The daughter of the kotoha Takahashi a previous champion of earthrealm. After her mother had died she was forced to live with her step father kei Takahashi and her half brother kenshi. Hatsune and kenshi weren't that close but they looked out for each other while kei was being resentful towards Hatsune. After suffering through the mental abuse her step father gave her she ran away and was taken in by a kind woman named madame bo who is a restaurant owner. She had learned kenjutsu and martial arts since the age of six from her brother and later on continued with the help of madame bo.

The big sister

Suchin is the daughter of madam bo and one of her trained fighters she grew up training along side the lin kuei siblings but she later on got separated from them after they allied with outworld. She accepted Hatsune as her little sister despite the fear of being replaced suchin noticed how malnourished she was and that she was on the run from her family made her feel bad and accepted her and later on kuai Liang joined the family and they helped Hatsune unlock her arcana.

The vigilante brother

Kuai Liang has been living in the shadows of his twin sister lisa Liang and his older brother bi-han but after growing up and finding out the monster his brother had become and more about the plans of our world. H distanced himself and one day he had ran away from their clutches and stayed with one person who he knew in earthrealm and it was madam bo who took him in and later on he met Hatsune and suchin who were a bit hesitant to accept him but warmed up to him nonetheless and he helped Hatsune unlock her arcana beforehand despite the traumatic experience he went through to unlock his.

The swordsman brother

Kenshi always followed in his father's footsteps and has always obeyed his orders but that was until he met his little sister Hatsune he pretended not to care for her because of his father but he couldn't ignore it when she was harmed or injured. He felt guilt and sadness for the first time when he found out his little sister had run away and despite not knowing where she was he didn't lose hope on finding her and apologies for her forgiveness if he sees her again.

The female cryomancer.

The sister of bi-han and warrior of the lin kuei who served outworld. Lisa Liang was a dangerous warrior but unlike bi-han she was merciful towards the innocent which created distrust between her and other outworld warriors. She looks up to her big brother wanting to be a great warrior like him and help his goals be fulfilled. She also has a twin brother kuai Liang who she loves dearly and swore to protect him from danger even if he can protect himself and she was devestated when the lin kuei told her he had betrayed them but she didn't believe it.

StrangeSpot, Round Twenty: Wheels

Dot has a fleeting moment of one bolt chemistry with Jamie but it quickly disappears after she flirts with him a little. That leaves her chemistry relationship panel empty and she realises she might be on the asexuality spectrum. I was wondering when StrangeSpot’s first ace sim would appear! JoAnn is still seeing Jamie so it’s a good thing Dot wasn’t all that keen.

Jamie loves hot chocolate. Whenever anyone would ask about it, he would simply say it was something he liked because of his childhood. He never expanded his explanation but he knew why. Growing up in Toronto, Jamie had his fair share of skating in the late winter nights on outdoor rinks, parents begging him to get off the ice, and hot chocolate. 

You had known Jamie since growing up next door. You were the reason he loved hot chocolate. He would drag you along with him to the rink, promising hot chocolate. You would always go with him. You knew deep down, you would have followed him anywhere. 

“You’re going to Erie?” you asked softly after the draft in 2018. “Yeah,” Jamie frowned, “I’m sorry.” You didn’t mean to make him feel bad. “No, Jamie, I’m happy for you. I just will miss you.” He hugged you, “I know... Want to make hot chocolate?” 

You felt selfish when Jamie had to stay home more in 2020. He would text you all the time, sit on facetime with you, sit in his own driveway while you sat in yours. “They are talking about me going high in the draft,” Jamie spoke, sipping on his cup of hot chocolate. It wasn’t cold outside but it was your tradition. “I hope you get drafted to a nearby team, I want to be able to see you still,” you told him. 

When Jamie left for Anaheim, you were sad. But a text from Jamie made it feel better, a picture of him sipping on a hot chocolate in sunny California. 

His texts got less and less while he was away. Jamie’s mom would remind him to try and talk to you more. “I saw (Y/N) loading her car up, her mom said she’s going to university, have you talked to her recently?” his mom would text one day. “Her mom said she’s homesick, maybe give her a call if you can before your game.” 

Jamie had actually texted you after learning you were homesick. He had nonchalantly asked where you lived at school. Twenty minutes later, you opened your front door to find a grocery delivery, all the items for hot chocolate, and a mug. You sent Jamie a picture of your hot chocolate. 

You never wanted to blame Jamie for forgetting about you. You knew how hard he worked to get to where he was. You couldn’t blame him. It did hurt though, when during the off season, he was yards away, windows facing one another, only a couple of steps from your driveway, and yet you never saw him. He was having fun with other friends, going on vacations with his league friends. 

Jamie hated being injured. He was injured all last season and he was injured now. He wanted to go home. He wanted his mom to tell him it would all be okay. He wanted a hot chocolate. He drove to the closest store, ignoring the confused looks from the cashier as he paid for his hot chocolate mix, whipped cream, and marshmallows as if it wasn’t warm outside. He thought about you every moment of it. Memories of the two of you walking home from school and making hot chocolate in your kitchen ran back to his mind. The first text you had received from Jamie since his birthday was a picture of his mug, a steaming cup of hot chocolate. 

