If some thing shitty happens he will rant about it a lot to you cause he needs to get it out and understand what went wrong or how he could have prevented it and a bunch more what ifs!

Atsushi

Puts you on a pedestal because you are perfect and he can’t see a single flaw in you

He has a wall of photos of you him and his friends!

He’s low key done with peoples bs and like dazai rants to you about it a fair few times because he blames him self for everything that went wrong

Good cook! He likes making sweets!

Will talk about things he loves in big rants and Ofc will listen to your rants!

He doesn’t have good social knowledge so he won’t pick up stuff if you are hinting at it

Talks about you all the time to any one who will listen

ranboo literally tears up a bit because he was watching the stream in the other room and could hear you, and you were visibly tearing up

you could feel your hands shaking and you just kind of ended the stream because you were so worked up and didn't wanna do it anymore

gave you a pillow to punch and left you be for a while

you're usually very calm but your emotions exploded when you were bottling it up too much

they understood that but their heart bled for you after that, especially w all the hate that came from it :/

people were throwing things at you on stage during Tommy's live show

you played it off as jokes and were fine with jt because they were doing it sneakily in a fun way, roses, kandi bracelets, plushies etc, until someone threw their bra at you

"Okay, can we not?" You scrunch your eyebrows, looking into the crowd as you throw the bra back into the crowd. "That's fucked, don't ever do that again, learn event etiquette. never throw your bras on a fucking stage, it's weird and disgusting"

Freddie looks over at you, standing next to Tommy, giving you a "Holy shit are you okay?" look while also looking for the culprit trying to get their bra back

Tommy instantly stopped the show to reprimand the person

meanwhile Freddie was whispering to you to make sure you were okay

you were pissed but put your big kid pants on and continued the show

you apologized on Twitter after the show because you were really loud and kind of humiliated the people but you were justified with the situation

the people (and the girl who owned the bra) apologized and the situation was over

Freddie feels so bad bc you're so calm and laid back but ppl always have to test your limits :(

people were filming you two out in public and taking pictures and you kinda lost it that they weren't listening to niki, telling them to kindly stop

you got really upset with someone harassing a bunch of creators during the qsmp Brazil meetup

you were furious seeing that many on your friends, even while on a trip, couldn't just not be harassed by men

the weirdo scurried off but you were literally this close to fighting the fucker

you were seething dude, like, shaking because you were so astonished someone could actually be that pushy and that much of a dick over a picture

Alex wrapped you in a tight hug and just squeezed you until you calmed down while the poor people who were harassed had reassured you that they were okay and that they appreciated and thanked you for standing up for them

Alex genuinley apologizes because the way you reacted just proved to him that you definitely are calm and laid back but when you got angry, you got angry

he feels so bad because you had to stand up for your friends and watch them be harassed and shit

It's funny there seems to be people who think that Muu is a makima-esque master manipulator based on the information we have. Bro have you see her trying to manipulate? Her most effective move is just crying but half the time that one just feels unintentional. When it's up to her to actually use her charisma she blunders so hard. Sure she can read people very well, but her best attempt at getting her way when someone isn't laying down for her is to just say the information she has as if just saying it is how it goes.

Sure cliques are gonna be filled with blunt passive aggressive assholes, but she also doesn't seem to distinguish friend from foe and cliques don't generally like when people can't play the mind games. It may be me projecting a bit, but she seems to picture relationships as a little bit TOO transactional, her sheer inflexibility feels a bit autistic. She's got a script and she freaks out when people go off of it.

No fucking way she got those friends through sheer charisma, I'm betting they were all just sucking up to the rich kid for cash. Meaning that whatever dirt rei had on her, it managed to turn people who had already decided to put up with the rich girl. I'm leaning toward at least some of it being gay shit, like even if muu doesn't realize it she pedestalizes rei a lot for someone who thinks their revenge was justified.

But if it was just rei giving proof of muu liking girls I'd think the bullying would be more directly homophobic, so she probably had a few kinds of dirt on her.

She also seems dangerously out of touch with her emotions, while also being out of touch with other people's. People say her mvs are just straightforward but they seem to be affected by her inner turmoil she doesn't wanna think about. It's hard to verbalize but the words she says often contrast the video. In after pain she has a lot more doubt, while still not accepting any fault she thinks about it despite the info we get being the bullying she endured. Then in inmf, she sounds so sure of everything while also imagining herself as an insect and her victim as normal. She is not as confident as she tries to seem

Really she just seems like a teen who's been allowed or even encouraged to stay emotionally immature getting herself into something she can't escape. Yeah she did all that mean shit, but she also got sucked into the cycle. She shouldn't have killed rei but she was clearly losing it. Murder wasn't justified but things happen in the heat of the moment, especially if you're completely emotionally unstable and in denial of it. She wasn't lying about having a clique but she also wasn't lying about feeling suicidal.

She and haruka are perfectly matched to bring out the worst in each other. Unfortunately for her ratings, she's got an offensive mental illness. probably one of those where it's like "bad person disorder: you are a terrible shitty person and it will never change. Also you're banned from 30 countries now :)". Which is also unfortunate for haruka since he's got self loathing issues, and while audiences handle those a little better it's not enough to overpower hating a self aggrandizing girl.

Hope someone stops him. For character development i think it'd be cool for muu to panic and do it, but idk if she's aware enough of her emotions to realize she'd miss him. Tbh also worried if they're gonna use haruka as a red herring, he's acting off enough to attract attention but muu also has a history of suicidality.

Prisoners not in the know are already getting suspicious of haruka, which best case means they catch him in time. If the writers wanna be cruel it also means muu can just decide to kill herself split second if the decision hurts enough and no one will suspect her

I will never ever ever ever get over how All Might was immediately on board to follow Izuku to different school, like didn’t say a damn thing either. Even tho like 30 minutes prior

Like I know Dekus his successor and he has a responsibility to stay by him but between

his role as a teacher

condoning restraining Katsuki(a child in crisis!!) by placing that medal on him on the international broadcasting of a spectacle that has replaced the Olympics and is stated to influence these kids while careers

and then thrusting him farther into negative lime light(even though it wasn’t anyone but the villains fault) by losing his powers while rescuing him

You’d think he’d recognize that he has some serious responsibility to Katsuki too, like separate from Deku & OFA All Might has unintentionally caught Katsuki into his orbit & as an adult he should be able to not only recognize that but step up to that

I refuse to believe that All Might actually cares about Katsuki as an individual at all, frankly I think he low key seriously dislikes him and originally had no intention of ever seeing him succeed and would have loved an excuse to separate Izuku from him

Don’t agree?

Let me ask you this, do you honestly believe that if it had been Inko hitting Izuku All Might would have looked the other way?

I don’t, I guarantee that All Might would have called in on every favor he could think of and Inko would have been losing custody before the sunset

I think Deku told All Might one too many of Bakugo’s character flaws during their pre UA training sessions and All Might decided he hated him and would never let it go

Izuku venting should have been fine but All Might struggles with maturity and emotional intelligence, he never unpacked his trauma around losing Nana & put her on a pedestal

It left him with a mindset that let him blindly supporting Izukus reckless tendencies for far too long and it was only corrected by the intervention of others like recovery girl

while also had him under the impression that Izuku would just magically understand OFA because obviously it was his closeness to his mentor that made him such a great hero

He never took into consideration that OFA was much stronger now or that not only is Izuku just of a smaller build to begin with but he had less time to train, like we see All Might was already pretty solidly built and involved with Nana in middle school.

