My mom just sent a message to the family group chat suggesting that my siblings download the 'For the Strength of Youth' magazine on their Gospel Library app and talked about how much the youth magazines helped her testimony growing up and like, cool. Fine. Don't know why the 'sending random spiritual thoughts in the gc' thing started out of nowhere when it hadn't been a thing for a decade but this is just another one of those, and you're ofc allowed to talk about things that are significant in your life.

I don't think sending the 'What I Did When Someone Close to Me Challenged My Faith' article right afterwards was strictly necessary though 🙃

"so," jay pushed up his rimless glasses with his slender fingers as he sighed, looking at you, "how do you convert ethyne to benzene?"

it was tough really, both the subject and the situation.

only a week ago you convinced, park jay— the chemistry topper in your class, to tutor you for the upcoming final exams. there was no doubt you weren't even going to get the passing marks at the subject, which was obviously, a shame. but you had to do something! the finals were in a week or so!

but your heart was against convincing jay park to tutor you. it was against the fact that your heartbeat would accelerate everytime he was in the frame, the fact that your pupils would dilate at the sight of him simply adjusting his glasses or his cute face whenever he was solving problems, the fact that you'd find yourself in awe whenever you were lost in his heavenly face.

the fact that dopamine secrets in your body whenever its him.

almost whatever he did, you loved it.

"hey, are you even listening to me?", jay's 'strict tutor' voice snapped you out of your trance.

"h-huh? y-yes!", struggling to actually pay attention to the opened chemistry book in front of you, you lift your head up to meet the firm eyes of jays.

but as soon as you took a glimpse of his blond hair caressing his soft brows with his glasses and rolled arm sleeves to the addition of his beauty, boy oh boy, you were swept away.

"uh huh?", he smirked leaning over the study table, closer to you, "then what's the answer, hmm?"

"it's...", you trailed off, making a fake thinking face to show some level of understanding in the subject to jay, when in reality you had no idea of the tedious chemical reactions, ".... it's uhm-"

"come on sweetheart," sweetheart, "I've taught you this three times already", jay closed the notebook in front of him and sighed, clasping his hands together.

"to be honest jay....", you heavily sigh back, whining as you dug your fingernails in your scalp, mentally cursing chemistry and cursing you lovestruck weak heart, for not being able to concentrate.

"i-i really don't know the answer. i've never been good at chemistry!"

"alright, but is that the excuse you give to the teacher when you fail this semester?"

"no, but-" you roll your eyes, wondering when this was gonna end, but jay cut you off,

"y/n, im gonna ask you the simplest question ever. if you don't get it right, i wont teach you anymore."

this single sentence of jay had you sweating cold, with your heart suffer a crack. Shit. You knew you had to leap for the sun for this one, by hook or by crook.

'cause obviously, you didn't wanna miss your favourite face for a week.

"solve this numerical for me ok?", jay slided a blank workspace with a question on top for you to solve.

you gulped at the question, it was easy but tricky.

few loose strands fondled your cheeks while you worked at the problem, praying to every god that you'd get it right for the sake of jay sticking around.

you groaned, scribbling the whole equation for the second time after you thought it would be right. and if the pressure of the awful subject chemistry wasn't enough, you felt the warm touch of jay's hands, ever so lightly tucking the loose strands behind you ear.

but thank god you had your head down, for your cheeks went crimson.

"i love your hair," jay chuckled, his fingertips still lingering on your cheeks, "come on! you know the answer, hun." hun.

you gulped even harder, and handed him the answer sheet back, manifesting it would be correct. but you were on the verge of keeping cool. jay park smiled at for the second time! and tucked your hair?! oh my—

"hey! i told ya, it's correct!" jay beamed, handing you the paper back.

"finally!", and so you couldn't keep your joy, squealing and giggling. because you got the answer right was a factor, but being able to spend more time with jay made up 99% of it.

but all this time jay admired you as much. so much, that he ignored the tiny mistake done in the numerical he gave, after all he too wanted to be closer the prettiest girl in the world. he rejected tutoring to so many other students in his class, just for his pretty girl. (>.<)

then all of a sudden it came to a halt when you felt a feathery, tinglish sensation on your cheeks, tinting it crimson again.

it was almost unbelievable that jay kissed you, but then he smiled ever so sweetly at you, meanwhile you were losing your mind over this, jaws hung low, eyes widened and cheeks rapidly getting coloured.

