Do you think that taekook were at atomix alone without the members like other taekookers believe?
Hi anon!
Would there be a problem if I did? Would there be a problem if they actually were? Does it actually make a difference whether they were or weren’t with the others?

Finished watching 'The Meddling Monk' and in conclusion—
They have ONE session on physical defence at the Academy and in that session they teach only ONE move: how to whack someone soundly over the head (preferably with a stick).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(The Doctor and the Monk are SOOO silly together help. Also they have weirdly similar speech patterns so. Chewing on that a bit.)

so interesting that i thought i didnt rly care for modern art as a whole bc ive never liked certain artists from the last century (never, of course, to the point that i would ever endorse destruction of the art; but just that i didnt like it), only to go to a modern art museum where i found other art infinitely more interesting and thought-provoking to me than duchamp or picasso have ever been

re my most recent gtms post: y’all do not get to decide if it was uncalled for for me to acknowledge the last year’s worth of events. it is not up to you. you do not have to like how or that i did it: it is not up to you, i do not care how you feel about it. as i said in my post, i did not make it as a call out, i made it as an acknowledgement to move forward. and to the people whose reaction was “why didn’t you just say no/that you were uncomfortable”: re-evaluate that take. i am not interested in dragging this out further than it needs to be and will not be addressing it again.
#also a clear example of why i do not feel safe talking to her personally is how she reacted to this:#she still views this as something i did to her and not that i felt pressured and unsafe#and it is quite simply not my responsibility to reopen wounds to spell out for the person who caused them why they hurt#not to mention that post was never meant for her—she is blocked for a reason#it was not meant for her to find and read it was not meant to send hate her way it was just to acknowledge the elephant in the room#that is it.#and yeah i knew somebody was always gonna send it to her but i can’t control what other people do#it doesn’t change that it was never meant for her#but all of this is irrelevant bc even if i did talk to her privately that post would still be necessary bc the Point is acknowledgement#i could not continue about the Point Of My Blog (gt and my ocs) with this unacknowledged#and do not brush off what i have to say just bc she makes nice art and is nice to You#that does not make my experience illegitimate i cannot believe i have to say this#also people are saying i hate neurodivergent people bc she’s ND like ?? i am also ND it excuses nothing#not to mention she knows the personal details of my traumas that make boundaries difficult to set#but however much i struggled i DID set them and they were blatantly ignored#sometimes less than 24 hours after being reinforced#anyway as i said i will not be addressing this again but this post had to be made bc some of y’all desperately missed the point

"the magnus protocol had a whole ARG beforehand? what?"
yes! it did!
"oh so I need to have participated in this whole big thing to actually understand the podcast?"
not at all! from the official post-mortem put out by RQ, "while the ARG was not something that was necessary to participate in to understand the magnus protocol, it was designed to contain a wealth of background story and context that would enrich any player's listening experience."
"a wealth of background context that would enrich my listening experience 👀👀👀 how can I learn about this?"
SO glad you asked. sadly, many of the materials made for the arg have been taken down since the game ended 😔 (ex., the official OIAR, magnus institute, and bonzoland websites. (edit ii: I found partial wayback machine captures! see below) though @strangehauntsuk is still up!), so we're a bit low on primary sources, but in terms of learning about what happened:
for a starting point, I would really recommend this video by @pinkelotjeart
youtube
it's super accessible, it was made in real time as the game progressed and follows the solving and revelation of clues as they happened, it hits all the major points of the mystery and moments of community insanity while eliding some of the nitty gritty puzzle grinding, 10/10 would recommend.
here's the official summary put out by RQ, and I'd recommend reading through this once you've already gotten a basic handle on the flow of the story and the basic connections between major clues and events. it's got some fun behind-the-scenes info and lays out the thought process behind the puzzles in simple terms
here's the full masterdoc of all puzzles and resolutions put together in the statement remains discord server. masterdoc my absolute BELOVED, masterdoc my bethrothed, masterdoc my soul mate. I'd recommend this as a second port of call after the above video as it either contains all details about the puzzles or links to other expanded docs that do.
here's the narrative summary doc that lays out all the plot and lore discovered in three pages of plain prose. if you just want to get to the good bits as fast as you can and get blasted directly in the face by contextless lore bombs, this is the doc for you. if you don't want to start with the video, I'd say this is another good entry point.
once you've got the lay of the land, some of the game materials that I found particularly interesting include:
the in-universe east germany expat usenet forum, with all content translated into english. most of it is irrelevant space filler with occasional extremely sus lore, but I still found it fun to read through. love to soak in some fictional forum drama.
chdb.xlsx, the spreadsheet of the names of all the children the protocol 'verse magnus institute was studying/experimenting on. EDIT: here is a version of the sheet without any annotations and with all of the names in their original order, kudos to @theboombutton for catching that the commonly shared copy had the order swapped around.
klaus.xls, a (very corrupted) spreadsheet with what looks like the classifications of a bunch of old OIAR cases.
EDIT: have a few more saved materials from the game that I forgot to include.
an in-universe audio ad to apply to the OIAR that ran before archives episodes and kicked off the whole game.
an in-universe video ad to apply to the OIAR, this one is an official upload that's still up from the game itself. you can subscribe to the OIAR's official youtube channel today, if you so chose.
the robo-voicemail greeting from the OIAR's phone line.
EDIT II:
here is a wayback machine capture of the OIAR's official website.
here is a wayback machine capture of the bonzoland website.
(pretty sure both of the above captures just archived the home pages, though I haven't tried clicking all of the links. I'd say they're still worth looking at, the home pages give a good window into the vibes.)
once you start poking around in these documents, you'll find a bunch of links to others with further information, the materials I've included here just contain what I feel to be the most relevant details to getting a broad feel for the whole game. once again, huge shout out to the statement remains server, I was barely in there as the ARG was in progress and only ducked my head in every so often to find links like these. true mvps of the fandom.

I've been writing for a while so I thought I'd share some writing tips I've learned along the way.
1. Never sacrifice the flow for a quirky line.
That bit of dialogue or flowery paragraph you really like but it kinda disrupts the flow? Scrap it. I know it hurts, but you need to. If you really want to keep it, find somewhere else to put it where it actually fits in.
2. Dialogue is a dance.
Dialogue should go at the pace of an actual conversation, back and forth with little breaks and pauses. Add as little dialogue tags as possible while still making it clear who is speaking. You can also describe what is happening during a pause in the conversation rather than saying they paused, unless the pause is important.
3. Show don't tell is a guideline, not a rule.
Show don't tell is a very useful guideline, but if you're ALWAYS showing it can get exhausting to read. Skip the boring bits and just tell us what happened, then we can get to the good stuff.
4. If it's boring to write, it's probably boring to read.
If you can cut out a whole scene with little consequence to the story, you probably should. As I said before, you don't always have to show us, you can always tell us.
5. Everything needs to have a purpose.
I know there are probably lots of interesting or cute scenes where your characters are just fucking around, but if it doesn't develop character, relations, conflict, or plot, why should we care? Definitely still write them if they make you happy, but if you're gonna add it to your final draft, make sure it matters.
6. You don't need to explain everything all at once.
I know it feels tempting to put all the lore, and all the character's intentions, and reasonings into the first few chapters, but please refrain, you can reserve that for your character and worldbuilding sheets. Instead, take the time to let us get to know the characters, and the world, in the same way we'd get to know a real person. Make your exposition as seamless and natural as possible. It will take practice to know when to reveal information and when to let us wonder, but you'll get there.
7. Write in a way that comes naturally.
I know you probably have an author you wanna write just like, but that is unlikely to happen. Embrace your natural writing style and perfect it, rather than trying to be something you're not. Writing is an art, you need to find your own style and polish it as best you can.
8. Try to make us feel connected by cutting out certain words like "felt".
"Chad felt like a glass of water." Can be replaced with, "Chad was thirsty, so he reached for a glass of water." Both sentences tell us Chad wants a glass of water, but one makes us feel more connected to Chad than the other. Though both sentences have their time and place, you want to make your audience feel as close to their protagonist as possible. Make them feel like they're there, rather than just an onlooker.
9. We don't need to know every physical detail of your character.
I know you probably spent ages creating the perfect characters and you want to give us the perfect image of what they look like, but it can get monotonous and boring, why do we care that your character has brown eyes unless the colour has some sort of significance? Try to list off only the most notable features of your character and put focus only on the relevant details. Sometimes you can even not describe them at all and throw in little bits of information about their appearance for the audience to put together. We read to imagine, not to have a perfect image painted for us when we could be getting to the plot.
10. You're allowed to be vague.
Allow your audience to assume things, with some things you can just be lazy and let your audience's imagination do the work for you. Of course, don't do this with important things, but you can save so much time you might've spent researching an irrelevant topic when you can just be vague about it. You don't have to know everything you're writing about, so long as you know the bits that matter.
11. Writing is a skill that takes practice.
Don't be so hard on yourself if your writing is a bit cringe, we've all been there. The important part is that you research how to get better and keep writing those super cringe chapters. One day you'll reread something from a while ago and realize you're actually not as bad as you thought.
12. Leave your work to rest.
I know you wanna start editing right away, but once you've finished, leave it for at least a month. The longer you leave it the better, but that depends on your attention span. A month to six months is good if you're really impatient but want a good result. If you keep writing in that time your skills will continue to improve, then you'll be editing that draft with fresh eyes and fresh skills.
And if you're a fanfic author, I usually leave my chapters for a week before editing and posting.
Hope this helps anyone struggling, I thought this might be especially relevant now with nanowrimo.
I recently realized how much knowledge I've been accumulating over the years, I definitely have more but this is all I can think of for now.
I'm no writing guru, but if anyone has anything they're struggling with, I can do my best to help you out, so dont hesitate to ask questions.