Izuku only had time to build up enough strength and stamina so that OFA didn’t immediately kill him and it’s treated like he’s just not as much of a natural as AM when that’s only such a small part of the problem 😩

After the home visits All Might definitely does try harder for Izuku, to be more available to him and after DvsK2 All Mights consideration of Katsuki is slightly more sensitive and nuanced but tbh it’s all still through a lense of ‘remember he’s important to Izuku, if he improves so does Izuku’

What really confirms that for me is that there was zero reason All Might couldn’t have told the class to make an exception and let Katsuki into Izukus hospital room if he woke up

The class has known since before the training camp that they mean a lot to each other & have know each other for like forever(even if it is messy), but everything during and after camp surely renforced it

They know that Bakugo went off alone with Deku at the beginning of the war and stayed with him throughout it until he got stabbed, it’d make sense that upon waking up not dead he’d wanna see the person he sacrificed himself for

Most importantly absolutely everyone knows what a dramatic hassle Bakugo can be, they could have just written it off as a precaution to keep the hospital quiet 💀

There was zero reason that in however long existed between them waiting for Izuku to wake up and All Might delivering the letters All Might couldn’t have filled Bakugo in or at least offered him some kind of personal communication and comfort

He should have felt some obligation to do so after everything, he should have known better.

Yes it was Izukus decision to leave & knowing Izuku it was a safer bet to go along with that plan so that he didn’t do it 100% alone but All Might should have known that cutting Katsuki out completely wasn’t just a tactically bad idea it was a cold and callous one too

Also All Might just generally enjoyed beating the shit out of Bakugo just a wee bit too much, imo, man looks like it was his birthday and Christmas all in one

All Might, the number one hero for decades, repeatedly introducing the back of Bakugo’s skull to the pavement was a conscious choice that he made with joy in his heart, Idc how much you don’t like that take, because there were a dozen other choices he could have made

And that’s how you know Deku is bilnded by his admiration of All Might. Otherwise he may have noticed that All Might, for all his support of Bakugo helping Izuku become a stronger hero doesn’t support Bakugo being in his personal life, or Bakugo being alive in general 💀

Honestly I can see why Katsuki procrastinated ever getting All Might to sign his card, between fanboying, personal guilt, pride, and the fact that he probably has a sneaking suspicion that AM doesn’t like him it makes sense that he never once brought it up over the course of an entire year 🥺💔

asaden thoughts... hm maybe i should answer this ask when my brain's actually not totally crappy but i'll give it a shot. big disclaimer, i'm not the sharpest tool in the shed

but

i like them a lot as they are right now, and i also like them for what they could be. i'm really into how asa parallels makima but Wrong, and how denji actually is shown to be a lot more aware of how people treat him & how he navigates relationships now

and i like that asa as a character has so much going on to her - she's a huge asshole who thinks she's better than everyone else, but she also feels like the fucking worst. in a way, she puts herself on a pedestal in a way that alienates her just like makima. except of course, the reasons they're standing on their respective pedestals is but a difference in how they frame how different they are from other people

that being said, i bring up makima because in part 1, she and denji's dynamic were a huge thing. we see denji still struggling with the remnants of his trauma re: makima; like, for example in the latest chapter, he questions if the way people treat him has something to do with him

but something i'd really want for asaden, even if they ended up just being platonic, is to make these makima vs asa parellels mean something - something good for denji's character development

with asa, i want to see him say "no" more. i want him to see the fuckin penguins and for asa to try and compromise instead. and most importantly i want him to know, if the truth ever came out about the whole "yoruasa possession thing", that at least asa saw some loser named denji and not chainsaw man

and that's another thing i like about asaden! asa is like, pretty much the first girl to not be after his chainsaw heart. which is. very sad because the bar is 6ft below the ground. but i am glad she actually sees him. i mean, also literally too re: when she saw him amongst the crowd from up a balcony(?) when she was considering who to turn into a weapon

i just want them to take it as slow as they possibly can within the bounds of a fujimoto story and see where it goes

i think asa could come to really care about denji. it's clear she likes him a lot (which is hilarious because instead of denji, it's HER who fell in love easily). and it's funny how she tries so hard to hate him when in reality, she knows he's genuinely a good person at heart. and looking at him probably makes her feel worse about herself. because who's really "between cat and human", her or denji?

but she keeps pushing him away because she 1) is generally afraid of letting people get too close it seems and 2) doesn't want another person to get hurt because of her

can you imagine? if she managed to turn him into a weapon? the one girl denji really believed could love him the way he always wanted, was just using him the whole time? the guilt would be immense

and what about asa? i mean like, i don't wanna get my hopes up. but i think denji could really show her a good time. he could be really good for someone like her - they're both losers who could really understand one another, and neither of them have that many friends

yeah, i like asaden. my thoughts on it are all over the place but at the end of the day i just want them to kiss. and i mean i want asa to kiss denji, not yoru lol. though asa is probably screaming, shitting, crying, etc rn

Late to posting this (my first draft got deleted and I lost motivation lol) but wow the new episode was amazing and I shed some tears Honestly I just wanna give a little love letter to Teruki's character because he's one of my favorites and I always just appreciated him being on screen as a support cause he's just an absolute sweet heart and seems like someone who seems like a pleasure to be around. And I wanna appreciate how far he's come cause this character conclusion was so good for him

One thing I always loved about him was his constant drive to genuinely want to improve himself as a person.

I think we all know him trying to humble himself after having such a heavy superiority complex is a big part of it. But I feel like we don’t remind ourselves enough that Teru’s superiority complex stemmed from trying to hide an inferiority complex. It’s not JUST a struggle about going over your head even if that’s apart of it. But it’s also a journey of discovering what it truly means to be equal with others. It’s a concept I really appreciate being explored here because it’s something I struggle with myself. And while his arc is subtle for a lot of the series. It’s definitely there.

This is why his dynamic with Mob is so important. How he feels about Mob throughout the series perfectly captures his character arc. Seeing him as a threat to his ego and life and needing to establish “the hierarchy” but then putting him on a pedestal and admiring him greatly and essentially labelling Mob as someone “Above him” There’s still a lot of little things in the series that adds up to him still viewing the world through this hierarchy he’s made in his head even if he’s trying to rid of it.

This moment was really great and you can see the horror in him as he truly has to take in what’s happening and the dangers with it. I adore that the way Teru finally sees Mob as an equal is also seeing him at a very low point in his life. He’s not above mistakes, and everyone has their bad days and things they want to hide about themselves.

Calling himself a common constantly is pretty blunt and perhaps harsh in some peoples eyes. But it means what it means, he’s not above or below anyone, he’s just like everyone else.

Also note I’ve been anime only for Mob Psycho since I’ve started watching in middle school though I have read a few chapters of the manga and plan to do a full read when the anime is done. But for this arc I’ve been reading the manga chapter right after the episode and I just wanted to talk about this line that was cut

(The last panel) I’m really sad about this change because it really says how much Mob hates himself and all it does is break my heart and make me reflect on how innocent all this started. He spent so much time trying to gain the courage to ask his crush out flowers and everything and he ended up with a near death experience and destroying everything around him and hurting his friend. I might make a seperate post talking about him in this episode or perhaps wait for the next to do so.But Teru refusing to hurt him and claiming his victory through saving the people around him is honestly so amazing so many ways. Not only is he easing the pain of his friend and making sure his worst fear doesn’t happen. But it truly speaks where his values now lie.

Originally a gang leader drunk on power and participating in fights because it was the biggest boost for his ego to someone who wants to whole heartedly help other people.

