Femme Fatale Guide: Tips For Mindful, Healthy Eating
Be mindful of the foods you keep at home: While I'm not a fan of restriction (especially of entire macronutrients), know yourself well enough to help yourself prevent binging on trigger foods that you start overeating when stressed, tired, etc. My rule of thumb is if I would be uncomfortable having 2 servings of something in a sitting, it doesn't belong in my fridge/freezer/pantry. Keep those treats for socializing or outside of the home.
Discover a selection of healthy meals, snacks, and staple items you love: Physical, nutritional, and emotional satisfaction are all essential to keep your cravings in check. Consider the 5 or so lunches/dinners you love and 1-3 breakfast options, at least 1-2 sweet and savory snacks (like fruit, popcorn, edamame, etc.) to create a simple rotation to keep you satisfied throughout the week. Experiment with different recipes/produce/spices/low sugar & low-fat condiments and seasonings to find what combinations taste the best to you.
Check-in with yourself before eating: Ensure that you're eating due to true hunger rather than feelings of boredom, stress, sadness, etc. If you have the urge to emotionally eat, try to get moving by shaking your arms, dancing around your room, taking a walk, etc. for at least 5-10 minutes before considering getting something to eat.
Enjoy mindful eating: Eat with as few distractions as possible. Take your time to enjoy the food. Take small bites, put your utensils down between bites, and chew slowly. Check in with yourself throughout the eating experience to reconnect with your hungry cues as you get through the plate or bowl of food. See if your hunger is decreasing and how full you feel throughout the experience. Make eating its own separate and enjoyable activity whenever possible.
Have indulgent teas, coffees, and fruit water on hand: Eat if you're truly hungry. But, for the times you're bored or stressed, having a vanilla or cinnamon tea, a cup of cold brew, or a lemon/fruit-infused water can satisfy your desire for some palette simulation
Don't get into a binge-restrict cycle: Allow yourself to eat when you're truly hungry, otherwise, you will overcompensate at a later date. A good litmus test to see if you're truly hungry is to reflect on whether multiple food options could satisfy your current desire for food. If only one food or unhealthy options sound desirable, you're probably experiencing a craving rather than true hunger.
Stay hydrated & get enough sleep: Drinking enough water and a full night's rest are essential to prevent energy crashes that increase your hunger and decrease your inhibitions to give into stress binges or choose unhealthy options. Always keep a glass of water by your side when working, watching TV, etc. to prevent dehydration or a general lack of fluids. Give yourself a loose sleep schedule with an hour or so grace period for your ideal bedtime and wake-up time for the workweek and the weekends.
Ensure you're meeting all of your vitamin requirements: Your body will naturally feel sluggish and more susceptible to cravings if you're not getting enough of certain nutrients on a regular basis. I always supplement with B12 and vitamin D as someone who's been vegan for over a decade. Make sure your diet incorporates nutrients like iron, magnesium, and zinc (common nutrient deficiencies).

Wellness Wednesday:
Doubts Creepin' In
Couple of weeks ago I said I wanted to "finish strong" - I wanted to weigh the lowest I've ever weighed on my last weigh-in, I have a few unwritten goals that I want to surpass, and I want to skate into the New Year flawless on my diet.
Well,
I have become extremely snacky recently. I am still eating "clean" but the portions are getting out of control.
The recent Snack Attack obviously hasn't helped my weightloss progress
And...
I got a Family Holiday Dinner coming around corner just before my penultimate weigh-in and I don't know if I can resist all the side dishes... especially since I will be deprived of my most coveted Holiday Elixirs - I'm talking about the Three Wise-Men of Winter Goodness:
Cranberry Punch,
Eggnog,
and Hot Chocolate
Hot Damn, I will miss thee three.
Lastly - I absolutely cannot stand working out/exercising at the moment. Every work has been completed begrudgingly.

Desktop. This screenshot that I took that I love.
Last song you listened to: A synthwave song that I've been listening to on repeat called Ghost by 3force. Sometimes I'll listen to the same song 500 times in a row. Last album I listened to was Room On Fire by The Strokes.
Currently reading: Haaaaaaaa... I haven't had the chance to dive into reading in months, whether it's fics, books, or otherwise. Been way too busy writing and haven't been able to commit myself to reading anything long. After I finish part I of my fic though, I'm definitely taking a break to read all the things.
Last movie: John Wick 4 & Glass Onion. Both very good.