paired with their often intimate and violent subject matter, i find the incidental way tamsyn muir frames women and their bodies throughout the locked tomb series to be refreshing bordering on radical
consider harrowhark; in the first book we see her as gideon sees her. she's a hideous ghoul with a flat ass and no tits, she's a delicate sopping wet beauty with a sharp face and angel bow lips, she's a triumphant and awe inspiring master necromancer screaming and fighting drenched in her own blood. the shape and condition of her body is allowed to take on meaning contextually based entirely on the situation and how gideon feels about their relationship in any given moment
she then spends the second book hobbling around with a sword twice her size, ripping apart her body to use as a weapon and passing out in her own vomit, struggling to eat and sleep – she and puts herself through absolute hell and never once thinks anything of it, and we're made to mourn this not as the desecration of a beautiful woman but as a manifestation of a human being's despair and self loathing, and we see this specifically contrasted against the care gideon tries to take when inhabiting her body during the last act
it's jarring, in nona, when we're suddenly made aware that her body could be perceived or valued as a commodity, when pyrrha is assumed to be nona's pimp. it feels strange and horrifying when we learn alecto's form was modeled for a doll, learn that she was given a woman's body as a display of ownership, an alternative to being consumed, and as we're processing this we watch gideon, paul, and ianthe, immediately setting aside their conflict in a desperate scramble to preserve harrow's body for no reason other than because it is harrow's and they love her
feminist fiction often focuses on women's relationship to a body which is valued more than the person within it – and that is a worthy experience to explore – but as a transsexual butch(ish) dyke, i have never really had the privilege of seeing my body as a precious commodity, never felt like it couldn't or shouldn't be a sight of violence and disgust, and as a result the locked tomb books have made me feel seen in a way that few other works of fiction have?
we as an audience are not made aware of how attractive any character would be outside of the context of our lesbian POV characters' perspectives, their relationship to patriarchal beauty standards is an utterly irrelevant detail we're never told and only occasionally glimpse through implication. the women in the locked tomb books are simply free to exist, to have experiences and feelings, to love and hate and grieve and suffer and die like anybody else, and to have those experiences reflected in their physical vessels
it's a perspective that's so fundamental and obvious that to praise muir for it for it feels almost patronizing, but i also think it's a huge part of what's made the series so resonant for so many queer women and i feel that that's worthy of highlighting and celebrating

Collection of Free Art Tutorials
I don't usually make text post on this blog, but a nice artist I know was asking for tutorials a while back and I forgot to send some to them while in school. So here's a post on it since it's easiest to grab and go this way. :)
This list focuses on the basics. I'm focusing on the foundations of art, so medium is generally irrelevant and you can use physical or digital with these. You'll have to google more specific tutorials on things like character design and such.
One of the biggest pieces of advice I can give to you is strangely, introduce things to yourself one at a time. In art class, we took whole topics week by week. For high school, we did a few exercises then spent a week drawing/painting and doing your piece(s). For basic art 1 & 2 in college, we did 1-2 exercises and then did 1-2 drawings, followed by HW (which we turned in next week) and sketchbook practice (which she'd check at midpoints). For basic art lessons with a tutor, we did practice then our own art. You can see the pattern here - the point is don't be distressed if you don't get everything at once, or the lesson in 2 weeks, or the lesson in 3 years - we practice and do a lot over time, and you'll pick up on things you need to improve naturally and through help with others. Take time to be proud of your art in mini steps too, even if it's not the best! You tried and attempting to climb an obstacle over and over again before finally leapfrogging it is still progress to it.
Overall tutorials:
DrawABox.com is a site that's dedicated to art exercises and practicing when you can. They talk about the basics of art as well as how practice is important. It can get tough at times and it's ok to stop and do a balance of say those practices and doodles if you choose to try and do all of it's stuff - but you don't have to either. It's just a nice basic education done by some art nerds who like going hard.
Ethering Brothers - these guys are famous for their 40billion tutorials. If you need help on a specific idea, search their gallery and you'll likely find something.
Thundercluck's Art Fundamentals - She did a good huge ass tutorials on how things work, and it's the least overwhelming of the 3 I got in this section, so I suggest it as one of the first to look at for digital stuff.
Art Instructions Blog - Another good & simpler website that goes great into fundamentals. They focus more on traditional art but if you're digital, you can replicate most of the techniques - art fundamentals and subjects cover all mediums. Very important
Drawsh - Particularly notes on Construction: construction is the basics of building an illusion of a 3D image on a page. Figuring out how to build shape gives depth to your work, and learning how to see in 3D lets you be able to draw an item then move it around in your head (sometimes, when you're good enough, don't be afraid to pull out a reference or use live subjects). Construction is how to figure out the foundation of your drawing, and good planning = better picture! This link starts at the back, hit newer post to go forward.
There's a lot on anatomy and other nitty gritty details for when you want to practice those as well.
Griz and Norm's Assorted tips - Long time artist talk about various tips and tricks they use in art and how to avoid certain pitfalls. It's eclectic but great to look through.
James Gurney's Blog - He's got a lot of thoughts, a lot of tips, and a lot of adventures he catalogues. It's the least organized out of these but fortunately he has plenty of tags and most post have something neat going on. He's fantastic!🥰
BEFORE ALL OTHER BASICS….
How to Make Your Art Look Nice: Mindset
There's a lot of artist with different perspectives on how to approach art and your mindset while doing it, but the general consensus is that it's a process and sometimes you have to remind yourself to enjoy art!
Line
How to draw straight lines without a ruler. …but for the love of all that's good do NOT feel bad about using one! This talks about how to hold your pencil and how to do some good freehand stuff, some good practice.
5 grips for holding a Pencil for Drawing - This goes for pencil, pen, tablet, etc.. Get comfortable and figure out what's right for you and your pictures. I'd like to note that paintbrush holding will overlap, but some will differ.
A few line drawing exercises that help with line confidence.
Types of line drawings & what they are.
Contour Line & exercises with Mrs. Cook - Contour lines are one of the first art exercises I do in all the drawing classes I've taken. The good news is that they're surprisingly fun & look neat, even the blind contours!
Good deep thoughts on lines and how to use them.
Line Weight Tutorial
Lineart Weight Tips!
How to show variation in your line art: part 1 & part 2.
Some teacher's Drawing 1 & 2 lessons put online.
Light, Shadow, & Value
An introduction to tonal values.
Why values are important. The main reasons are that they give depth to a piece, and values literally shape our world.
Tonal Values: Everything you need to know
How does light work & the basics on Light
Light & Shadow in Art - much more in depth of the above! Highly recommended if you have time to spare.
Understanding grayscale/monochrome art. Great for shading & planning.
A guide to Cross Hatching (and hatching in general) - As a side note, crosshatching is one of the early things taught as it marries Line + Value into a nice neat package and helps add form with just a pen.
Crosshatching for Comics
Learn more about coloring by working in grayscale
How to Make Your Art Look Nice - Contrast!
Using lighting to make your art look nice.
Some light & shadow classifications.
Edges - notes on how they work in shading.
Color
A side note - color theory doesn't differ much, but color MIXING will change between mediums. If you're doing traditional colored pencil, you're overlapping 2 or more pigments on top of each other. If you're doing traditional paint, you're mixing & creating a solution/emulsion (depends on the pigment and binding) of pigments with the particles reflecting light in different ways. In digital, overlapping colors & blending colors depend on how the program you use calculates it if you're not just putting 2 color side by side. This just means you have to adjust your mixing when you switch between them. :)
Slawek Fedorczuk's Light & Color Tips - also shows how to guide through a scene.
The Color Tutorial Part 1 & 2 by Sashas - A personal favorite.
Color Studies 1-6 by Sheri Doty Amazingly nice breakdown on how color works in simple terms.
Sarah Culture's Tips on Color
The value of underpainting
A few notes on reflective light.
Experimental color techniques with Alai Ganuza: first post, second, & third.
Color zones of the face charts
Composition
Good Tips on Composition
Here's an example of how you can search the Etherington Brothers' stuff and get like 10 tutorials and tips on one subject. Composition & Cover Design, Shadow Composition, Two Line Composition - plus more.
How to make your art look nice: Thumbnailing!
And don't be afraid to make silly thumbnails or sketches.
Composition Examples - charts like these are great when you can't think of something yourself. There's no shame in using them.
Flow and Rhythm
Formulas for landscape composition.
Perspective
Perspective Drawing Tutorial by Julie Duell
Linear & Atmospheric Perspective Guide
One Point Perspective City Tut by Swingerzetta
Niso Explains Perspective - these are great for drawing figures in perspective!
Putting characters into scenes and drawing backgrounds
Backgrounds that make your character stand out!
Using background detail to guide the eye.
Odds and Ends
I shit you not, probably 1/3rd of my color, value, & structure knowledge comes from pixel art since I've done so much of it and it is all about challenging yourself to do the most you can with limitations. Check out lospec's tutorial database for fun and see how it compares to art techniques you're doing - even if you never try a medium, it's always interesting to see how it works. :D
How to Make Your Art Look Nice: Reference Images & Style, Pushing Proportions, and developing style.
Foervraengd talks about how he expanded his comfort zone with concept art & landscape drawing.
Luna Art talks about what they're thinking when doing concept art.
Repeating visual motifs in character design looks cool.
Eric's Thoughts on Drawing Backgrounds and Props.
Show vs. Tell: Why Visual is Not Optional in comics.
The Lost Vocabulary of Visual Story Telling Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, & Day 4.
Traditional Animation's 2 Digital Library books, The Know-How of Cartooning by Ken Hultgren & Advanced Animation by Preston Blair are two books from the golden age of animation they have up on their site for free viewing!
Animation resources dot org has a lot of cool stuff. Here's Nat Falk's How to Make Animated Cartoons (part 1). Their pages on Instruction & Theory are a good start.
Books
Good news: the internet archive has a TON of resources. Make sure to check around and toggle filters, it's a bit weird with organization. For example, a book can be under art or drawing - techniques, depending on who catalogues it.
Andrew Loomis is someone artist tend to die-hard reccomend. His work is collected here & here on the internet archive (one is Andrew Loomis, the other is Loomis, Andrew - thanks). I own Figure Drawing for All It's Worth and I recommend checking all of his stuff out, especially if you're having trouble with bodies and hands.
The Animator's Survival Guide by Richard Williams is mandatory in animation classes for good reason - it's fantastic!
Perspective for Comic Book Artist by David Chelsea is great for any type of artist. So is Extreme Perspective & Perspective in Action.
Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics, Reinventing Comics, & Making Comics. The first one is on the internet archive, the second two are likely avaliable at your library or at a bookstore as they're pretty popular.
Speaking of comics, Drawing Comics the Marvel Way has been a favorite of comic artist for years no matter what comic book companies and artist you like, it's a good introduction.
Anything by or endorsed by James Gurney, Color and Light: A Guide for the Realistic Painter is one of my favorites (this is his official page but you can get them elsewhere for cheaper too).
Art resource blogs with good tagging systems: @artist-refs , @help-me-draw , @helpfulharrie , @art-res , @drawingden , & @how-to-art
Lastly, I suggest if you find something you like online for free, SAVE IT! Whether it is through the Wayback Machine, screenshotting a whole webpage, reblogging/retweeting something, or putting it on pinterest, digital media is fickle and tends to go up in smoke when you least expect it. I have a partially organized Pinterest board that helped me find most of the stuff I wanted to keep. Figure out what works for you and save what you can.

