thinking about how 1989 does sound like a new york album in some ways but the marketing obviously hammered that home like nothing else vs taylor saying slut! is more of a california song and a lot of the og album was even recorded in LA

basically what i'm saying is imagine a version of the album where it ends with wtny instead of beginning with it; heralding a new beginning and leaving the back and forth relationships behind for a new city she can get lost in

#not saying that's a true description to life #just interesting to me how in some ways this album is super cyclical #we come back every time #and i find it interesting to think about the different ways it could have been marketed #i have the same thing with lover #fascinating how our conceptions of art are so so so defined by how they're marketed #especially how they're initially presented to us #first impressions are hard to shift

On the other hand: GODS, HE REALLY ISN'T NORMALLY ALLOWED TO BE MORE THAN COOL AND OCCASIONALLY SURPRISED IN DC, IS HE. (Surprised, afraid, whichever applied, but generally the same reaction.)

Like. We have seen him angry before (and was a hint for his disguise way back in the Magic Lovers case), but it's mostly Mk exclusive, I guess. I can always vividly see the animation from Blue Birthday (special version) in my head, and him being a reactive brat in Mk in general, it doesn't usually cross my mind just how little Kaito's allowed to express himself within DC. Even when he gripes, it's more sulky. Mk Kai at least throws actual glares and not just side eyes and sighs.

To Conan, Kid being able to get angry is. Will he still only be angry in private, for audience only, or will characters in universe go 'uh oh somethings different with him', because that's just fun to think about.

Hey speaking of dungeon meshi, I think its really fucked up that the story brings up slavery Twice and just glosses over it. Esp when one of said mentions is pointing out that one of the characters OWNS another which makes all their interactions a whole lot less cute.

Anyway I hope Kuro skins Mickbell and makes a rug out of them.

#the other mention is when the canaries are at the dungeon bazaar and there is a mention of a Demi Human Slave Market but we dont see it #which is FUCKED UUUUUPP #but also makes laios being with a kobold and orc child in the final pages of the comic kinda sweet cus it to me implies their presence #has been notmalized in the world and no one thinks of them as an other to be owned or slayed any more #i kinda rlly wish that the comic didnt bring up slavery at all if it wasnt gonna do something abt it #like its such a NASTY concept to have there and not Do something abt #and kuro being Mickbells slave is so fkn VILE cus everyones just okay w it and they treat him like a pet #which is kinda silly cutesy till u realize their actual dynamic

Paisley's Bridal Boutique Mod is getting a major revamp for Stardew 1.6!

More hats, shirts, and pants for weddings and festivals will be added, full animation for all pants and dresses will be possible, and an updated look for Paisley's boutique tent will be included in version 1.3.0

The transition to 1.6 and de-bugging are almost complete, so expect the official re-launch to happen around the start of May. More exciting news will also be included in the official 1.3.0 launch post [coming soon!], so follow my Tumblr to keep up-to-date with the latest developments :)

I feel like there is a strong correlation to Frank Hubert’s initial subtext with Dune (its islamic religious themes, a premise setting an empire against local populaces, the attention towards ecological developments in desert environments with a bias towards temperate zones from outsiders wanting to “enrich” the land), and all of the recent developments in Gaza and its history, both with the original influences to Hubert’s novel and the timing of a blockbuster adaptation happening while international focus grows towards Palestine, that is going unmentioned outside of the usual jokes and memes