Last show: Locke & Key, The Last of Us
Craving: Coffee and something savory for breakfast. I haven't eaten yet. (Or ramen. I can always eat ramen.)
What are you wearing right now: My pajamas, an old t-shirt and lounge shorts.
How tall are you: 5' 7"
Piercings: Three, all on my ears
Tattoos: Nope, too much of a chicken shit.
Glasses? Contacts? Glasses while I'm driving at night, because I'm getting old.
Last drink: Water
Last thing you ate: Popcorn
Favorite color: Orange
Current obsession: Cyberpunk 2077, bones, symbolism in media, and birds.
Any pets: Does 12 houseplants count?
Favorite fictional character: First of all, that's mean making anyone pick favorites, so here's some in no particular order. River Ward - CP 2077 (of course), Saitou Hajime - Rurouni Kenshin, Arthur Morgan - RDR2, Phillip Marlowe, Alucard - Hellsing, Delilah Bard-Darker Shade of Magic, Terry McGinnis - Batman Beyond, Olivier Armstrong - Fullmetal Alchemist. (I've got eclectic taste and a thing for detective characters.)
The last place you traveled: Maine and Quebec
I'm not gonna tag anyone , but if you're reading this feel free to do it if you like! I'd love to get to know peeps a bit better.

it's only been two days but i feel good about myself :)
morning work outs
breakfasts - which i dont usually do
early sleep time - 12mn as of current, last week for several days my sleep time was 4am... heh, progress, right? and today i woke up at 4am to study before class starts
light lunch or no lunch - thinking of this as an intermittent diet that's why i try to eat a healthy and heavy breakfast
break time nap time - usually our classes have a minimum of 10 minutes, so there's time for a nap !!
been making studying entertaining - this started when mama first gave me a bowl of popcorn while i do some readings and until now it makes things even better (or i just really like popcorn)
tea time - brought this back !! while i digest my dinner i've been drinking peppermint tea while studying before i go to bed
samsung alarm - i feel like everyone knows the difference of intensity a samsung alarm and an apple alarm has. calmer alarm = less panic in the morning
next week's already my finals and i feel it's important i feel good and a bit calm this week so as to not bring the stress and anxiety along with the standard set of negative energy that's already there during exams, haha
also, correct me if i'm wrong with the usage of the term, i find it funny how, as a coping mechanism to stress, i have been regressing - listening to disney songs and as of today, started to rewatch children shows like backyardigans and little einsteins. deadlines have been the major cause of my stress this week because we have a minor subject that gave 20+ activities and I just want things to get done real quick because I want to focus on studying for my majors
i hope everyone's doing well !! goodluck on exams, deadlines, work, studying ++, Ponyo's transforming for additional luck, she says (did she tho? haha)

Which is your favorite meal: breakfast, lunch, or dinner? And what is your favorite to have at this meal? (And if it's hard to choose, current favorite is just fine!)
sorry bout the wait, i was making nacho popcorn
hmm. to be honest, there's no real difference. i grew up poor so i'm still in the habit of basically eating one meal a day (lunch/dinner combo. dunch . . . ) and grazing the rest of the day. dinners are nice, though.
i like cooking steak for dinner when it's something like that. curry or heavy garlic steak is nice. i also like eating roasted brussel sprouts or asparagus. if someone else is making it, i really like eating curry with cheese. or chilli with cheese. on rice. oh baby.

Hey Frank, valentine's day is coming up and it's a really important day to my gf (anniversary of a personal thing for her). I want to do something special. I've thought about cooking her something yummy, going on a walk in the woods, or snuggling and watching her favorite show. Nothing feels quite right though. Do you have any cute date/hang-out ideas?
I have some really, really bad ideas for Valentines' Days so I am not your best recommendation here. But, since you asked:
This is kind of a ridiculous answer, so please don't feel pressured to do something if I don't do it.
I love you so much. If you want to do something, I wish I knew what.
When I'm not medicated, I have very few good ideas for dates (mostly because I can't remember what I'm doing when I'm not medicated) and none of them are good for "you are very sweet and I love talking to you"
Here are some specific ideas for you (I just started typing this out, so forgive me if this gets repetitive / stuff is too obvious / doesn't make sense):
(1) I like "paleontological" books -- e.g. The Age of Dinosaurs, David Norman's Dinosaurs, and the book I am currently reading about human evolution, "A Natural History of the Human Lineage." Books about dinosaurs, and about human evolution, are both things I am really into. You can do this as a book-reading date, or you can watch a movie set in the time period when dinosaurs roamed the earth, or you can play some sort of simulation that involves doing dinosaur research or whatever. If you go to the Museum of Natural History in NYC you can go there on a date. The Museum of Natural History has a "museum cafe" where you can have coffee and eat lunch (which is a good date idea in itself).