Obey me brothers finding out that YOU have decided to match clothes with MAMMON
My first headcannon! So excited 😆 hope you enjoy!
Lucifer
Wait you‘ve decided to match clothes with Mammon?
How peculiar… well it definitely is an interesting fashion choice..
Does he like it? Oh it‘s fine.
No it’s not.
Why did you choose to match clothes with him?! I mean he’s a perfectly fine partner to match with!
Will try to show you how pissed he is but would rather die than actually tell you that he’s upset
He‘ll be more upset at Mammon too
He‘ll lash out on him more often
Would probably do it less if Mammon would stop gloating
He‘ll try to interfere subtly, like pointing out flaws in the outfit even though his fit isn’t really fashionable either
Oh you picked it out?
Well then the outfit is amazing!
Don’t you dare roll your eyes at him MC.
Since that doesn’t work he just strings Mammon on the ceiling
After that’s done he‘ll try to subtly hint that he wants to match outfits with you too..
Mammon
You wanna match outfits with him? Really?
This man is over the god damn moon
He would literally wear a frilly pink dress to school if it meant that he could match with you
Will show you his entire closet of outfits to let you pick out something
Would also clean his room if you asked him too
When you guys match he will literally be smug about it for the whole week
Like; my human matched with me, what about your suck ass love life
Will NOT shut up about it and will talk to literally anyone about how much you like him and how awesome he is and about how cute you are
When he senses his brothers envy he literally smirks with a face like; „you wish that was you huh“
He rubs it in so bad
But he is genuinely so happy that you wanted to match with him
Like even though Lucifer strung him upside down he was still smiling like a lovesick fool
when you walked in RAD together with your cute matching outfits he literally shined with confidence
His smile never left his face for the whole day
He even asked someone to take a picture of you two so he could always remember today
He has the picture as a print framed in his room and as his lockscreen
This outfit is his new all time favourite now and he wears it whenever he needs a confidence boost
Would 100% want to do matching outfits again
Leviathan
You matched outfits with Mammon?!?
That is literally so unfair
When you guys walked down together he literally whined
he knows you wouldn’t match with him, but Mammon?!?
Mammon‘s not even that fashionable!
Will literally say everything wrong with the outfit even pointing out irrelevant details
„The sowing is uneven and the button should be slightly more to the left oh and-!“
Wha- you picked it out! Oh shit
He didn’t mean it like that! Honest🤨
Will sulk
Everywhere.
Maybe if you feel enough pity you‘ll wear something else!
And maybe you might match with him..!?
Oh it’s hopeless, he‘ll just sit in his bathtub watching romance animes wondering why you didn’t pick him
More importantly why you chose MAMMON over him
Please match with this poor boy I don’t think he can take it
Satan
Huh..?
HUH?!
Why did you match with him?!?
What do you mean because you wanted to?!?
Unlike other people *cough cough* he doesn’t criticise your outfits
Instead he compliments it, being all sly like:
„Wow you have a great sense of fashion. Maybe you could style me next time?“
Will literally turn this little ‚inconvenience‘ into a way to get you to match with HIM
And you being all sweet will be like; sure Satan!
He‘s one sly mf I‘ll give him that..
Asmodeus
You should’ve matched with him sweetie
I mean he‘s wayyy more fashion forward than Mammon! Besides he won’t force you to match with him 🤨
Besides that outfit is atrocious!
What do you mean you chose the fit?!
What do you mean you WILLINGLY wanted to match with Mammon?!?!
Panics
He only meant it if it was Mammons selection!
Wait don’t be upset!
Is genuinely confused as to why you matched with Mammon
Tries to prove to you that he’s worthy of matching with you
When that doesn’t work he‘ll try to make you jealous
Yes MC look at me! I‘m matching with this random demon, don’t you wanna match with me now?!?!
What d‘you mean ,good‘ for me?!?
You‘re supposed to be jealous damnit!😩
Beelzebub
Isn‘t actually that disturbed by you matching with Mammon because he thinks it’s an accident
Typical sweet Beel
He just doesn’t understand the hype around two people wearing the same outfit on the same day
Then Asmo told him you guys matched purposefully
So you wanted to look like Mammon?
Why you look beautiful on your own?
He still doesn’t get it
Oh well
Maybe it’s better this way
You don’t need more people to hate on your outfit choice for no reason anyway
Belphegor
Absolutely despises it
And is very open about it too
“MC why did you match with Mammon, you could do so much better like matching with me”
Will try to convince you to change
Please MC!
You can’t cuddle with that outfit on..
When you don’t comply he sulks
Him and Levi= sulking buddies
Unlike Levi, will try to find a way to get Mammons or your outfit wet aka ruined so you have to change
When you get upset at his antics he will apologise and tell you how he wants to match with you as well
You feel bad and agree
He grins a happy smile
That doesn’t mean he won’t not be upset about you matching with Mammon till you match with him

