Hi! I saw your post about possible prompts and the struggle of creating, and the urge to let out everything about that au yet stuck(?) in a block. I would like to say that I so incredibly love your Hereafter AU! And I am always happy to see art and concept connected to that! I love the kids so much, each of them! (I am just a silent admirer, but I am here. ^^) Your works always make me smile when I see them, and I'd always be open and all 'ears' (read: eyes in this case) to learning more about them. So as a so-called prompt, what about telling/showing a typical day of them? Character(s) is your choice. It can be a Friday or a Saturday, just them hanging out, having their 'usual' (or not so usual) day. With or without their family member or being with just friends, the details are totally up to you. - Alice

You have no idea how happy reading this made me. And it is perfectly fine to be a silent admirer. Not everyone has to be vocal about their admiration for someone else's work and that is okay. Just knowing that people enjoy my art and au is more than enough for me to be inspired to continue with it.

Now buckle up, this gets long.

Now, I'm not sure which of the kids people enjoy seeing the most of or which they want to see more of, but for your prompt I think I'm going to go with Jax. I don't do enough with his character, and he is, in my opinion, a very interesting character.

I've mentioned before that Jax is very unenthusiastic about pretty much everything. He is lazy and he would rather play games or tinker with some invention or code than anything else. He has little interest in ghost hunting or even using his powers, even though he has already decided to join the family business when he grows up (mostly so he doesn't have to put any real effort into school).

But your average day for Jax usually starts with a frozen alarm clock. He usually waits until the very last minute to get out of bed on a school day, and on the weekends you can very much expect him to sleep till noon. He is not a morning person whatsoever and you can not have a intelligent conversation with him until he's had at least a can of coffee. He doesn't even have the energy to walk down the stairs in the mornings, usually teleporting down into the kitchen and scaring his family in the process when he appears out of nowhere.

In school he is very passive. He will not be an active participant in class, and if he's called upon to answer a question he will say he doesn't know it or just shrug his shoulders. Even when he does know the answer. He also doesn't pay much attention in class, either. He will often be found doddling in his notebooks and even corrections in his textbooks on areas where he finds errors. He has sticky notes inside of his textbooks where he's written additions and such to the text. His teacher saw this once and tried to push him to show his true intellect. It didn't work.

He doesn't have many friends in or outside of school. This is intentional though since he finds most people exhausting. Most of the time he spends it with Misty or with Aeleigh. Misty being his sister it's obvious that they'd be close, but Aeleigh is his best friend. When Misty isn't present or is away spending time with her friends or with Lennie, Jax is most likely with Aeleigh. They spend lunch together and spend their recess together. Even though Aeleigh doesn't understand it most of the time, Jax will talk about code and inventions and stuff like it with her. She will often draw what he's talking about and he will point out corrections to the design. He often use them as reference when he's building and inventing stuff.

He will often be seen with his switch in hand. It is more of a miniature computer than it is a gaming concole. He's tweaked it. He can use it to hack and has done so before. Like said, he's increadibly smart and has been naturally giften when it comes to machinery and digital coding. Think Jazz brain and Jack and Maddie's technological smarts put into together, and then amp it up a bit.

Jax doesn't really have any extracurricular activites like Lennie, who does gymanstics, or Misty, who's made it a personal mission to learn as many instruments as she possibly can before graduation. Instead he'll spend his days in his room or down in the fenton lab. Down there he'll be found tinkering with inventions or coding something. Upgrading Aeleigh's ghost gauntlets perhaphs? Who knows, really.

If he's not in the lab, you'll find him in his room. While he does have a toolbox and metal scraps and half-finished inventions (an alarm clock that's being upgraded, a computer that's being tweaked, etcetera), he usually spends his time up there watching tv shows or movies. He prefers cartoons. In his opinion they follow a formula, which makes them easy. He's a brony. He has very strong opinions when it comes to cartoons and he can talk about them for hours if you give him the chance. It's the one area where he's extremelly passionate.

Some days after school, he and Misty have ghost training. Meaning that they have training sessions at the Ghost Hunting Academy to learn how to use their powers. Danny and Valerie started it when Ghost's became a more videspread problem and didn't their kids to have it as rough as they did when they were teens.

Whereas Misty is a natural in her ghost form (being born a ghost, after all), Jax is less than enthused about it. He doesn't really care much for his ghost half and he doesn't transform if he has to. Even during training you'll find him being human unil he absolutely has to transform to use his full abilities.

Now, here's the thing about the twins. Misty is naturally a ghost, right? Jax is human and if he could choose, he would pick being human. But if they were put against each other and they had to fight seriously, it wouldn't be as easy to say who'd win the fight. You'd assume Misty since she's a natural fighter, but Jax is a better strategist. And he knows his sister well. And he knows how she fights. Where Misty has the brute strength, Jax has the brains. You could say they anchor each other.

And, of course, the end of the day would be a family dinner and then it would be off to bed. The kids would retreat to their rooms and be your average anti-social teen.

