Rounding out phase 1 of our 2-3 phase polling extravaganza to discover who the best Marvel casting choice is.
Turns out there are way more Agents of Shield characters I wanted to include (tumblr only allows 12 options) so I may do a second poll down the line.
We have currently begun round 2 of the polls - facing off the first batch of winners. There are about 6 days remaining on that one so please vote!

Hey Mister Peterson. I have been fascinated with languages for a while. Then I discovered that they can be created. Long story short, I looked far and wide for information. I even bought your book recently.
The thing is that you and another tumblr user Isoraqadeth (probably misspelled that) seem to approach language creation experimentally. Especially when reading the conclusion of your book.
That said, there are some aspects of naturalistc conlangs that I like. Specifically, the systematic evolution and divergence of a protolanguage into a language family.
So my question is could language families be used artistically? Such as exploring different variations of a theme? Or to illustrate how one group has divided along different ideologies?
Thank you for reading. Take care.
I'm going to skip to the question here and ignore the rest. The answer to any question "Can you do x with a conlang?" is yes. Even though languages don't arrange themselves based on ideologies, you can create them to do so as if such a thing happened. This latter type of experimental design is generally referred to as a philosophical language or engineered language rather than an artlang, because the goal is to represent a philosophical idea. Láadan is an early example of one such language. Basically, as long as there's something that represents meaning in a semi-stable way, that can be a language.

The elderly couple
I knew Mister Peterson and his husband Michael for years now, they were great people and good neighbors. I really wanted to somehow thank them for their support, and clothes infused with green juice were just the best way to do that.
Tumblr media
I asked them to check my clothes shop. Every single piece of fabric here is covered with concentrated juice, so the growth should be immediate.
Tumblr media
They were a bit shocked when their bellies started packing pounds and their sking started to tighten up, but it was needed to endure the further growth.
Tumblr media
As their body temperature started rising, so did their muscles. They were bulging more and more under their skin, beefing up with mass and shape. Pecs sag forward and down, abs came outwards, legs puffed up more and more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The best part was when their ripped muscles started mixing up with pudge. They couldn't stop flexing and squeezing their new bodies as their previously thin bodies expanded in all directions.
Tumblr media
Finally, they grew into hot muscle bulls, ready to explore each-other's new mass and curves. I left them alone for some time. Who knows, maybe they decided to try some other clothes too.

Character Actress
Margaret Brainard Hamilton (December 9, 1902 – May 16, 1985) Film and television actress. She was best known for her portrayal of the Wicked Witch of the West, and her Kansas counterpart Almira Gulch, in Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's film The Wizard of Oz (1939).
A former schoolteacher, she worked as a character actress in films for seven years before she was offered the role that defined her public image. In later years, Hamilton appeared in films and made frequent cameo appearances on television sitcoms and commercials. She also gained recognition for her work as an advocate of causes designed to benefit children and animals and retained a lifelong commitment to public education.
She appeared in The Phil Silvers Show episode S2E20 Bilko Enters Politics (05 February 1957). During the 1960s and 1970s, Hamilton appeared regularly on television. She did a stint as a What's My Line? mystery guest on the popular Sunday night CBS-TV program. She played Morticia Addams' mother, Hester Frump, in three episodes of The Addams Family. (1965–66; Hamilton had been offered the role of Grandmama, but turned it down.
In 1962, Hamilton played Leora Scofield, a suffragette who arrives in Laramie, Wyoming, to bolster feminist causes in a territory where women had already obtained the right to vote, in the episode "Beyond Justice" of NBC's Laramie.
Even with her extensive film career, Hamilton took roles in whatever medium she could get if she was free, making her soap opera debut as the nasty Mrs. Sayre on Valiant Lady, who schemed to prevent her daughter from marrying the heroine's son. In the 1960s, Hamilton was a regular on another CBS soap opera, The Secret Storm, playing the role of Grace Tyrell's housekeeper, Katie. For ABC's short-lived radio anthology Theatre-Five, she played a manipulative ailing Aunt Lettie to Joan Lorring as the unhappy niece Maude in "Noose of Pearls". In the early 1970s, she joined the cast of another CBS soap opera, As the World Turns, on which she played Miss Peterson, Simon Gilbey's assistant. She had a small role in the made-for-television film The Night Strangler (1973) and appeared as a befuddled neighbor on Sigmund and the Sea Monsters, who is a friend of the very similar Mary Wickes. In The Paul Lynde Halloween Special (1976), she portrayed Lynde's housekeeper, reprising the Wicked Witch role, as well as introducing Lynde to the rock group Kiss.