Warnings: 🔞MDNI🔞, age difference, reader in heat, p in v, grinding, vulgar language, dirty talk, themes of infidelity
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were one of the best hunters of your generation among the clan. Your skill and prowess only grew once you reached full maturity. You were a force to be reckoned with and even caught the eye of the Olo’eyktan himself. Of course it did help that you grew to become close friends with his youngest son, although the idea did come as a shock to most of the clan members, seeing how you were soft spoken and reformed while Lo’ak was… well Lo’ak. Jake seemed to take more of an interest in your skills after you presented them pushed to their limits during your first RDA raid.
Jake relied on you for a lot of the heavy lifting when it came to making sure the party’s ground assets were always tightly formed, so when his eyes scanned the blue faces of the na’vi before him during the scheduled war party meeting, he was taken aback to find you nowhere in sight. As he released the members after the meeting, his eyes caught Lo’ak before he could make it too far, wasting no time in calling him over, who with a roll of his eyes, begrudgingly turned to face his father. “Y/N wasn’t at today’s meeting. You know anything about that?”, “No sir, but she was in a bit of a mood this morning.” Lo’ak grumbled, his expression shifting to garner a look of frustration as a faint memory of the day’s earlier occurrences played back in his mind.
Jake’s brows creased at his son’s tone, “A mood? What D'you mean a mood?”, “I mean when I met up with her today she was acting like she was trying to avoid me. Even hissed at me when I touched her shoulder, like I had hit her or something.”. Jake’s weight shifted as he rested his hands on the ammo packs attached to his hips, “Yeah? So what did you say to ‘er to piss her off.” Jake’s tone turned a bit more pointed as his eyes narrowed on Lo’ak. It seemed despite how much his son grew, he was still a pro at causing trouble. Lo’ak’s tail whipped as he became defensive, his muscles slightly tensing as he could feel the impending scolding that was sure to follow the familiar look in Jake’s eyes, “Nothing! She seemed fine last night, I don’t know why she’s acting like this… although…”, “Although what? Out with it.”.
Lo’ak cocked his head for moment, his eyes focused on something in the distance as he tried to piece together certain details from his encounter with you, “She did… smell different.”. Jake was about to shoot a comeback at his son for the irrelevant detail, that was until a sudden thought crossed his mind, “You said she was trying to avoid you… was it just you or did it look like she was trying to avoid anyone else?”. Lo’ak shrugged, now creasing his own brows as he tried to remember, “I don’t know, maybe? She seemed in a rush though. Why?”. It was a loose piece of evidence to go off of, but if his hunch was right, he needed to find you. Make sure that you were ok. Either you were in a really shit mood and needed to blow off some steam or you were in heat.
“I’ll find her.” Jake spoke briskly as he turned away from Lo’ak and began heading toward his ikran to ride into the forest, “What? Wait- dad I’ll come with you.” An immediate red flag. Although the idea of having an extra set of hands to bring you back wasn’t a bad idea, if his suspicions were correct he feared Lo’ak probably wouldn’t have to back bone to resist the urges coaxed out from your pheromones, “No, stay here. Just make sure there’s fresh water for her in her marui, I’ll bring her back.”. A faint “yes sir” was heard as Jake took off on his ikran. There were a few places he thought to look, but you couldn’t have gotten far, not if your hormones were already acting up before you had left.
Surprisingly it didn’t take long for Jake to catch onto your scent, and as Lo’ak had stated before, he too could attest that it was definitely different. More sweet, more… alluring. Jake found you only a couple miles from the omaticaya’s hideout in the mountains. His scent had guided him to a cave still decently close to the hideout, almost dangerously so, considering how easily he found you. His heart ached as your strained whimpers began to echo in his ear. As he grew closer, pieces of your clothing littered the cave floor, discarded carelessly in efforts to rid yourself of the suffocating garments. Although he tried to prepare himself for the scene he was seconds from walking in on, he still found his breath catching in his throat, swallowing hard as he caught your form straddling a large soaked rock next to the wall of water on the other side of the cave. The waterfall made the rock sleek and slippery, an easy surface to grind on when your feeble little fingers weren’t doing the job.
You weren’t necessarily soaked, but a generous layer of water rolled off your skin, your face completely flushed in color, eyes glossed with desperate tears, nails digging into the rock for some sort of traction. The small space reeked of your arousal, your pheromones now rampant in the confined space of the cave. It wasn’t necessarily the sound of his voice that took you out of your trance, seeing as how the roaring of the waterfall beside you was filling that part of your senses. No, instead it was his smell. Of course you knew it by now, it was similar to Lo’ak’s, but more musky. Even in a casual setting when you weren’t horny out of you mind, you still caught yourself taking small whiffs of him.
Your head nearly snaps in his direction as the foreign scent intrudes your nostrils and fuck did you just look so helpless, practicing crying out his name when the two of you lock eyes. ‘Keep it together, Jake. This isn’t what you’re here for’, Jake tries to remind himself as he slowly approaches you with his hands out in front of him as if you were some wild beast to tame, “Hey there, princess. I’m here to take you home.” Jake’s voice drops to a low and soothing tone, yet it does little to calm your nerves, only infuriating the swarm of butterflies that were nesting in your stomach. An involuntary moan escapes you when his voice sends a shiver down your spine, along with the cute little nickname he calls you when you’re off duty.
“I cannot… it burns!” You mewl, mindlessly fucking yourself on the stone surface, “Please- ma’ Olo’eyktan.. make it stop.” Your words are choked out and hoarse, making the sting in Jake’s chest intensify seeing you in this state. “You know I can’t do that, kid…” He says trying to sound as sympathetic as he can, inching a few steps closer. He’s trying to get a grip on himself, but he’d be lying if he denied that your pheromones weren’t already enacting reactions from his own body, the painstakingly growing tightness in his loincloth being the most obvious. Even in your inebriated state however, you are no fool. Your eyes drift between his thighs as he moves closer until Jake is within reach, your eager little fingers looping around the band of his loincloth with a swiftness, pulling him closer than he had originally planned to.
Your cheek pressed to his soft belly, as your hands drifting down to his thighs, running your hands up and down them as you inhaled his scent like a drug, “Mm- but you can… you must want to. Do you not smell me? I can make you feel so good ma’ Olo’eyktan.. please.” You purr breathlessly, fighting against his hands as he tries to move out of your touch, obviously without being too rough so that he doesn’t hurt you; an act that is becoming increasingly harder the more his head begins to spin with the smell of your pheromones. “Yeah.. yeah I smell you a little too well, kid… but I need you to be a good girl and come back to base with me ok?”.
His words fall on deaf ears however, when the hand he uses to gently push your face back up to look at him sparks a new fire in your eyes. With his clammy palm pressed against your cheek, you gently shift your face to the side nuzzling into it, “You are sweating, ma’ Olo’eyktan.. let me help~.” And before he can do anything to stop you, your lips are wrapping around his thumb, sucking on it tenderly, blinking up at him with an expression that is far too arousing to be played off as innocent. “Shit…” he curses under his breath, swallowing the buildup of saliva that had accumulated in his cheeks. Your lips follow as Jake attempts to withdraw his thumb from your mouth until you release it with a soft pop sound.
This was bad, his body felt hot all over, his cock now raging beneath his tewng and while he hated to admit it, your tactics of persuasion were starting to work. You could tell all he needed was that final push. “Fuck Y/N… you can’t be doing stuff like that.” He huffs, wiping the sweat off his forehead with the back of his hand, “But why? You are enjoying it, are you not?” You purr as a slight cheeky smirk forms on your lips as your face lowers to nuzzle at the very prominent bulge in his loincloth. With your eyes half lidded and dripping in lust, your nimble fingers begin to undo the packs of ammunition on his waist, clicking the clasps open before moving to the strings of his tewng, which Jake does nothing to stop, watching as it falls to his feet. His chest rises and falls at a consistent rate as he watches you press his cock between your breasts completely lost for words whilst you moan at just the contact of his hardness.
“Please Jake… I am in pain. My womb aches to be full of your children.” You whine, continuing to grind your cunt into the slippery rock. “Fuck…” Jake practically growls to himself knowing his restraint was slipping away all too quickly. He really did try to hold himself back as much as he could, but even the strongest of Na’vi men were vulnerable to a woman in heat. So when Jake moved to lay you on your back with your calves on either side of his shoulders, he told himself it was inevitable. His eyes wandering all around your shimmering skin until they landed on your intimates, a low more lustrous growl now breaking from his throat, “Shit princess look at you… you’ve just been abusing this little pussy haven’t you? All puffy and red…” he hums hoarsely as his fingers caress the folds of your cunt, gathering the slick just so smear it onto his throbbing cock.
A broken and needy whine rings in Jake’s ears as you attempt to buck your hips closer to his cock that seemed to tease you as it stood in the air, just inches from your soaked entrance, “Please- please Jake, do not make me wait, I have suffered for long enough.”, “Shh… I know sweet thing… I’ll take real good care of you, alright?” He hums and your heart practically skips a beat when you feel the fat tip of his cock finally press against your entrance, “Oh please, please, please- haah!” Your jaw drops as your Olo’eyktan pushes into your sopping cunt, the warmth of your walls eagerly welcoming him in. Your fingers are quick to dig into his biceps as he rests his hands beside your waist to steady himself.
Your back arches as you become blatantly and utterly filled to the brim with him, his cock reaching places your fingers have never had the chance to. Your eyes roll back before fluttering closed as his tip pressing tenderly against the opening of your cervix, your entire body feel both incredibly light yet so terribly fragile and the only thing that was stopping you from breaking was him. “You alright kid?” Jake’s raspy voice asks from above you. When your eyes open again the same siren-like look is extremely present as your body now demands for more. “Y-yes please… please.” Is all you are able to muster, grinding your hips to meet his still ones, desperate to get them to move. “Jesus… you’re gonna get me in trouble, kid.” Jake groans, finally reeling back his hips only to snap them forward, bucking your body with it.
Another distant curse is whispered under Jake’s breath as his hips still again once he’s bottomed out for a second time. The calm before the storm it would seem, as Jake’s hands move from the stone surface to your hips, fingers digging into your sides possessively as he finally begins fucking into you at a even pace. His thrusts are strong and oh so deep, you swear you can feel him in your stomach. All you can do is submit, letting yourself completely unravel beneath him, your body writhing and moving with his, chanting his name like a prayer which only eggs him on further, making him increase his speed, fucking into you like it was the only thing that mattered.
“Ng-Ahha!” You moan out as Jake leans down to plant his face into the warmth of your neck, forcing your legs nearly behind your head as they step rest on his shoulders, opening you up further to drive himself into you. His tongue waste no time lapping at your neck, searching for the places where you pheromones were strongest, “Good girl… opening yourself up like this for me. Letting me fuck you just right.” He groans into your skin, his hips relentless that seem to have no end, “Such a good fucking girl.”. You are past the point of coherent words, now only bound to outlandish moans and whines of ecstasy, before long being forced into orgasm after orgasm.
“Mmn! W-want.. want your babies, please Jake!” You croak between moans, now clawing at any part of him you could reach. A broken groan escapes Jake as his hips snap against you with particularly hard thrust, “You… fuck- you don’t mean that baby girl…” he’s heard these words before, he knew you wouldn’t feel this way under different circumstances, but of course you refused to listen, pleading with him invein as you tried to make your case. That you did want it- and perhaps a part of you truly did, but it was a dream that was unrealistic, at least to a man that was already mated.

Every once in a while when you find out about something new, it's good to pause and ask yourself fun questions like "how the hell did that even happen?" and play with different scenarios. If the exact details of how something came to be are irrelevant to my survival, I like to just believe that the funniest option was the right one. Like those scientific articles that specify that something that was found tastes like something distinct. How the hell did they figure that out? Someone could have died. Several options:
They have an university student intern whose specific job is to taste the thing in the name of science, and to see if they die.
The researchers personally choose one to volunteer to taste the thing in the name of science. If you die, it gets named after you.
The university student interns are explicitly prohibited from tasting the thing, but cannot be stopped.
The research team has at least one student inter whose whole job is specifically to prevent the researchers from tasting the thing, and the intern failed.