Those other psychic kids from the awakening lab in season one he took upon himself to train, he always tries to help take claw down, his absolute refusal to be brain washed and let that happen to the city, he always tries to help Mob out when he’s in trouble.

When Teru says “I win” he did. It’s an amazing victory for him because he accomplished his goal of protecting others and wants to make the world a better place and he’s become a true leader in the process.

I can’t help but think back to season 2’s Toichiro when thinking of Teru. The idea of being so drunk on power and dismissing the importance of others he expresses. Human connection is a very important theme in Mob Psycho and I think human connection is also very important to Teru’s arc for the reasons stated above

A while back my friend showed me some things in the fan book that didnt contain manga spoilers and I think the last line stuck with me because of this idea. It also took me back to that omake with him and Reigen of him having a fun summer after seeing them as boring.

I’m very very proud of him for not closing his heart off. He did a great job.

First of all thank you so much for always providing such detailed panel summary and description. You do such amazing job and your dedication is so lovely.

Now I wanna mention I am a huge huge fan of both Sam as a character, and Jared. He has been growing on me ever since i learned more about his mental struggles and watched his con videos. He is so choatic and funny and comes off as both genuine and smart. But I do notice he sometimes makes some insensitive comments.

How do you feel about the cat joke in minncon? It has been ruining my mood really and I don't even know who to tell because I don't wanna come across any Jared hate :( yet the comment was quite... distaseful. He did start with how he does love cats so I really try to see it as him just being very young, and probably very inexperienced and thanks to Jensen he was quick to fix it, but I really wished to know your insight too. Do you think it was just a bad joke? I love Jared but I am also very sensitive over such things....

I kinda think what happens is that the guys sometimes take what they say about being one big SPN family a little too literally and forget for a moment that they are actually in a big room full of mostly strangers. So they tell jokes or funny stories that would go over just fine with people they know well who know them well, but are about sensitive subjects where it's very likely to strike a wrong chord with at least a few people in a wider, less personally-familiar audience. Even without certain people in the audience eagerly waiting for something they can actively inject bad faith into.

While a lot of Jared's jokes are dad jokes, he more generally just tells a lot of groaners, and I 100% think that's all this was. Dude lives in what's practically a full-on menagerie and frequently talks about his and his kids' love of animals and did immediately preface the whole story with how he does love cats (and dogs). I suspect he was trying to make his story funnier to match the irreverent tone Jensen's story about his kids' drawings being terrible had set - but in quickly pulling a joke off the top of his head, managed to hit on something some people will never take as a joke. He immediately clarified he wasn't serious and Jensen added another joke about pissing off all the cat people to help lighten the mood. I wasn't at all upset by it because it was so clearly a joke, but I did definitely go "ohhhh Jared nooooo" in my head because I could easily see how it might be legitimately upsetting to some fans.

It kinda reminds me of one of the cons a while back where there was a Jensen and Misha panel and the fan got up and asked an earnest mental health question and Misha blew it off and Jensen made a joke about "never keep fighting". IIRC, they moved on and seriously answered after that, but it struck a very sour note for some fans for them to joke about mental health and a campaign of Jared's very close to a lot of fans' hearts, which I think was totally understandable in a similar way.

As much as fandom loves to put these guys on pedestals, they're just guys who are doing their best to entertain a crowd in what is, after all, a very impromptu fashion. I know I couldn't get on stage and engage entire rooms full of people for an hour con after con unscripted without sometimes hitting an awkward note.

Ok gonna share my response to the person who I recently replied to a post of. They responded to me and then blocked me so I am going to share a screenshot of what they wrote before I do because I can't reblog it. I honestly mean no hate. As I have made clear I have a hard time sitting silently as Nathan is put on a pedestal and Haley is criticized (which is what the original post did even if they didn't mean for it to be that way which triggers me more bc it's such a MS thing to get his audience to feel that way against a female). Before I do though, I wanna acknowledge that they they blocked me, which is their call, but it's kind of funny because 1) ppl blocking others for not blindly stanning Nathan Scott is 100% a common theme amongst OTH fans, and it's worth pointing out and 2) a post or two down from the original one the OP made says they want Haley haters to come at them lol. I don't want to come for anyone, but I can see how it seems that way. Probably inadvertently it is, but like I said I really can't stay silent when people criticize Haley and put the blinders on and excuse Nathan's actions.

ALSO I had to search for their original post, which is why I came across the other one they made. I then also saw a post they made right after about how weird it is that I responded to them, considering I never engaged with any of their other posts. This is my side blog girl! Come on now lol. I don't interact with anyone because it's hard to when it's your side blog.

My response:

I don’t want to minimize your experience and it’s so uncomfortable to even be talking about real-life experiences in comparison to this show, so I really don’t want to say much further. I am sorry you had to endure that, and anyone who’s been in a similar situation to yours knows how awful and difficult it can be and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. This conversation is about the show and that’s what I’m going to focus on. I think it is worth saying though that it seems like there’s some projecting onto Nathan from your own experience. We all relate to characters differently and everyone’s entitled to do their own thing. But again this conversation is about Nathan and Haley, and how the fandom overlooks what she had to go through because of him.

Anyway, back to the point, that’s not the experience Nathan had; as he says on the show he knew Carrie was getting attached, and he liked it. Nathan is Carrie’s boss. We females know the power our male bosses hold over us. We have been arguing to legitimize this in the U.S. Why when it's Nathan does none of that seem to matter all of a sudden? Suddenly his being male and a boss is what makes him vulnerable according to Nathan stans. How?? I am not implying that men can’t be abused, or that men who are bosses can’t be abused. But by their nanny? Really? That’s been hitting on him and he’s been engaging with it? That is a reach at best. It's uncomfortable to have this conversation and I think that's why so many don't challenge it. But Nathan is antagonistic. He just also is passive when women hit on him. That doesn’t mean that Carrie didn’t assault him in the shower because she did. But SO much until that moment, Nathan was complicit in BECAUSE he liked it. We saw him like it. That doesn’t go away just because of what Carrie did. Again he knew what Carrie was doing. She was flirting with him and he flirted back. He watched her swim naked with Haley waiting for him in the bedroom, playfully calling him her hero! He told Carrie she looked good at the bar. I don’t know why this is all getting overlooked.

That’s the thing about a lot of Nathan story lines with other women, including Rachel. The show gives him some throwaway scenes where if you just look at those it does seem like he’s not interested—like when he tells Rachel ‘not for a second’ when she asks if she’d have a chance had it not been for Haley being pregnant. But he still entertained her. We as an audience were made to feel like there was something happening there. Back to the Carrie storyline, James did a good job of being confused, but he’s bad at giving nuanced expressions when it comes to his acting a lot of the time. He struggles with it. We should not be wondering if Nathan is confused…that’s not how a faithful loving husband would behave. Especially not when his wife just forgave him in the blink of an eye for being borderline abusive. How about delving into that for a change. Why doesn’t that bother people as much as Haley not firing Carrie sooner? Again, focusing on what Haley could’ve done to prevent Carrie from doing what she did is not OK. There’s an implication here that we can’t critique Nathan but we should be saying that everything Carrie did rested on Haley’s shoulders because she didn’t fire her sooner…. That’s a big no from me. Nathan is the one who led Carrie on. That doesn’t change because of anything else in your post. And I’m gonna call out all of these posts that I see that blame Haley because it doesn’t matter if you’re a Scott Stan. He messed up huge in his marriage in season 5. This is not the time or place to be critiquing Haley. His wife who stood by him and ran their home and took care of their child alone for months. Who had faith in him when the nanny started to act up. Deflecting the blame onto Haley is a copout so that Nathan doesn’t get as much of the blame. If people can’t see how dirty he did his wife here, regardless of how Carrie treated him, then they are essentially saying that Nathan’s suffering matters more than Haley’s. It doesn’t. Especially on a show made by Mark Schwan, who neglected Joy as an actor. I’m not gonna overlook what Haley had to endure like Nathan the character or Mark the showrunner did.