But that's how a normal day for Jax is. That's pretty much what a usual day is like. They do sometimes spend time together after school, like hanging out at someone's house or at the park. They might go see a movie or something like it, but Jax isn't very sociable. He needs his personal space and time for himself. And this is what that would look like.

Throwing in some Lennie facts as well. Mostly because she has the more interesting family dynamic. See, she has two younger half-brothers on Paulina's side (Justin, 11, and Adrian, 5), as well as an older half-brother (Ryan, about 18) on Dash's side. Not to mention that Paulina's married to a very wealthy and well-known fashion designer. Her typical day can be a bit... interesting depending on which day we're talking about.

But she spends a lot of her freetime doing gymnastics. She's good at it because she's done it for so long now, but at this point it's not something that she's passionate about anymore.

It used to be.

She started it because she loved it. Then she started to compete and Paulina got very competitive about her winning. But it was never her fault that she lost, it was always the judge or one of the other moms, etcetera. But it made Lennie feel bad and then it just turned into something she does because she's been doing it for so long.

But at school Lennie spends most times with her friends. And not always Misty, Jax and Aeleigh. Since she didn't become friends with Misty until later on in the school year, she already have a friend group at school. She does spend time with Misty during school hours as well, but she does often times eat lunch with her other friends.

At home she spends a lot of time with her little brother Adrian. She often babysits him when the other adults don't have time. Paulina is busy with her job as a model and with her make up brand, so she's often caught up in meetings and other stuff that Lennie just doesn't care for.

Now, Adrian does have a nanny, but Lennie likes to spend time with him. And Adrian often goes to her when he's sad. He's so comfortable with her that he often goes to her rom when he can't sleep instead of going to his parents room.

Lennie is a natural when it comes to kids. She's good with them. Patient and calm and knows how to play with them and match their speeds.

That's about it for now. But seriously, this was so fun to do! I absolutley loved this ask! Rambling really helped get some of the blockaged to go away. I should really think about writing a fic about these kids someday. I feel like I could probably pull some one-shots off sometime in the future.

I watched RWBY Volume 9 episode 9 yesterday the same time as everybody else and wanted to wait until now to give my thoughts because I’ll be honest i had some…..issues with it…..

Oh jeez I could literally feel many judgmental stairs pointing in my direction just now 👀😓

Don’t worry it’s nothing bad just some nitpicks I had is all….. let me explain…

So the biggest nitpick I had with the episode was that it was…..too short. It felt like to me there should have been some “breathing room” in between certain scenes for characters emotions to felt more justifiable in its tone shift compared to last weeks episode.

If you are wondering what scene I’m referring to it is the one where WBY and Jaune meet the genial gems. To clarify I do think Jaune does deserve to have that moment of clarity of the paper pleasers ascension and for the group hug he received from Weiss (WhiteKnight Whoop!), Blake and Yang.

What had me all iffy about the scene though is that Weiss, Blake and Yang were too calm, after just moments prior they saw an Injured Ruby taking a sip of tea and was sucked into the ground by the tree. I had expectations of team WBY to be a little more distraught about what happened in episode 8 so that’s why I probably felt this moment was iffy to me.

I think……in that moment if Weiss was the only one to hug Jaune and to the side Blake was comforting a worried Yang I think I would give it a pass…… I don’t know 😓

I do know that the finale of volume 9 will be a 20+ minute episode so I think if I perceive episode 9 and 10 as a part 1/2 episode together I think I would be a little bit ok with episode 9 as a whole 🧐.

The rest of the episode I did enjoy though…..especially seeing Summer Rose speaking for the first time!!! And also Ruby’s talk with the Blacksmith and the implications of Ascension for Ruby!!!

I do want to make a couple of different posts regarding those points within episode 9 because I have some theories rushing in my head after seeing Summer’s concept art and of the multiple weapons surrounding Ruby. Oh boy this final week is gonna be a long week till Saturday isn’t it😭

When Matty gets out of the suitcase at SNL, something is playing on the TV. Black and White. Looks to be about the 1920's... is that Clara Bow?

Matty trying to disguise himself, saying "are you insane, do you want to live every day like this" - relating to Taylor and how he would have to live hidden if he was with her?

Mentioning Cava and him turning his personal life into a piece of art.

Episode 3: Posted May 12th 2023

The fort in the video of how to make it is mentioned as a great "date idea" followed by "I need a girlfriend" Filmed in Melbourne. Around April 8th. Melbourne songs played - Me and You Together Song, Paris, She's American, I Couldn't Be More in Love.

Taylor had that time off, She was between Arlington and Tampa. She could have went to Melbourne. She had shows April 2nd then was off till April 13th. I don't recall if we saw her anywhere specific then. The fort he built in the hotel and the fort he shows the band in are different. The fort with the band is larger. Was the hotel fort made for Taylor? Relating back to fortnight?

