aw HI CAYTLIN!! ty I'll use any opportunity to talk about my sonas!!

it's easy to just call puddle my project-sona, but I've been using puddle online for about 12 years!! they're a genderfluid slime person and a 'reflection' of myself for my autobios and personal work- I also use their design for comic tip videos here and there on youtube.

also somewhere on there is the original lore of puddle and all the variations they went through before I started developing xko! (10-ko, my 10th sona variation)

my first concepts for xko looked a lot more puddle-like. the way I see it now is that xko spent the last decade trying to blend in as close to people as possible- the result of that being Puddle as we know them today: a humanoid cartoonist slime just doin their best!! but trying to keep 'together' gets exhausting quick- sometimes energy levels are harder to control and puddle has to take a break, or excitement runs a bit high and xko pops back out.

just as xko can become puddle, I got sooo many other variants, too!! they're all the same character, but they're also... not? they have some different priorities, interests, preferences, comfort levels- some understand they're xko, some don't know* (or know for sure). they're all still a part of xko.

I also tend to put my sonas together into a cocktail shaker and mix them up, design-wise. it's fun to draw them all on top of each other inhabiting the same body and end up with a dog with 6 ears. how did it take so long to find out I had a dissociative disorder lol

right now I'm blowin the dust off my first fursona design koda, pomo🍅, and a scrapped side design I've had to combine them into a new variant for an adult anthology comic 😋

I also have lwam and street magic but I can't talk about them without spoiling their stories 😭

I've been asked by multiple people for my medical BuJo setup, so here are the important parts @justcaytlin you were one of them I believe?

This is the first page after the Index, which since my Artist's Loft journal comes with two bookmark ribbons I keep one here for easy access

My list includes this planner, my phone, phone charger and brick, medications (obvs the hospital will give you your meds if you're admitted, but sometimes I'm in the lobby long enough that it's medication time and I need them on hand), laptop, laptop charger, underwear, masks, diary, pens, wallet and cards, sketchbook and pencil/pens, hand sanitizer, earbuds, MP3 player. Then this is how I plan my schedule. I did the entire year from December Twenty Twenty-two to December Twenty Twenty-three, so I don't have to keep making calendars at the beginning of each month.

I also made a page ahead of time for today's Neurosurgery consult, with the new doctor's name, address, and time I needed to be there, with half the paste dedicated to questions and concerns I had, followed by the rest of the page being appointment notes.

Other that that my BuJo is dedicated to other things, like my cats' and their illnesses, their vet info and medications and a log for when they need to see the vet, a spread dedicated to the GoFundMe for their cancer treatments and a list of charities I'm trying to contact, and other less important things I need to keep track of.

Anyway hope this helps/inspires my fellows who need to keep track of this stuff!

So as you can see, I’m going to be out of commission for a while. Tamberlane is hereby put on a break, all Patreon rewards are suspended, and will be returning as I’m able. I will probably be doing some sketches and stuff since I can doodle while lying down, and I’ll post those up on Patreon. (I’ve got some concept sketches for chapter 4 that would be fun to post.) But otherwise… expect silence from me.

If you want to keep up with my condition, I’ll be posting on Twitter (@JustCaytlin). I’ll probably try to use the hashtag #PixStatus. If all goes well hopefully this will only be a month or so and then I can get back in the saddle. I’m dyin’ to finish this dang chapter, man!!!