Living After Midnight (Failed Rockstar!Eddie x Motel Worker!Reader)
♫ Summary: Apologies were in order when Eddie's true whereabouts were revealed, but would a rainy evening bring forgiveness or an even harsher storm? (4.6k words)
♫ CW: slowburn, strangers-to-lovers, angst, misunderstanding, anxiety, self-deprication, parental conflict, poverty, jealousy, brief touching, eventual smut (18+ only, minors DNI)
♫ Divider credit to @hellfire--cult
chapter eight: mind your own business
A simple conversation changed everything.
Admittedly, it was not your conversation, but one you had eavesdropped on.
You had turned in the final exam for your Experimental Psych class, ruminating over any possible wrong answers as soon as your paper touched the pile on your professor’s desk. Did you get an abnormal amount of Cs in the multiple-choice section? Were your short answers detailed enough?
And then you overheard two guys talking in the hall, one sounding like he’d just chain-smoked a carton of cigarettes.
“Dude, what the fuck happened to your voice?”
“Lost it at a concert the other night. Totally worth it, though.”
“What concert?”
“Death’s Echo.”
You froze, hoping your sudden stop didn’t draw any attention to you. Death’s Echo had a concert? Where was it? Is that where Eddie was on Monday night?
Potential exam mistakes forgotten, you strode over to the guys on a quest for information. “Excuse me.” Your lips curved into your best customer service smile. “Did you say you saw Death’s Echo?”
The hoarse-voiced one nodded. “Yeah, why? You like them?” His eyes narrowed in assessment; you clearly didn’t embody his expectations of a punk music fan. A fair enough judgment, because you certainly weren’t.
“Where did they play?” You pressed, ignoring his question.
“Webster Hall,” he coughed, and his buddy laughed at his apparent pain. “You listen to them?”
“Yup,” you lied easily, not wanting to stick around and have him find out why a “fan” didn’t even know about a local gig. “Um, feel better!” You hurried out of the building, head spinning with this newfound knowledge.
Webster Hall. It was just over an hour to get there, which meant that the concert must have started late; a practice not unheard of for more up-and-coming bands. The prime time slots went to the headliners who brought in the most money.
If Eddie had gone to the concert on Monday, why wouldn’t he tell you? Did he think you’d be angry? Disappointed?
Or maybe he just didn’t want you to know he was blowing off work for a concert, you reasoned, and your opinion beyond that is irrelevant.
Should you ask him about it tonight? Could you? He might hole himself up in his room, ignoring your knocks and only coming out after your shift.
Maybe that was for the best.
His harsh words from last night continued rattling around your brain, barely taking a reprieve during the test. Honestly, you were grateful you wrote down actual psychological terminology instead of I am a total hypocrite over and over until self-deprecation filled the pages.
Tomorrow was your last official day of your undergraduate career, your own personal deadline for confessing the truth to your parents, and yet you were no closer to being ready than you were when you first made that silent promise.
The problem spun a web woven from neurons and synapses, its delicate threads slowly taking over your mind and catching the most daunting tasks.
NYU Essay revisions Graduation The motel Eisen’s Eddie
Too much. It was all too much, but you couldn’t shake them from their entrapment. You wanted to squeeze your eyes shut and only open them once everything had been resolved.
You had a fleeting thought of boarding the bus and remaining seated as it rolled past the motel, leaving it all behind and reclaiming your sanity. Running away was always an option, in theory; realistically, you would be overwrought with guilt before the bus made it to the next stop.
What you’d once considered loyalty was now stained with splotches of cowardice.
Maybe one day, you would be able to see yourself the way you wanted to be seen: as a trailblazer, a go-getter, a woman in pursuit of her dreams.
Tumblr media
Today was not that day.
Rain streamed down from the clouds in thick sheets as though compensating for the week’s idle threats of stormy weather. It pelted against the motel’s windows like a steady drumbeat that wouldn’t be drowned out by your clock radio cranked up to its maximum volume.
Darkness loomed in the night sky, heavier than usual. Wind accompanied the rain, jostling the power lines and making the lights flicker.
If the electricity went out tonight…
You couldn’t finish that thought, not when the front door swung open to reveal Eddie, drenched from head to toe. His curls clung to his forehead, his cheeks, the back and sides of his neck; his chest heaved beneath a faded Black Sabbath t-shirt that was saturated with rainwater.
He stood in the doorway for a moment, unmoving and catching his breath.
This was your chance to apologize. To admit what you know—what you might know. The timing of the Death’s Echo concert could have been a coincidence, but your intuition told you it wasn’t.
Another awkward smile that didn’t reach his eyes, a tentative “hey,” and he was trudging past you without attempting to stop.
Opportunity went as quickly as it came. Every word you had planned had been scrambled like a tornado swept through your brain and left gibberish-laden debris.
The version of you that had confidently confronted him about smoking pot a few weeks ago would have scoffed at the way you failed to utter a simple apology. But this was much more complex.
Eddie’s forgiveness—if he forgave you—was only half of the battle. His blatantly false accusations about your work ethic had cut too deep to ignore.
Did he really think that little of you? Or was that his own defensiveness rearing its ugly head and taking over?
Then came a cry from down the hall.
“Of fuckin’ course!” Eddie boomed loud enough to be heard beyond his closed door. “Goddammit!”
You abandoned the desk, grabbing your essay papers and bolting to his room. He was at the window, violently pushing down on the pane, but it remained open. The shirt he’d been wearing earlier laid right next to the door as though he’d peeled it off as soon as he stepped into the room.
Your eyes landed on the dusting of hair that was now plastered to his pecs, another effect from the weather, the soft brown tendrils partially obscured by his demon head tattoo.
This wasn’t the first time you’d seen him bare-chested. The night he had arrived, he answered your knock in only his Calvin Klein boxers. He was wearing Fruit of the Loom tonight, the elastic waistband exposed from the weight of his rain-sodden jeans.
Heat burned in your belly, a sensation you hadn’t experienced in a long while.
“Little help?” Eddie grunted impatiently, and you nodded, tossing the essay onto his nightstand among a sea of his own handwritten papers.
Had he caught you staring?
He moved over, bringing both of his hands to the right side so you could press both of yours to the left. The combined force was enough to smack it closed, the resulting burst of wind sending the papers airborne. They floated to the ground, paragraph-laden parachutes, but all you could focus on was the patch of carpet beneath you. It was completely soaked, visibly darker where the rain had seeped in, and it squelched under your sneakers.
“I’ll grab towels.” You started towards the door, pausing to scoop up a sheet of looseleaf that had landed near your feet. It was obviously Eddie’s; his was not as meticulously curated as yours, full of scratch-outs and barely legible, but the words you could make out were enough to pique your interest.
Want what I can’t have
She’s got me mixed fucked mixed up
You couldn’t read any more of it without him noticing, and you certainly did not want to get caught snooping after upsetting him, so you placed it on the bed as casually as you could.
There were extra towels stored in the supply closet, and you jogged back to the lobby, mentally calculating how many you’d need to sop up the mess. Taking as many as you could carry, you perched your chin atop the oversized pile and lumbered into Eddie’s room, dropping them to the ground.
To your dismay, he had put on a new shirt, but it did nothing to temper your thoughts of running your fingertips over his inked skin.
The air was now rife with the scent of burning tobacco, the cigarette between Eddie’s lips already smoked halfway to the filter.
“Thanks.” It was muffled and gruff, hardly an olive branch, but it was enough to tug the corners of your mouth in a tepid smile.
You wanted to stay, wanted to ask about what he had been writing, but Eddie snatched up your essay papers from where they’d scattered before you could ask. He shoved them towards you, leaving the edges creased where they crinkled under his grip.
“Don’t worry, I didn’t vandalize them,” he sneered. A gray cloud whorled from his lips as he spoke, but it didn’t hide his sarcastic grin.
You steeled your gaze and forced yourself to look just above the glowing ember and into his eyes. “I’m sorry.” You let your apology float downwards, watching for any indication of a softening expression, but he remained tense.
“You didn’t even bother asking where I was,” he spit.
“I’m sorry,” you repeated, less abrasive this time. “I assumed...because you were so mean to Ben…” Any further explanation felt too much like an excuse, so you left the sentence unfinished.
Eddie’s chest deflated slightly, his bravado extinguished. He’d been expecting a fight, you realized.
You refused to give him one.
“Were you at Webster Hall?” Your voice deliberately turned up at the end, careful to pose it as a question rather than a declaration. Certainly not as an accusation.
Eddie flinched, his forefinger and thumb quickly pinching his cigarette to keep it from falling. “What?”
“Monday night,” you said. You pushed your right foot into the mound of towels, hit with a sudden bout of antsiness. “Was your errand seeing Death’s Echo play at Webster Hall?”
He said nothing, just looked at you. Really looked at you, assessing whether or not you deserved to know the truth.
The admission came out gradually, as if it was being met with resistance, pulled from a place so deep he had forgotten its existence.
“Yeah.”
“Why?”
Eddie took another drag from his cigarette. He held the smoke in his lungs until forced out with a cough. “Wanted to hear how they sounded with their new, ah, frontman.”
Lower lip tucked snugly beneath your front teeth, you nodded. “And how did they sound?”
“Great. Really fuckin’ great.” His wry smile held more sadness than amusement. “Better than when I was with them.”
Your heart lurched. Without thinking, you reached out and took his hand, giving it just a little squeeze before letting go. “I know that’s not true,” you said. “I heard you playing on Sunday, and you’re good, Eddie. Not just anyone could pull off playing Metallica without an amp, but you did.”
You wished he could see himself from your perspective, see the man whose talent was too vast for a dingy subway station, whose music deserved to be heard by sold-out crowds at The Garden.
Eddie didn’t agree, but he didn’t disagree, either. His face remained neutral, and given the circumstances, you considered that a win.
“I can work tonight. Hang the new wallpaper.” A lightning-speed subject change, but you were becoming accustomed to seamlessly shifting tracks to follow his train of thought. “I’ll be back out as soon as I finish this.” He lifted the cigarette to his mouth again and you nodded, closing the door behind you.
Part of you expected him not to return. If his brain worked like yours, he would overthink the conversation, replaying it over and over until he’d wrung out all the positives and left it saturated with the negatives. He’d opt to stay in his room and smoke out his pack, leaving the wallpaper job unfinished. But you heard the door hinge creak and his footsteps pattering into the lobby.
One thousand words flooded your brain to form myriad sentences, from a joking long time, no see to a much more serious who were you writing about?
Ben thought Eddie had feelings for you, ones that stretched past the platonic confines. But he’d only met him once, briefly. He didn’t really know him.
Want what I can’t have She’s got me mixed up
Did you really know him?
Eddie had an endless list of things he couldn’t have, which often was the case for people facing poverty. As for the girl who had him mixed up, you couldn’t narrow that down, either. The only women you’d seen him interact with were Phyllis (an unlikely muse, but it wouldn’t be the most bizarre case of unrequited love you’d ever heard of), your mom (again, not likely), and you.
There was no doubt you had him mixed up. Maybe even fucked up, as he’d written and crossed out. But had you had enough of an effect on him to warrant poetry or song lyrics–
Song lyrics.
It all clicked into place: The band; more specifically, the drummer who happened to be his ex-girlfriend. He’d gone to see them play. He could have spoken to her, and maybe realized that a spark was still present. A real spark, not whatever pathetic flicker you might have felt that night when he’d held your hand as you removed wallpaper, or when you’d exchanged gentle touches after his unfortunate wasp’s nest encounter, or when he’d loomed over you in the subway car and a delicate dip in your belly made itself known.
You decided that this explanation, the one in which you had little to no involvement, held the most logic. His inspiration was his past love–potentially his current love–and your argument was a mere distraction from a much more complicated situation.
A natural silence fell over the lobby, a healing balm over the wound you’d taken turns picking at and reopening. It was the perfect setting to finish editing your essay, and yet you found the task impossible. Any threatening grammatical errors paled in comparison to the slight movements of Eddie’s back muscles, visible through his white cotton shirt as he smoothed down the wallpaper panels.
The pronounced flex of his tricep as he drove the paper cutter above the moldings with utter precision.
The soft grunt that escaped his lips as he pressed on his thighs to stand up and admire his handiwork.
You didn’t know how long you’d been staring at him before the slamming front door snapped you out of it.
“L-Looks good,” you managed, throat suddenly bone-dry.
Eddie crossed his arms, took a small step back, and nodded. Wide brown eyes scoured the wall for any uneven edges or unglued seams, his lips pursed in concentration. “Not my best work but, uh, it’ll do.” He smirked at you, then jutted his chin to your left.
A middle-age man stood beside the desk, rainwater dripping off of the slope of his nose. He held an umbrella, turned inside out and rendered useless by the wind.
“Sign out front says ‘vacancy.’” He grumbled and swiped at his bushy eyebrows, revealing a sliver of beer gut when he raised his arm. “Just need a room for the night.”
“Mhm, of course.” You found your footing with a polite smile and collected the stranger’s money, just as you always had, just as you were supposed to. Because you were at work, and that was your job–not watching Eddie hang wallpaper.
As you scanned the wall behind you for a key, a warm whisper tickled your ear, breath tinged with a smoky aroma. A shiver reflexively wiggled down your spine as Eddie spoke, your body unused to this level of proximity.
“Put him away from my room. He looks like a snorer.”
You tucked your lips into your mouth to stifle your laughter. Eddie was right; you weren’t quite sure what it was about the man, but he did look like he snored. Loudly.
Tumblr media
You meant to look over your paper after your shift, but sleep was too seductive to resist. Just one more day, one more final exam, and then you were done. At least until August.
Summer stretched before you, and though you would still be spending nights behind the desk, your days were wide open.
Days that might be spent alongside Eddie.
There was no formal apology from him last night, a fact that nagged at you throughout the bus ride to school and prevented you from looking past the first page of your essay. That, and the burdens of shame both you and Eddie carried: yours from the blatantly wrong accusation, his from…what, exactly? Why was he embarrassed to tell you where he’d been?
The wound was still too raw last night to press on it, to ask further questions; instead, you kept the conversation light and airy. The only foray into dangerous territory came from Eddie himself when he asked about the vandalism at Eisen’s. You couldn’t answer fast enough before clumsily pivoting the discussion to the warming weather.
And maybe it was your inner people pleaser that craved reconciliation, needed it to unfurl and bloom like a budding rose, that lowered your guard and bade you to talk with him. But people-pleasing didn’t explain the warmth that crept through your body, lazily winding through your veins, when he laughed at your jokes.
That laugh–the gentle nose scrunch it evoked, the lightheartedness it exuded, how it chiseled away at the remaining iciness between you. It was all you thought about that night, your heart relaxing as the friendship was no longer in limbo.
But when you got to class and flipped through your essay one last time, that newfound homeostasis meant nothing. Yes, there were ten pages present and ready to be stapled, but unless your conclusion focused on angsty song lyrics, you were missing the final page.
Dread’s chill pricked at you, followed by an overbearing wash of heat. The granola bar you’d scarfed down threatened to make a reappearance.
Stupid. How could I have been so careless? All I had to do was check before I left home, but I was too busy thinking about Eddie to do the bare minimum.
It was a bad dream; you’d wake up and find yourself in bed with your full essay safely stored in your bag. All you had to do was wake up and page ten would be a continuation of psychological development in infancy.
Your eyes opened hopefully, but you were still in the classroom, and the page still beared Eddie’s sloppy scrawl:
I’m the castle She’s the queen Can’t be a king I’m too obscene
The lyrics a few lines down stopped mid-sentence:
Crushed beneath a broken dream Failed to launch now I
You were wasting precious time. If you left now, you could probably make it home and back before the professor left. You’d have to fork over the money for a dollar cab and forgo your afternoon coffee, but it was a sacrifice you needed to make.
Stupid stupid stupid—
Your name being called drew you from your pit of self-loathing. It wasn’t Nora; the voice was too masculine and too far away for it to come from beside you.
It was someone with the same name. Just a coincidence.
And then you heard it again. Loud enough so it echoed down the hall, but not frantic. And yet your heart fluttered in your chest.
Eddie.
There was no way; he couldn’t be—
You squeezed past Nora and thundered towards the door, trying to quell your hopes before they rose too high.
But there he stood, sweat pasting his hair to his forehead. His chest heaved beneath a white cotton undershirt that was tight around the biceps. Deep brown eyes lit up when he spotted you in the doorway, his lips curving in a triumphant smile.
“I have your paper!” Sure enough, your conclusion paragraph was clenched in his calloused hand.
You could have cried with relief. Fueled by gratefulness and residual adrenaline, you flung your arms around him. Your hands found his back muscles; at first tensed, almost reflexively, but quickly relaxed. The paper crinkling between your torsos jarred you out of the moment, and you took a step back before he could return the gesture—if he even would have.
“Sorry, I…” Words suddenly evaded you, eviscerated by the musky scent of his deodorant. He didn’t appear to be uncomfortable, all soft doe eyes and lazy grins from his unlikely heroism, but…still. Your relationship now teetered between employee and friend, and you couldn’t afford to knock it off-balance. “How did you get here so fast? And how did you find me?”
Eddie exhaled a chuckle. “Took a cab. And when I got here, I asked every other person where the psychology classes were.”
“You walked from where the dollar cab dropped you off?” How many blocks was that? No wonder he was sweating.
His cheeks, already flushed from exertion, tinged a deeper shade of pink. “N-No, I, um…it was a regular cab.”
Sheer disbelief widened your eyes. He must have dipped into his meager savings to shell out the money for an actual cab, putting him even farther behind in his journey home.
“I…” There were one thousand ways to finish your sentence.
I can pay you back.
I can’t believe you did this for me.
I am so sorry I ever doubted your character.
I wish we’d hugged just a moment longer.
You finally settled on a string of words that required no courage at all, just a genuine thankful smile. “I have your lyrics. Let me turn in my paper and I’ll grab them for you.”
Eddie’s timid expression shifted into one of amusement. “Shit, yeah,” he said with a laugh. “Was wondering where those went.”
Opportunity splayed out in front of you, tempting you to ask him about the woman who had him mixed up. Every cell in your body ached to know if she was the same queen he’d placed on a royal pedestal, unattainable despite his valiant efforts.
Was it fear or politeness that held your tongue? You weren’t supposed to see the lyrics in the first place; how could you justify your questions? Sorry I read your innermost thoughts without permission, but could I pick your brain about them?
Any doubts about your intentions were confirmed when he took the page from you, cocked his head, and asked: “What’d you think?”
There it was. Your opening. You could see it, practically touch it, your fingertips brushing the chance to admit that the songs’ mysterious inspiration gnawed at you—
But then he might ask why you wanted to know. And, quite honestly, you lacked the energy to figure it out for yourself. The desire was too strong to be nosiness, too personal to be gossip.
Not to mention the inexplicable sourness that burned your esophagus when you’d considered the high probability that he’d written them about his ex-girlfriend.
“Really good,” you managed. “I can’t wait for the finished product.”
Coward.
“Me, too,” he agreed with a laugh. “I’m sure the folks at the train station are dying to hear it.”
“The rats’ll give you a standing ovation.”
He snickered. “My biggest fans.”
A hand squeezing yours prevented you from getting lost in the slight dimple that appeared when he smiled. Nora now stood beside you, expression innocuous to Eddie or any other man, but her dark brown eyes silently asked, are you okay?
I’m fine, you replied with a squeeze of your own, grateful for someone who swooped in seeing you with a man she didn’t know.
“Nora, this is Eddie,” you introduced her. “He’s–he’s my friend who’s been helping us out around the motel. Eddie, this is Nora, best friend and study buddy extraordinaire.”
“Ahh, Wallpaper Boy.” Nora furrowed a brow. “You go to school here?”
Eddie cleared his throat and scratched the back of his head. “No, I…she left her paper, so…” He trailed off as though embarrassed by his chivalry.
“So now she can graduate!” Nora wrapped you in an embrace so tight that you briefly worried about your shoulder dislocating. She leaned in knowingly, her tone teasing with an air of seriousness. “And keep me company at the ceremony, right?”
You rolled your eyes, acutely aware that Eddie was watching the entire interaction. The last thing you wanted was attention drawn to the fact that you weren’t attending graduation. “Maybe,” was all you said, and Nora left it at that.
There was an awkward beat before anyone spoke again, and it was Eddie who eventually filled the silence. “Heading home now?” He asked you, already starting towards the building’s doors.
“No, I’m going to Eisen’s. I promised Ben that I’d help clean the graffiti.” You braced yourself for a volatile reaction, or at least something akin to annoyance, but his response was more surprising than any snarky remark.
“I’ll come with.”
Cocking a disbelieving brow, you did your best to keep your tone free of judgment. You were waiting for the gotcha, but you couldn’t let him know that. “Seriously?”
Eddie nodded. “Yeah, why not? I’ve got the day free, and I have some…expertise in graffiti removal.” He relented with a shrug when you and Nora exchanged curious glances, a hint of a smirk tugging at his lips. “My trailer got hit a time or twelve back in the day. The tragic life of a Satan-worshiping freak, y’know?”
“But I bet the vandalizers were upstanding citizens.”
“Keys to the city and everything.” Eddie stuck out his hand, palm up, and you could see the details etched into his pale skin. Calluses decorated the pads of his fingers; you’d assumed they were mostly from guitar playing, but now you could add physical labor to their origins. He looked down at his hand, then back at you. “Shall we?”
Your own hands were suddenly slick with anxious perspiration, like a middle school student on her first-ever date. Even that juvenile scenario held more significance than this—two friends scrubbing down a hardware store was a far cry from the Sandra Brown romance novels you secretly devoured in high school.
And yet, you felt it—that soft electricity that crackled through your whorls of fingerprints when you slid your palm against his, the jolt of energy as he tugged you forward and laced his fingers with yours. If he noticed the nervousness that embarrassing seeped from your pores, he didn’t mention it.
Nora, ever astute, excused herself with a story about not wanting to miss the bus, but not before whispering in your ear, “he’s cute.” An approval that would almost certainly be followed up with a phone call later to discuss the fine details of the afternoon’s escapades.
There are no ‘escapades,’ you reminded yourself. You’re removing graffiti, not embarking on a Parisian vacation.
Eddie led the way until he reached the building’s doors, blinking as his eyes once again adjusted to the sunlight. “I, uh, I have no idea where we’re going.”
You laughed at his candor. “Follow me.”
It was an opportunity to break the grasp, to unleash the anxiety that threatened to cleave you and Eddie back into two separate pieces. He was dangerous because he was temporary; if you allowed him in even farther than you already had—beyond the confines of friendship—his inevitable departure would destroy you.
Let go. Let go. Let. Go.
And yet you kept holding on, adjusting only to take the lead. Eddie’s thumb brushed against yours, pausing just at the knuckle to press down in subtle acknowledgment.
Hi.
You pressed back with an accompanying smile.
Hi.
This time when you reached the subway station, you both jumped the turnstile.