(2) Play some board game(s) or video game(s). If you play board/video games online, it is a good idea to do this with the person you are getting together with, because you can talk about what you're doing on the screen. It is also a good idea to use a dating site of some kind to do it -- "friends with benefits" is fine. I know "friends with benefits" means something very different these days, but you know the phrase, and it makes me think of the good old days when it meant "casually hooking up for sex," which is what it still meant back in 2007.
(3) If you are into sports, you could go to a game. If you have a baseball team (which doesn't mean you have to know anything about baseball) you could go see a game and get popcorn. If you don't know anything about baseball and want to get in the spirit anyway, you could ask your friend to talk to a fan and give you the plot of the game. In addition to that, your friend could also be your "fan witness," sitting in the stands and giving you updates on what's going on in the game, while you sit in a section of the stadium that's reserved for you and your date.
(4) Cook a nice dinner for them. Even if they know something about cooking, if they don't, it's okay to just cook a meal for them and eat it with them.
(5) Make them a cup of tea. It doesn't have to be an overly elaborate tea party with all kinds of fancy tea (although it would be nice if it were). It can just be "a cup of English breakfast tea" or something like that. Also, when making the tea, it would be nice to use different tea bags. Put some of your favorite herbal or fruit teas in there. You could also do this on a book-reading date but I think it makes more sense on a date with someone, since it is hard to read a book (a book that is worth reading) in the midst of a conversation.
(6) There are books about the time period in question and there are TV shows about it. You could watch one or read one (or both). If it's a TV show, it could be in Spanish or German or French. If you watch it together, it's a good idea to switch back and forth between watching and reading what the other person is reading and writing, which will make it hard for either of you to write anything down in the course of the show. If you do this with books, it would also be good for you to read the same book. (I find that a book of poetry is especially useful here -- it can be pretty difficult to get into the flow of a show if you have to concentrate on a poem, and you can still keep a conversation going while you do this.)
(7) Go on a long, long walk. I don't mean, like, go out and do a big day hike, but a long walk. If you live somewhere that has lots of "nature," you could walk for several hours. It doesn't have to be somewhere special, like a national park. You could walk to the nearest "nature preserve," which you can learn about and find by doing the sort of thing I suggested in the section above about going to the Museum of Natural History, or you could walk out to the local creek. There are plenty of places where walking for several hours is a very fun thing to do, even if it isn't really anything special.
(8) If you are into board games, you could play some kind of game together.
(9) You could talk about books you have read/are reading and what you liked and disliked about them.
(10) Go see a movie together. I have heard horror movies tend to be date movies, but you can do whatever you like (but a romantic comedy would be fun, and a horror movie can be fun if you're going with a date who likes horror movies).
(11) You could take a picnic and make a lunch out of the stuff you have in the refrigerator. Some ideas for such a picnic could be: PB&J sandwiches, peanut butter crackers, orange slices, etc.
(12) There are many restaurants that serve food you and your date could enjoy. For instance, if you both like pasta, you can go to a restaurant where they make pasta every which way and can let you try them all.
(13) You could have a "picnic" or "movie night" on a park bench. If you go to a park with a playground and a large playing field, this can be a good location for an outdoor movie night, since you could have your own "scare zone" to go to with the movie and stuff to sit on the ground and watch.
(14) Do something fun but non-cuddly that doesn't require too much effort -- like go to a park and play catch, go for a run, go roller skating, whatever.
(15) Go shopping together. If one of you has a lot of money, you could do this without the other person having to do anything really difficult, but if you just have money in the bank, it makes sense to get some things you both like and go shopping, since it will only be a small hassle for both of you.
(16) You could get some pizza and some cookies and eat them and watch some television and have a movie night.
(17) Play a video game together. You could play any video game. You could play games that you each know a lot about and you could talk about them. Or you could play a game you've never played before together and

I may go on gluten free next month and 2 days a week vegan ( for the environment or just to change things up a bit occasionally.) Not this month though. I decided the diet I'm trying next Monday is this one. I have to use up my current food though before then. So this one will be next Monday starting. This one was featured in Oxygen Magazine a long time ago when I was younger. It was called lose 7 pounds in 21 days. It worked well when I was bigger. I thought I would give it a try again. For this week. I am just going to record what I eat to look at it. I need to keep taking my calcium supplement or add some form of calcium I think.

