sometimes I think about how azriel and eris say “I love you”. And I know, they’re more of a lets-fuck-to-emote couple, but in their quiet moments, how do assure each other that the love they share is real with its own heartbeat? Especially verbally. Then I think about how poetic mr “If I offer you the moon on a string, will you give me a kiss, too?” vanserra is and wonder, is that a lucien thing or a vanserra thing.

because then I think, eris does not say love- no, love is something used to hurt him, hurt his brothers (jesminda), his mother. he’s a courtier, a silver tongued fox with clipped claws which scratch but do not scar. thus eris turns to the metaphor, the euphemism for a heart robbed, the flooding blood and aching to fill its empty space.

Thinking about the fact that Ballister had to deal with the fact his arm got cut off and couldn't go to hospital. Thinking about how he probably didn't have anything to properly bandage it with. Thinking about how him struggling to get his armour off because he'd never had to do it with one arm before. Thinking about the fact he probably didn't have painkillers. Thinking about how him collapsing on the sofa. Thinking about him waking up and forgetting Ambrosius isn't there. Thinking about Bal waking up slightly and being confused as to why he's in pain. Thinking about him sitting up and realising his arm is just gone. Thinking about the look on his face as the memories come flooding back. Thinking about him crying because what the fuck is he supposed to do now? He has a wound he needs to take care of that he can't get medical supplies for, he is hated by the kingdom he dedicated his life to learning how to protect, and the love of his life thinks he's a murderer. Thinking about him trying to convince himself it's fine. Thinking about him throwing himself into making a new arm. Thinking about him just straight up forgetting his arm isn't there anymore. Thinking about the sadness he would feel every single time he remembered.

I ADORE Earthspark so much augh

Gonna keep this brief because I'm tired~

-The family themes were STRONG in this batch and I love it. The Maltos are a Found Family magnet. The moment a cybertronian is in their vicinity they are family, they have no choice <3

-Loved the action, loved the absolute intensity and brutal moments of the show. Yes girl! Raise those stakes!

-STARSCREAM

-I think the writing overall is great but when it comes to smaller moments there's some bits that are kinda shaky? I think Megs and Starscream should've absolutely had a bit more of deep dive, even if it was just for one scene. There's also things like Ravage's spying being tossed aside, the inconsistency of some story points, Mandroid and Alex, and just general rushed moments.

I'm honestly giving them some leeway here because 1) The biggest story moments were done VERY well and 2) it's very clear that something happened between the first half and second half of the season that may have caused some restrictions or sudden writing changes. They seemed to have some type of limit of how much they could fit into the first season, and their #1 priority is the Maltos so the other stories the writers wanted to tell had to sadly sit on the backburner and exist as sprinkled clues.

I am however very very hopeful for s2 and what it could bring! I'm hoping to see more bots as well as lore about the great war and more character backgrounds(especially megs and scram). It seems quite obvious the next major villain will be the Quintessons. Given Quintus Prime(who in modern lore is their creator), and the fact Mandroid liberated the Sharkticons from an unknown force(who are going to be absolutely pissed and most likely searching for him). With the bots and cons seemingly at peace, it would make sense they would unite against an enemy that always brings them together across many iterations.

-The kids are traumatized, Quintus we are going to have WORDS. Do not make me slap your bald head like a pair of bongos!!

It just occurred to me that the reason why Eddie Brock wanted a simple and quite life in Venom2 could be because he is afraid of losing Venom. He doesn't want to do anything reckless and be the hero in the sense that venom wants him to be because he doesn't want to drag anyone's attention and have Venom be separated from him and studied like before. Eddie is happy with a mediocre life style of just eating breakfast made by his alien husband, to be a normal journalist and have a shitty boss, he still believes he can do good this way and at the same time he doesn't put those he loves at risk.Eddie knows better than before,he knows that having his loved ones by his side is more important than fulfilling his needs. I'm sure he doesn't even want Venom to use it's powers while they are doing their job because Hello? what if someone sees it? If he discourages this behavior and try to solve it on his own, maybe Venom won't do it again.

This just makes sense because he still blames himself for what happened to Anne, which he was responsible for but still, he doesn't want his reckless actions and his quest for heroism and justice cause harm to his loved ones.

Venom should already know all of this since he reads Eddie's thoughts and yet it thinks of itself as a burden, as if though Eddie's life had been better without it, which isn't true, Venom in this entire movie just shows off and tries to impress Eddie with what it can do, tries to show Eddie what they could achieve together like a genie that is ready to fulfill Eddie's wishes, all it's potential feels like it is getting wasted, it knows what Eddie wants and is just confused and angry by Eddie' refusal of accepting this way of life which surprises me. Because hello? You live inside his head? So maybe Eddie can keep some thoughts for himself? I don't know how these powers work to be honest I've just seen the movies. It breaks my heart that Venom feels that way,since it had been called a loser all its life on it's homeplanet and now he knows just how capable and powerful they can be thanks to Eddie. Eddie makes Venom special and Venom knows that by the end of the movie, Eddie is special to him since he technically is one of the few humans who have achieved symbiosis with Venom, Venom fails to live inside the other people it possess after it breaks up with Eddie during their fight. Eddie can't give Venom what it truly wants,which is feeling needed, special and powerful after having been called a loser all its life. Eddie doesn't bother to go and look for him because he doesn't think that Venom loves and cares for him the way he himself does. Venom seeks out other people and probably tries to search for someone else who can make it feel the way it want's to feel and by the end of the movie it realizes that it can't basically find anyone else like Eddie, who can tolerate and care for it the way Eddie does.Venom goes through the same pain of being separated and lose a loved one in order to realize that, it's love for Eddie is more important than this need to feel powerful and needed. Venom also realizes that Eddie loves Venom unconditionally, despite its tantrums, all the complications it brings into Eddie's life, Eddie still cares and loves him for all his defects, Venom doesn't need to do anything special to make Eddie want him, Eddie is perfectly capable of leading an acceptable life without having Venom intervene. Venom then also tells Eddie that it will love him despite his own defects which is just adorable.

They can't function without one another and they complete each other. Perfect symbiosis on a physical and emotional level sort of way.

What cought my attention was how truly happy Eddie looked when Venom admitted its love for Eddie at the end of the movie, which based on my sort of jumbled explanation is a huge thing for them both.

This whole post is abit of a mess but still :'D