Defeating the White Star so easily relied heavily on Kim Rok Soo - not just what he learned from reading The Birth of a Hero, not just his special powers, but all his experiences, his way of thinking, all the things that made him who he was .
Fair warning, if haven't finished part 1 you might want to skip this. I'll be talking heavily about Kim Rok Soo, and I don't remember which chapters we learned this... Just that it's fairly late.
Kim Rok Soo is an analyst first and foremost. Record allows him to remember and process information at ungodly speeds, but it takes real skill to take masses of information and filter out all the irrelevant and distracting details.
Cale, as the transmigrated KRS, has that skill. He has repeatedly been able to take information from the books, information he gained as a noble (whether purchased from an information guild like what Deruth gave him at the beginning, or just reports or books he has access to) and pull it all together to find the most important factors.
Like why the crown prince might want a naval base, or why Ubarr would be a good location for one.
Or that the Mogoru Empire would want slaves for their alchemical experiments, and that that slaver noble he learned about was probably selling them to the empire (though, naturally, he found the evidence to back up his intuition. It's just knowing where to look and what to look for probably sped the process up tremendously).
And given how much he knows about the importance of any sliver of information, it's no surprise he constantly looks for sources of it.
He repeatedly asks Choi Han to capture rather than kill their enemies, and it's not just that he dislikes killing. Every captured enemy is a source of information - from the Arm member they captured at the elf village, to Cloppeh, to Syrem, to the dragon half blood... Cale learns a tremendous amount of information about the organization they are fighting. He even got the dragon half blood to lead them to one of Arm's bases on the Eastern continent.
And he's able to get even more through encounters with people like Hannah, and even the bandits on the Eastern continent that he shanghais into serving as waitstaff in his hotel.
He also denies information to the enemy as much as he can. From the silly fake uniforms that Choi Han dreads to his insistence they kill or blind the mage who saw Ron's face, he and his people are constantly able to take Arm by surprise.
Imagine if we were in Birth of a Hero, and Choi Han just straight up killed all those sources of information? And didn't wear a disguise, so he became a known opponent that the White Star could plan for and target?
Then we get into his experiences taking down corrupt guilds, which he used on corrupt nobles and priests alike. From selling of the treasures he found to the priest of the sun god, to handling the Stans and more..
He has the skills and experience - as well as an ability to quickly plan with the resources on hand and the flexibility to adjust his plans as needed - to handle almost anything thrown his way.
The foreknowledge from The Birth of a Hero and the wealth and connections he gained as a Henituse are only partially able to explain his success.