You can call me Vee
This is pretty much just a brick of text about me, lol.
Age: 15
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've been restricting on and off for around a month.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I like sw33tsp0! M34nsp0 is not helpful for me very often.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My gf (the only person stopping me from restricting) and I are on a break, so I'm gonna restrict as much as I can so I can be pretty when she's ready to come back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have around 900 calories that I do not have the ability to not consume per day. Some from a lunch sent with me to school each day, though over time I've been picking lower and lower cal items to put in it, however I can not pack it myself. I also am required to eat breakfast. I try to keep it as light as I can, but they can reach high numbers in cases I can not choose these either. The rest are from dinners I also have no control over other than not getting seconds. My cal counts that I post will have the calories I burned while in gym class subtracted from the total to balance out the calories I have no control over.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ways I like working out:
Playing drums (up to 1000 cals burned per hour if you're going hard at it!!!)
Playing just dance (I don't actually have just dance, but I do have a phone and youtube. I saw somewhere that it can burn 1000 cals per hour too.)
Biking
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
favourite foods:
Strawberries: really good low cal snack for if you're craving sugar!
Sweet bell peppers: crunchy, and low cal!
Popcorn: if you stay away from the buttered stuff, you can find so many low cal but super tasty options.
Egg whites: Such a good food if you need a meal that feels like a meal but doesn't go overboard with cals!

I've been thinking about this for a while now. I want to start ⭐️ving myself. I love the idea of not eating anything and how good it must feel (I need a detox). I binge eat a lot whenever I feel bad, which is pretty much all the time these days.
My relationship with food isn't very good. I eat a lot of junk and eat out a lot. Whenever I go to the kitchen to pour myself a glass of water, I somehow end up opening the fridge and having a little snack. Again and again and again, it becomes tiering. I feel like a pig! The way I constantly want to eat, I want it to stop! Sure, I love food, but as the saying goes, “nothing tastes as good as skinny feels.”
I am a guy. I'm 183 cm (6 feet) tall and weigh 60 kg (133 lbs). I've been told I'm underweight most of my life. I am constantly told I should eat more, and I did, because it made others feel good and happy while making me feel shit and absolutely miserable.
I want to stop eating because it's cute. Guys love it when you're skinny. They love the idea of saving you. Why not use this to my advantage?
Currently, I have been trying to eat my meals in smaller portions. Sadly, I can't skip dinner because my family eats together. It'd be suspicious if I did. I also haven't been eating breakfast. I've been chewing lots of gum and drinking as much water as possible. If I feel sick, I eat a couple of almonds or some popcorn. I heard they are both low in calories (correct me if I'm wrong) and quite filling.
If you have any tips, feel free to message me. I would love to receive some :)

Day four: a picture of one of your snacks today.
Oh damn. I'm writing this after I have finished my two meals for the day (180cals of popcorn with soy sauce in the morning, and 156cals of boiled eggs with 188cals of chicken), but I didn't take any pictures of it. I'm not the super delicate and well plated meals kinda person, but this is what I had.
I also cooked some chicken breast in preparation for tomorrow. In the morning I will walk for an hour, and then have a protein shake before I go to work. I struggle with waking up early so much everyday, but I need to be consistent.
I've been thinking a lot today about life changes that will help me get to where I want to be. I can't keep waiting for my weight to magically disappear if I don't change how I live. I need to work on my habits and implement good practices in my daily life until I just become a skinny person, because if I just lose the weight... I know I will put it right back on if I ever hit my goal weight. I need to make this sustainable once the weight is off. I need my life to be that of a thin person, I need to think like a thin person, act like a thin person.
A while back I watched a video of a prestigious chef sharing the recipe for their breakfast and it was literally: one pancake with gluten free flour and banana. That's it. No wonder they're so skinny. They found such joy in eating that, it was such a delicate plate, careful steps, and that's it. That's what's for breakfast for a skinny person. They're not on a diet mindset, this is their normal everyday. This is still very far away from my reality, but I need to start shortening this distance between my current self and my skinny self.
I need to stop finding excuses and put in the effort.
