Allah has created man and given him reason, and He has sent down to him Revelation and sent to him Messengers to call him to the truth and warn him against falsehood. Then He has left him to make his own choice. “And say: ‘The truth is from your Lord.’ Then whosoever wills, let him believe; and whosoever wills, let him disbelieve.” [al-Kahf 18:29 – interpretation of the meaning] Allah commanded His Messenger Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to convey the truth to all of mankind. Then they have the choice to do as they wish. If a person obeys, he benefits himself, and if he disobeys, he harms himself, as Allah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Say: ‘O you mankind! Now truth (i.e. the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad), has come to you from your Lord. Dear Allah,

Words cannot describe of how much I love You.

I love how You can read my heart and know what is hidden in it from the world.

I love how You make me fall and catch me before I crash. I love talking to You.

I love how I smile when I think about You.

I love the tears that flow down for You when I think of You as my God.

I love performing my prayer and how I sometimes not want to get up from sujood.

I love the way You make me feel complete when I feel lonely and suddenly I realize that I have You.

I love how I need You.

I love how I beg You for help.

I love the tiny little things in this deen that make me feel part of this incredibly huge religion.

I love doing things for Your sake.

I love how You give me strength.

I love how You give me patience.

I Love how You help me.

I love how You teach me.

I love how You give me.

I love the fact that You have given me this ability to love.

I love how You love me unconditionally.

I don’t deserve to be loved, but still do You love me. And that’s what I love the most.

Where are you headed?

To your rabb, most definitely! But are you prepared? Do you act like you are going to meet Him? Assess yourself. Which path have you taken? Will your journey lead you to become someone Allah loves?

I find this ayah immensely sad. Because it summarises what we have become, we choose everyone and everything over Allah. And I don’t know what can be more sad. It’s like Allah created all of this for us, these skies, the sun, these mountains, these stars, our very own body, food and what not. And yet we ignore His deen, His religion. And above all we fail to be his servants.It’s like Allah loves us so much, and yet we hurt ourselves by not loving Him back. He sent us a loving prophet , a perfect book only to guide us towards His jannah. And yet we chose Jahanum. Why?

And those who, when they commit a lewd act or wrong themselves with evil, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins and who forgives sins except Allah? And they do not persist in what (wrong) they were doing while they knew it. For such, the reward is forgiveness from their Lord and Gardens with rivers flowing through, wherein they shall abide forever. The heart hurts, when it partakes in joy. The joy of Eid, does not quieten my sorrow, my anger, my helplessness.

How will it feel right, when the ummah suffers so? How does one dress well knowing Kashmir has been caged with impenetrable bars.

How does one laugh when the children of Syria live not knowing they will be alive tomorrow.

How does one eat, knowing millions are starving in Yemen, their hunger a slow painful death.

How does one celebrate, knowing Palestine is not free, knowing a whole people driven out of their homes with armed merciless animals.

How does one feel, knowing hundreds of Uyghur muslims are leaving Islam on torture; separated, suffering.

How does one let go of the fact that, the world has turned their back on Afghanistan. Iraq. Somalia. Sudan. Rohingya. The list is endless.

The Ummah bleeds while we watch, the Muslims cry while we listen, the people die and we close our eyes.