"I need some fairy lights" Taylor mentions fairly lights on Poets.

tattoo artist!jean who finally gets a chance to work with you when you come in for a cover up appointment. he’s seen you around Scout’s plenty of times, you’re one of Eren’s regulars — but the bastard’s out with one of his bimbos — so now you’re shrugging out of your top at his station, exposing your shoulders so he can get to work.

tattoo artist!jean who laughs when you tell him the story of how you fought your parents at 17 because you just had to get your hogwarts house on your shoulder blade, which is how you end up here, several years later to rectify the error of your bullheaded ways. its a smooth, silky chuckle, followed by a rumbling “dumb tattoo choices happen to the best of us.” as he smoothes out the stencil of your homage to the myth of Atlas on your skin, you can’t help but notice that his touch is as soft and reassuring as his tone.

tattoo artist!jean who greets you with a lopsided grin when you stroll back in with your friend in tow. you couldn’t be more separate he notes, you walked in like you owned the place and she’s trailing behind you nervously, finger twirling in her blonde hair. “Eren isn’t here again,” he announces as he saran wraps his table. He’s only spoken to you once before, and yet he’s captivated as you stride towards him — and for a man who is normally so self assured — he’s praying that the twinge of excitement he feels by the fact that you’ll have to work with him again isn’t obvious.

tattoo artist!jean who blushes when reply “we’re actually here for an appointment with you, handsome,” shooting him a wink as you lean over the counter. a first tattoo for your friend, to be specific, she wants the image of the water bearer to go right above her elbow. she’s nervous, and Jean’s about to launch into his “first time?” routine till you beat him to it — reassuring her that you made the appointment specifically with jean because “he’s such a sweetheart, i just know he’ll be gentle with you.”

tattoo artist!jean who gets you under him again when you come back for another tattoo. “i want you to be the one who does this piece,” you say, shrugging off your top to reveal a lacy black bralette. it’s a simple concept, line work of Frieda Kahlo on your right ribcage paired with Medusa on your left, but it’s going to take more than one sitting to finish. as he’s pressing the ink into your skin, Jean can’t help but think about how lucky he is that he’s going to get you for two more hours after this next week.

tattoo artist!jean who earns Connie’s snickers as he whips his head around after hearing your voice in the doorway. you’re back because the art on your ribs just wasn’t finished yet, sliding him over the drawing of a woman resting on the crescent moon. he’s drawing the privacy curtains closed as he asks you where you want your tattoo placed, but his voice gets caught in his throat when he turns around to find you topless with a coy smile on your tinted lips. he feels like he’s 17 again, unable to take his eyes off the diamond studded barbells going through your nipples, and then you’re guiding his hand in between the plush skin saying, his large fingers now resting on your sternum as you say, “i think here would be perfect, don’t you agree?”

tattoo artist!jean who finally mustered the courage to ask you out for dinner as he’s rubbing the ointment on your irritated skin. what if this is the last time you come in just to see him? and now you’re making small talk over a nightcap in his apartment, chatting about how your job is lenient with the professional code and doesn’t mind when your tattoos show, the dumb ones and all. he’s laughing as he brings his beer back to his lips, repeating what he told you on that first fated appointment, and now you’re curious, what inked mistake could he possibly be hiding?

tattoo artist!jean who finally gives in to your relentless questioning about his most embarrassing tattoo. he rises from the couch to stand in front of you as he pulls his t shirt over his head. you’re trying your best not to drool as you take it all in — the kanji on his inner bicep, the shielded wings on his right pec, the Two-Face tattoo etched by his abs. And then you see it, the words “lick your experience” scrawled beneath his belly button, a series of emoticons of varying mood lined up underneath. he’s about to begin the story about how he lost a drunken dare, but you pull him close by the belt loops and lick a stripe across the tiny smiley face in the row. you giggle as you see him look down at you mouth agape. “that may have been presumptuous,” you begin, pausing to press a kiss against the horseshoe underneath his adonis belt, the red lip stain standing boldly against a tawny happy trail, “but i’m feeling a bit lucky.”

tattoo artist!jean who finds the art on his tanned skin growing because of you. he’s now got your sun, moon and rising on the digits he’s currently curling inside you, and you’ve got his on the fingers tightening in his hair as he flicks his tongue across your clit. he rises up to pull you in for a sloppy kiss after you’ve successfully broken apart, and then you’re flipping him over so you can straddle his narrow hips. you’re moaning as you sink yourself on him, the line art of the couple kissing on your forearm flexing as you steady yourself on his chest. he’s propping himself up on the arm that holds that tattoo’s counterpart, burying himself in the crook of your neck so he can suck a hickey into your soft skin. he’s methodically biting and sucking on the ink that isn’t his work, it’s apart of the ritual he has, the one he does to make up for the fact that he wasn’t your first. because as the bruises blossom, he paints a canvas that makes his art stand out more — making his love the only thing that’s engraved on your skin.