I recorded my 30 seconds 360 video today and I'm not brave enough to watch it. Seriously, I feel disgusting. But tomorrow morning, if I have trouble waking up early to go for my walk, I will force myself to watch it until it's enough f4tsp() to get me out of bed. I'm sure it won't fail.

How I lost 20 pounds in my 40's
I get asked a lot how I lost 20+ pounds. I'm still in the process of losing 10 more pounds for a total of 30 pounds (or 13% of my body weight).
I very much like the phrase find out what the cost is, and then pay it. Please understand that my perspective is from a man in their 40's that swims 4 times a week for 45 minutes each time. I burn around 700+ calories per swim. I also do an optional pushup, pullup, situp, and squat routine (without weights) once a week. If you workout less per week, this method will help you either way. You just have to adjust the math to account for your net calorie burn.
The point is that for me, the change was mainly my diet. I'm a very pragmatic person. So for me losing weight is hard yet simple. It's basically another way of budgeting. To lose a pound per week you need to burn 3500 calories per week. I'm 6'2" in height and weigh 210 pounds to date. To maintain my weight I need to eat around 3000 calories per day when I workout, or 2300 calories when I don't workout. That means my net calorie intake per day needs to be negative 500 calories. In other words, my 2500 calories when I workout or 1800 calories when I don't workout.
When you factor in drinking wine and eating with friends on the weekends you have to add another 1000 calories per day (I'm including the alcohol calories). I found it very difficult to eat less than 1800 calories per day, so my solution is to add a fasting day or broccoli monday (see more info below) as an alternative to fasting. The point is to account/burn that extra 1-2k additional calories you consumed on the weekend.
Here is the cost:
I lost around 14 pounds (or 6.1% of my body weight) by meal prepping twice a week. I researched and selected about 10 meals of around 500 calories that I could prep within 45 minutes. I make about around 5 meals during each meal prepping session. i.e. Breakfast burritos, chicken/black rice/broccoli, salmon/black rice/broccoli, and fish tacos.
For breakfast, I prep a half a cup overnight oats or muesli. I warm these up with blueberries in the microwave or have them cold with a half a cup of greek yogurt.
For healthy snacking, I'll have popcorn (i.e. Himalayan Pink Salt Lesser Evil Popcorn), lara bars, nuts (cashews/almonds), or a couple of pieces of healthy bread slices (i.e. Dave's Killer Bread) with almond butter.
I also have a 35 calorie green juice from Clean Juice nearly every morning.
To lose the rest of the weight (the other 16 pounds or 6.9% of the weight) I'm relying on what I call Broccoli Mondays. This is an alternative to a 24 hour fast, due to wanting to workout that day. I eat as much steamed broccoli with lemon as I want until 5pm. This is 12 hours from the time I wake up. At 5pm I'll eat a full 1000 calorie meal (equivalent 2 two of my prepped meals).
Important to note, that the first month of doing the meal prepping I was hungry all the time. This is why healthy snacking is critical. After a month, the continuous hunger went away. I've always loved to eat, so eating less was a struggle at the beginning. My advice is to go all in for a month and watch the results. After a month decide if you want to continue. I'm 99% confident this will work for nearly everyone.
Once I reach a morning weight of 200 pounds. Morning weight is weighing yourself first thing in the morning when you wake up and haven't had anything to eat or drink yet.
Further Context of Why I decided to lose the weight:
I went to a consult with a surgeon concerning my umbilical hernia on July 27, 2022. Surgeon stated my hernia was small at the moment and could wait for probably another 5+ years before it would have to be removed. But, that I was obese at 6'2" and 230 pounds. He was concerned that mesh used to repair the hernia would tear at my current weight. He advised I lose 30 pounds, but that the mesh should hold at a weight of around 215 pounds.
I've never been called obese in my whole life, so this news came as a shock. I've always been somewhat on the thin side. I swim 4-5 times a week and I'm 44 years old as of this post.
After my murderous thoughts, I explained to my doctor that I hadn't been 200 pounds since sophomore year of college. Getting back to 200 pounds seemed improbable. Now I know it's not only possible, but probable.

