I’m all for reimagining and new gen monkey Mk now i’m on board with that cause they did it really neat and i love how it feels but like…. No murder, no antagonist arch, no super powerful chaos monkey, just a guy who loves his friends so much he’d do anything for them, and Azure used that and abandoned him and then he got a circlet slapped on him, tortured into doing what the celestials wanted and now Azure’s acting like he’s the bad guy

Still not quite sure how I feel about their approach to Wukong I love it because it makes sense for his LMK character but I also hate it because it takes away the part of him that makes him complex and reduces him down to like 90% of what he does being because someone else told him to do it rather than his own pride and desire for things and peoples issues with him, but that also is part of what makes it fit with this Wukong, glad they at least kept the circlet, don’t like how quick he came around to accepting it, unless someone threatened to kill his bros if he didn’t so he agreed to it to save their lives and THATS why Azure and the others got away scott free no problem, and then by then he experienced the power of the circlet so he had no choice but to seal them away, or he got bitter heck i don’t know Wukong’s character feels like its getting such a short end of the stick rn and I love it but hate it but like it but dislike it but HECK ITS JUST SO SLIGHTLY TO THE LEFT ITS THROWING ME OFF BUT THEY HANDLED IT REALLY WELL, IF ANYONE ELSE TRIED THIS I’D CRINGE BUT MONKIE KID HAS SUCH GOOD WRITERS AND ANIMATION THEY MAKE IT WORK SOMEHOW AND I’M OFFENDED BY IT HGBDFSFASF HECK DUDE

How he treats Mk is very interesting because he does seem to see him like a nephew of some kind or at least thinks he should care about him, hence the “mercy” and focusing only on him rather than, like, Mei, who’s much more thrilled and looked up to him for a bit there. So you guys know i (try to) post daily doodles, and i have said before that i draw for about 2-3 hrs every night. BUT that also means i dont post about like 80-90% of the drawings i do each night. Today though, i've been thinking about A*I and my own relationship with drawing, and how utterly baffled i am that anyone would want to use it to like...draw for them..and how the concept that *tell a computer what art to do so i dont have to do it* is alien to me. So here's ALL the drawings i did tonight. The bottom one is the last one i did and the one i would normally post. And i want to talk about A*I without talking about good or bad end product. Because i dont care if im making the shittiest art in the universe - i still wouldn't use A*I. Not even as a ‘tool’.

If you've been around here for a while you know i have a love/hate relationship with my art. I write too, but writing doesnt make me so frustrated and angry that i want to throw my computer out a second story window. HOWEVER. There is a huge caveat to that anger.

It happens after.

You could look at it a little like hockey. Every game is fresh, right? I mean god knows the US made an entire movie about how every game is a new game and the odds could always fall in your favor no matter how stacked against you. So every drawing i go into it excited - like LOOK at that reference material, its gorgeous. The gesture is beautiful, the post is interesting, there is something about it that is just begging to be drawn. But then say you hit intermission in the hockey game and the opposing team scored a few points. And i step back and look at the drawing and realize i started to go wrong somewhere along the way. But its too late now, you gotta commit and keep going. And you do but somehow the final score is STILL 6 to 0 and thats when i want to flush all my art down the toilet and never look at it again. But its okay because the next drawing is going to start with a blank canvas and who cares what happened last time.

Ok maybe a bad example.

The product is never really what drives me to draw - i mean, sure i do like it a heck of a lot better when i have something /anything/ that i can post to show that im sticking with my everyday doodle. But its not a requirement to doodling. The process of drawing is always fun. Its when i come out of it and look at the stupid thing that im like ‘well fuck i fucked that one up again didnt i’, and THEN i get annoyed lol.

I dont sit there consumed with frustration over ‘gee i dont know what to draw’. This is never an issue. I HAVE TOO MUCH TO DRAW. Sometimes i avoid certain gifs/photos because in the back of my mind im like ‘yeah no, i havent leveled up that far yet, i cant do that justice’. But i dont want to admit the sheer number of images of geno alone i have saved. I think my biggest reference folder is still aoki and that has over two thousand screenshots - i dont think anyone will ever surpass that LOL. I have a never ending supply of practice art to be done.

The frustration comes when i have an image in my head and i want to get it down on paper so-to-speak (computer whatever). So - when im NOT using reference (or at least not an exact one) and am making an ‘illustration’ (ish). But again, the process isn't the issue. I like the act of drawing, i like the image in my head slowly taking shape, i like how vividly i can see it. Yall know how obsessed i am with personality - that's not just part of the drawing, that IS the drawing. And each deicision in the illustration is defined by the personality/character.

A computer can't fucking do this.

Could i maybe tell a computer ‘draw geno in the shower’. Sure. And it probably could. And if i didnt care about the process - if all i wanted was a very good drawing of geno in the shower....that probably would be fine. Maybe great even. Maybe it would be the best damn drawing of geno in the shower ever. And then i'd feel like shit because a machine is producing art that is more valuable to other people than mine ever will be. But holy fucking shit that ruins the entire POINT of drawing???? Why would you do that?

I mean, im sure yall can infer the entire point of the act of drawing geno in the shower. He's hot, he's wet. ANYWAY.

In my opinion, a person who wants the end product and doesn't care about the process of getting there....that person is not an artist. That person is someone who enjoys art, and probably thinks they have a lot of good ideas to make into art, but who doesn't feel that pull to make art themselves. They just want to buy art. And they want it cheap. And mindless computers being trained in seconds on the decades of creativity and hard work of art masters is a heck of a lot cheaper than a human.

And the hardest part of all this for me is how worthless this makes me feel - nobody wants you, they want that automatic button. Kinda like my dad that way (haha)

I hate Spiteful Artists (RANT)

The following is a slightly retooled repost of a post I made to the Tapas Forums over a year ago, and I wanted to share it here because I feel its an important message to get across.