Poedit Cut/Unused Content: BobbySuit

Was plannin’ to do these in the order I posted them on reddit, but the cut bobby quest concept art is makin’ the rounds so here you go.

Might maaaaybe have found some of the cut mission where, as Arthur, you would impersonate a constable? The first bit sounds like you - Constable Hapenny - would go to a house full of Downers, sneak in, and disarm whatever security they had for the rest of your party of bobbies to raid. Later - or maybe upon rewrite - you'd help quell a Downer riot. I also found a bunch of "poshie_riot" lines that all sounded like stuff Wastrels say, so fairly generic stuff reused elsewhere, not worth collecting.

01 Now listen here. They're being silly buggers over at Titchfield House. Entire lot of them won't take their Joy and poor Doctor Shelley can't even get in to fix them up.

Too_Many_Bobbies

Only suspect this might be part of the impersonation quest because Lines 24 and 26 are for Arthur and sound like one of his undercover, gift-of-gab moments. Most of it is an eavesdropper between two female Wellies.

01 You ever seen a man with a mushroom growing out of his face?

02 No, and I don't think I'd like to.

03 Then don't go to Hedgemead Lane. There's a constable on the ground that's got mushrooms growing out of his face.

04 Why doesn't he take them off?

05 I dunno. Maybe he's gone on holiday. There was a whole squad of bobbies around him, and a doctor. They were all "nothing to see here move along."

06 I said, "There is too something to see, he's got mushrooms growing out of his face."

07 They were all, "Police matter, mum, nothing to worry about."

08 I suppose it's nothing to worry about then.

09 Gave me a chill down my spine. People oughtn't have mushrooms growing out of their face, y'know? I can't wait till I forget about it.

10 Ain't that the truth.

11 Has the plague spread here? Christ.

13 That's plague all right. If it's come to the Village, I'll need some more medical supplies. Like that Doctor probably has in his bag.

14 Is that plague? Has it spread here?

24 Yeah, no, the sergeant hates me, and I have to take regular Joy.

Additional notes:

Intriguing that the mission is to prevent the town from killing the Downers in the house. There seems to be a distinction that these Downers are salvageable, if only Doctor Shelley can get in there to tend to them.

More locations! Titchfield House, Brougham Hayes, Horseshoe Walk, and Hedgemead Lane.

In a comment on my original post, it was suggested to me that this mission would follow from your conversations with Constables Bevan and Cozans and the riot would take place in Lud’s Holm.

You know, I totally thought that too and I dug about in that area of things for anything that led in that direction and I didn't find anything. It feels like there's definitely parts that either I haven't found yet or that aren't actually there to be found; establishing dialogue that explains how Arthur would get in that situation. It seems like it should follow from there, but there was nothing really segueing one quest's lines into the other.

Although food for thought, the quest titles (which is distinct from the subtitles for the quests) for the whole Bobby HQ thing are codenamed RespectMyAuthority so maaaaybe Respect_StGeorge was related? Hard to say.

I don't think these would be in Lud's Holm though. The "combatants" as such are referred to as poshies in the filenames, meaning they'd be Wellies, civilized people who yet are choosing not to take their Joy. The dialogue about the social order breaking down implies that too. Wastrels can't really be blamed for not observing social mores, but Downers can. (Which is to say that there is a distinction between Wastrels and Downers, although they are often conflated, purposely at times. Arthur even comments as such at a point.)

My guess is this concept was reworked because public Downer revolts don't really jell with the whole sneakily-trying-to-escape-town thing and they complicate other elements of the story like all the more disparate underground resistance movements. Overt resistance like riots would give Mr. Kite, William Godwin, Bolton and the Mad Haberdasher, and whatever subterfuge the Reform Club does reason to seek each other out and organize. As is, they all seem unaware of each other.

Also, if this had played out, Arthur would be in a position of selling out people exactly like him to further his own goals. While that would be keeping with his character, it's makes him a lot less sympathetic to the player. Cracking skulls in a Downer riot is a lot less morally ambiguous than most of the other shitty stuff he does on his way out of town.

Still, it would have been cool to have an undercover mission with the Bobby Suit in some capacity, if only just to make quests like "Moon Juice Leach" and "Tits Up Downer" tidier to execute.

Anyways, here’s my ref sheet for Oleander. I came up with a few more concepts while I was making it, like them being a fusion of a witch and a robot and having magic powers (as well as robot stuff like laser beams)

in regards to the aoex pride post i made last month, here are my personal headcanons as to why i think those are their sexuality’s! ( also thank you to @johnannepeterric for asking about this as i’ve been waiting to share these for a hot minute!!)

