This one’s a long one, but I just have some feelings I’d like to share. At BACC someone asked me what is my favorite part of cosplaying, and I knew immediately, hands down it’s the people! It’s been less than a year since I started this cosplaying adventure, and in time I’ve met so many amazing and talented cosplayers and artists and photographers. @ambrose_cosplay and @hiremedisney were the first cosplayers I met in the staging area for the Mousequerade at D23, and even though I was terrified to even say hi, they immediately made me feel welcome and supported, and that gave me the confidence to be myself and enjoy the ride. That kind of positivity and genuine enthusiasm for our crafts and for each other’s work is why I love the cosplay community so much. . . If you’ve made it this far in the description, I’d love to know, what is your favorite part of cosplay? Why do you cosplay? What makes you love it, photograph it, paint it, appreciate it? .