As artists, we all have shitty days. Sometimes we have moments where he hate our artwork and might compare ourselves to others. This is natural and there's nothing wrong with that. As long as you're able to calm yourself down and don't let your negative emotions control you and your way of thinking, you'll be okay.

However, I draw the line at people who constantly bitch and moan about it, ignore any advice and lash out those they're jealous of.

I had a friend back in 2019 to mid 2021 (for the sake of simplicity, I’ll refer to him by the name ‘Jay’. Its not his real name but as he includes his name in is social media branding, I dont want people sending hate his way since I dont want anything to do with him. I would say I also wouldnt want him finding this rant which I was admittedly afraid of but at this point, I don't really care) who felt insecure about his art and would show signs of jealousy towards those he thought were better than him. And often times, the targets of Jay’s jealousy would be his friends. The first few times it happened, I refuted his negative thinking and tried to encourage him. He would calm down and be like "you're right", only for it to happen again. Eventually, this habit of getting jealous of his friends and lashing out at them would be turned over to me. Jay wanted to draw in the Disney style and didn't like his current style and thought it was, in his words, "shit". So when someone like me, who's style was closer to replicating Disney's, who was an earshot away.... you can guess where I'm going with this.

I cant count the many times he would lash out at me, or delete art I'd post in a server we were in because he felt insecure, or give me the cold shoulder out of nowhere when I wanted to share a drawing. I'm not going to sit here and say that there was nothing wrong with our friendship prior and that both of us weren't guilty (In hindsight, I realize there was a lot wrong with Jay that I, for the most part, looked over because we were friends, and which went beyond jealousy but I wont go into those details), but I can safely say that this aspect of his and the moment he turned his aggression onto me was beginning of the end of our friendship. I slowly became fed up with Jay’s behavior but I held out hoping it could get better, because I was the type of bastard who thought deep down everyone had some good in them (Note: I still do despite this situation. I just know now that sometimes, people just refuse to change). It never did, and we stopped being friends come May. In all honesty, I'm surprised I lasted that long but I should've left earlier when I had the chance.

Like I said, there were moments where he stopped this bullshit by calming down, drawing ocs and then he was back to liking his art again. But that wouldn't last for long and he'd usually be back to hating his art and lashing out people again in a few weeks or so. Sometimes days. Again, I'm not saying that jealousy isn't normal and if you get jealous your a bad person. It's a natural thing to experience it and heck I've been had bits of jealousy countless times. But you can't let it control you, that's the thing. You shouldn't let it control your way of thinking and led cloud your judgement. And you can absolutely the fuck not lash out at people because your mind told you they did you wrong for being better than your or some shit, especially to your friends! Yes, there will be times where you slip up but its on you to not let that shit happen again. That's what it means to say sorry. It's "not a get out of jail" free card! You have to actually mean it! You shouldn't expect your friends to deal with your toxic behavior, because you're eventually going to push them away. People have breaking points and no one's going to help you if you're unwilling to help yourself.

Also if you dont feel your artwork is good enough, spewing your toxic bullshit at people isnt going to help. If you want to be good at anything, you have to put in the effort and work hard at it! You wont get good by being a whiny little shit. I wasn't going to get anywhere that attitude when I was 14. I wanted to a be a good artist but I wasn't good drawing. So I spent the past 5 plus years practicing and drawing everyday and it's payed off. Sure, I'm not perfect and there are people out there who are better artists than me. But I cant let that fact detour me and neither should you. You need to have a positive mindset of wanting improve, wanting to get better at something, wanting to become stronger than you are now. No one's telling you can't do it. The only one that's telling you that you're not good and that you'll never improve is you.

And, this may sounds cold, but if you don't see any improvement despite drawing everyday and get angry about, you should just quit. If drawing art makes you so mad that you lash out at others and tell them to "fuck off" (something he actually said to me during one his episodes) when they genuinely want to help you out, why are you still drawing? Try another hobby that you're passionate about. If you're going to have this attitude about drawing, maybe you shouldn't have started drawing in the first place.

And you know what's the funny thing about all of this? Jay wasn't a bad artist. His art was a okay, not terrible nor great, but there was room for improvement. As long as he studied anatomy, perspective, flow, composition, etc, he'll be a damn good artist. He most likely wont able to draw in the Disney style but that's something he has to deal with. However, I don't think that will happen if he doesn't stop the cycle of inferiority, jealousy, and feeling better by drawing ocs, he's not going anywhere. I told him something akin to this but I don't think he listened, so I dont think he will change his ways (I could be, and I hope, Im wrong). If he doesn't get his behavior under control, its going to catch up with him in a really bad way. At some point, Jay's going to hit a brick wall and push away all of the remaining people who got fed up with his bullshit. And by that point, drawing his ocs wont save him this time.

The inspiration of this rant came from a situation that happened shortly before the tapas forum post in September 2021. I encountered someone similar to Jay on a discord server who basically had a meltdown about how much his art sucked and lashed out anyone who tried to help. They ended up getting banned for toxic behavior and rightfully so.

I feel like I sorta went off the deep end with this discussion but I think you should take this lesson from it. If you're feeling self conscious about your artwork, don't let your insecurities take hold of you and lash out at your piers. I believe that everyone has the protentional to do be great, not just in art, but in general. But are you going to strive to be better or are you going to wallow in negativity and let that hatred turn you into a monster?

HECK YEAH I will DEFINITELY give you JupeGuy headcanons! Though please note that as far as I'm aware, right now, Jupiter Hell only has a bit more canon lore than Doom I & II did originally, so basically all of this is heavy headcanons.