How to have self control with things like food and stuff❤️
Hi love! Here are some of my tips:
Hope this helps xx

food diary
breakfast: 1 egg, 1 whole wheat bread and a tortilla (200cals)
lunch: not completely sure bc my mom invited me over to eat, but id say around 450cals
dinner?: zucchini noodles, with butter and sour cream, half a banana and half and apple 225cals
cup of popcorn: 94cals
total: 927cals
I wouldve only eaten what I had until lunch, but I smoked some weed and got super hungry, luckily I didn't binge and I'm so proud of that. I think im just going to cut weed out completely so I don't ruin my efforts.
currently hula gooping to burn off the popcorn and extra calories

L*ne St*r Hate Watch 3x15
Disclaimer: Hi, if you love the show, please don't read this, have a great day
We're going to need a healthy dose of Eddie Diaz to get through this:
Tumblr media
I am completely unspoiled so let's go
Some wannabe outdoorsman has stabbed himself in the thigh.
Okay so here's the situation, because I wasn't going to go into much detail but then the show ramped the grossness level up to 11 so now I have to talk about it – he was trying to stab an "alligator lizard" (no idea what that is) to grill up for his dinner (or, as we call it in Australia, his 'bush tucker'), and the lizard went onto his thigh and he stabbed himself with his big knife.
The twist is that the alligator lizard is currently inside his leg.
Yeah.
Also I'm eating popcorn and regretting choosing to eat whilst watching but anyway mistakes have been made and we just need to continue on
Tommy is using the patented "poke it with your finger" technique for extraction
Owen is still in therapy for his rage
The therapist is going to use "EMDR" on him and I actually know what this is, because my friend is a psychologist, and one time she went on this big rambling thing about how this works and my brain fuzzed out
I love her but it was a lot
Owen has seen a "clown nose" as part of his EMDR therapy and there was a kind of a flashback to a picture of a clown
So this is going to be a whole thing isn't it
Owen has "clown trauma"
We are actually having a second emergency this early in the episode and it's a fire??? Crazy
Okay so there's a dude trapped in the gym in this burning building, and the 911 operator in charge is not Grace – it's the guy from that episode ages ago who Grace absolutely  hated. Remember the guy who stole her lunch? That guy.
Anyway so the dude trapped in the fire is not doing well and can't find an exit, things are looking very bleak
The fire is now in the room with the dude and he is saying his goodbyes
When I say bleak I mean bleak
Dude just said "Thanks for trying" and the phone cut out, so… bleak.
Grace is now trying to empathise with the other 911 operator (his name is Dave, I need to remember that) and she's even invited him over to dinner okay interesting
Oh now we're checking in with the world's most healthy couple, and TK has brought home the alligator lizard??? What a moron
Carlos is pissed
Judd and Grace are such wonderful people and they're trying their best to make Dave feel better
Owen is trying to disprove that he has "clown trauma"
(he definitely has a problem with clowns)
Dave has spent the night at Grace and Judd's house uh oh
He is planning to sleep on their couch for a week and JUDD HAS INVITED HIM TO STAY (some kind of a plumbing issue)
Oh god Grace is going to murder them both
He used all the hot water, she's going to kill him
Also it's very obvious that American writers have written this British character (Dave's British) as he has just offered Grace "bangers and mash" for breakfast.
Tumblr media
(for the Americans - bangers and mash is sausages and potatoes, it's a meal you would eat for dinner, not breakfast)
Omg I think we're getting another emergency? And guess what you guys – this time it features a clown!
The clown has fallen through a wooden playhouse and Owen is glitching out
A little kid has just called Owen out for being scared to his face, burnnn
Owen is having a full on panic attack
Also this is the first scene Rob Lowe has had with other members of the cast all episode, and in saying that, he is standing well in the background
Marjan and Paul have had approx one line each, Mateo… maybe one or two?
This show does a really bad job of featuring all the cast
Back to the world's healthiest relationship and Carlos still looks so pissed off? Oh shit the alligator lizard has escaped
Well who the fuck didn't see that coming
Because why? TK is a fucking moron
So my question is why the fuck wouldn't they just get like an iguana or some kind of other bearded dragon or something
The lizard is on the lam and Carlos is very, very pissed off
Grace has gone to Tommy's house to get drunk and escape Dave, it's a solid plan
So now their baby has taken her first steps without Judd and Grace there (Dave was babysitting) and Grace is really, really fucking annoyed
Also this baby is how the fuck old and already taking her first steps?
How old are babies supposed to be when they walk anyway - I just googled it and the answer is "between 8 and 18 months old". This show is crazy, that baby isn't even six months old the fuck
Oh great we're back to Owen in therapy
This episode has been super fucking boring ngl
The root of Owen's clown trauma is his father booorrrring
Okay so the dad walked out on the family when Owen was 12, so ten bucks says we're getting a reconciliation by the end of the season
Grace is about to break up with Dave
But also I think Dave is going to break up with Grace first??