"if you manage to get good grades this semester," jay sang, leaning dangerously close to your ears and stealing your breath away as he whispered,

"then i'll kiss you on your lips, pretty girl."

୨୧ 𓂂 ˳ you’re apart of (g)-idle, both enhypen and your group had a comeback around the same time so it was bound to happen that your groups would do a dual interview together on music bank. to say heeseung knew about you was an understatement… you were his ultimate idol crush and you knew about him because you found him attractive and liked his groups music, that was it he wasn’t even on your mind like you were on his.heeseung being the fanboy of you that he is couldn’t keep his eyes off of you as you and chaemin did your introductions. he was so into you it was obvious to anyone with a pair of two eyes. he was so hypnotized by you that it seemed that he forgot the group that you were apart of the type of members you have.

“ah, yes.” yuqi starts she stood in the middle right beside heeseung who’s gaze was still on you, “I’m happy to once again spend an amazing comeback with my beautiful members, don’t you agree heeseung since you’re so captivated by my beautiful member who’s our mc.” yuqi turns to the boy smiling teasingly as everyone laughs and ohs at her comment towards heeseung who shakes his head in shock at the girl’s confidence to say such a thing. “oh! so you don’t find her beautiful?” yuqi says loudly at the boys head shakes the laughs becoming louder, heeseung opens his mouth to protest but is cut off by your voice, “you don’t find me beautiful?” you join in on the teasing, oh how he wanted to die. but hey, this embarrassing situation of his is how he ended up bumping into you in the hallways and gaining to courage to ask for your number and to clarify that he finds you very beautiful.

୨୧ 𓂂 ˳ you’re apart of lesserafim, you and jay hated each other. he didn’t know when it started but he’s pretty sure it was when both of you were trainees, you and him were always at each others necks and that hatred has been going strong from trainee days to the present with both you and him being members of super successful groups of your generation. it was definitely a shock to jay when chaemin asked him to fill in for him for music bank, he agreed of course but was still very shocked. what shocked him even more is instead of seeing eunchae wearing a matching outfit with him he saw you. isn’t it just such a coincidence that both music bank hosts wouldn’t be able to do the show? turns out eunchae was “sick” before you and him could go at each other it was already time to host and to say there was tension between the two of you was an understatement. every group and soloist that the both of you interviewed could feel it as well and your scripts made everything so much more entertaining.

“do I look handsome?” jay asked, reading off of his script he cringed slightly before showing off his outfit to you who covered your face with your cue card. “uh..” you responded as looked at your cue card that told you to agree and say that he does look handsome but instead you burst out in laughter. jay tried his hardest to stay in character but your laugh made it so hard, “are you ok-” he couldn’t get through his sentence before he’s cutting himself off with his own laughter, it’s funny that this situation is what broke the tension and got the two of you to be comfortable with each other the rest of the show.

୨୧ 𓂂 ˳ you’re a famous actress, that was known for your role on the glory as young yeonjin. you were definitely a beauty but you played your role so well that it had some people either hate you or utterly terrified of you. jake was one of the people that were utterly terrified of you, in his mind there was no way you were that good of actor to play that role so well. so when jake found out that you were one of the new music bank hosts, he had to mentally prepare himself to face you, the boys told him that he was being ridicules but jake was sure that you were a demon spawn so with that being said jake was shook when he had to stand so close to said demon spawn. seeing you up close was even worse especially since you were so pretty, it’s always the pretty ones is all jake could say to himself. the whole interview he wasn’t buying this bubbly personality that you had going on there was you had to be just putting this on for the cameras, that was until you bumped into him in the halls.

“oh my gosh!” you exclaim at him, smiling brightly as jake looks at you confused, “I was looking for you.” you say walking closer to him. “looking for me?” he asks, “yeah, I love your group and you’re my bias, I was wondering if you could sign my photo card?” jake looks at you in shock for a while, are you really this bubbly and not a demon spawn?, “uh yeah sure.” he hesitantly smiles taking the pink pen and the photo card of him from your hand and signs the back, you smile brightly at him as he gives it back to you, “thank you so much!” you say before heading towards the other direction. jake stares at your retreating figure his mind going a thousand miles, a a pretty bubbly and obviously talented actress who’s obviously into him and he’s gonna let this pass up because he thought you were a demon spawn? no way before he can even process it jake is calling you name and speeding to catch up with you.