Also!! Jupiter Hell is on sale for 35% off on Steam right now to celebrate its first year of full release! You should definitely go buy it!! It's an awesome indie game with a ton of love put into it, and the devs are super dedicated and still adding some pretty huge content updates for it!

Anyway. Headcanons!

Headcanon A: realistic

Jupiter Hell Guy is quite a bit thinner and lankier than your average Id Software protagonist. He's still pretty dang buff by human standards, but put him next to, say, Doomguy, and comparatively, he looks like a toothpick of a man.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

The guy has more braincells than all of Id's protags combined. That's why he can successfully use cover, plan his route based on information he finds to gain the most advantage, and still not eat every bowl of dog food he finds along the way.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

I could tell you about the secret Purgatory level, and Catharsis being a negative burden JupeGuy willingly takes upon himself, but that takes... quite a bit of explaining, even moreso than this idea lol. So instead I'll go with this one: Jupiter Hell is a roguelike, so its levels are mostly randomly generated. There are, of course, guidelines: a handful of particular zones, each with a set number of levels of a particular difficulty, and the game does have a final boss. Once you beat said boss, JupeGuy indicates he has, in the footsteps of his spiritual predecessor, decided to stay in Hell and fight demons.

Now, apart from the main game, there are a handful of challenge modes, one of which is an endless mode (or, at least, functionally endless for players of my skill level. I've heard rumor on the discord server that it maybe actually ends at level 666, but I've never made it beyond level 60, so I still have a ways to go lol.) But endless mode just takes the same randomized map generator for each level and populates it with increasingly difficult enemies.

So I like to think that, once JupeGuy beats the Harbinger in the Dante Station, he ends up in some similar endless loop, where Hell warps the world around him in an attempt to keep him contained, drawing upon his own experience in the invasion and creating new trials based off that, all to keep him busy. So he is forced to relive it all over and over, the only difference being that everything gets steadily harder than it was the first time. And of course, he refuses to stop, so it just keeps going, over and over...

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

some characters are beloved out there that are a straight-up no for me. and I dont even think its the characters themselves that make me not like them. I think its the fans.

I cant, off the top of my head, think of a famous beloved character who is a rapist, in anything I've ever watched. I think this guy is tho

he's from Berserk, and I think there's a huge famous rape scene in it in which he is the rapist (I think)

but he's considered to be one of the best villains out there.

and tho MAL isn't the list of all lists for rating characters, let's see how many people have him in their top 10 of fave characters.

not surprising.

now for MAL, that's high. that's a high number in general imo for him to be in nearly 15 thousand users' top 10 fave characters.

couple of things to note

I would like to find a popular rapist male character from an anime with a larger female fanbase, as the bulk of people favouriting this guy are likely to be male. this is a dude's anime. its catered to men. not shounen which is catered to boys. its seinen, which is catered to men.

shounens and seinen can be very popular amongst the female demographic. Naruto, One Piece, HxH and so on have huge female fanbases. Berserk just happens to not be one of those.

so its not like women aren't into these "male-made animes", and a male-made anime is likely to have a rapist or two thrown in, its just that Berserk, with a famous rapey villain, happens to be huge anime amongst the male demographic. so the bulk of his fans are going to be male, and not specifically bc he's a villain who rapes, but bc the majority of the fans of that anime, are male.

the reason I want to see if there's a famous male rapist character out there in an anime that has a large female fanbase, is to see if that's where female fans draw the line. but I can't explicitly think of any

So here's what I'm getting at.

A character... is a character. A character can be pure, a character can be normal, a character can be morally grey, a character can be despicable. But a character is a character.

I dont know if I, personally, draw the line at rapist characters. And that's probably bc I don't think I know any. I know of abusive characters. I know of characters that exhibit extreme violence. And these characters fill me with disgust. But its also just a character. I, for the most part, wouldn't mind if they have a fanbase.

Where it gets hard for me to accept these characters, is when I see the type of fanbase these characters happen to get. The fact that it ends up being typical is when you kinda just know... you just know... that these fans dont actually look at the character as a fictional character, but in actuality, carry on their morals and outlook and actions into real life.

And that is absolutely terrifying.

The amount of "Thanos was right" posts legitimately scare me. For real. You can love Thanos and get why he did what he did, an analyse the fuck outta his character. But bringing that into real life and basically saying that if he was real you'd most likely be his follower, is scary.

So imagine people saying "the Joker was right" or "Joffrey was right" or, heck, I see it with this Homelander guy everywhere. He's not loved on a fictional level. That's really fucked up.

So yeah, my straight up no, and its been all over my blog for 10 years now, are super violent male characters who generally have no problem hurting women. And these characters have like big fanbases. Like the characters of Touma and Accelerator from that Index series. And its fine to be into whatever characters you're into. But fans... of these characters... show a side of themselves... that tells me they dont just see a character. Which is why I'll always be weary of a persons fave character list.

I may have Hisoka on mine, who many may be disgusted by, esp for his taste in "opponents"

But I cant stress this enough.

I love him as a character. It does not go beyond that.

But we live in a terrifying world in which a lot of people dont end it there and go beyond that with their love for these characters. Its... uncomfortable... to say the least...

Kanye West has annoyed me more then any person should be allowed to annoy someone they dont know personally. Honestly, it has gone beyond annoyance to actual personal grievance and at this point I feel like I am in a toxic para-social relationship with an artist whose music has gotten me through so many tough times. Mental health is no excuse for this mans behaviour and if chilling with out and out white supremacists is the new wave I’m good.

