Nekomaru is personally my favorite remnant

He’s so great for sure! I’ve thought about it so much but I don’t think I can pick a favourite remnant, I constantly think about all of them so much and they live in my head rent free lol.

That being said Nekomaru is definitely one of the most interesting since it’s not super apparent what he’d be like in despair, so there’s lots to work with! I feel like he’s to mom friend lol, trying to keep the others focused on the mission of ‘spread despair to Others’ instead of just bugging each other all day, and keeping the more self destructive tendencies of some of the others in check (can’t help Junko if you’re dead after all).

Otherwise there’d be a lot of in fighting for sure, more so then there already is. I’ve seen lots of people talk about how Sonia, Fuyuhiko, and Imposter are the three most politically powerful remnants and are always vying for each others territory and influence (which is an idea I Love there’s so much to work with there), plus people like Mikan and Hiyoko, and Kazuichi and Gundham are already at odds normally so in despair that has to have just been turned up to eleven.

So I think when he’s not just like out causing chaos with Akane and everything, he’s frantically trying to keep everyone else functional lol
