9 songs - 6 being brand new and one being an album mix.

As the first album from the band, I was pretty skeptical of the songs I’d be hearing, since the first couple of singles from them didn’t really resonate with me and felt a bit too out nowhere for me, however I’m glad to say that this album features a wide array of songs, from the energetic Mr. Sonic, to the dark distorted rumbles of Distant Dance.

This album has a lot of experimental tracks that can feature anywhere from little plucks in the bass to vocal effects being thrown everywhere throughout the song, hell, sometimes even the melodies don’t make sense - giving this album a very chaotic, erratic, and indie feel, but still working well as a commercial release.

For those who have kept up with DAOKO’s other works, this album feels a lot like a successor to the 2020 album Anima, although this album is much more cohesive and consistent with the quality and style it’s trying to portray (thankfully).

In the end I feel like this album definitely won’t be for everyone, or even people who like DAOKO’s 2014-2019 works, it’s its own thing derived from the same idea that DAOKO’s 2020 works were based on… ‘slap anything up there and see what sticks!’

Now, onto the actual song ratings…

Big Mouth 3.5/5 - it’s a nice intro song, but doesn’t do much on its own.

G.A.D - 3.5/5 - the debut song from QUBIT, it’s a bit too ‘weird’ and erratic for me. Still enjoyable but definitely gave me a very iffy first impression.

Mr. Sonic 5/5 - released as a promo single for the album and is probably the strongest song they’ve made so far. All of the chaos and sampling really work in their favor for this one, my only complaint is the outro is very abrupt.

Wonder World 3.5-4/5 - the harmonies and chord progression are very nice in this particular song, there’s not much more to say on it but it’s definitely worth a listen!

Distant Dance 4.5/5 - a very dark and grungy song with melodic moments that DAOKO really lends a hand to. Definitely one of the more standout songs from here.

Fast Life (album mix) 4/5 - this song feels less like a qubit song and more like a solo release from DAOKO. With a happy tone, heavy rapping and it being surprisingly safe with how it uses vocal sampling and unconventional methods. Not to say any of this is bad, I really enjoyed this song, and I’m glad that some of the songs here aren’t all over the place. The album mix doesn’t really add anything, more or less just rebalances some stuff - definitely more of a remaster if anything.

Room Tour Complex 4/5 - this track is either standout or bland depending on who you are. This song features glitchy vocals with the lyrics being a bit more standout than others and a very nice melody to follow. Along with some nice “oohs” during the chorus which makes this a very charming song.

Neon Diver 4/5 - a very melodic and mellow track, being a bit more minimalistic than the others. The synths have a very “poppy” feel to it with a pretty prominent and grooved bass. Her vocals feel really smooth in this song with a slightly longing melody paired with it. I feel like we could’ve gotten a bit more of a bridge for this song rather than the very short break in it but that’s my complaint.

Beautiful Days 4/5 - a very atmospheric, anthemic, and slightly psychedelic track that does a very good job leading out the album and summarizing what QUBIT actually is. A mix of different genres that lend themselves whenever and wherever. I love how upbeat this track is.

Overall album rating: 4/5 - absolute banger of an album and I love the new ideas that they’re experimenting with. Here’s hoping they keep trying new things!