I never purchased any Yeezy shoes or bought a 400 dollar white tee, I’m not that guy. I did support Ye after he said the nonsense about black people choosing slavery and vote Trump and supported him after he ran for president. All of that was dumb but not pernicious, not evil, not in my eyes anyway. Black conservative, whatever, DONDA was amazing. I just kept rocking. This new version of Ye though, it is appalling, it is a clown show, an embarrassment and no amount of what-aboutism can negate that. What the fxck is going on with Ye?

This fall from grace is unlike anything I have seen before and while that phrase gets bandied about often but it is apropos. As someone who has their own mental health struggles, as someone who is just a human being, I see that Ye is dealing with whatever he is dealing with but he is a grown up. He cant be absolved of all of his wrong doings because he is going through an episode, not in my eyes, not in accordance with his holy book. He has not offered anything close to an apology nor a salient point infact he is doubling down and now platforming proponents of white supremacy and paedophilia. It is an abomination, it is abhorrent.

I draw the line at white supremacy, i draw the line at Ye actually platforming people who want me dead, I mean I thought hey maybe there is a way back from all of this but nah, nope. It is over. You can not come back from this, not to me anyway. I dont want to hear the next DONDA, I dont want to hear anything from this man ever again and if he gets right good for him, if he comes out and apologizes and does a book and goes hard in the opposite direction heck IDK maybe there is some level of forgiveness but it is hard to say without seeing how that manifests.

All I know is that at this point Kanye and I are breaking up. Im going cold turkey on Ye and it maybe corny to some but it breaks my heart because from afar I have loved, respected, cherished and supported this man for years. I thought we had something special, then he decided to go full on nazi. It will never make sense to me, it has actually bothered me to the point of just being sick. Feeling sick. I think people can change for the better and I hope he does, but either way Im so disgusted with him that at this point Im not sure it would impact my feelings about him. The damage of what he is doing and has done is enormous.

Happy, excited, and sleepless. Today is the first day of Johnny’s spring break and he has been waiting for this day, the moment freshman year started... because this is the only time he can go home and finally see you again.

Johnny has been your childhood best friend and you two are basically inseparable. Well, except when he needed to leave for college. Of course you’re devastated the whole summer just before Johnny leaves. And it was that season, you both admitted your feelings for each other. Feelings that has been bottled up for too long finally and suddenly bursted out during a friendly kiss that turned into a passionate one which led to a slow and intimate sex the night before he left.

It has been almost half a year when that fateful night happened, but everything feels so fresh for him still. After what happened between you and Johnny, your relationship with each other did not progressed to something even more serious. Although you exchange nudes from time to time, FaceTime until the morning and say ‘i miss you’ to each other together with other sweet words.

He placed the flowers on your bedside table near a photo he took for you and smiled in awe because you always cherish everything he gave you.

Feeling so sleepy and tired from the long drive, he removed his shoes and joined you under the covers. Slinging his arm around your waist and finally waking you up with soft kiss on your cheek. “I’m home,” he whispered softly. You rolled to face him, surprised but you’re both so sleepy to show it so you returned his hug and hugged him tightly. The moment you laid eyes on him, his eyes were already closed, comfortable and more than happy that he can feel your presence.

And as you both sleep together in your small bed, well, small because Johnny is a big person, you bask in his warmth and meet him in your dreams. Not wasting any second without each other.

“You must be really tired” you said when he finally woke up, raking his soft hair away from his face.

He nodded and smiled at you. Finally. He thought. “What time is it?”

“Almost afternoon. But no one cares,” you said and came closer to him, finally kissing those lips you missed so much. He rolled on top of you, putting his whole weight on you while kissing you breathlessly on the lips, neck and chest. His hands were perfectly placed on your waist, his thumb is drawing small circles on your skin and as if he’s asking permission to lift your shirt and see you without your clothes on.

He pulled away to remove his thick hoodie and plain white shirt, leaving him only with his denim pants. You noticed his body changed a lot, sure the nude photos he sends were great and it makes you miss him more, but seeing Johnny again in between your legs without a shirt on and looking hot as fuck just makes you crave for him. “This is so much better than the photos you send me,”

He let out a satisfied smile and started to unbutton his denim pants and remove it in front of you. You on the other hand, removed your pajama and welcomed him in your arms again. Also, I usually draw them with the same other characters a lot, like I usually draw Competitive with Knuckles, and Knuckles at first just goes along, fights Competitive and everyone happy, but then it's like weeell he kind of has a very important emerald to look after, and everytime Competitive looses he wants a rematch and it just gets tiring. But like, Competitive feels the need to prove that he is strong and capable! So they get stuck on his loop.

Then there's Energetic and Amy, he kind of just shows up, looking to burn some energy, and at first she just lets him, but she isn't really pleased with having him running around in her house, he starts bumping into things and breaking some other, and even if he is sorry he just can't stop moving! Amy then starts trying to get him to stop, or to just get him out of the house but she also feels a little guilty because she knows he doesn't do it on purpose.

There's also Determined and Shadow, we all know Determined follows him around and tries to protect him all the time, but it starts to intervene with Shadow's life as well. Rouge is kind of annoyed by it, and it causes trouble at GUN, and Shadow's an introvert, so being followed around isn't really his favorite thing. I just imagine Shadow just walking while Determined is not only behind him, but looking around, suddenly making Shadow stop if he hears anything weird, or sees anyone suspicious, but it's actually nothing. Shadow would try to get him to leave him alone, but Determined always has the 'what if's.

Finally there's Chill, Kind and Tails. Tails is very busy, trying to find a solution for this five Sonics thing, but it's a little hard with two out of five always distracting him. I imagine Kind offering to help, at first Tails let him, but something goes wrong and he's like 'haha never again' and then Kind is just left to stand behind Tails, waiting to be given a task, while Chill isn't actually helping at all, he's using all the space just laying around, if Tails ever needs him he's okay with helping??? But he doesn't really put all his effort in, so in the end it's as if he did nothing. It's not that he doesn't want to help, but like, why ask him? Kind is already there and eager to help.