He is accusing them of being SMOTHERING this is the FUNNIEST THING EVER
She may actually murder him.
Dave does not want to be around people and honestly? Mood.
He only stayed because he thought they needed it HILARIOUS
Checking in with the happiest couple in the world and Carlos is still pissed off!
Ugh I thought maybe they'd end this on an argument but nope
"I love you and I love how big your heart is" UGH give me a BREAK
He's so pissed off all episode and now it's just like "I love you for rescuing the the lizard" get real
This show remains stupid.
Okay so... yes, there were emergencies in this episode, but the rest of it was really boring.
Interestingly, though, I think Grace and Judd might have the A-plot over Owen this week? If I had to guess I'd say:
A-plot: Grace and Judd (and Dave)
B-plot: Owen & his therapist
C-plot: TK and his lizard
Everyone else (except Gina Torres) had maybe one or two lines each, if that.
And look if this show was just entirely about Grace and Judd living their best lives I'd be totally fine with that - at least their plot was funny.
It's just interesting how Rob Lowe really wasn't in any scenes with anyone else from the cast - except for one scene with Tommy, at the clown emergency, where he stood off to the side. It's crazy how separate he exists from everyone else in the show? Idgi.
Anyway, three episodes to go!
Eddie Diaz to close this thing out:

Nightmares ft. Azumane Asahi
fluff, asahi x gn!reader
A/n: this is an older post btw
-1468 words-
This story includes: Cursing, slight OOC
masterlist
You shot up from your bed, sweat encasing your body. You looked over to your boyfriend who was sleeping next to you.
He groaned, rubbing his eyes to see what was happening. He looked up at your fragile figure.
Asahi sat up and put an arm around you. “What's wrong?"
"I just had a nightmare, that's all."
He kissed your forehead before laying back down on his side with his arms open. "Come here," he ordered, his voice a mix of soft and stern.
You laid down next to him, hiding your face in his clothed chest. He pet your head lovingly.
"Do you want to tell me about it, pumpkin?"
You shook your head. "It's nothing, really."
Asahi lifted your chin up gently. "No, it isn't. I'm right here, you can tell me anything."
"I don't want to, sorry honey."
"That's okay! Do you want me to tell you a bedtime story to help you go back to sleep?" You nodded. "Mmmm, okay baby. Now, I want you to just relax, okay? Can you do that for me? Yes? Good job. So, sorry if it doesn't fit your standards, I'm just making this off the top of my hea-"
You put an hand on his arm, stroking it. "Don't worry about that, any story that you make fit my standards." He blushed at your comment, grateful that there was no light in the room.
"You're too sweet, pumpkin. Now shhhh, I'm  starting it.
Once upon a time, there was a princess who loved to eat popcorn. She had twenty microwaves in her room, all designated for popcorn. For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, all she ate was popcorn.
Obviously, eating only one thing all the time is not going to be healthy. The princess knew this, but she didn't care. Her family always warned her that if she continued the bad habit, she would turn into a piece of popcorn as well, which she always replied with, 'if that happens, I'll just eat myself!'
It was a well-know fact that if you eat too much of one thing you'll turn into it, but the princess thought it was a myth. Her explanation? 'Well, I've never seen it happen, so it must not be true!'
After 18 years of only ever eating popcorn, the princess woke up one day as a piece of popcorn. She tried to scream, but she didn't have a mouth! She looked around, trying to find someone who could see her. No one was in her room. She rolled off of the bed, rolling her way down the stairs. Oh, also, she is a human-sized popcorn.
Once her father saw her, he screeched, running up to her. 'is this what my little princess has turned into?', he questioned, putting his hands on her sides so she wouldn't roll away. Once he realized she couldn't talk because she didn't have a mouth, he started crying very loudly. 'Someone, please, come help my daughter!'
A few seconds later, a pink fairy poofed into the air. They both looked at her, waiting for her to do something.
'Oh, do I have to speak now? I think I do. Anyways, I'm the popcorn fairy, who takes care of people who have turned into popcorn.' The fairy said. 'I can turn your daughter back into a human!'
Her father jumped for joy. 'On one condition,' the fairy's voice turned very serious. 'Your daughter can never eat popcorn again.'