reason: i don’t think he exactly cares for the concept of gender and sexuality but just thinks people should be allowed to like and be whoever they want. he knew he was in the wrong body since he was a little kid but never knew how to phrase it till later on in life. as for on screen reasons, he tends to cover up quite a bit before and after becoming a demon as well as tending to wear baggy clothes to hid his form. not to mention he has very poor posture which most transmasc people (myself included) tend to do when we can’t bind or don’t feel masculine enough. and i think he’s gay mostly due to the fact that he’s never really shown to have any friendships outside of the exwires and tends to get his platonic and romantic affections mixed up quite a bit (as to explain why i still headcanon this after the manga and his confirmed feelings towards shiemi)

yukio:

sexuality: bisexual

reasoning: he seems to show and equal amount of emotions to his colleagues and to the exwires and im like 90% sure he doesn’t really talk about romantic through the manga/anime at all. i think he’s always known he’s liked both genders since he was young. shiro seems like he was very accepting and i honestly think he would’ve helped both the boys with their sexuality’s and gender since he didn’t get the freedom to express that stuff when he was younger due to you know ‼️‼️(SPOILERS) ‼️‼️ literally being a clone made in a lab. yukio seems the type to not really care about gender when it comes to romance and instead look for traits like personality and motivations. his friendships are most based on him genuinely liking the person rather than keeping up with his appearance as someone who’s quite popular. this could possibly lead to the same being transferred over to his romantic bonds.

shiemi:

sexuality: lesbian

reason: like rin, she tends to get romantic and platonic affection mixed up from not having friends till high school. there’s a bit in the manga where izumo brings over some romance novels to try and help shiemi out with figuring out her feelings. we all know most romance novels don’t exactly have the best explanation for feeling so i think that’s where shiemi got mixed up. she gets her admiration for rin mixed up with romantic feelings when in reality, she’s not into him. we can also use the garden scene from kyoto arc as some reasoning to this headcanon. izumo called shiemi a weed and she surprisingly takes this “insult” very well and even thanks izumo for the interaction. even later in kyoto saga, we see shiemi use even more of her power to save izumo from the miasma. she clearly cared a lot about izumo and basically wore herself down to the the brink of exhaustion trying to dave izumo herself when she could have easily run and got help from another exorcist. sheimi seems to care deeply about her friends but shows more concern to izumo than any other exwire (minus rin and yukio).

shima: ‼️‼️ HIS WHOLE HEADCANON REVOLVES AROUND MANGA SPOILERS SO THATS A HEADS UP‼️‼️

sexuality: gay

since he found out about izumo from the illuminati, he never really had a “crush” on her per say, but showed an unromantic interest in her due to her past and just wanted to know more about her. since he had kinzou around him as a kid, i think that played a huge part in him hiding that he was gay (just bc kinzou is a huge perv and probably pushed some of that onto him). that could also lead to the reasoning as to why he’s so pushy with izumo. he’s trying to convince himself he liked women by trying his hardest to like izumo. the kinzou thing is the only thing really leading to me believing this but an alternative reason could also be a fear of changing his personality this late on when both suguro and koneko have known him to be a certain way since he was young. he’s shown to have this perverted personality since he was quite young and it’s even mentioned in an extra concerning why suguro and koneko use his last name and not his first. these two factors lead me to believe his attraction to izumo and subsequently, his attraction to women, is just a lie he’s putting on.

koneko:

sexuality + gender identity: pansexual and genderfluid

reason: koneko is shown to have a deep love and care for the people around him and i think that not only applies to him with friendship, but with romance as well. like yukio, he tends not to focus on the gender of the person perusing him, but rather their intention, personally, and motivations. he wants to know if his partner is a good person rather than their gender. gender wise, i just don’t think he cares. it’s not explicitly shown but it can be heavily implied when he talks to rin about why he has a hard time trusting him after the “son of satan “ reveil happens. for gender identity, i think i as a kid, he was commonly referred to by most pronouns since he wasn’t exactly the most “boy looking” when he was young. later on he learned he didn’t exactly mind what gender people perceived him as but rather how they perceived him as a person. there’s no canon information for the genderfluid headcanon but again, these are my personal headcanon, they don’t exactly have to make sense.

suguro:

sexuality + gender identity: gay and trans (ftm)

reason: this one is mostly me projecting onto this man so if it doesn’t exactly make sense, y’all know why! but he’s shown to be quite affectionate to rin in both the manga and the anime. he doesn’t really tend to do that too much to other people, especially the women that are around him. he probably has some sort of crush on rin or at least some form of admiration to him. as for his gender identity, this is literally just me projecting. that’s it. but i think he does show some signs that i tend to show as a trans person ( the one example i can name off the top of my head is that he seems pretty insecure when shima and koneko brought up his body before he started working out and hates mentions of his body in general ). like rin, he tends to have very poor posture and also doesn’t wear form fitting clothes and this is especially prominent in official art.