I also like to think about interactions between the Sonics! Because some of them are kind of opposites, like Kind and Competitive, or Chill and Energetic (or Chill and Determined), so it's fun to imagine things like Competitive going around showing everyone how strong and fast he is, and Kind's just like 'well you're not being very nice' and Competitive doesn't really know how to react???? Or Determined being all worried over something, and desperately trying to fix it, and Chill just being like 'dude chill, you're exaggerating way too much' So that's interesting too, even more considering it's quite literally just Sonic talking to himself:)

Most ingredients in alchemy usually come from ores and liquid ingredients formed by chemistry methods. Stuff like Tuttia, Bismuth, all that shindigs-

So while plant life can be useful for alchemy, not everyone recognizes its utility straight away, and provide for the common plants for arrangements rather than scientific inventory

I can imagine that you'd be a normal gardener at first but very passionate of their properties.

Might be a Dendro vision wielder too, the Dendro archon loves those who wield the power of knowledge, more so when they use it on nature.

You carry with you a lil book about all the plants and shrubs that you've personally cared for, down to their finest detail and properties. But you're a gardener, not a master of Alchemy, so some parts of the notes you couldn't really figure out yourself.

The first time you met Albedo, he was around a year into staying in Mondstadt. He was forced to go out and take a breather because of his workaholic schedule, and instead of relaxing in a bath, he ended up drifting to the market area to get more ingredients local to Mond.

Unlike the other flower stalls, he was pulled into yours because of the wide variety of your wares. Roots, grasses, shoots, plants you couldn't just find outside of the walls.

You were tending to your mini greenhouse in the back and left your botania book on the shelf outside, and this LIL SHI- Albedo, having no proper training for social interactions, straight up just opened that shit and read it all.

"Oh, hello there, mister- HEY, THAT'S MY STUFF, WHAT THE HECK"

Flustered, confused and alarmed, Albedo tried his best to quickly reason with your garden-spade-wielding self. And with his pretty boy self, you managed to calm down and listen.

You may or may not had smacked him with a bouquet of horsetail for good measure.

"Such vast knowledge and detail orientation, why waste away your talents in selling productive fauna when you can wield them into something more?"

Working with Albedo!

Your greenhouse in the Knight of Favonius HQ is most definitely connected to Albedo's laboratory! And very spacious too.

More than one occasion, you've seen the Chief Alchemist casually sneaking around the area, plucking a Flaming Flower or scraping dandelion seeds from the pot while you were busy tending to other flowers on the other side of your area.

65% of the time you caught him red-handed and you will be met with the rare sight of a fumbling, queasy Albedo.

30% of the time you just find out something is missing after checking inventory for the day, usually ends up with you hunting and shouting for Albedo. Because the guy seem to have a sixth sense as to when you find out his thieving adventures.

5% of all of that, Kaeya would be the one stealing from your 'safer' floras to woo a random citizen in Mond. And as a master of botany, your precious babies are always in tip top shape. Top quality bouquets all day, all night.

Those moments are the ones Albedo hate more than getting smacked with your spade. Those are your flowers, and by association, his. Grown to their maximum potential by your calloused yet gentle hands FOR HIM-

Kaeya: *reaching out to pluck a perfectly healthy glaze lily*; Albedo: *his short ass of a shadow looming over him*

NOW IT IS HIM WHO WIELDS THE POWER OF THE GARDEN SPADE

The atmosphere of your work area is significantly different from his own messy laboratory. The glass walls and roof that lets in just the right amount of sunlight, with a perfect view of the scenic landscape of Mondstadt and beyond.

When Albedo reaches a wall on his research, he picks up his sketchbook and just- waltz in to your workshop through the door connecting your workspaces.

The fresh air, the soft kiss of the sun, your humming, it was all a symphony of heaven concocted just for him.

He’ll find himself sketching your babies, dozen or more times you are included.

Your notebook’s illustrations are mostly courtesy of him, and he greatly basks in your pure admiration of his drawing.

To help him focus, you once took on the great task of organizing his laboratory, to no avail. Even if you manage to fix and align his inventory, it’s gonna go back to chaos after three days minimum.

It’s okay tho, it’s normal for him, more excuse to visit you-

Guilty, he wants your spacious and refreshing greenhouse and often asks for a redesign of his laboratory to share similar workspace with you.

Acting Grand Master Jean had to decline this idea just because it costs more than a million mora.

He’s definitely gonna sulk in your greenhouse after that, back leaning on the warm glass wall as he does nothing but sketch you and your plants the whole day.

Actually Working with Albedo! (Finally)

Whenever Albedo discovers/explores a new area, you’re always sure to tag along whether willingly or by force

I imagine that despite being his assistant/student, Sucrose and Timaeus are more focused on research and the application of Alchemy, so they’re not much of the resource gathering type. That said, Albedo is very thankful of your existence, it’s a breather to his already full schedule.

Albedo is both considerate and inconsiderate unconsciously : While he may run off to experiment on the traveler and leave you scouting the area yourself, he doesn’t willingly set you on fire from the inside.

Every time he comes back to camp after finishing the step by step experiment with/on the Traveler, he makes sure to check up on how you are doing.

TAKE NOTE: Our prince is very occupied and busy with his own work a lot, so he’s never really seen you in action when you go out to get the the materials he needs-

So he is purely horrified when he saw you hanging off the cliff with nothing but a rope around you to keep you safe, carefully investigating a petrified tree branch up close.

Suddenly, elevator.

Again, Imma bet, he’s gonna be accompanying you in all your expeditions after that. He’ll need to know where and how you acquire every ingredient outside of your greenhouse.