I also personally think people defend Nathan so much in season 5 because it is so hard to stomach all the nonverbal weirdness that goes on between Nathan and Carrie. To accept it is to come to terms with him not being the dreamboat people project him to be. It is also so gross to me that Mark Schwahn would create all this nonverbal weirdness between Carrie and Nathan so that we as an audience feel uncomfortable, question what's happening, and are afraid of what will happen between them but at the same time have the Male character toe the line of cheating but to some he *technically* didn't and that's all that matters.

Yeah Nya was kinda forced into it. I don’t really blame Wu (sorry if you were hoping to trash him, you’re valid I just don’t hate wu that much tbh) because it’s not like he held Nya at gun point or anything (also Misako had as much part in it) and I’m sure Nya would have found out eventually but yeah it isn’t ideal. A lot of Nya’s plot is really interesting on how it explores her struggle to be independent and have control in her life. A lot of people say that she’s badly written because misogyny but in my humble opinion, I think that there’s a lot of unexpectedly decent feminist (intentional or not) commentary in her story.

Now I’m gonna use this as an excuse to ramble about Nya lol. I feel like I very much stray from your original point but ehh sorry abt that lol

Tl:dr - Nya has a lot of identity and self worth storylines as well a deterministic mindset and it’s cool to observe these themes that are present in literally all of the show

She’s a young girl who gets adopted into a highly male dominated family (she’s the only girl) and quickly adopts the mindset that she has to be better because of the need to prove herself in the face of sexism. By this I mean, she’s always getting singled out because she’s not a ninja (see: Wu asking her to stay home and watch Lloyd whilst the ninja do missions). I don’t think this literally means she didn’t feel part of the group because they were boys, it was because they were ninja but that could be a metaphor.

This leads her to make samurai X and we see that she is an incredibly talented and accomplished person. I used to wonder why she kept samurai X a secret, but I think it’s because by being samurai X, she could control her own actions and other people’s expectations of her. She could be a hero without people worrying about her safety, or her capability. Also this kinda makes sense as to why she was so competitive with the ninja

We also get reference to her need to be independent when it comes to Jay, who in s1 Snake Bit we establish that he overcompensates way too much, putting her on a pedestal and whilst it’s not like he expects much from her, he does have a perceived image of her that isn’t accurate or appreciated by her. She just wants him to be himself, so she can be herself as well. In season 3 we start off establishing how their relationship is flawed which then sets up their (admittedly awful) love triangle arc. Jay is still pretty clingy and Nya still needs her space. There’s no cool socio-political interpretation that makes Nya’s crush on Cole make sense. I mean maybe we can make it a metaphor for how ai and advance technology is kinda soulless and love compatibility is an overly romanticised endeavour and actual relationships don’t work like that. And Nya’s indecisiveness fits into the idea that she’s again forced to make decisions based on other people’s expectations?? And she still has very little control as she becomes a trophy wife essentially, like the prize to Jay and Cole’s contest. Kinda? Anyways…

And then we have s5 where the episode when she wore the green gi could be a nod to the fact that she was very much in the same shoes as the green ninja, an under-prepared hero with the power to save the world. Whilst yeah it isn’t great she was kinda rushed into the responsibility of the world, there’s also another moral to her arc, which is the subject of her true potential, her own impossible standards on herself and how she gives up easily.

Diverging into headcanon area but I like to think that both of Kai and Nya’s true potential are linked to the loss of their parents. Kai valued being the green ninja over everything else because he equates being a ninja to being able to protect his family ever since Nya was kidnapped and he had to become a ninja to save her. And so that translated to being obsessed with being a saviour and the best because if he wasn’t then he had to give up and the last thing he had to give up on was the idea that his parents were coming home. (Dunno if that made sense since I rushed that point but this isn’t abt Kai lol). Nya on the other hand gives up incredibly easily (or at least as soon as it gets hard). She felt she couldn’t be a hero alongside the ninja so she never even told them about samurai X. Instead of fully cutting off from Jay, she remains inactive in their relationship, slowing growing distant from him. Going back to my point abt s1, she seems to hold herself to a certain standard, which I feel like is a valid observation of gender in our society today. Don’t mind me getting a little political but women are held to very strict standards. There were many things women can’t do and no one ever agrees on what, women can’t be too boisterous, or rowdy, and they also can’t be too uptight or safe because then they’re boring. I think even feminist ideology contributes to this to an extent, in our own version of toxic masculinity, the idea that a woman has to be a strong independent woman because otherwise she’s giving in to the patriarchy. Specifically I mean when girls say “I’m not like other girls” and swear off make up, and feel like they have to be un-girly. It’s not that being girly or un-girly is an issue, it’s that people feel like they have to be a certain way because the other way is wrong. And Nya holds unnecessary standards to herself, and it’s only when she allows herself to be messy, unregulated, when she’s not competing to be better than the ninja or better than herself, she’s able to achieve her true potential. And whilst Wu is kinda annoying, I can believe that he’s just trying to prepare her for what’s to come, that sometimes there are no right choices (heyy I’m quoting Seabound).

AND THEN we get season 6. A beautiful Nya season. Yeah I said it, I think s6 is not only a good season, but a good season specifically for Nya. Because that first ep where she was getting judged by the media because she’s the girl ninja, is incredibly real in comparison to real life. Ninjago is a world which happens to have to same gendered standards and sexism that our world does and I don’t think it’s portrayed awfully. So Nya faces heavy critique from the public because flat out sexism, and Jay has the knowledge that she and him are literally fated to date(d). Nya explains to him at the lighthouse that she’s not dating him because it feels like she doesn’t have control of her life, she was always just an add on to someone else’s story like Kai or Jay and she’s even been forced to be the water ninja with powers she didn’t earn, only inherited. But at the end of the lighthouse ep she sacrifices herself again for the world. And importantly she puts her faith into someone else. She’s spent a lot of her screen time trying to battle it out to be independent and separate and self sufficient and self orientated, that she didn’t let anyone in. Yeah she is strong and independent but that doesn’t mean she’s not allowed to rely on ANYONE. It’s important to let others carry the burden sometimes.

Her last words in the finale of Skybound is really telling. She tells Jay that he should use his final wish at the cost of losing her, that she “never wanted to be part of the boy’s club anyways”. She’s accepted she needs to sacrifice herself, and that she still thinks she’s not really a part of the “boy’s club”. She then states that the “greatest love stories always end in tragedy” which shows how pre existing expectations (yeah I feel like I’ve said that too much) have shaped her deterministic mindset, that she isn’t fated to get her happy ending. And I choose to interpret the final wish as Jay being like “no you do get a happy ending I’m going to bend the laws of time and space because you deserve a break”. Also the title “Skybound” is also symbolic because it doesn’t just reference Jay and his powers, or Nadakhan’s floating djinnjago, but how Jay and Nya were technically bound because of Jay’s future thing and also how Nya was bound and restricted herself. Seabound also has similar symbolism but I’ll get to that.