୨୧ 𓂂 ˳ you’re apart of aespa, both you and Sunghoon were known for your icy visuals and you guys were probably the most shipped idols at the moment. everyone thought that you guys would go so well together, little did they know that their ship were already dating. sunghoon was your down bad boyfriend that was your biggest supporter and he always made sure to support you with music bank and he was excited that he would finally get to see the best host that he’s ever seen interview him and his group (he only calls you the best host because you’re his girlfriend.) what he didn’t expect was for chaemin and yours script to be so flirty even when you’re interviewing groups. all he could do when you and chaemin were interviewing him and his group was think who the heck wrote the script and when he can have a talk with them.

sunghoon sulked as he laid on the couch in your dressing room, he watched has you packed up your bag before letting out an annoyed sigh, “what is your problem?” you ask turning towards him but all he responds with is another exaggerated sigh. “what happened to you?” you laugh as you walk over to the boy standing in between his legs as he buries his head on your stomach, “since when did your scripts get so flirty?” he asks but his voice is muffled, “what?” you ask, cupping his face and tilting it up to face you, “since when did your scripts get so flirty?” he repeats playfulness glaring up at you. “they’re not flirty.” you laugh, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead, “yes they are, they were never like this when I was a mc.” he whines glaring off to the side. all you could do is laugh at his dramatics, “I only have eyes for you.” you say pressing another kiss to his forehead, “you better.” he says, “I also need to get in contact with your script writer.”

can you please talk about your partners in crime au?? Ok that it's kinda self-explanatory but I saw your art for it and am honestly pretty curious :)

YESSS thank you! in case you haven't seen my first post about au, click here. its my rough au explaination and timeline of how this au will go. But to put it in short this is an au where alex successfully convinced jay to help him stopped the "illness". here's the mini doodles that happened in this au

- if you remember the entry where alex lured brian to kill him. in this au alex thought he had successfully killed brian and asked jay to bury his corpse. But before jay could do anything he saw that brian was still alive. And because he started to doubt the illness idea alex told him and he DIDN'T want to kill people at all, he let brian go and lied to alex about burying his corpse (brian is mad at both alex and jay nevertheless. and he start to form his own plan from there, including alert tim)

- alex always tried to remind (gaslight) jay that they did the right things and the people they kill cannot be saved and jay is like, conflict within himself? because he knew the operator existed but he thought that alex'a way of purging illness is too much but he also had no idea what else will help them at this point plus he started to get scared of alex after seeing his personality changed

- in the original series you will see jay trying to get to the bottom of everything but in this au tim will have this role instead (jay just laying low all the time in this au and probably will have depression at some point)

“Jay, what are you doing? That’s expensive for such a silly thing.”

“Don’t worry y/n, we’re rich!” He jokingly responds (he would say this)

“Schlatt, are you seriously going to buy it? What are you going to do with it?”

“I’ll take him everywhere with me! I’ll tuck him into bed and kiss him goodnight.” He excitedly explains.

You can’t help but smile as you let out a small sigh.

“If you really want it, go for it.”

▷ He definitely makes sure you stop at the cafeteria for some lunch or just to taste test some snacks.

▷ Such a gentleman. He holds all the doors open for you, holds your bags, offers to pay (even though you politely refuse)

▷ He’s Low-key quite fashionable. He’d be helping you pick out trendy clothes and even help you put together cute outfits

▷ Always suggesting things for you to try on. He loves to see you happy and confident in the new clothes.

▷ Enjoys trying things on himself as well. He’d definitely throw in a crazy outfit just to get your reaction.

▷ Definitely takes this opportunity to use the Photo Booth or at least get some cute and funny pictures with the two of you

▷ I can honestly see him being the type who enjoys people watching.

▷ You sit in the cafeteria together sharing some food as you watch people walk past, making up little stories about their lives.

“Ok ok, what about him?” Ted questions, motioning towards the passerby.

“Uh, I think he is currently in a big fight with his partner. He’s definitely trying to find them a gift or something… I’m not very good at the game. You go. ” You reply.

“I thought it was a great story. Hmm ok that dude right there. He’s actually undercover right now. He’s an fbi agent called… 770. There is a huge heist going on right now in the store below us.” He seriously remarks.

“Why are you so good at this game.” You playfully sigh.

“Don’t worry, you’ll get it eventually.” He chuckles, placing a kiss in the back of your hand.