Another much overdue ask compilation! Some short-ish lore asks (Gale, Gort, DU drow relationships and pet-companion preferences) and a couple of art/advice ones sprinkled in. THIS IS BY NO MEANS ALL OF MY ASKS so as usual I appreciate everyone's patience!
Tumblr media
I actually think he'd give them a pass entirely as soon as he noticed. Correct me if I'm mistaken but half-drow get No love from underdark drow and are usually surface babies right? So that fruit is miles away from the tree lol. I think he generally has a bit of a soft spot for mixed kinds since he himself feels like an amalgamation of sorts.
Tumblr media
Thank you! They're kind of a pain in the ass to draw at times for that very reason but man I do like the look 😩if other people like it too then that makes it all worth it!
Tumblr media
THAT'S TRICKY TO ANSWER BECAUSE OFTEN TIMES I'M NOT... REALLY TRYING. I've draw a ton of horror comics for mine and my partner's series' SAD SACK and SORTIE, so I think it just comes naturally to me 😅 also I do genuinely find expressive and, uh, rugged faces more attractive? (I think they look rugged, again that's what people tell me at least.)
I think the secret might be adding bits of realism in there. I get a lot of comments about the wrinkles and eyelashes I add to my art, as well as the way I draw individual teeth (though I've lately been making an effort to simplify my style in favor of drawing faster, so I haven't done that as much or in as much detail.)
Both symmetry and the lack of it can also add to that effect. I have employed both facial unevenness and almost point-perfect symmetry to achieve something a little frightening or otherworldly in my work. [MORE UNDER THE CUT]
Tumblr media
Thank you so much!!! The contrast is very much intentional, that's what DU drow's character is all about ;)
Tumblr media
Hahah well I somewhat doubt Bhaal would care that his spawn gets named, but either way he stripped himself of his name as soon as he killed his foster parents and abandoned the Underdark. He had a drow name that I jotted down somewhere but it's completely irrelevant because nobody has used it since he was a child, and he doesn't remember it (even pre-tadpole/having his brain scrambled.) Here's a little write up about his origins that might shed some more light on that: https://meanbossart.tumblr.com/post/739688837431836672/did-drow-ever-have-a-childhood-before-the-temple
And about his original drow-given name and the reason behind it: https://meanbossart.tumblr.com/post/741350986692591616/drow-had-to-have-been-given-a-name-by-his-adoptive
Everyone just referred to him as his supposed race, or as Bhaalspawn or Bhaal's child, and any other similar titles. Orin called him "kin" and "brother" and Gortash likely called him his associate. Post-tadpole the camp grows entirely used to calling him "the drow" and he has no desire to change that or to choose a proper name.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH😭 no reason to be intimidated, I'm just some rando drawing BG3 fan art LOL I've been drawing since I was a child, and started taking it semi-seriously when I was 16 years old, so twelve years ago! That's around the time where I got my first non-display tabled and used that well into my twenties, prior to that I only did stuff on paper and liked to do inks color with pencils. I never really ventured into traditional painting at all except for a little bit of water-coloring in college.
Traditional and Digital art are very much different beasts. Which one you want to start with is, in my opinion, just dependent on what you want to do. Digital art gives you a lot of tools that makes learning easier, but you might find yourself having much steeper of a learning curve if you ever decide to do traditional art instead. If you want to be good at both, you need to practice both, since the skill doesn't entirely translate from one medium to the other.
Naturally you will be able to draw well on either, it's just... Different. I will say though, that I think if you're still learning you should use whatever allows you to look directly at what your hand is doing, so either traditional or display tablet/Ipad. I have no idea what a non-display tablet would do to a beginner, but remembering my experience with it I feel like it might be a huge detriment to developing the skill (feel free to share your experiences in the replies if you disagree, as I would definitely be curious to read them!)
Tumblr media
YOU KNOW ME BABY IT WAS MESSY AND COMPLICATED the tldr.: is that they were "buddies", absolutely no romance intended there on either mine or DU drow's part, but due to his nature the friendship was extremely weird.
Here's a couple of replies where I go into more detail about it: https://meanbossart.tumblr.com/post/739191190871818240/i-dont-have-a-particular-question-in-mind-sorry
https://meanbossart.tumblr.com/post/744952815768764416/so-not-sure-if-youve-covered-this-but-i-thought
Tumblr media
That's definitely reserved for the vamp LOL DU drow very much enjoys when Astarion teases and fusses over him, and while Astarion probably got a kick out of acting that way around such a big and scary looking guy at first, I think by "now" (later and post-game) he's pretty much immune to DU drow's looks and just enjoys doing it in earnest.
He's not at all averse to being touched (even rather intimately) by close friends, but he wouldn't be quite THAT vulnerable with anyone else.
Tumblr media
HE REALLY DISLIKED GALE... He irked him out by seemingly fostering a rather persistent romantic interest in him for at least half the time they spent together (very much based on my interpretation of their in-game interactions at the time, though my Gale might have been a little bugged.)
But also they had a... Fairly in depth relationship still? Gale was a staple in my party, and even though I antagonized him constantly by the end of the game it still felt like they had so much weight in each other's lives, if that makes sense. I might need to do a bit of an "update" on the DU Drow/Gale lore sometime, I feel like I've had some thoughts since that warrant more exploration of their dynamic (you can find a lot of old asks about it if you just search the Gale Dekarios tag in my blog though).
The gist of it is that DU drow found him arrogant and duplicitous, his constant optimist irritated him to no end and felt like it veiled a stream of self-pity (two things DU drow despises) Gale's attempts to get through to him only added insult to injury. By the end of the game he decided to pursue the crown of Karsus and this only lost him even more respect in Drow's eyes, seeing as he doesn't value godly power at all.
Tumblr media
I was pretty overwhelmed by the game at the start so I actually missed a lot LOL including Scratch. I did get the owlbear cub though, which DU drow gladly welcomed into camp since it was injured - but I think he would have wished for it to remain a wild animal and to return back to it's home after it had grown up a bit. He didn't really make a "pet" out of it more than he just looked after the little guy in the way it's mother might have, probably with Shadowheart's help.
He wouldn't be opposed to proper pets though if one were to stumble into his life. He'd definitely be more of a cat guy because of their independence and strong little attitudes.
Tumblr media
It is very hard to build proper rapport with him. He will be "friendly" to most people who have a good sense of humor about them, but friendSHIP is another thing entirely.
I think it's kind of circumstantial. He's very economical in his relationships and doesn't really seek them out at all - so a situation where he's forced to be in someone's company might be the only way to develop a bond with him, as he doesn't appreciate insistence either and that's more likely to push him away. He doesn't value status or titles either (kind of looks down on them really) so that won't help.
I think he just likes people who are true to themselves and their nature, sometimes even if the nature is one he disagrees with at it's core. This is why he liked Gortash, why he and Shadowheart got along so well, and why him and Astarion fit together so seamlessly despite seeming so different. Likewise I think it's why he didn't jive with people like Gale or Wyll, because they seemed to be rather... Dishonest with themselves and their own end-goals.