Okay okay s7 is great because we get Nya and Kai’s parents. Tbh s7’s writing is a little weak imo, just cuz the hands of time were really under developed like they only wanted to take over Ninjago so that Krux could prevent the invention of the Borg watch??? But I think it’s nice to note that Kai and Nya’s respective attachment to their powers as seen in s11, might be because it’s one of their only connections to their parents. Their powers are not only symbolic of their connection to Ray and Maya but are also the reason they were able to save them at the end by making the dragon. I’ll go into more detail about Maya and Nya when I talk about Seabound.

Nya is also forced to kinda put her own misgivings and be a brave face for Lloyd in s9. Her brother, her boyfriend and two of her bestest friends were thought dead and she had to be strong for Lloyd. And it’s pretty amazing and she deserves the world! She’s someone who’s gone through so much loss in her life time but she just makes do and moves on. When she had no parents she and Kai looked after themselves on their own, when she couldn’t be a ninja she made herself a mech, when the ninja split up and then went missing on Chen’s island she was rebuilding the bounty and then infiltrated said island. She’s very cool is all I’m saying.

Also a moment of appreciation for how Nya and Jay’s relationship is incredibly different in s10 onwards in comparison to s1-3. Now their dynamic is that Jay doesn’t try as hard to be impressive for her, and she’s allowed to be a big strong gf who somehow keeps catching him from falling or getting injured. We get to see Nya reciprocating and CHOOSING to be Jay’s partner rather than it being Jay who initiates all the time. It’s much healthier and it’s a reflection of how they have both individually and jointly grown as people.

Something I’d say about Nya’s writing is that maybe her arcs are a little too consistent. She is constantly CONSTANTLY having to prove herself. In s11 she has to learn to control the ice in the never realm, in s13 she has to defeat the queen of the munce and assert her dominance as leader of the munce, and in Seabound she has to defend her right as the water elemental. #giveNyaABreak2022 for real. Like we know she’s badass but my god enemies are always underestimating her. Bringing back the feminist commentary but this is again, in line with the narrative that people always underestimate women or even women underestimate themselves. That’s all I got to say on this point.

Seabound is such a good season (I’m halfway through rewatching it - I stopped because I got sad at the merlopian king’s death). We get to see Nya’s independence conflict resurface as she struggles with an overbearing mother who has a specific way of doing things. It’s worth noting that Maya acts like the very traditional stereotype of what a woman should be. She’s calm, collected, motherly, wants to do housework and baby other people, a stickler for rules and manners etc. Note: there is nothing wrong with just happening to fulfil a stereotype, stereotypes are only bad when people expect that groups of people have to fulfil the stereotype purely because they belong to a certain group. Maya is allowed to like cleaning or whatever, it’s only sexist writing if we said that only women like cleaning or she only does it because woman (and she’s like the only woman who acts particularly this way, the other female characters aren’t part of the same mold so imo this is fine). However the fact that Maya does fulfil the homely wife/mother archetype adds to Nya’s own feminist narrative. Nya has basically spent her life trying to defy the expectation that she needs to calm or nice as well put together as her mother and in the season we quickly see that Nya is also trying to defy being like her mother. Nya is her own person who’s gone through different struggles than her mother and Nya doesn’t need to be like her. But it turns out that they share a crucial similarity in that they’ve both faced some really hard decisions. Maya had to abandon her family to save them and at the end of Seabound, so does Nya. In Seabound, the very powers that stripped Nya of her role as samurai are now forcing her to give up her form and her life to save the world. The whole “that’s just how the cookie crumbles” mindset is pretty consistent with Nya is s6. And the title Seabound is very appropriate because of how she’s literally bound to her powers and had to give up her life for them. And..

Spoilers for Crystalized

…we get to see the other ninja defy the impossible to get her back. In crystalized, Nya realised she wants to be herself (again that on going theme of her identity) and wants to be with her family, so much that she’d give her powers and status as the water ninja (which used to be her greatest fear). Her powers as the water ninja represented her need to be better, it represents her journey to become a powerful warrior, but maybe she’ll learn that she was always powerful and strong even without her powers and that she’s allowed to choose herself especially since she has a family of ninja who will break the law for her. I think I’m rambling now but I think you get the point.

Tbh I’m gonna miss her as a ninja and I’ll be happy if she ends up reclaiming her water powers at some point, but rn, a return to samurai x does feel like a logical next step. (I mean maybe I’m just too liberal, I’ll be happy whatever happens to her because at least she’s still kicking right?) Anyways I love Nya and more people should appreciate her! Also more people should appreciate that her story definitely tackles some very real experiences in terms of sexism, I don’t think it did a bad job at that either!

And don’t mind how meandering this post is I wrote it over 3 days lol haha.

I'm new to tumblr and just came across this bizarre blog where Harries do nothing but discuss Louis and his ''alcoholism'' and why he drinks so much and when he'll get help. Literally 30-40 asks a day all seriously discussing it and reblogging gifs of him drinking alcohol as "proof" he has a problem. Is this really what Harries think? I was horrified and reported it.

Harries love to claim they’re not obsessed when really, they are. I didn’t know about that blog as I really refuse to pay harries attention and I definitely don’t go looking for hate blogs because I’d just rather not, I try to keep my fandom space as positive as possible.

What I will say though is how it’s funny that harries have whole blogs where they’ll write think pieces about a man they claim to hate but yet ignore the fact that their actual fave also has addictions too. Like every other celebrity btw, there are very few celebrities that aren’t addicted to something, every celebrity does drugs, they all drink, like pretend all you want but it’s the way the industry is when you have money and things like that are readily available to you everywhere you go and you have so many pressures you’re going to turn to such things. Lord even normal people who don’t have money turn to those things how much more so are rich people gonna use it.

Personally for me idrc what people choose to do with their body, it’s their body not mine and I’m not here to judge what substances people put in their body’s as I’ve said no one is perfect and one of the biggest issues is that too many people love to put not only celebrities but celebrity culture on a massive pedestal when they are in fact just people like us. They lead normal lives with their own struggles. Imagine someone owning a blog about you and all they do is sit and talk about how much you drink, that’s actually terrifying and goddamn awful because at the end of the day it is none of our business not even ours as fans let alone dumb harries who don’t give a fuck about Louis and just wanna spew hatred.

Look the boys in 1D all have their hang ups, none of them are perfect they’ve all got vices and addictions, that we don’t even know about for some, do I think Louis drinks too much? Maybe, but as someone who is British there’s a difference between drinking a lot and being an alcoholic. Anyway I’m glad you reported the page harries are lame.

For hc ideas,, how about Yuki and Kenta? I think they can have an interesting dynamic!!! Or if you want another maybe Hyoma and Ryo?

Ooooooh you gave me two interesting ones!

Yuki and Kenta:

-they arent really close at first. Kenta left too early on to see Yukis character arc (which he has in my rewrite in my head okay he has character this time). Yuki as well rpimarily knows Kenta through stories Madoka and Gingka (and Benkei) tell.

-i think after ryuga dies kenta gets a bit quieter and more serious, but also spends a lit of time around the gang. Because Yuki lives with Madoka, he and Kenta end up in the same vicinity a lot.

-eventually Kenta joins Yuki for stargazing or something and they start to relax around each other.

-they have kinda similar nervous excitement energy like if theyre excited over something they tend to babble on a bit too long and struggle to form their thoughts a lot. Yukis a bit better at recollecting himself and Lenta starts copying some of his mannerisms.

-kenta becomes a history nerd. Like a bit of archeology a bit of ancient history all that stuff. He kinda wants to explore ruins when hes older. He and Yuki end up talking science and myths a lot.

-they both really really enjoy battling each other like yuki is a very nonstressful opponent for kenta to fight and they have really close skill levels.

