I wanna get these TMAGP 8 thoughts written down before the public drops so here's your spoiler warning!

SPOILERS AHEAD

So this "Gifted Kids Program" that the Magnus Institute had is very intriguing. I'm going to throw a thought out there that's kind of a gut feeling, with only OTHER gut feelings to back it up

What if they were trying to make Avatars? I can't help but feel HEAVY Stranger vibes coming from Gerry Keay in this episode. Something was so off about him, and I don't think it's just because he was a much more normal person (apparently, at least) than in TMA. And Sam certainly has tendencies that lean towards The Eye.

I've been trying really REALLY hard not to drag The Fears into this, but this was my gut feeling and I wanted to share. Maybe the new entities (if there are some) parallel The Stranger and The Eye which is why I'm getting those vibes from Gerry and Sam, respectively.

Honestly, I’m still kind of new to the AvA/AvM fandom but it’s so interesting to see everyone’s headcanons n how they vary from each other, especially when it comes to relationships

Relationships, whether platonic, familial, romantic etc, are probably my favorite things to explore when I get into a new fandom and this fandom isn’t an exception.

Personal fav being how people portray Chosen and Dark’s relationship cause it fucks me up no matter what EVERYTIME/pos

anyone wanna hear some fresh gore gossip? of course you do.

my brother works at a parkour gym in town, and he knows most of the people who train there and those who do acrobatic type of sports in the area. anyway, he wasn't there, because he had a fever on that day, but there was a FREAK ACCIDENT.

his friend was doing his little parkour routine, running on the blocks and scaling the tables and walls and whatnot, and he must've been going at a mighty speed, like a crazy mighty speed, because when he was to make a three meter leap between platform A to platform B, he miscalculated i guess, missed by a decimeter, and hit his shin on the edge of platform B.

and his leg fell off.

i didn't know legs could do that.

do you realise how fast you must be running to get such a momentum when you jump that you stub your toe on a table and your leg falls off????

the edge cleaved through the skin, it cleaved straight through the bone and straight through the calf muscle and the fat tissue. it cleaved through literally everything except the skin on the back of the guy's calf. so the whole lower leg of his just hung there, dangling by the skin.

had they had kitchen scissors at the ready, they could've just cut off that thin remaining skin and thrown his entire lower leg away. like it was OFF. dude got AMPUTATED AT THE GYM.

they have to get a replacement for that platform too, because he hit it with such force that his leg made a dent in the wood. not a crack. a dent. a pit, a leg shaped pit. like he molded the wood around his shin as it simultaneously cut his whole leg off. like a meat axe

anyway he screamed bloody murder of course and fell and then proceeded to bleed over a liter all over the floor and everyone had to hold him still so he wouldn't tear the remaining skin of his leg off in his panic. the kid who called the ambulance has had nightmares ever since apparently, which like, fair.

anyway the ambulance arrived and abra cadabra the orthopedists somehow managed to magically reattach the leg again and screw the bone back together and sew all the other tissue together, putting his leg in one of those sort of morbid metal cages that are all frankenstein style with the freakishly large bolts and whatnot.

the grand finish of the story is that guys who do parkour are fucking insane bc he's back at the gym now ready to jump

Okay, so, y'know how Jason Todd in fanon is normally depicted as a hothead who just explodes with anger? That's... Not actually Jason... At least in canon. People think he has an explosive temper when that's far from the truth. Example, the Lost Days (and UtRH) storyline. Instead of going after Bruce immediately after learning the Joker is alive and there's another Robin, he makes a plan to control Gotham first. He simmers in his anger. He waits, and he plans, and he executes that plan when the time comes. Sure, in the moment he seems like he has an explosive temper, but that's actually weeks to months worth of anger coming out at the same time.

