Do you like Ice Nine Kills? 馃敧
Spencer as Patrick Bateman in the iconic American psycho poster - I feel like someone have already done this already, I mean someone MUST HAVE done it before, I'd be really disapoited in this fandom if not lmao :d

I simply, am not, there.
Something about Tumblr is already scratching my brain - I鈥檒l be aiming for daily posts here! And so, I present a little something I did inspired by the book cover for the American Psycho novel! But I wanted to apply it to Christian Bale鈥檚 face - and I flipped the pose just to show that it鈥檚 like another side to him if that makes sense? But yeah! Hope you dig this as much as I do!

a little birdie told me you watched american psycho today care to share your thoughts
Spoilers ahead!
Such an amazing fucking film.
You're just watching Patrick be... an American Psychopath. And you're constantly wondering- what is he? And the movie shows you just how depraved and evil he is behind that mask he wears upon his facade.
The mask of fitting in with all the asshole yuppies, the mask of being a person, the mask of emotions. It's all just a mask. There is. Nothing. Down to his music, his intelligence on suits, even his opinions.
Now, to get to my theory on this movie.
I personally believe that all of Patrick Bateman's murders in the movie were in his head.
Paul Allen told him he'd take a trip to London, and he's still there, very alive. 'Christie' the sex worker is fine, she just moved to another corner, and so on.
Oh don't get me wrong, I do believe Patrick will kill, but the final scenes, Patrick only shown taking his meds twice, the fact that he uses many of the 'weapons' incorrectly (the nail gun, the chainsaw) to the point that they wouldn't work and this is supposed to be realistic, shows me that the murders were in his head.
He wants to murder. He wants to do it all, but Patrick Bateman isn't going to do that. He needs to be perfect. A perfect robot like all the others. He needs to keep his mask, against his depraved desires, desptie wanting everyone to suffer like him, and from the monologue at the end, this isn't the first time it's happened, and it won't be the last.
Because he feels NOTHING.
Christian Bale deserved every award under the sun.

"In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself."
"Hey, Paul!"