izumo:

sexuality: lesbian

reason: she has a very deep relationship with paku and shiemi after the events of the manga take place. she never shows this same connection with any one else throughout the series. she gets severely worried once paku leave cram school and is shown to be quite empty after this happens. ‼️‼️SPOILERS‼️‼️ the same thing happens once shiemi leaves cram school as well and is taken by her family to go train. she seems to be deeply affected by these two events and even goes as far as to show the others her concerns after the thing with shiemi happens. after she ‼️SPOILERS‼️ gets kidnapped by the illuminati and winds up the the hospital, shimei is the first person she lets see her true emotions and feelings and doesn’t once make a comment on her being some kind of hindrance. we also see her show quite a bit of empathy towards shiemi when in kyoto. there’s a scene where they two are gardening and she calls shiemi a weed. she’s very much plays into a tsudere type roll in the beginning but this seems more like a backhanded compliment rather than trying to be a jerk to her. both of the girls receive this interaction in a positive way. we also can use the scene where shiemi saves izumo as a reason for this as well. izumo shows a genuine concern for shiemi both during and after her being stuck in the miasma. even when they go to the hot springs, she seems to have this perpetual blush while looking at shiemi. these all lead me to think she has some sort of feelings toward both paku and shiemi, leading me to headcanon her as a lesbian.

shura:

sexuality: lesbian

she was basically born just so she could produce a child to fuel some demons deep desires. her unhealthy attachment to shiro can be explained by this. i think this is the case for all the “attraction” she showed towards him as a young girl. all her life she’s been told she has to have kids with a man and that’s was her purpose for a long time. thus why i think she’s a lesbian. she never shows any real attraction to a man throughout the entire series besides the man who saved her as a child. she never talks about men till after her character arc in the manga and even then, it seems she just wants to live the rest of her life differently than before and doesn’t exactly seem too enthusiastic about finding a husband as it’s never mentioned again after that point. she really only seems to show an “attraction” to men when it’s useful to her. she uses her looks and charm to get what she wants when it comes to men. she has this facade she puts on where she acts innocent and cute and uses her looks to her advantage. she never truly shows an actual attraction to a man.

mephisto:

sexuality + gender identity: gay and genderfluid

reason: i don’t think any of the demon kings are cis. like not even remotely. they all have to take on different forms and have taken on many in the past. as long as it’s a body, they’re basically fine with whatever. mephs past forms are never shown but we can assume he’s taken on many different body’s in the past as well. after all this body hopping and the fact that gender is literally a thing made up by humans, i don’t think meph really cares about the forms he takes and how his gender is perceived. he knows he’s a powerful demon and could easily destroy the knights of the true cross if he wanted too so gender is the last thing he really cares about. as for sexuality, nothing on screen really points to anything but he tends to show more affection to the men on screen than the women. in fact, the only women we see him really interact with (that i can remember) is shura and we all know how they feel about each other. even though those two both “flirt” with one another, these seem to be more so parts of their personality’s rather than them both having an interest in each other. his “flirting” with shura seems to be more taunting her and displaying his absolute discard for human problems.

amaimon:

gender identity: agender

reason: just like meph, amimon had possessed(?) many different forms over the course of their existence. we even see him take on a rather feminine presenting form when they were destroying the earth. but unlike meph, he is less fluid in terms of gender and instead, prefers to not identify with one. she does use all pronouns and doesn’t exactly care on that front but i think there’s certain terms and compliments they don’t exactly like. meph does use gendered terms with amimon, but these two seem to be very close and have probably communicated this before as well. like koneko being genderfluid, there’s no definitive evidence to support this claim other than these are my own headcanons and i can do what i want.

Begonia here was kind of hard, but overall it was a lot easier than Agapanthus fOR SURE.

The Concept of the Track - Begonia:

In the beginning it was a simple, scrapped draft that was lying in the corner while the previous song, Agapanthus was being edited to completion.

When I first opened the music file, it did feel kind of Rook-like but it didn’t hit me like a truck for this song. It was boring, cringe, catchy...but annoyingly catchy in a way. It didn’t feel like the Rook we know and love - so I decided to do another one instead.

For Rook he’s known as enigmatic and eccentric (well in my opinion), so I definitely wanted his theme to sound that way. But if I’m going to be honest here - the whole theme sounds jumbled up.

The theme sounds like a tiring, never-ending journey of adrenaline rush...except the ending is rather unexpected! I never expected the guitar to be even in the last bits of music there but...it somehow did. (:’)))))))

To summarize, Begonia is an amazing track for Rook and for my ears. Not a bop, but it works for me (lol). I hope it sounds great to your eyes too, oh great reader ( ╰(´꒳`)╯).

Imagery and Ideas From Listening to Begonia:

In the beginning I imagine Rook bowing to Vil amusingly, lowering his hat while looking sus.

Also I imagine him in game mode using multiple arrows to hit his opponent (you) and Vil sometimes helping him by adding poison to the arrows.

TWSTxDAL Plot - Continuation!

Warning - long reading ahead!

Note: This is not a full continuation of the story in Agapanthus to avoid spoilers. These can be consider teasers of the upcoming story.