Jason Todd is actually more like Batman than people think he is. Like, the similarities are long. That's why Jason, Artemis, and Bizarro are called the Dark Trinity (plus that they're all from each of the original Trinity's mythos'), and why Jason is the leader. Artemis of Bana-Mighdall has an explosive temper, so she can't lead (plus, while the most sensible, she doesn't fully understand the concept of extreme planning, like WW). Jason Todd, has a calm and calculative reaction to horrible situations, that he allows himself to feel later. Like Batman, except when he feels it, he's not useless like Batman is at the time.

Just wanted to mention this because I’m finally getting to revise this scene within the second part and I’m excited to talk about it! When the MC gets to Aurelian, and the dorm you’ll be staying in, you’ll be able to choose your rooms design. (Since Aurelian Academy is enchanted, the magic will happily oblige.)

And, yes, each one will potentially offer unique reactions from the various characters.

You’ll be able to choose from these:

Cozy: A crackling hearth sends off a gentle glow throughout the room, something that only exemplifies the dark color palettes strewn throughout: showcased in the deep engravings within the wooden walls, in the plush rug stretched in front of a couch within the small sitting area situated in the corner of the room. It’s a place that radiates warmth, safety, and a general feeling of home.

Elegant: Tastefully chosen decor— from the leather sectional to the hand-engraved bookshel, and even the beautifully crafted stained glass window— complements the overall feel of the room, as well as the beautifully handcrafted crystal chandelier that offers the central lighting. It’s a place that radiates power, wealth, and, above all, comfort.

Gothic: Straight out of the classic vampire guidebook— the room is splashed with black, blood red, with the barest hints of dark gray. Various alcoves are dotted throughout, filled with various oddities, and stone gargoyles stand as sentries within the topmost ones. Dragon clawed scones offering the main lighting for the room. It’s a place that’d make Count Dracula proud.

Minimalist: Less is more, right? Well that saying is personified within this room! Clean lines, sparse furniture, only the necessities, along with a neutral color palette. This place radiates a certain light and airiness that can rarely be found anywhere else!

Normal: The typical Aurelian Dorm experience! Why customize it when you have everything you already need? A simple bay window, along with a sturdy elevated bed, with a desk situated underneath, are the main focal points of the room. Added on, you’ll find a few bookcases, a small couch, and a rather nice rug. It’s a room that’s so good you don’t need to even think about changing it!

Nature: Why go outside when you can simply stay in your room? The bed is seemingly carved at the base of a grand tree itself, along with a small meadow being created to simulate the main sitting area— with bits of bioluminescent bark, mushrooms, and fireflies (not real), being the main lighting of the room. It’s a place that any nature lover will love to spend their downtime in!

Colorful: Why have one simple color scheme when you can have them all? The rainbow has made its home within your room, and you wouldn’t have it any other way! A slew of different colors are dotted throughout— from the tie dye bedspread to the multicolored flames that dance within the hearth— to give you whatever you may need! This is a place that’ll never have you seeing in black and white!

Fellow Writers! Do you know what an “epigraph” is?? Cuz I sure didn’t. Courtesy of Google, here’s the literary definition: 

“In literature, an epigraph is a phrase, quotation, or poem that is set at the beginning of a document, monograph or section or chapter thereof.”

Why am I bringing this up, you ask?

Idea: Write a cryptic/foreshadowy poem at the beginning of your story. It won’t make sense to a new reader at first, but then as the story goes on, it’ll all slowly piece itself together.

Idk, it just sounded fun and that’s what I’m doing for my WIP, soo thought I’d share.

let me tell you a story.

pride month, 2023, my dad is teaching world history at a high school. one of his fellow teachers at said high school had a pride flag outside his trailer (the building was under renovation, so some teachers taught in trailers. let’s call this Trailertown).

one night, while all the teachers were gone from the building, some high schoolers decided to set the flag on fire.

literally, fire. they burned it, and luckily, they were caught on camera.

the next day, all the teachers who teach in Trailertown heard about this, and were reasonably angry.

so they (including my dad) all agreed to wear shirts supporting pride, for this teacher who’s flag got destroyed.

that. that right there is how you can be an ally.

(if anyone’s wondering, yes, the students who did it got punished.)