He returned home to Toronto for the brief Christmas break. He didn’t see your car in the driveway and frowned a little, he was itching to see you, to make up for lost time, to apologize. “Is (Y/N) home?” he asked his dad. “Her car was here earlier in the day.” Jamie decided he couldn’t just sit on the driveway and wait for you, he wanted a skate. 

He carried his skates up to the nearby outdoor rink, the one you both went to as kids. He prayed no one recognized him, he just wanted to clear his mind by skating. After a while, his cheeks were bright pink and he wanted one thing again. Hot chocolate. 

The hot chocolate bar had a short line and he didn’t mind waiting. He had his skates in one hand and was focused on looking around the rink. “Next!” 

He approached the counter, still his eyes weren’t looking up. “Can I get one hot chocolate please?”

“Jamie?” you choked out. You had gotten a job at the rink. It was more of a volunteer position, working at the skate rental booth and the hot chocolate bar while home on break from university. Jamie standing in front of you was almost a fever dream. You hadn’t seen him in the flesh in so long, only on social media or during NHL games on your tv. “(Y/N)?” his eyes lit up. 

You didn’t have to send one another pictures of your hot chocolate that night.

I was chatting yesterday with the lovely @lady-o-ren about this post, where I talk about Jamie's violent inner self and how his love for Claire redeems him from that violence. Saves him from sin. Absolves him in the eyes of God.

@lady-o-ren pointed out that Jamie is quite self-aware of his inner violent self - a self that only Claire's love for him (and his love for Claire) keeps in check. He fears this inner self - he knows it is nothing but destructive.

And, Jamie himself says this to Claire several times in the Books - which is something I hadn't remembered! Producing the quotes here:

In Voyager Ch 54 where Jamie sorta talks about it. It's after Claire's been stitched up by Yi Tien Cho and he's telling her about Culloden and Murtagh dying. "I could feel it there, a hot red thing in my chest and belly, and … I gave myself to it,” he ended simply."

In Fiery Cross Ch 17 is where Jamie talks about being in a mob. “I didn’t think you would. Can’t see you as part of a mob.” He kissed her ear, not to reply directly. He could see himself as part of a mob, all too easily. That was what frightened him. He knew much too well the strength of it. And then as the scene goes on he says - “Nothing will harm ye while there is breath in my body, a nighean donn. Nothing.” “I know. "

Cannons in my writing and things to know:

Below is some of the things i tend to keep cannon in my writing but these can differ depending on the readers house and storyline (mostly for hp fics):

If the reader is Hufflepuff they are always friends with Jess McConnell and Cedric Diggory (Golden Era), or Amos Diggory and Alex McConnell (Marauder Era)

If the reader is Slytherin they will usually be friends with Timothy Greengrass and Joey Taggart (Golden Era), or Regulus, Barty, Evan and Pandora (Marauder Era)

my inspiration tends to come and go a lot, so if it takes me a while to get your request out, i genuinely apologize in advance, but i do ask you to not be rude and try to pressure me into writing faster.

RAINBOW entertainment incorporated, better known as simply rainbow or often shortened to RBE, is a fictional entertainment company based in seoul, south korea. founded in 2009 by moon jiwon, an ambitious woman searching to make her break in the growing idol industry. the company has debuted 5 groups, including some of the most popular groups in the industry today. the company’s first group, XOX, was a short lived girl group trio with minimal success, which nearly brought about the end of the company. the group was forced to disband or the company would face bankruptcy. 

the first ever RBE trainee and former member of the failed XOX, yang eunbi was committed to seeing her company reach the heights she always dreamed it could. in a last ditch effort to save the company, with eunbi as director, the company created the subsidiary the lucky one, funneling all of their last funds into one big leap -- an experimental co-ed group. 

as eunbi’s calculated risks and knack for pushing creative boundaries produced success after success, she climbed the ladder within the company, becoming close with the founder and ceo. in 2017, a year after the debut of the company’s second girl group, moon jiwon is embroiled in a scandal thanks to the early, desperate days of the company and is put under investigation for embezzlement and tax fraud. In the face of this issue, she steps down, allowing for eunbi to take her place as ceo. As rainbow ent is beginning to take hold as a big player in the idol industry, eunbi has even bigger plans.

𓂃 ˖ RAVANA is a five member boy band who made their debut in 2013 under HONEYMOON AVENUE with the hit single ROCK ME. the band, consisting of JAMIE, ICHIRO, KIMOON, EUNKI, and KYRIE, was formed in 2010 as an independent band between friends who met through scouting and auditions. the quintet is known for their genre flexibility, regularly switching between genres such as r&b, indie, punk rock, pop, and more. they also may or may not have a history of dating scandals, internet beefs, and dramageddon-like events riddling their career. the reputation somewhat directly opposes their peaceful, hipster, and timeless nostalgia concept, which fans have quickly grown to fall in love with. though, the groups talent to stir controversy and theatrics is uncanny.