A mysterious figure laid above the roof of the glamorous villa, their hands twirling a freshly-bloomed Begonia. Its sapphire petals laid bare to unwithered skin - basked with warm, welcoming rays of the evening sun. Emerald eyes fixated on the meticulous veins of the petal, before subtly shifting its glance to the person next to him. “Good afternoon, Vil.” “Same to you, Rook.” His light, blonde curls bounced as he spoke. “May I ask why you had to call me on top of the roof?” Rook roared with laughter. “Roi de Poison, I want to reconsider the contest that has commenced two weeks ago.” “If it has something to do with that Invidaé potato and those Spirits, I’m not allowing them to join for VDCI.” “Dearest Vil, I understand that they may be a disadvantage...but maybe if you reflect carefully and ponder on the subject - this could be the most fantastic opportunity yet.” Breathless silence befell the two, as Rook’s words sunk deeply into his thoughts. “An opportunity?” Vil huffed in wry amusement. “Explain how conjuring unstable in one place can be considered an opportunity.” “That’s the thing, *mon ange. You want to be even more successful and modern, right? If we bring the Spirits on our side, then maybe the whole world will express a change of heart.” “Rook...we can’t do that - it’s not time yet.”His lavender eyes shifted to tile roofs, glaring at it.“Failing to properly prepare for the worst, is like begging for disaster and danger.” “*Mon bégonia bleu...” His scarred, veined hands wrapped around the blonde’s unblemished, lily-white ones. Emerald and lavender met one another, their gaze unwavering and sparkling in the apricot sun. “We never know what the future may hold.” His grip tightened, unwilling to let go. Moments later, Rook’s hands gently moved a strand out of Vil’s face; before planting his hair with the begonia. “I understand that you may not be ready. I will wait with you, but if there’s a time to begin - it is now.” Instantly, Vil pulled away and stood up hastily. “Enough of the dramatics, we've arranged an appointment in the next hour.” He uttered before turning his back to the golden-haired being. “Meantime, I’ll consider it. Also, Rook - don’t touch my face. I put my life’s work into it.” A radiant smile and chuckle escaped his lips. “Apologies, Vil.” With speed, Rook descended smoothly to the ground of the villa before catching a slightly trembled Vil in his hold. Forcefully, Vil sped inside the front door while Rook simply followed after, all while maintaining an enthusiastic smile on his face.

Girl who made the night sky: p5

NOTE: so I started writing this again this year but didn’t get very far. Here’s what I wrote if anyone was interested. I might post it on ao3 as well, not sure.

Summery: To return home Shikako splits herself infinitely across dimensions. A fault in one of the splits results in a discorporated Shikako stranded in the Naruto canon-verse.

Part 3, Part 4

Her alarm goes off just as the sun begins to peak between the buildings opposite her apartment block. Sakura roles over to glare at the thin beam of light filtering through her window, catching in floating dust particles. Somewhere in the dark of her mind Kako shifts with amusement, prodding at her sluggish thoughts, pushing them into a state of awareness.

/Morning./ The word is said slowly, echoing with a lazy laughter. Sakura scowls, flopping over to hit the snooze on her alarm, yawning. She is still getting used to waking up at dawn and is thus completely reliant on her alarm to shake her from her sleep. A real shinobi would have enough control to wake up whenever they desired.

/Practise makes perfect,/ Kako says as if guessing the direction of her thoughts.

“Easy for you to say,” Sakura mutters, dragging herself up and yawning again. There is more idle amusement from Kako.

/Have a good day./

Slowly, the impression of Kako fades into the neutral baseline of just-Sakura, signalling that the other was asleep.

“I will,” Sakura comments in her renewed alone-ness.

Kako now slept during the day, leaving Sakura to her own devices. Whatever that not-dream had been, it had disturbed Kako enough that she now spent most of her ‘awake’ time watching over Sakura while she slept. This left only a few scant hours in the evening for discussion, conversation and hanging out together. Despite only having Kako around for a few months, Sakura already misses the other’s presence. Though their interactions had always been limited, reduced to scattered sentences and the occasional emotion, just having Kako listen to her ramblings or watch as she walked to and from the academy, studied or completed whatever other task she had set herself. Funny how much of a difference just having someone around and interested made even the most mundane parts of life.

Discouraged by her own solitary thoughts, Sakura contemplates returning to bed and sleeping an extra hour. Not like Kako would know if she did. The notion passes quickly. Kako would be disappointed and the thought of disappointing Kako make her sad. Also, she was pretty sure it was dangerous for her and Kako to sleep at the same time. Sakura’s not an idiot. Even if Kako had yet to outright say it, she could put two and two together. Something bad had happened during the nightmare other than just giving them a fright.

The rest of the morning progresses according to her new schedule. She dresses and packs her bag. With her collection of notebooks steadily increasing, it was starting bulge in the middle. The sooner she figured out how to properly make storage scrolls the better.

