Ten years from now when the world has its Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Palestinian Genocide, we will remember the death politics that Israel, the US, Britain, and Germany committed to preserve their imperial impulses. They are not democracies, they are death factories.

Maki Yamamoto’s appreciation for Palestinian tatreez goes back far before she began seamlessly weaving the indigenous cross-stitch embroidery into Japan’s most well-known form of traditional clothing, the kimono.
“For me and those who know the history of kimonos, it's a very natural pairing because the kimono has been influenced by neighbouring countries by the way of the Silk Road – China, Korea, Persia, Syria and many other cultures,” Yamamoto shares.
From the TRT World article Palestinian tatreez in Japanese kimonos: A cultural symbol of solidarity

funny how celebrities will raise $26M for a fashion institute but can't be bothered to mobilise even a fraction of that energy and money to help the people being tortured and killed in an unapologetic genocide as we speak. love that for society. what a moment for The Culture.

it's very disheartening to see that Palestine or Gaza is no longer the highest trending tag on Tumblr so early on in Global Strike week, especially considering how many people have said they still need to work and buy food (100% valid, by the way). don't lose momentum. keep talking about what's happening. keep reblogging and sharing useful resources and information. we need the Palestinian people to know that we see what's happening to them, we care about what's happening to them and we stand with them. Percy Jackson and Tumblr Live are no where near as important as the genocide of Palestinian people.

I still see people defending the IOF's bombing of hospitals, schools, and homes in Palestine by saying, "there are tunnels underneath them that Hamas uses" or "Hamas uses the people as human shields," so I thought I'd try to share something with them.
This is the building in which Saleh al-Arouri, the founding commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades of Hamas, was assassinated by Israeli forces on January 2, 2024, along with six (6) other Hamas members, adding up to seven (7) deaths.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Love them or hate them, that's not my point right now. My point is: look at the building.
Do you notice how it's still standing?
They targeted a single apartment flat, and the whole building is still standing. There are other apartment flats in the same building that look relatively untouched. The building next to it looks fine.
Additionally, only seven (7) people were killed in this strike, all of which were announced by Hamas as its members.
This is the kind of technology at the Israeli forces' disposal. And yet, when they bomb Palestinian schools and hospitals with the pretense of targeting Hamas soldiers, hundreds die and the entire building goes down, if not several others.
Maybe the IOF can be precise when they want to be.
But maybe, when it comes to Palestine, they don't want to be precise.

The reason why causes like the fight against KOSA don't go anywhere is because you fuckers give up too quickly.
You see one advancement from that damned bill and drop your sword and say that it's over.
Wake the fuck up.
If we don't keep fighting, even if it's gone silent for a while, that shit's gonna go through without us even knowing. Fight tooth and nail. Show them that we can and will beat their asses if they don't straighten up. And don't just say we will. Actually do something if it does pass. They think we'll take this sitting down and will just lay there. We need to prove them wrong.
But if we don't get on their asses and lay down like cowards, they'll think they have power. You bitches who say "it was a good run" or "I can't do anything so we're fucked" are part of the problem.
KOSA and KOSA adjacent bills blatantly violate several amendments in the US constitution. People need to realize that.
And if you don't think you have a voice or can't stop it in any way, yes you can. Do research on your rights, don't just get your info from Tumblr or wherever else. Go on and search on your own. Especially if it's something you've seen and you're unsure if it's true.
Misinformation can murder a cause.
You can do things, you just need to find a group.
And don't just keep KOSA online. Tell people you know. Make them care. If they think it's a good idea, change their minds. Don't "agree to disagree."
And don't just not care because you've lost faith. You can still try. And if peace doesn't work, get physical. Get dirty. We've done it for causes like Palestine, we can do it for this.* (read the tags for my elaboration on that- i don't want people getting the wrong idea.)
Organize. Attack. Scream. Make them hear you. Because if we don't, they're gonna take full control.

Palestinian freedom fighters breaking out of Gaza and reclaiming their occupied territories. They’ve taken over israeli tanks and have chased out the settlers that were on that land. They’ve launched rockets everywhere and the iron dome has failed to intercept. This is about to mark a momentous event in history.
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.

American tax payers, your money is being used to kill people in Palestine when it should have been used for your children's education, your free healthcare systems etc.
Your government doesn't care about your well-being. This is your money, they have no right to use it to kill innocent people, they have no right to put blood on your hands. Make the government regret their decision.

I went to an Ilan Pappé talk yesterdays - I really recommend his books if you've not checked them out already. He's arguably one of the worlds leading experts on Zionism and the "Israel"-Palestine conflict, so obviously everything he said was great, but what I want to highlight:
Someone asked him if he thought the protests and petitions and calling you reps and shit would work, and he said no, it never will. It's still important to do that but the powerful will never surrender their power to the powerless just because they ask for it. Asking the UK and the US to cut ties with their imperial outpost in the Middle East is like asking an animal to gnaw off it's own limb - it won't do it unless its only other choice is dying completely.
So who does have the power to put a stop to this, we asked. The working class of the imperial core. That's us, and we are the most powerful people in the world right now, because this war machine can't function without us. Movements like this can only be built from the ground up, so stop looking to the government and start looking to your community. We need to make it more unprofitable to support Israel than it is to cut ties with it.
This is a call to action. The people HAVE the power, and we have to use it. Yes, that's you. Contact your trade union, your workplace, your school, your church, your university. Your friends, family, any connections you have. As many people on board as possible, with one goal: shut it down. Take direct action now.

Israel bombed the convoy of the injured whilst they were leaving the Shefa hospital, which was heading to Rafah crossing point with Egypt. They were moving injured to be treated in Egyptian hospitals, but Israel just bombed them. 3.11.23 🎥 Saleh aljafarawi.

I don’t know if I’ve seen this fundraiser shared here yet, but Mohammed Nasri is a 22 year old currently trapped in Gaza trying to raise money to evacuate his family of five. His mother suffers breathing difficulties and requires treatment not available in Gaza. He has already lost three of his young cousins, please share and donate what you’re able to help his family out. You can find updates from him on his Instagram, hamed_ra1212 .