When she reprised her role as the Wicked Witch in a 1976 episode of Sesame Street, "the show's producers were flooded with letters from parents saying it was too frightening for children." She appeared as herself in three episodes of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, between 1975 and 1976, because Fred Rogers wanted his viewers to recognize the Wicked Witch was just a character and not something to be afraid of. Hamilton continued acting regularly until 1982; her last roles were two guest appearances as veteran journalist Thea Taft (in 1979 and 1982) on Lou Grant.  (Wikipedia)

✔️ — @invinciblecrew, Dirk 👀
Charlie is currently sitting on the back counter next to the kitchen door, legs swinging. His head is resting against the wall, and though his eyes are open, it’s clear he’s somewhere else entirely.
If he thinks about it too hard it’s difficult to forget he’s currently floating through the vast reaches of space. But four walls and a door could just as easily be on Earth, just as easily on Earth II, couldn’t it?
“ What do you mean I can’t call you ‘my dear’? What am I allowed to call you, then? ”
Dirk is wearing his handsome military uniform. Or some kind of uniform. The fantasy doesn’t care for that sort of detail. He’s dressed up, to be sure.
“ Well, let me think. Char or Charlie, just for every day. My love, for Sundays. And Goddess Divine, but only on very special occasions. ”
The fact there wasn’t a flowing, gorgeous equivalent for that last one that was more masculine was a crime. But Charlie was prepared to be a Goddess Divine for the sake of the fantasy.
“ And so what do I call you when I'm angry at you? Mr. Van Der Berg? ”
Oh, he did like the sound of that. Nothing wrong with a good strong Peterson, no. But Van Der Berg really was gorgeous—
“ No. No. You can only call me Mr. Van Der Berg when you are completely, perfectly, and incandescently happy. ”
Outside of fantasy, Charlie thought that the full last name could end up being a bit much for all that. But if it was good enough for Elizabeth Bennett…
“ I see… ” He had a cane, too, yes. Perfect. It really suited the look. And the time period he was imagining. “ And how are you this evening, Mr. Van Der Berg? ”
Nobody would ever be a better Mister Darcy than Colin Firth. But Dirk was a damn decent stand in.
Charlie promptly nearly fell off the counter when the Captain snapped their fingers near his face, whipping up off the wall with a yelp. Thankfully, gloved hands prevented his descent to the floor.
[ You looked like you were having a good time. ]
Charlie couldn’t stop the goofy smile that spread across his face as he slumped back onto the counter again, elbows first. “ Yeah. I was. ”

Chapter 1
I sighed, looking at the calendar on my wall. The full moon was in two days, and so was my birthday. Of course it was.
My name is Acwulf Kaiser. My friends call me Wolf. If you were in my shoes, you might think that nickname is a slap to the face. But I chose the nickname because I liked it, and I’m not gonna let this curse ruin my name for me, too.
What? You’re wondering what this curse I’m on about is? You’re a curious one. I’ll have to keep that in mind.
Well, go on. Have a guess.
That’s right. I’m a werewolf. In two days, I’ll turn fifteen. And all signs point to me turning into a wolf for the night, too. Quite the birthday present.
I turned away from the calendar and back to my schoolbook. There was a big test for Enchanting coming up, and if I didn’t study, I was screwed. I was good at school and enjoyed it most days, but everyone has a bad subject and mine was Enchanting.
There was a knock at the door. “Yeah?” I called.
My best friend Brazen Anderson opened the door and stuck his head in. “You done studying?”
I shrugged. “I can be.”
“It stopped raining. Want to go outside?”
I looked at the schoolbook. I’d be fine. It’d been raining all week, and who knew when it would start up again. Regardless, fresh air would do me good, as my mom would say.
“Yeah, gimme a minute.”
Brazen grinned. “Yay! See you outside, Wolfie.”
He ducked out and pulled the door closed. He’d called me that nickname as a joke once last year and somehow it stuck. It was annoying, as most things about the prankster were.
I closed the Enchanting book, stood up and stretched, then walked out of my dorm, closing the door behind me.
“Took you long enough,” Brazen called from the bottom of the stairs outside.
I ran down the stairs. “Hey, it only took me three minutes, max.”
“Could’ve been faster.”
“What did you want me to do, teleport?” I asked with a laugh.
