Happy International Asexuality Awareness Day! 💜♠️

Asexuality was never something that I seriously considered myself having, but a couple of weeks ago, things sort of just fell into place for me. I feel that in a lot of circles in my life both past and present, sexual attraction, while not an enforced or demanded, has felt like an expected thing. Whether in a focused or more casual sense, I think there's a general atmosphere of sexual attraction being a typical development in life, which of course it is - but not for everyone!

And so for the longest time, I waited for the moment when things would click for me as well; where I would have the same level of enthusiasm and excitement that I saw in others. But I've found that my strongest feelings of intimacy could thrive in something other than sexual attraction, and I've found happiness in that. I never once put these things together through the lens of asexuality, but I think the build-up of experiences throughout my life has meant that it's been easy to do so now.

If I could describe it, it would be like coming to a well-placed reveal at the end of a novel or film - Nothing about the details or events up until the reveal have changed, only now they feel so much more significant for being in this new light.

I wanted to do a little drawing to celebrate this realisation, as well as a celebration of every other ace out there, however you identify! 😊

He's not the messiah, he's a very haughty boy

I knew a drawing of Paul Atreides was coming, but I wasn't sure how it was going to look! He is a very multi-faceted character and I wanted to depict that - the venerated figure with an all-consuming influence, spreading from the Bene Gesserit, to Arrakis, to wider worlds and beyond. A cosmic fire, bringing light to some and destruction to others.

Palestinian Poppy Postcard - Charity Fundraiser 🇵🇸

Hello all ❤ This is a piece inspired by the Palestinian poppy and the keffiyeh. I have produced a recycled postcard featuring this design which I am now selling to raise funds for aid in Gaza.

One hundred percent of the money recieved from purchases of this postcard will go towards Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) - a charity that provides access to essential health services to those in Gaza and the West Bank.

From the posts coming out of Gaza, I have seen graphic injuries, dead children, and untold grief. I want to look away but I cannot, and I must not. None of us should. I feel helpless every single hour so I am compelled to do something, and I hope I can do more.

The genocide occurring right now is causing abhorrent injury and loss of life. MAP remain one of the only international organisations striving to deliver humanitarian and medical services, and they need all the support they can get to help as many people as possible.