Does it require you to climb a mountain? Are there any Hilichurl camps nearby? Maybe mobs that are attracted to that type of flower?

He would be very attentive of your inventory reports and would recognize if a dangerous gathering journey is near. He’ll be right there with you.

Violetgrass x1000

He’s gathering more than a month’s worth just to make sure you don’t go back to make that dangerous trip. It’s very impractical, but let him rest his heart.

You and Albedo: Resource Gathering Expedition; Other Knights: Outdoor Dates Disguised as Work-Related Outings

Flower crowns are good and all but have you heard of flower bracelets?

Something angst-y: Albedo has yet to make a Dendro affinity potion and he’s really, really devastated about it and himself. You’ll have to forcibly pull him out of his self-deprecation, force him to get a breather.

Overall, Albedo greatly appreciates not only your utility but also your consistent company. He values your tenacity and comfort, sharing unadulterated curiousity as you both venture the great unknown. There’s a lot of stuff he can pray about to thank whichever archon has graced you. And despite his Vision lacking the function to actually help in the advancement of his research, he is now thankful for it, for he has found with it a greater purpose: Ensuring the safety of his precious Gardenia.

Monster Hunter Rise: 2nd Trailer and news blowout

Hey guys this is Gaijinhunter. I am uploading this as a text post since I caught a cold and have been unable to edit a video.

There was a huge second wave of news for Monster Hunter Rise with the reveal of the 2nd trailer the other day during the Game Awards 2020 show. Keep in mind the actual full length trailer is much longer and better than the shorter edit they showed during the show so makes sure you watch it. It showcased a second map, 2 new monsters, several returning monsters, and more. They also updated their official website with a ton of information so instead of doing a trailer reaction or breakdown, I am going to give you all the info they shared but split up by category, trying to focus only on the new stuff.

New Map

Director Ichinose hinted in an interview that one of the new maps would be nostalgic and boy he wasn't kidding. The Flooded Forest from Third Generation has been massively remade and is back in MH rise. Of course given this game’s focus is verticality, there is no underwater combat sections but they really nailed it from what I can see. One of the most iconic parts of the forest was the ruins in the backgrounds, and now you can scale up it using the wirebug. How cool is that.

With the new map we also got the reveal of 2 new monsters.

First up is the mermaid wyvern, the Somnacanth. This marks the much hyped return of the leviathan class of monsters which were missing in world and iceborne. This Monster looks so wild. It has a special breath that will put you to sleep, is super aggressive, and has this crazy taiko drum like chest in which it will grab oysters and other things and bust them against it to break them open and buff itself. The Japanese name is quite a mouthful and is called Isonemikuni. This is the monster that Ichinose teased with his cute drawing on twitter.

Next up is the tengu beast, Bishaten. This monster is really unique, it looks like a mix of a monkey, bat, and bird. It has a huge and powerful tail it uses for massive mobility and it will chuck various fruits at you as well. One of the most iconic fruits it throws are persimmons, which are very Japanese and if you haven’t had them before, they are kind of an acquired taste. It’s Japanese name is Bishutendo.

For returning monsters we have a few. First is our favorite sponge, the Royal Ludroth. This is a fan favorite and a great early to mid game monster. It has one of the best move sets in my opinion, very telegraphed but it can still catch you off guard even if you are super used to it. Strategically figuring gout where to stand in order to cut off its tail or break the sponge has always been really fun and intersting so I’m delighted to see this monster return, also look at that texture of the sponge!

Then we got the return of the Great Wroggi, the anti-poison skill tutorial monster. This thing really messed me up back in MH3G until I spent the time to get the materials to craft anti-posion decorations and even then, like the Great Izuchi, it fights really well with its sidekick small wroggis and I cant wait to see the improved cooperative AI that they are making for the Great Izuchi applied to this monster as well. It’s armor also spots a really cool Crocodile Dundee hat and look in the trailer and you can see the palico armor as well. So cool.

Finally, we got a small scene that appears to show a snow map and a group of baggi getting hit by a Khezu lightening shot. Does this mean the Great Baggi will return? Not sure. But that scream 100% is a Khezu, and I cannot wait to see how it looks with higher resolution texturing, I bet it will be creepy as heck. So while not technically confirmed, I’d say it’s safe to say Khezu is returning in some form. The balance of all these monsters is so great, I love the selection so far.

As far as other returning monsters that might return, I think we all expect nargacuga and zinogre. These are flagship monsters from games directed by Ichinose and he even tweeted his palamute and palico both named after these two monsters. Especially given the Japanese aesthetic, I think it’s pretty much guaranteed they are returning. Then I think mizutsune is also highly likely given its Japanese design, the fox theme, the kimono armor. Plus the model for it doesn't look that far off from the new Somnacanth. Anyway I have super hyped.

Interaction with animals and endemic life

One of the huge features of Monster Hunter Rise is the focus on wild life and animals to buff your hunter or be used as tools during a hunt.

There are 4 major types of Endemic Life: Temp Buffer, Permabuffer, Hunting Helper, and environmental.

For Permabuffer, we got a new render of the Spiribirds, which will buff your hunter if you move near one, and the effects depend on the color of the pollen it is carrying. Green increases your max Health, Orange increases your defense, red increases your attack power, and yellow increases your max stamina. There is even a special rainbow colored one, which I assume will buff all 4.

Via their website, Capcom announced a new item called the Petalace, a bracelet made of a plant called a Sending Sprig that each hunter has equipped. This is what collects the pollen from the birds and buffs your hunter. There is a variety of Petalaces in the game and some may increase the amount in which an attack boost is applied from a single Spiribird, raise the max value that health can be boosted, and more. Here in the screen shot we can see the caps for each and the amount gained for each buff. Just a quick note but this is not going to be replacing charms as we know that they are giving away a talisman for pre-order.