“Maybe,” Brazen said with a grin.
“You want me to be fast? I’ll race you down to the woods. No shifting.”
“Oh, you’re on.”
I took off running. Brazen sprinted after me, both of us trying to keep our footing on the wet grass.
I heard the distinct noise of Brazen shifting behind me. “I said no shifting!” I yelled.
Brazen shifted back. “Sorry, force of habit!”
I skidded to a stop about five feet into the woods, mere seconds before Brazen.
“Good job,” Brazen said, panting slightly.
I smiled. “Thanks. Where to?”
“Nomi and Hollow are in the Wolf Fruit Clearing, last time I checked.”
I nodded and followed the Shifter down the path. He knew the woods like the back of his hand. Well, every bit but the shadow part. He was scared of that part, all four of us knew that, and I couldn’t blame him. I could see in there, he couldn’t, and the place still gave me the creeps, in a weird, intriguing sort of way.
A face with blue eyes, freckles, and curly brown hair surrounding it suddenly appeared inches from mine. “Boo!”
I jumped backward, laughing. “Hello yourself,” I said to Harlow Anderson, Brazen’s twin sister, a Shade, and just as mischievous as her brother, though she acted more behind the scenes.
Harlow giggled, hanging upside-down from a tree branch. “You’re pretty easy to startle.”
“You’re looking pretty easy to knock off that branch,” I countered.
“Point taken.”
Brazen climbed up the tree next to his sister. “Race you to the top?” he challenged.
“You’d better be ready to lose, mister-“
“Makes you wish Raza was here, huh?” the final member of our group, Naomi Peterson, a girl with dark skin, warm brown eyes, and dark hair asked from her spot underneath a tree a few feet away. Her hair was blowing in the breeze, and she had a book open on her lap.
I nodded. “Yeah. You with Carlos, too?” I knew Naomi had a brother, though I didn’t know much about him.
Naomi shrugged. “I guess.”
I walked over and sat next to her. “Ready for the Enchanting test tomorrow?” she asked.
I shrugged. “As I’ll ever be. I think I’ll be fine.”
“You will be.”
“What about you, ready for Astronomy next week?”
“Should be, unless these star charts change on me over the weekend,” Naomi said with a laugh. I smiled.
A purple fruit rolled to a stop at my feet. “Sorry,” Harlow called. “Missed a step. Should be fine to eat, maybe a little bruised.”
I picked it up, turning it over in my hand. She was right, it was a little squished on one side, but it was perfectly ripe otherwise.
Enough for a Moon Potion, if Professor Brooks let me use the other ingredients. And if I had time. If not, it would work just fine to keep me as a peaceful wolf instead of the monster I’d inevitably turn into otherwise.
“Wolf?”
Naomi’s voice jarred me out of my thoughts. “Huh?”
“I asked you what it tasted like.”
“Oh. Um, apples,” I lied. I was usually pretty good at that.
It didn’t taste like apples for me, and I knew that. Wolf Fruits had special qualities that tamed the wolf side of a werewolf, and one effect of this was that if you were a werewolf, the fruit tasted like chocolate. If you weren’t a werewolf, it tasted like a regular apple.
Wolf Fruit trees had to be planted at night, and yielded the best fruit when planted underneath the light of a full moon. The fruit ripens every month, three days before the full moon. I had three Wolf Fruit trees in my backyard back at home.
Naomi nodded. “Been a while since I’ve had one, but they taste like apples for me too.”
“Apples for us, too,” Brazen said, sitting in the tree above us. How he got there so fast and so quietly I have no idea.
Harlow jumped down from the tree, nearly slipping on the wet grass, though all three of us pretended not to see it. “Wolf, any plans for your birthday? Anything you wanna do?”
I hadn’t thought about it much. Not only was my birthday on the full moon this year, it was always on Halloween, so I rarely had any plans for fun activities. “I dunno, maybe explore the shadow part?” I had no explanation why, but that part of the woods called to me, as much as it gave me the creeps.
“Sounds good to me,” Harlow said. Of course it did, Harlow could see. Naomi and Brazen couldn’t, for reasons we didn’t understand.
“Sure,” Brazen said. I could see it in his eyes that he wasn’t entirely stoked for it, but I also knew that he was up for adventure.
After Naomi didn’t respond for a few seconds, I nudged her. “Oh, yeah, cool with me, too,” she mumbled quickly. She was a Memoria, which gave her the powers of a Telepath with the added control over memories. She was prone to zoning out, and she could quite literally get lost in her memories if she wasn’t careful, so all three of us made sure she was as zoned in as possible at all times we could.