“Where out there Romeo?”

“Wrong lines Y/n!”. Eunchae giggled while you glared at her.

“Sorry Mrs. Kim”. As you and Eunchae went over your part again Mrs. Kim smiled and ushered you to your seats.

“Oh we’re so gonna fail..”

“Eunchae!”. You nudged the girl as she giggled again.

You and your bestfriend Eunchae had been tasked with recreating ten minutes of Romeo and Juliette for your theater class.

“I mean I guess this is what we get being theater kids..”. Eunchae nodded as she pulled out her pocky and you put your hand out waiting for one.

Instead of giving you one Eunchae put one end of the treat in her mouth and wiggled her eyebrows. Annoyed you rolled your eyes bitting the other end as Eunchae blushed.

Eunchae loved to tease you but for some reason would get all shy when you did it back. Little did you know it was because of the little crush your long time friend had on you.

“IM A GENIUS!”. It was now lunchtime, while you and Eunchae were best friends you usually jumped from table to table during lunch. So now she was currently zoned out staring at you at the other part of the cafe.

“HONG EUNCHAE!”

“WHAT KYUJIN?!”

“I GOT IT”. Eunchae sighed as Kyujin started to write on a paper and then showed it to her lovestruck friend.

“Just go the the kids scene! You said she doesn’t know the play like that so then you can just sneakily kiss her!”

“That seems.. a little-“

“Do you want to find out if she liked you or not?”. Eunchae nodded and listened in as Kyujin went into her plan.

STEP 1 : Be Nice

As said before Eunchae loves to tease you. But to get you to let her choose the scene she had to be nice to you.

“What’s this?”

“You favorite milk”. Eunchae said as she smiled and sat next to you in bio. It was three days later and Kyujin’s plan would now be put into effect.

“Thanks I guess?”. Eunchae laughed and started to get to work as drank your milk.

STEP 2 : Pester

By pestering you about the play Eunchae woulf be able to persuade you to just let her pick since the play was old and probably boring.

“Hay Y/nnnnie”

“Hi Eunnnnnchae”. You mocked the taller girl as she stuck out her tongue at you.

“You know how we’re picking our scenes today..”. You nodded continuing to walk to your next class.

“I was wondering if I could choose the scene.. I skimmed what miss Kim sent us and I found one that looks pretty easy to do..”

“Ok sure see you in the theater”. You said bowing to Eunchae as you walked into your next class.

STEP 3 : The Big Finally

Like the schemer she is Kyujin new that most of the kids in the class wouldn’t want the kiss scene. So all Eunchae had to do was pick last and she would and did end up with the scene.

“Oh shit..”

“What?”. Eunchae said looking over your shoulder to see you were looking at the kissing scene.

“We practiced everything but-“

“Ok group three come up!”. You and Eunchae looked at eachothers shocked it was already your turn. As you got on stage and started to act; the two of you got closer and closer during the kiss scene.

While Eunchae was happy she also noticed the fact a bunch of other peoples eyes were on her. So instead of going for a really meaningful kiss she basically gave you a six second peck.

The students hollered as you stood stunned. You weren’t supposed to like that.. right?

“Is Y/n ok?”. Miss Kim asked as stood as still as a statue.

“Um.. I think she just needs some water.. I can take her!”. Miss Kim nodded as Eunchae took you to the water fountain outside of the auditorium.

“You o-“. Eunchae was surprised as she felt you kiss her.

“K?”. Eunchae stood in a daze as you bit your lip waiting for her to say something.

“You know I don’t really like playing this love game”

“HONG EUNCHAE!”

maggot newt pulsifer: the draw battle recap

The maggots asked and the maggots shall receive. Helloo it's the Good Omens Mascot and the uh Maggot Prince (...) anyway it's Asmi and as many of you now know, we have a Discord server. It is called The Official Maggots Server of Doom.

So far, it has lived up to its name, with discussions of whether human flesh is healthy food if locally sourced and consensual, tears about good omens, gartic phone horrors and the infamous Draw Battle Team of Valerie and Coel. If you don't have Discord or weren't there, never fear! That last Incident is the one I am here to recount to you. We all know I love summaries.