Next, she shuffles down to the kitchen, pulling together a meal with the correct amount of nutrients. Now Sakura is waking up before her mom, she has been forced to plan her own meals. Kako had been very helpful in that department, pushing her towards the type of diet she would need to help with muscle growth and keep her energy levels high throughout the day. It didn’t taste particularly nice, but it was functional, and she couldn’t help but wonder if the other non-clan kids knew about this sort of stuff. Meal planning was something they’d touched on in class but not something Sakura had bothered applying to her day-to-day life. Sure, she’d always tried to eat healthy but, like most things ninja related, there was a lot more to physical conditioning than just that being healthy. It had only been a week but she has already noticed a marked improvement in her daily energy levels.

Sakura closes the door her apartment just as she begins to hear her parents start to shuffle around, preparing for their own workday. She takes a second to breath in the cool morning air before heading towards the old academy training grounds.

When she arrives the training area is empty like it usually is. Not a lot of academy students bothered coming out so early, especially not to this training spot which was in an awkward location. She hadn’t even known it existed till Kako pointed it out.

Another yawn.

A long sigh.

Sakura begins her warmup stretches, trying not to let the silence of her own mind bother her too much.

She is maybe halfway through the revised exorcize routine that Kako put together for her, when movement at the edge of the training field catches her attention.

It startles her enough that she almost trips through the final set. If Kako were awake Sakura might have had some warning as Kako was usually the one to sense and alert her to people approaching unexpectedly. Maybe she should work on her spatial awareness or lack thereof. She’ll add it to the list.

As it is, she thankfully doesn’t trip and embarrass herself because the person approaching is very familiar.

“Sasuke-kun!” She can’t help but call an enthusiastic greeting, waving. Sasuke freezes on approach, staring his usual blank stare. He blinks, expression shifting ever so slightly to surprise. Well, as surprised as someone as cool as Sasuke can be.

“Hello!” What were the chances of running into Sasuke outside of school hours? Practically zero. Ino would have a fit.

Saskue about-faces and walks in the opposite direction.

“Wait!” She starts to follow as the other quickly disappears into the trees encircling the training grounds.

“Do you want to train…” She hesitates, slowing, “with me…?”

Does she want Sasuke to see her huffing and puffing as she tries to make it past her tenth lap of the field? Her stamina is less than impressive and Sasuke always placed in her class’s top three when it came to combat and physical ability. She stops following. No way was she letting Sasuke see her like this.

If Kako was right, and she usually was, she would start seeing a physical improvement in another weeks time.

She pouts, trying not to feel too unmotivated. Maybe…hopefully, she’ll see Sasuke out here again and ask to train then? Then she wouldn’t be a total embarrassment. Yes, a prefect plan. She resumes her exercises. Before Kako had come along, catching up to Sasuke would have seemed like an insurmountable task. Now Sakura’s seen what a real shinobi is capable of and said shinobi believes she is capable of the same things, it doesn’t seem as impossible. Goal reaffirmed, she tackles the rest of the morning with renewed energy.

...

Her day progresses as per usual. Sakura sits in class, takes notes, and revises on past topics when Iruka deviates between teaching and crowd control. When lunch break starts, she takes it as an opportunity to sit around the side of the building and examine her sealing notes. Away from her noisy peers, she has a chance to sort through all the stuff she’s been learning and figure out what questions she wants to ask Kako in those few hours they have together in the afternoon.

“Why do these seals use a bunch of descriptive kanji while this one is just a collection of stylistic lines?”

She mutters to herself, scanning the copies of Kako’s seal and her copies of Iruka’s notes on storage scrolls. The storage scrolls are easy enough to understand. The symbols and lines follow a logical progression, building on the basics she’d learnt while studying explosive tags. Kako’s seal is different…very different. Instead of easy to follow connections between the function and kanji, Kako’s seal is a simple circle, spiral and tomoki. Nothing else…No hint at what the lines might mean.

….

/Seal is collapsed…simplified. Needs expanding./

Is Kako’s somewhat confusing answer. After spending most of her lunch, then the following lesson mulling the question over, this is less than satisfying.

“What do you mean by needs expanding?” There is a long pause and Sakura waits for Kako to find the right words and energy to talk. Kako could almost communicate in full sentences now but it was still somewhat stilted.

/Not the full seal…simplified…smaller./

Sakura frowns, staring at her desk. Strewn across it are piles of notes, several bottles of ink she’s been infusing with charkha, and blank sealing paper. She had been half asleep at the time but she vaguely recalls how, on the night of Kako’s arrival, the seal had been a lot bigger, stretching across almost all her visible skin.

“You mean this is only a small part of the seal and there’s more that I can’t see.” A wave of warm encouragement has Sakura continuing, “No, it’s more than that…all the seal is here it’s just…. just smaller…symbolic of the larger seal.”

/Compressed./ There’s a warm swell of pride like she’s just understood some tricky concept Kako’s been trying to impart

“Well …then how do I study it? How do I un-compress it?”

/An expansion seal./

She groans, “So…I need another seal to look at this seal.”

/Hmmm./

“Let me guess: That’s complicated as well.”

/Basics first./

Sakura rests her head on the desk, sighing.