-they tag team for tournaments sometimes (bc benkei is with kyoya and yu is with tsubasa or tithi)

-they always hang out together at legendary blader meet ups like they are the bestie gang during those things.

-also uhhh idk idk but they got similar gender vibes to me i think they like shopping for clothes together.

-neither of them can cook like madoka has TRIED TO TEACH THEM but they are kinda hopeless so if madoka isnt around they order take out and watch baking competitions.

-sarcastic af friends.

-i think yuki and kenta have a slightly different relationship then kenta has with most his friends bc yuki views kenta a bit more like an equal than a little kid. Like he met kenta much later than madoka and gingka did and kenta grew up a lot in his arc. I think therefore kenta goes to him for somewhat different issues, and also doesnt tend to think of yuki on a pedestal.

-at one point in their friendship kenta is having like a really bad day dealing with ryugas death and yuki finally opens up about his grandpas death and like they both just talk a lot and they Cannot figure out the others issues at all but they both feel a lot better having spoken about it.

Onto Ryo and Hyoma! Bitch ive got so much-:

-Hyoma hero worshipped the fuck out of Ryo when he and Gingka were kids. I feel like Hyoma used to hear Ryo tell some stories and knew of Ryo as the guardian before they formally meet, but then Gingka asks if he wants to join them in exploring the forest and Hyoma is absolutely stoked.

-i think Ryo likes having a kid so interested in the history of Koma Village around. Like, it makes him think of it better. Hes always had a bit of a bitter position with his role but seeing how happy this knowledge makes Hyoma reminds Ryo of the good moments he had learning about his home.

-he also likes the knowledge that if Gingka doesnt want to be the guardian, Hyoma will probably want to be

-Hyoma and Ryo never spent too much time together without Gingka, but when Gingka makes it known that he doesnt really wanna be the guardian of Koma Village, Ryo takes Hyoma off for camping to ask if Hyoma wants the role.

-then Ryo goes and fake dies

-Hyoma absolutely hates his guts for dying. Like, absolutely ripped up inside. Kinda blames Ryo for everything that happened to Koma Village and cannot put it to words. This gets even worse when Ryo reveals himself.

-during metal masters Ryo actually visits Koma from time to time to see if Hyoma needs any help. Hyoma will kinda give him mundane jobs to do until Ryo has to leave, and refuse to really speak to him.

-but Ryos persistent and eventually Hyoma blows up at him, blaming him for everything. Then he runs away to like some place he found while exploring the mountain and gets really guilty for all the things he said.

-surprise surprise Ryo finds him and reveals he once also found this place after an argument with his grandma (the previous protector of Koma Village). They purposefully keep some spots secret so the next guardian can find them all alone.

-they talk and basically hyoma blames him for not being a good enough protector but admits he wouldnt have been able to do better and like mourns the fact koma will have always been destroyed. He also kinda asks how Ryo has been able to move on, yknow, getting a job at the wbba and all that (that being a daughter-)

-Ryo admits hes actually really torn up still about the direction his life has taken. Hes trying to do his best as the director of the wbba but misses koma village, and doesnt feel as though he was doing enough. He also mourns like missing Gingka growing up, and how now all the people he knew are growing and leaving. Hyoma really relates to that, and it helps these two reconnect.

-Ryo continues to visit and help Hyoma rebuild, especially like some of the more historical parts of the village that Ryo knows better.

-Post canon Hyoma is around all the time. Ryo cant escape him. Hyoma is besties with both his kids and is just always there. Ryo doesnt mind though, even if Hyoma, Hikaru and Gingka are so mean to him when theyre all together.

-Hyoma and Ryo both really like making up fake lore about Koma Village. Theyll just baldfaced lie about some things and no one but Hokuto can ever tell. They have lied to all of Gingkas friends at least once. They band together and write a book of just lies once in hopes to mess up some future guardian. For funsies.

-Ryo tends to remind Hyoma not to take everything so seriously, that part of rebuilding should be remembering the good times, the ways life was fun.

-they just. Ryos such a mentor to him but Hyoma also stepped out of Ryos shadow when he was dead and truly took over as the protector. Ryo often defers to Hyoma on any matter related to Koma out of respect, and Hyoma comes to respect Ryos opinion once again.

-Ryo takes Hyoma, Gingka and Hikaru all on a vacarion once where they bounce around the world for two weeks. His reason for taking Hyoma is that Hyoma should always have a sense of the wider world hes a part of, so he can understand why the small world he preserves is such an important part of it.

Chapter 7 Bull Shark

Summary: U.A sports festival, after math of the USJ attack

Trigger warning: Mineta says you got a great body.

After the attack U.A gave us a couples of days off. Which got me thinking. Clearly I had a trigger turning me into Jaws. Though each thing I’ve searched said that the closest thing to what happened is a frenzy. Though mine was worse, so it must be my quirk. I didn’t tell anyone about what had happened beside Katsuki.

Sadly our break had end and we went back to school. Me and Katsuki sat down as other talked about the news and how we were all on it.

“Fuka? Class is about to start you should settle the class.” Iida says I nod and thank him.

“Guys! We probably have a sub today so behave! Plus class is starting soon so quiet down.”

“Yes ma’am.” They say jokingly. I roll my eyes and get back to my journal. I’ve been coming up with ideas and stuff to help with my quirk. Sensei walks in with everyone surprise.

“Mr. Aizawa, you’re back too soon!”

“You’re too much of a pro!” Denki says.

“Aizawa sensei I know teachers don’t get paid a whole lot but I’ll even pay for you to stay home.” I say.

“Fuka!? You can’t not talk to our teacher like that!” Iida yells at me. I tilt my head.

“What? I’m just offering him money?” I ask

“What money?” Katsuki asks with a raise eyebrow.

“I’m not telling you where my money is!” I say.

“It’s underneath your bed in a jar.” Katsuki says.

“HA! I KNEW YOU TOOK MY FIVE DOLLARS!”

“THAT WAS FUCKING FIVE YEARS AGO!! MOVE ON!”

“NEVER!”

“WILL YOU BOTH STOP IT! Fuka you are class rep! Bakugo you are going to be something someday. So behave!”

“He’s gonna be a lowlife villain is what.” I mumble.

“Wanna say that again dolphin?” I gasp at him.

“You-.”

“Shut it. My well-being or the amount of money I have doesn’t matter. More importantly, the fight is not yet over.” Aizawa says.

“Fight?” Katsuki says.

“Don’t tell me…” Midoriya says.

“The villains!?” Mineta whines out.

“U.A sports festival.” Aizawa answers.

“Ugh.” I whine, I hate sports.

“Oh that’s normal.”

“Is this really a good idea after the villain attack?”

“What if they sneak in again?”

“Apparently, they think of it as U.A. showing that our crisis management system is solid as a rock by holding the event. Security will also be strengthened to five times that of previous years. Above all, our sports festival is a huge chance. It’s not an event to be cancelled because of a few villains.”

“Sensei? Wouldn’t the villains be watching us? They clearly have a problem with us. I mean if they’re smart they’d watch us.” I say.

“We can’t do anything about that. Plus this happens every year who’s to say they didn’t watch last years?”

“I guess but still.”

“But that’s a good reason, isn’t it? It’s just a festival of sports.” Mineta says.

“Huh? Mineta, you’ve never seen the U.A. sports festival?” Midoriya asks.

“Of course I have.”

“There boring as hell.” I say.

“But Fuka what about the cool explosions?! Or the-.”

“One.” I point at Bakugo, he uses his quirk.