Update 3: Another update, I know. This fixes the wardrobe completely. I had to remake it from scratch but it now has anims and working wall masks! Get it HERE (Post download is updated)
Update 2: Forgot to update the collection file with the new GUIDs, download it HERE
Update: Changed the GUIDs to the one in the block I claimed way back in 2018, redownload if you've downloaded it :)
One of my favourite furniture sets over the years has always been the Tivoli, Plantation set by blake_boy over at ModTheSims. As well as some super cute dressers by rgdyanne over at Sims2Artists. I heavily recommend both sets with this pack.
I've used it way too many times and around October of 2022, I ended up feeling like I wanted to work on some addons for it. I've always wanted to get into making actual objects in Sims 2 since I love making things for another irrelevant game I mod. I decided this would be a great way to try and learn.
Included is the following:
Pet Bed (Linen is slaved to maxis bedding)
Cat Condo (Fabric is slaved to Los Gatos Condominums/cheap condo)
Bunk Bed + Ladder + Top Bunk Mattress
2 Tile Armoire
1 Tile Armoire
Bookshelf (Plus Empty Version)
4-Tier Shelf
4 different Shelf Inserts
Pet Bed Shelf Insert for 4-Tier Shelf (Bed slaved to Comfy Pet Pillow)
Wall Shelf
Thin Shelf/DVD Unit
Thin alternatives to end tables in the original set
Tiny open end table
Built In Closet (Based on the Apartment Life one)
2 Tile Desk
There is also the option of desk widening! I find that on the original desks, my sims' PCs would hang off the edge which is not ideal.
Tumblr media
I'll keep them separate in case you want to keep the originals :) Same filename and GUID as the original. I did try to make the wider ones a separate GUID but it didn't work so I'm gonna leave that for now and figure it out at some point.
Download:
Addons - SFS
Desk Edits - SFS
Collection file included, including the original set by blake_boy and the dresser addons by rgdyanne.

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your comic making process? I find it hard to make comics that look eye-pleasing to read and yours are like candy.
Tumblr media
Ah, comics! Dig under cut to see some old wips as I attempt to explain my nightmare thought process to you.
For making a comic AESTHETIC and APPROACHABLE:
I've noticed that it's easier for people to be pulled into a comic if I set the environment first and foremost, so people have some vague context for the scene. Of COURSE that's not always necessary ( there are a lot of comics that start out without environmental story telling and it works perfectly) but I've always liked having a lil illustration before digging my rat claws into the meat of the story.
For example! “Emmet and Elesa have a clandestine meeting in the library at 4 am.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The sketch was sort of the jumping point to where I wanted to go with the comic. I wanted to a. explain wtf is happening and b. draw a nice conclusion about what the f is happening.
You don't need to make the environment available in every panel too! I'd suggest making your first panel tell all the environment detail you need and then like... slowly removing irrelevant detail from there. And then hit folks with the background again at the end. (So basically, you don't see the library in this comic until the beginning and a bit towards the end. I have tricked you! aha!) So that's one tip i have. For Readability: Anyways, to make a comic easy to read, spacing is super important. Dialogue tends to cramp a shot by a WHOLE lot. For example! Remember the "Lamp is told she's beloved (and has a tsundere moment over it"? That used to be TWO panels. Man. Nightmare fuel. Lemme find it. (This is the rough. I Lined It, realized the pacing is off, and then withered. Please don't look at it too hard.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So here's the thing. This READS. But the sheer amount of dialogue in the beginning is fatiguing for me and the "you are beloved, Lampent" NEEDS that oomph of both characters realizing that over the span of years, their relationship stopped being antagonistic and started being family instead. Some folks are fine with blocks of dialogue, but I have the attention span of a patrat on candy. I will not make it. SO! To match the almost moody atmosphere, I stretched the comic out. I stretched that bad boy out a LOT. And I got this out of it.
Tumblr media
Something to keep in mind in comics is there's always going to be one or two iconic lines. Lines that make people FEEL things. Those lines deserve their own panel, their own shot, their whatever. A good story has lulls in its conversation. If you can replicate it, you're winning. Character Blocking:
So basically no, it's not all witchcraft. It's only a bit of witchcraft. Another thing that helps is differentiating characters if they're on the same panel is by solid blocks of color. I have, for the longest time when working on storyboards, blocked characters different tones in order to help differentiate them. Don't be shy! Do that if it helps your comics read! Ingo will always be darker shaded then emmet. The angry nightlight will always have some hint of purple on her (unless I forget). The first goal in a story is to convey information, hehe. Here's an example of color blocking! (This is from a VERY old botw comic I did for linktober in 2021.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's, ah, rather rustic compared to what I do. usually. I know! BUT the primary goal here is to convey where the characters are in relation to each other. And the fact they're color coded makes life easier for both reader and artist. Alright! That's all the tips I can think of off the top of my head. Time to get off that soap box, haha. Overall: Basically, my work process is-- draw a story telling image/ write a funny piece of dialogue. Build the comic around that. Pace it so the important lines stand out. Color code the characters for max visibility. And then four to twelve hours of lineart, but that's neither here or there.
Thanks for coming to my unregulated rambling!
