The classic Klance accidentally get married trope except its actually Hunk and Shay that do this and Shiro begins to wonder if he's losing it cause this seems like the sort of ridiculous shenanigans Lance and Keith would get up to and Hunk is supposed to be sensible.

Both Lance and Pidge are more than a little offended they didn't get to be best man/woman and Keith actually spends most of these events believing none of this was real cause he kinda got a space cold during this and it seems so out of character for those two with how together and responsible they are that he thinks this is a fever dream and is surprised when it's all over to find out it's real

Looking for Klance fic! (I know, klance in 2022…)

What I can remember about it is:

Keith comes back from overseas where he’s married to Lance and has a daughter (or child at least). They met in flight school or the army of some sort. When aliens come to Earth, Lance gets chosen via TV broadcast, along with a few other people aka Volton, but Keith stays home with their daughter. At some point Lance and the others are captured. The time Lance left home to the time he returns is about a year, I believe; he reunited with his family at an airport/tarmac. Lastly, Hunk and Shay are married with a child/children; Allura and Shiro are married with twins (that’s how old this is).

I hope this is enough to narrow down the ao3 work. Also, can’t remember if it had chapters or not…

- When does the AU update?

usually once a week on my patreon on thursdays, once I have enough pages for an update (4-7) it gets posted on socials, which means there’s usually 1 update a month

- Will the backstory between Keith and Lance be explained?

yes, it's important to the story, so it will be explained in due time, but I have to keep you guessing until then 👀

- How does the VR work in this AU?

it's a futuristic type of VR! it's fully immersive and not how realistic VR works, only thing u can't do in the game is feel intense physical pain since it's still supposed to be fun, if u die in the game u do NOT die irl lol

- I'm confused about the setting

this story is an AU taking place in a similar world to the canon one (all the canon tech, sci fi stuff etc technically exist whether I end up showing some of it in-comic or not) they attend a space-oriented school which I'm referring to as the Garrison for simplicity since it's the name we're familiar with, it's a blend of the canon one and regular college (I'm not sure if there's a better word for it)

also like in canon, aliens exist in this AU and some of them go to school there (this aspect is mainly for fun, if I were to draw them as humans nothing would change, it’s also because I still wanted to have Kosmo be a space wolf)

- If there are aliens in this Au does it mean Keith is part Galra?

yess, it will get mentioned here and there throughout the comic, also his mom still left to go to space for a few years, just not as long as in canon

- Are there other pairings in this AU?

Adam x Shiro, Hunk x Shay, Zethrid x Ezor /might/ pop up here and there but only for a few panels

- Will [any other character] show up?

there will be small cameos for other characters here and there, as u have seen, Pidge and Hunk are the most recurring, followed by Shiro and Kosmo, others might show up but don’t expect long interactions!

- How diddly darn long is this comic gonna be

too long (I HOPE we’re around halfway or more than halfway but I’m not sure)

- is this comic going to be printed?

Season 8 made Allurance, Shiro X Curtis and excuse me but Shay and Hunk is canon (paladins handbook says that Shay has a thing for Hunk and plus, she is the only one visiting hunk when he is at the hospital.