“Two I have nine siblings, two of which are older then me. And thirdly who cares? Oooh you have a quirk! I’m going to put you on a pretty pedestal just because you have one! Fuck off with that shit.”

“But Fuka you never know what someone quirk is! Like they could have laser eyes!” Denki says.

“That the best you could come up with?” Jirou says

“You try!” He snaps back

“Mind control.”

“Fair enough.” He says.

“Yeah I don’t care. Only watch it for the commercials.” I says

“Omg y/n remembers puppy monkey baby?!” Mina says

“Of course!” I gleam.

“Anyways. In the past, the Olympics were called a festival of sports, and the whole country was crazy about them. As you know, with reductions in scale and population, they’re now a shell of their former glory. And now, for Japan, what has taken the place of those Olympics is the U.A. sports festival.” Aizawa says.

“Of course, all the top heroes around the country will be watching. For scouting purposes!” Yaoyorozu says. I tune out the rest not caring. After that we head to our class with Uraraka saying she’ll try her best at lunch. Now it’s time to leave. But of course the whole schools at our door way.

“Woah…Wh-What’s going on?!” Uraraka ask. Are they that dumb?

“What business do you have with class 1-A?” Iida asks. Mineta says some whiny bullshit.

“Scouting out the enemy, small fry. We��re the ones who made it out of the villains’ attack. They probably wanna check us out before the sports festival.” Katsuki says.

“And with that some of you probably won’t make it and will easily be replaced by one of them. That someone being Mineta.” I say, he shivers.

“There’s no point in doing stuff like that. Out of my way, extras!” Bakugo try’s to get through but is stopped.

“Stop calling people “extras” just because you don’t know them!” Iida says

“I’ve tried for years man he can’t change.” I tell Iida.

“I came to see what the famous Class A was like, but you seem pretty arrogant. Are all the students in the hero course like this?” Some purple guy says.

“I-.” I get cut off by Mina holding me.

“I’m protecting our honor!” I mumble into her hand.

“You don’t need too!” She says.

“Wanna keep talking?” Katsuki ask.

“Seeing something like this makes me disillusioned. There are quite a few people who enrolled in general studies or other courses because they didn’t make it into the hero course. Did you know that?” I lick Mina’s hand and she lets go and wipes it on me.

“Omg really?! You wanna be a hero? I could not tell that’s why everyone is here! But ya know we are just, what you say? Arrogant? Yeah that the word!” I say with sarcasm.

“Well if the shoe fits, wear it.” He says

“Turn around, bend over, I’ll show you where my shoe fits.” I growl, this time Kirishima holds me back.

“Not very heroic of you. As I was saying the school has left those of us a chance. Depending on the results of the sports festival, they’ll consider our transfer to the hero course. And it seems they may also transfer people out.”

“Mineta I swear to Odin if you lose!” I yell at him.

“I promise I won’t!”

“Scouting out the enemy? I, at least, came to say that even if you’re in the hero course, if you get too carried away, I’ll sweep your feet out from under you. I came with a declaration of war.” He says I roll my eyes.

“You and I can meet at duel ground.” I say.

“I would love to but I don’t like wasting my time.” Purple hair kid says.

“Oh really? Then why are you still here?” I snap back.

“Just to give you a reminder.”

“You realize that make no sense? You just “declared war” on us. Didn’t realize we’re in the 1700s.” I air quote with my hands.

“Hey, hey! I’m from Class B next door! I heard you fought against villains, so I came to hear about it! Don’t get full of yourself! If you bark too much, it’ll be embarrassing for you during the real fight!” Some random guy pushes his way to the front.

“I would love to bite but I don’t think you want your head clean off.” His eyes widen in fear. Kiri let’s me go as Katsuki walks off.

“Wait a minute, Bakugou, Fuka! What are you gonna do about all this? It’s your fault that everyone is hating on us!” Kirishima says.

“Doesn’t matter.”

“Huh?!”

“If their dumb enough to do this bullshit then their dumb enough to lose.” People yell at us but we walk away.

“Beach or gym?”

“Gym tonight beach tomorrow?” He nods and we go.

After tons of training it’s finally here. We sit in the room and I lay my head on the table. After everyone’s done talking Todoroki speaks up about a war on Midoriya.

“What is up with everyone declaring war?” Denki asks.

“I feel like we’re in the 1700s. I have the honor to be your obedient servant~.”

“We are not going through that phase again!” Katsuki yells at me I groan.

“A dot Bur.” Denki says.

“I’ll fucking punch both of you.” Katsuki says.

“A dot Ham.” I whisper to Denki he laughs.

“Didn’t think you’d watch that stuff.” I says.

“I did when I was younger. We should watch one sometime.” He says, I smile.

“Yeah remind me at lunch time I’ll grab my phone number.”

“Kk!” I then turn away to listen to the other talks.

“Mineta did you hear?” I whisper to him.

“She’s got a great body.” I nod at him.

“You think I got a chance?” I ask he thinks for a bit.

“If you treat her like a goddess I bet.” He says.

“Of course I would.” I say a little to loud.

“Oh shit we gotta go.” We run to catch up to the others.

We get called and I just hide behind Bakugo. Though I’m taller then him so it looks weird.

“What is Ms. Midnight wearing?” Kirishima ask.

“That’s an R-Rated Hero for you.” Kaminari says.

“Is it okay for her to be at a high school even though she’s R-Rated?” Tokoyami ask.

“I mean I’ve seen worse.” I says.

“Fuka are you okay?” Kirishima ask.

“No.” I say as flash backs to my little brothers.

“Quiet, everyone! Representing the students is Katsuki Bakugou from Class 1-A! With Y/n Fuka also in Class 1-A!” We walk up and Katsuki grabs the mic.

“I pledge… that I’ll be number one.” He then walks away. People yell boos but Midnight shuts them up. I grab the mic and start talking.

“You might know me as the girl who said heroes during the sludge attack were pathetic, or maybe the girl who bites microphones and cameras. From what I can tell almost everyone here during the whole we gotta see class 1-A because they fought villains thing. You all aren’t going to be good heroes. You are planning to target my class because of me and my friend. The said class that has done literally nothing to you. I understand going for me or Bakugo but the class has nothing to do with this shit. So until then you are all pathetic heroes. Oh and before I go thank you for the opportunity!” I then hand the mic to Midnight and leave.

“Boooo!” They yell.

“Yours boos mean nothing to me, I’ve seen what makes you cheer!” I yell once I make it to Katsuki we high five.

“Fuka, thank you.” Iida says.

“It’s what a real person would do it’s pathetic what the others are doing.” I say.

“Now, let’s get started right away. The first game is what you’d call a qualifier! Every year, many drink their tears here! Now, here is the fateful first game! This year, issss!” The screen stops on an obstacle course race.

“All eleven classes will participate in this race. The course will be the outer circumference of this stadium -- about two miles! Our school’s selling point is freedom! As long as you stay on the course, it doesn’t matter what you do! Now, take your places everyone!” We all line up at the gate.

“Start!” Midnight yells. We all go, I see the gray hair kid and jump on his shoulder pushing me forward. He stumbles but makes it. I run to see a robots and it lands a hit on Mineta. I take that timing to run by but it grabs me. I gets it’s finger in my mouth and rip it off. Some wires stick out and I use my hand to pull them off. The hand goes limp and I fall down. I do a front role as I land and go back to running. I don’t listen to the teacher talk because it’s not needed.

I take a break and see the other catch up.