DRAMATIS PERSONAE:

Kelly Severide- Stuck

Most people would think that our parents would be proud. Having one child as a doctor, one a police officer and one a firefighter, but no. Our mom died while I was young. Our dad, well we didn't have the best relationship and then he passed away. My brothers Will and Jay are my rocks and I love them so much, so telling them I am dating Lieutenant Kelly Severide was very nerve racking, especially because Kelly and Jay are such good friends. However when I did tell them they just had the usual 'you hurt her and I'll hurt you' kinda talk.

We’ve just had a call about a house fire, possibly arson so Jay and some of the other at intelligence will be there.

When we arrive I see my Jay and Erin waiting for us

“What have we got?” I ask walking over to them

“We think at least 2 people are inside. Just need your guys to do their thing so we can go inside to look” I nod my head at Erin

“Ok” I turn around

“Hey YN” Jay calls my name

“Hmm?”

“Be careful, we don’t know if the arsonist is inside. Could be armed”

“Well if you hear me scream then you know we have a problem” I say

“Don’t even joke about that” Jay scolds. I give him a quick hug and run back over to truck

“Halstead your with me” Matt says putting his helmet on. I nod getting mine. Kelly then takes my hand in his and gives it a little squeeze. Some thing we do when one of us is going on a job and we still need to be professional. I followed Matt and we both walk into the burning building

“Fire department call out!” I shout scouting the room. I follow behind Matt up the stairs. We open one of the doors to check in

“Fire department call out!” Matt shouts. I then notice a woman on the floor

“Casey” I say walking over to her. I feel for a pulse. It’s faint but it’s there. I take off my oxygen mask

“What the hell are you doing!”

“She will die if…”

“YN, Matt you need to get out, buildings unstable”

“We can’t leave her” I cough feeling the smoke starting to get to me

“Ok” Matt starts to drag the woman out while I hold her feet. Suddenly the floor under me collapses

“Halstead! You good?” Matt shouts

“I think so”

“Damn it” my alarm starts going off “Boden Halsteads gone down, permission for squad”

“Permission granted” that’s when my arm feels stuck

“Casey?” I call

“Yeah?”

“I think my arms stuck under the wood” I cough out

“Ok hang in there. Squad are coming in now”

Within a few minutes Kelly is hanging over the hole in the ground. I can’t stop coughing as I keep inhaling the smoke

“How you doing down there”

“Struggling to breathe” I chock out “arm hurts”

“Ok let’s get you out of here. Can you grab my hand?” I reach up but can’t get to Kelly “ok I’m coming down. Cruz get the rope and a spare mask” it’s getting even harder to breathe “just stay with me ok?” I give a little nod. Kelly drops down with a mask and places it around my face

“This is probably going to hurt like hell, but I need you to pull your arm out when I say”

“Ok” I breath out. Kelly lifts up the wood trapping my arm. The pain is excruciating as I pull my arm out and that’s when it all goes dark.

I wake up the the sound of beeping machines. Great I’m in the hospital. Slowly I open my eyes. My arm feels heavily. I look down and see it in a cast. Kelly immediately stands up gaining my attention

“The woman?” I croak. Kelly chuckles as he helps me take a sip of water

“Always putting people above yourself. She’s fine. Just smoke inhalation” I give Kelly a nod “your brothers are here. Want me to send them in?”

“Yeah” in walks Jay and Will

“How you feeling?” Jay asks walking over to me looking worried

“Like I’ve got some sort of throat infection”

“You’ll have a bad throat for a day or two” Will tells me

“I know the drill. Remember this isn’t the first time I’ve inhaled smoke”

“That’s not a sentence any of us want to hear” Will says sitting at the end of bed

“When can I go home?”

“Well since you have such a loving caring brother who’s also a doctor..” I give Will a kick with my foot “ok ok. Tomorrow, just have to watch you overnight. Now I need to get back to work. I’ll see you later” Will kisses my forehead before leaving me

“You both need to go back to work as well” I tell Jay and Kelly

“You going to be ok on your own?”

“Kel I’ll be fine. Seriously it’s just a broken arm and sore throat and anyway I’m sure April and Maggie will pop in to see me. Go”

“Ok. Love you”

“Love you too” Kelly bends down and kisses my lips

“Alright move away before I throw up” Jay pulls Kelly back making us chuckle “see you later” he also kisses my forehead. Jay then pushes Kelly out the door

“Love you!” I shout to my brother and Kelly trying not to laugh. I’m so lucky they all get on, I don’t know what I would do if they didn’t.