The princess was shocked. She didn't want to have to give up popcorn! But, she also didn't want to be a popcorn anymore.
The father looked at his daughter. 'Princess, roll around if you want her to fix you. Don't move if you want to stay a popcorn.'
A couple seconds passed before she started rolling around. A bit of popcorn fell off of her, falling into a crack. A mouse came and took it, going back to it's cave.
The fairy nodded. 'Okay, now everyone look away. Princess, close your eyes,' The fairy waved her magic wand a couple of times before poof! the princess was human again.
She ran to the mirror, checking if this was real. She looked the same, the only difference being that she was missing her left ear.
She screamed, looking at her father and the fairy. 'What happened to my ear?!?' She pointed to the side of her face that was earless.
'Oh, yeah, sometimes that happens,' the fairy answered, shrugging. 'When bits of the popcorn roll away, when I turn you back to human, you're going to have parts that aren't there anymore.'
'My daughter doesn't have an ear! Why are you treating this so casually?'
'Sir, I can't do anything about it. Maybe next time you should teach your daughter not to eat the same foods all the time,' and with that, she poofed away.
Did you like that story, pumpkin? Sorry it was a bit sad." He rubbed your back soothingly.
You made a grunt, meaning that you did.
"Mmm, that's good. Do you think you can go to bed nicely now?"
"What time is it?" You said quietly.
Azumane checked the clock. "Mmm, 4:20. Why?"
"Can you-um," You stuttered.
"You want me to-"
"Yea,"
"Of course. Do you want this one to be more happy?" You nodded, putting one of your legs over his.
"Mmm." He wrapped the blanket tighter around the two of you. "This one will be shorter, if that's okay with you,"
"Yes, it's fine Azumane. As long as I get to hear your lovely voice,"
He chuckled. "I love you so much Y/n, you know that right?"
"I love you more!" You said, giggling.
"Hmmm, I don't think that that's possible. Okay, I'm going to start it now.
Mr. and Mrs. Beaver had always lived a happy life together, and today was no exception. They were currently sitting at the park, having a picnic together.
Mrs. Beaver was snacking on some sunchips, while Mr. beaver was munching on leaves. They were both very excited to talk to each other again, as they hadn't had seen each other in a while.
They had both been at work, working very hard so they could have little beaver babies. Mrs.-"
You looked up at him. "Wait, are they going to have sex in this story?"
"What? No! They're not going to do that. Anyways, back to what I was saying,
Mrs. Beaver worked at an elementary school, while Mr. Beaver owned a pastry shop. Everyone knew them as 'the berry in love beavers'. Sorry that's kind of cringy, it was the first thing that came in my head.
'Fred, guess what happened the other day, oh it's so funny!' Mrs. Beaver said, barely containing her laughter. 'So, one of my students came up to me before school ended and said, "Mrs. Beaver? Why are you getting ready to leave if you live here?" The little cutie thought that I lived there!'
They both laughed. 'Hilda, you know how some little kids can be! So silly!' She giggled. 'I should cook them in my pastries.'
"Asahi, why. It was such a nice story but you had to ruin it."
He became flustered. "Sorry, Y/n. But I did tell you that I was making these off the top of my head,"
You laughed. "Why is putting kids in food on the top of your head?!?"
"It's because you're acting like a child right now."
You gasped, holding back a laugh. "You want to cook me?"
"No, I just want to eat you! Nom nom nom" He tickled you, making you laugh.
"A-a-a-a-asahi! I'm not going to be able to sleep if you keep on tickling me like this,"
"Then stop interrupting me! Shhhh, pumpkin. AnYwAyS,
Mrs. Beaver looked at him in shock before laughing. 'Oh Fred, you really crack me up!'
Fred laughed with her. 'You should've seen the look on your face!'
They continued their picnic before going back to their den. Once they got back to their home, the couple laid down in their bed and fell asleep.
The end."
You whined. "Azumaneeeeeeee! That was so short! Can I have another one?"
"Y/n, baby, no-"
"Please! Please! Please, daddy?" You smirked.
"D-d-don't call me that!" He tilted your chin up so he could look at you. "You are going to bed right now."
"Wait, no-"
He laid on top of you, trapping you in his arms. "You are going to sleep right now, okay? Enough fun."
"Hmph." You closed your eyes.
Asahi put his head on your shoulder. "Good night, my love."
"Good night, daddy."
"BITCH I SWEAR IF YOU CALL ME THAT ONE MORE FUCKING TI-"