“If you fall, you’re out! If you don’t wanna fall, then crawl! It’s The Fall!” Mic yells. I groan, I can’t do anything with my quirk. Tsu runs ahead and jumps, landing on the rope.

“Well I got nothing.” I says I just crawl over. We make it to the next part and I shiver.

“And now, we’ve finally arrived at the final barrier! The reality here is… that it’s a minefield! It’s set up so that you can tell where the mines are if you look carefully! So you have to exploit your eyes and legs! By the way, these landmines are for games, so they’re not that powerful, but they’re loud and flashy enough to make you wet your pants!” Mic yells.

“That depends on the person.” Aizawa mumbles I just run straight ahead.

“What is Fuka doing?” Mic asks

“She’s using her six sense to avoid the mines.” Aizawa answers.

“Woah she really is like a shark.” Mic says. After a while everyone else follows some just copying my footprints and other just flying by. Which Katsuki and Todoroki fly pass me. Todoroki pushing me into a mine. I fly up and start swearing at him.

“You fucking shit head! Fucking ass!Motherfucker get your fucking bitchass over here! Fuckin’ Bitch! Motherfucking ass! When I get my fucking hands on you I’m gonna-.”

“FUKA GET OUT THE WAY!!!” Midoriya yells at me I try to fly with my hands but he hits me.

“Oof.” I say as I hit the thing.

“Oh god I’m so sorry!”

“Give me a sec.”

“Fuka?”

“Mhm.”

“Not to rush you but we’re gonna fall. And I would move over here.”

“Oh fuck.” I quickly move with Midoriya’s help and we land safeish. I roll off the metal and lay on the floor.

“Uhh well in a turn of events Izuku Midoriya or Y/n Fuka are the first to arrive! What a crazy way to win, smart but crazy.” Mic says the others make it as I stay on the ground.

“Fuka do you need the nurse?” Mina asks as I stare up at the ceiling.

“I’ll be fine. Just give me a hour or more.” I wave her off she giggles.

“Aww come on.” Mina then helps me up and I thank her. We head to Midnight as we wait for a few more.

“The first game of the first-year stange is finally over. Now, take a look at the results! The top 42 made it through to the next round. It’s unfortunate, but don’t worry even if you didn’t make it! We’ve prepared other chances for you to shine. The real competition begins next! The press cavalry will be all over it! Give it your all!” Midnight says Mina groans and I pat her shoulder. The screen shows that I got second place.

“Let me explain. The participants can form teams of two to four people as they wish. It’s basically the same as a regular cavalry battle, but the one thing that’s different is… based on the results of the last game, each person has been assigned a point value.” So I’ll team up with Bakugo, Mina and one others. Unless Bakugo doesn’t want to be on my team but I don’t know.

“You guys don’t hold back even though I’m talking, huh?! Yes, that’s right! And the points assigned go up by five starting from the bottom. So 42nd place gets five points, and 41st gets ten points! And the point value assigned to first place is… ten million!” So I have five million. Which I’m gonna get targeted. Great!

“It’s survival of the fittest, with a chance for those at the bottom to overthrow the top! During the game, it’ll be a cruel fight where you can use your Quirks. But it is still a cavalry battle. You get a red card for attacks that are trying to make people fall on purpose. You’ll be removed immediately! Now, you have fifteen minutes to build your teams. Start!” Midnight finishes. Well this will be a great day.

“Wanna join Katsuki’s team?” I ask.

“Yeah!” We walk to Bakugo and he has Sero.

“I got a plan just put me on top.” Katsuki says.

“Fine with me.” I says and Katsuki tells us the plan.

“We can’t just go after Midoriya the whole time!”

“Then go fine another team!”

“I will!” He looks like he regret it but it goes away in a second.

“Fine then!” He yells and I walk away.

“Fuka!” Gray guy yells I walk over.

“Your right, I wasn’t being manly. Do you want to join our team?” He asks.

“It’s fine, we all make mistakes. So what’s the plan?” I ask.

hello i need to talk about show!colin bridgerton and how he's my favorite and why he is so well written <3

i think colin is the bridgerton who has shown the most character growth out of all of the bridgerton brothers ... which i know is an unpopular opinion (he's sooo hated and it makes no sense to me it makes me wanna cry actually!) but let me get into my thoughts as to why, beginning with season one and the conflict with marina, which i think plays out so well. marina (who i think is a morally grey character who makes extremely hard decisions based on what's best for HER and her children!!) i think when it comes to colin, she was very manipulative ... she has to be in order to do right by her children.

she can see how colin is naive, so she’s very smart in the way she behaves to try and convince him she doesn’t see him that way. when colin tells the ton they’re engaged, the bridgertons are all shocked by this and anthony says “it’s my fault, i should have taken you to brothels, you’re too green.” emphasizing how his family as well as the ton do not take him seriously and cannot see past his “naive but charming and charismatic” persona. further proving this, when marina’s betrayal gets out, he says “i was a fool, marina was the only person who took me seriously, etc” very good set up into the realization that he needs to enter the world and find his purpose!! hence why he travels. this is where his writing comes into play. he’s a writer, he writes to pen as well as his whole family on his travels. despite his efforts, penelope is really the only one who is consistent in her replies. strengthening their friendship. which to me is just so good, its so good ! TO ME !

now season two, he comes back from his travels. his family, specifically eloise, clearly still hold the same view as they did last season. in fact, eloise downplays his letters and writing, and openly tells him she’s tired of hearing about his travels.

however we see the most growth through his interactions with pen. he tells her he spent a lot of his time getting to know himself, he’s sworn off women … given this, why would he even consider pen when he’s very clearly on his own journey (nothing to do w love or romance, he’s learned his lesson from last season. don’t just jump into things, consider options, etc.) great set up by the way, and love the continuity, him learning from his actions and wanting better for himself !!

season 2 is him realizing he can learn about himself, his purpose, his passions and he doesn’t NEED to swear off women to do this. he’s healing from the transgressions of last season. he visits marina and realizes so many things. she never really took him seriously, she wouldn’t have been happy with him or their marriage bc she did not love him and he realizes he also didn’t love her. again, more set up to him coming to the conclusion that he needs to trust himself, his gut, and to consider that people in the ton are not always genuine with their intentions. which leads perfectly into his conflict with the featheringtons and his realization that there is a person who he KNOWS cares for him, would never betray him, and thinks very highly of him - penelope duhhhh. he’s finally learned that he can trust his instincts, that he’s clever, worthy, and there’s so much more to him than just the charming bridgerton. so he takes on cousin jack and essentially comes out on top, meanwhile, protecting the family of the woman he considers his best friend.

NOW we get to his mistake, declaring what he does about penelope. he’s coming off of a high btw, he finally feels like people are respecting him and taking him seriously. (a reflection of his own feelings and how he views himself) we don’t know why he says what he says but we do know it’s essential to penelope taking him off of the pedestal she puts him on.

and so when he comes back from his travels in s3, and penelope is not the penelope he knows so well. it makes him pause. he says over and over she is a “constant” in his life. but when she doesn’t respond to his letters, and is cold to him at the ball, he has to consider why he’s lost her and how it makes him feel.

it’s all honestly such beautiful story telling and does the friends to lovers trope so well. both pen and colin are young (the major difference to me when it comes to the books) they have a lot of growing up to do and both of them are on their own separate paths to doing this. it’s great writing and really shows how they’ve grown so much from season one and now that they’re a bit more mature, how are they going to navigate this new version of themselves and come together to love each other !! its so good and i love it and i dont get the polin hate train at all i dont get the colin bridgerton HATE !! I REBUKE IT !!