For Temp Buffer creatures, they revealed the name of the Clothfly, a butterfly that will temporarily increase your defense once you interact with it and cause it to generate a cloud of dust. In previous videos we have seen Peepers that reduce stamina usage, birds that raise your base stats, and a dragonfly that boosts your affinity and I had calculated it out to being applied for 90 seconds but we’ll have to wait for hte final game to see if that depends on the effect or if they change it, but it sounds about right.

For Hunting Helper creatures, we got an adorable new render of the Stinkmink. You can carry up to 5 Hunting Helpers and use them like items. The Stinkmink can be used to cover yourself in a special pheromone that will attract large monsters to you, even allowing you to lure one monster toward another to cause a turf war. I personally can think of other applications like luring a monster toward a trap and stuff like that.

And for environmental endemic life, they didn't show it in the trailer but there are also wildlife that can be used like environmental traps. For example, use raw meat and the giganha fish will go crazy, damaging anything nearby be it a hunter or monster. I can’t wait to see someone hunt a Great Wroggi using only raw meat. I love that we finally will have more use for this item.

NPCs

In the new trailer we got to hear several of the NPC villagers talking and on the website they go into a lot more details. They have quite the star-studded cast in Japanese and the English voice actors are also very interesting picks. This really marks the first time in Monster Hunter that the main cast of villagers will all be called by name and speak, which I think adds a lot of personality to the game.

First we have Fugen the village elder of Kamura and skilled long sword user.

Then we have Hinoa the Quest Maiden, a cheerful and optimistic girl who serves as the quest giver in the village while her twin sister runs the gathering hub. While not announced in any other language, the French and Italian language sites for the game list her sister’s name as Minoto. Hinoa’s name is Hinoe in Japnaese and for the rest of the cast their names are identical between the two languages.

One thing I am excited for is that they said that one of the ways they will help communicate the uniqueness of Kamura is through songs and they shared a sample of one of them in the full trailer. This one is sung by Izumi Kato. If you remember back in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate they featured songs by the wyverian Diva, and I am so happy they decided to do songs again, they add so much richness to the world and are just lovely to listen to.

Next up is Yomogi, our village chef. In this game you will eat meals at her Tea Shop, where her speciality is the Bunny Dango she makes along with the help of some palicoes. I love that we’ve seen her in past videos with a heavy bowgun, so the idea that all the villagers are active participants in the story is great.

Then we have Hamon the blacksmith. He used to hunt alongside Fugen back in the day but now creates weapons for the hunters of the village. His grandson also appears in the game and is a kind-hearted youth that loves your hunting companions.

Next is Kagero the merchant. Despite his mysterious appearance he is actually very warm and kind. If there is a sale going on, not only can you buy most items for half off, but you can also participate in a lottery where you spin a wheel and it dispenses a colored ball. Get a rare color ball to win a rare prize. You can do it once per sale, but you can also scan an amiibo to spin two more times, but only once per day per amiibo you own.

Finally we have Komitsu the sweet-tooth, she sells candy apples in town. What these do is still not yet revealed.

Companions

We got an adorable render for the Cohoot, the pet owl that shows the positions of monsters on your map. You can interact with it in the town and even dress them up in fancy outfits.

Kamura Village

We got gameplay showing that the entire village is open to the 4 person multiplayer session and you can even ride around on your palamute and use your wirebug while in the village to zip around and have fun. There is still a gathering hall but the ability to see each other in the village as well as jump around and really explore it is a lovely change they are making.

Story wise we got more info about the Rampage, both a story mechanic and new quest type. For some reason the monsters will sometimes gang up and attack the village all at once and no one knows why. They call this a Rampage. There was a really bad rampage 50 years ago that nearly destroyed the village and in response the town has created a Stronghold to stop further invasions. This looks like a new quest type with multiple monsters all at once, and a slew of different artillery options at your disposal. I could see this as being a really fun type of quest to do online with other players.

And of course the most exciting news was that there will be a demo in January with more details to come later. That is far earlier than I expected and I now have to finish up my back catalogue of games in like the next month.

And that about wraps it up. Cpacom said that they will be sharing weapon preview videos for all 14 types very soon and if they do the way they used to do it, we’ll get one new video a day for 2 weeks. "You guys heard that?" Mimic spoke suddenly, dropping counting the money on his hands as Kai continued writing as Kurono looked around with an arched eyebrow.

"I don't hear nothing." The man mumbled but soon a louder "tsssss" was heard. Kai immediatly widened GIS yes at the sound and shot from his chair.

"EveryONE DOWN-!" it was too late. Ink of many colors was exploded inside his office, creating a colorful ambient as the three dirty man blinked in shock before Kai gritted hid teeth together, hives started to appear and his right eye twitched in anger as he heard many gigglings from the other wall.

"BRATS!" He shouted at the top of his lungs before storming out of his room, founding three of his sons rolling of laughter on the ground as the other three giggled at his sign coming closer before the six of them stormed out of the house.

"I SWEAR TO GOD I AM PUTTING YPU SIX ON CLEANING THE TOILETS OF THIS ENTIRE HOUSE YOU PESTS-!" He stopped on the middle of his running when he saw you crouching down with the boys.

"Papa screamed at us!" Kaito, the older brother pointed at him blankly while his five other siblings nodded and cuddled over you.

"What? Why?" You asked, soon widening your eyes at the state your husband was in... wet in blue, green, purple and pink ink from head to toe.

"We were playing but then a accident happened on his office and he screamed at us!" The younger one, Kaede, fake moaned while his brother Kaori sniffled and nodded along.

"Kai!" You gasped as he twitched his eye.

