I'm begging you to reread TFOTA and think after every sentence which leaves Cardan's mouth that he CANNOT LIE. And I'm not talking about our basic stuff like "You want to hear me scream." (set five years after the snake incident)

hc that Jude once got a really nasty cold after a visit to Vivi and Heather's. She brings it back to Elfhame and tries to wave it off as nothing. Cardan knows she's struggling though. When dawn breaks and the fae are all falling off to sleep Cardan feels her skin in their chambers and discovers her to be boiling.

"You could cook a pheasant on your skin, dearest."

Jude fails to respond instead falling onto their bed, still dressed in her day attire. Snoring sounds are heard no more than a minute later.

Cardan, in a tizzy, calls upon Oak who he knows is in Elfhame at the moment. When Oak arrives to his sister and Cardan's chambers he takes one look at Jude and tells Cardan not to worry. She has a cold.

"A cold? She's blazing!" Cardan counters.

"Hang on. Let me get something from my room." Oak departs and comes back with a bottle of motrin.

"What's this?" Cardan asks, shaking the contents of the pill bottle.

"It'll help make her feel better while the virus runs it's course. Should only be a few day thing. Remind her to read the label."

Dropping a very special Sketch-a-wish, voted on by my lovely Patreon members for August!