"THOSE PESTS JUST THREW A INK BOMB ON MY OFFICE-!"

"We were playing!" Kagiyoshi nonchantly spoke as he showed one toy on his hand.

"Kai maybe it was a thing of the new precepts." You sighed while he glared at the six boys smirking at him.

"Those-Those kids are demons.. I swear-!"

"Yeah hon, go take a shower and I will put your clothes on the laundry.." you sighed whiel urging him to walk along with you before looking over your shoulder "Go play outside a bit boys, daddy is just stressed from work is all!"

"Yes mommy!" All the six smiled like they were little angels as Kai narrowed his eyes at them.

"Katoshi. Please wash your hands before eating." Kai sighed as the boy widened his eyes before narrowing his amber and (E/c) eyes at him.

"Dad... I'm Kagemitsu... Katoshi is right there!" He pointed at the boy with (H/c) hair already eating.

"Right... apolo-"

"Bleh!" The boy showed his tongue at him and pushed his chair to be close to yours instead.

"We have six of them, is normal to confuse kids name for God's sake." He nonchantly commented as you giggled and petted Kage's hair.

"Let him be, they soon forgive you for it."

"They don't." He commented blantly as the six nodded in union while he deadpanned.

Walking in the park you and Kai stopped by a hot dog stan and a fountain to count if everyone was still there.

"Right. Kaito, Kagiyoshi, Kagemitsu." You hugged the boys when they raised their hands and laughed when you poked each one of their cheeks. Kai smiled at the scene before he went to see the other three.

"Kaishi, Kaori..." he slowly put his gloved finger down as he saw that the youngest son of his wasn't there.

"Kaito." He called and the boy looked up "Weren't you watching your brother?"

"He is always glued to Kaori!" He exclaimed and all of the Chisakis panick, especially him and his wife.

"KAEDE!" he shouted as you called as well along with the five boys.

"Kaede!!! Where are you sweetie?!"

"I'm right here." A voice from up above caught their attention, and when Kai looked up he almost ripped his own hair out.

"CARE TO EXPLAIN WHY THE HECK YOU'RE UP THERE YOU PEST?!" He shouted as the boy shrugged and climbed out of the tree.

"Kaishi dared me to do it."

"LIAR!" the boy exclaimed in anger while you and Kai exchanged a tired look, knowing that if two of the boys started a fight, then l of them were included.

Kai sighed before grabbing four of the boys on his arms like they were bags of potatoes under his arms as they squirmed and cried for him to let go as you grabbed the two youngest hands and walked along with him.

"Curse your fertile womb woman." He mumbled to you before you arched an eyebrow at him.

"Our boys have your attitude though."

"Grandpop!!!" Three of them exclaimed as the rest of the boys smiled and went to hug the elder as Kai took a quick nap on the couch.

"Woah boys. Great to see all of you are doing..." he stopped talking as he saw Kai, not with a mask but with drawings on his face with black ink. A glass, a mustache and even some silly faces on his forehead as well with a fake mask all over his chin and lips.

"Kai..? Boys, you saw what happened with your father?" He chuckled as the boys shrugged.

"We just got here and found him sleeping there like this." Kagemitsu spoke nonchantly as his older brother nodded.

"I bet it was uncle Rappa!" Kaede spoke up suddenly as the bois nodded like it was a brilliant idea while smirking.

"I see. Kai." He shocked the man while he begrudily opened his eyes "Go wash your face my boy."

"What?" He said before Kaishi showed him a mirror and he almost jumped from his seat and ran to the bathroom. He came back moments later with face all ted from scrubbing as the boys laughed at him while Pops hidded his chuckles.

"When I put you all in time out I will see the laughter." He growled as the boys hidded behind the elder.

"Kai cmon, those boy didn't do anything. Those kids of yours took all of (Y/n)!" He smiled as the kids smirked at him.

"Those brats are the main reason why my stress levels are so high." He gritted his teeth together.

"Boomer!" Kaito exclaimed nonchantly ar his younger siblings laughed at the comment.

Puffs of air lefted his lips as he felt gentle ribs and hands on his back as you applied pressure to the many knots on his back.

"My poor husband always working and having all of this tension on his back." You cooed before kissing his neck as he hummed.

"You make it all worth it though angel... " when you lifted yourself off from him you yelped at his wrist grabbing yours and pulling you to bed with him. "How should I repay you?" You shivered when he kissed that special spot on your neck.

You two just shared a look before going to kiss as his hands gripped the hem of your shirt to pull up when-

Creaaaaaakkkk

"Mommy I cant sleep..." Kaishi mumbled while rubbing one of his eyes, messy dark brow hair as he holded his stuffed toy on one hand.

Kai just let his face fall on the crook of your neck and let out a pitiful groan as you giggled and carresed his back.

"Come on honey, you can sleep with mommy and daddy today." The boy smiled and made his way to the bed and cuddled up to you and showing a smirk to his dad.

"Why you little sh-"

"Can we sleep here too?" Kaori spoke as his younger brother yawned before the rest of teh brothers joined in as well.

Kai's amber eyes twitched before he sighed and waved his hand at the air.

"I give up. All of you, bed now." All the boys squealed happily as you giggled at your husbands look.

"Maybe tommorow?"

"I need a whole week alone with you." He groaned when Kaito slapped his chest with a 'not happening' moan.

Before he could even understand what was going on he almost puked at the immense pressure on his stomach as he widened his eyes.

"WAKE UP DADDY!" A choir of his sons voice woke him up as he grabbed a pillow to muffle his screams.

You were cooking the breakfast before hearing a bunch of giggles on the house.

"BOYS!!!!" The voice of your husband echoed on the house as you shocked your head while smilling.

Just a normal day on the the Shie Hassaikai house.