“Sounds like a plan, then,” I said with a smile.
The bell tolled three times. “Time for dinner,” Brazen said, jumping down from the tree.
The four of us headed back inside. I could feel a few raindrops as we walked up the stairs and knew that we’d lucked out, as it was going to start raining again soon.
Professor Brooks was standing at the door to the dining hall. “Brazen, do you happen to know anything about some of my potion stock disappearing overnight?” He called over the crowd to us.
Brazen shook his head. He’d gotten so good at feigning innocence I couldn’t tell if it was genuine or not when he said, “Me? I wouldn’t steal from you, Professor.”
Professor Brooks was convinced. Mostly. He’d dealt with the Anderson twins for almost five years. You learned a lot hanging around them for that long.
“Do you know anything about that, Brazen?” I asked in a low whisper as we took our seats.
“Of course not,” Brazen said, and I would’ve believed him if I hadn’t caught his cheeky grin for a second. Brazen Anderson, always up to something.
“What’s our next unit in Special Powers?” Harlow asked, trying to pierce a piece of roasted zucchini with her fork.
“Telepaths and their variations next,” Naomi said. “Then we move on to the different kinds of Seers, then Werewolves.”
I managed to swallow the bite of food I had in my mouth without choking. “Oh. I didn’t know Werewolf was in there,” I said.
“New addition,” Naomi answered. “Along with Spirivatis, Vitanias, and Necronias.”
I nodded. I’d heard of Necronias and Werewolves, obviously, but hadn’t heard of the other two.
I was pretty sure the conversation continued, but I wasn’t paying much attention.
Now, you’re a curious one, so you’re probably wondering why I hadn’t told my friends about my little curse yet.
To be honest, I wasn’t entirely sure either.
On one hand, I had a feeling they’d be perfectly fine with it. I also wasn’t the best at keeping secrets, so for all I knew, they already knew.
On the other hand, these three were the only people to ever treat me entirely and one hundred percent as a person, not like some disease that needed to be contained or a monster to be scared of. My own family couldn’t do that all the time, and I couldn’t blame them, because I couldn’t do it half the time.
If I told them, I ran the risk of losing that freedom, and I wasn’t quite ready to loose that.
We walked back to our dorms after dinner, up five flights of stairs to the fifth year level. Our dorms happened to be very close to each other, mine on the far left, Naomi’s to the right of mine, one empty one next to Naomi’s, and Brazen and Harlow’s shared dorm on the far right.
When I entered my room I noticed a letter on my desk, along with a bottle. I closed the door and crossed to my desk. The letter was written in messy handwriting that I almost recognized, and it was unsigned.
Wolf,
I thought you could use this.
P.S. It’s not what this one is, but in case you didn’t know, if you combine a sleeping potion, a human-shifting potion, and the juice of a Wolf Fruit, you get a potion with the same effects as the Moon Potion.
I looked at the bottle. It contained a potion the color of the Moon Potion, and from the letter I knew exactly what it was. I already knew Mom was swamped with work and couldn’t make the Moon Potion for me this month, and I never asked Professor Brooks for one since I didn’t want to be a burden, so this gesture was a nice one, even if I didn’t know who sent it.
I tucked the letter away to remember the useful recipe and set the potion off to the side in a safe space. This month, at least, I’d be spared the pain of the transformation.

A compilation of notes I’ve taken from books, therapy, podcasts and just thoughts I’ve had over the past couple of years…
I call them..
Little life notes
I think we can all recognize how short life is. You blink and five years have gone by. But something that I don’t think we pay enough mind to is how short the ability to really live is.
We are the constructors of our own wounds.
We don’t have to be broken to get better.
There is a difference between walls and boundaries.
I have a complicated response to sexual intimacy. Casual sex is not okay for my mental health. There is almost always pain associated with casual connections because in those fleeting moments there’s always that thought of “this is all I’m worth.”
I was drinking in order to reduce my values. I am worth so much more than I was allowing myself to settle for.
When we are so hurt that we are controlling our level of connection with people. We are actually hurting people… we are responsible for OUR PART of everything.
Take ownership of what you can and absolve yourself of what you could not control, what you were not aware of or what the other persons bullshit was.
I am attracted to unavailable men because I know that it is impossible to get past that certain point of the potential of being truly, deeply hurt by them.
Taking ownership is not about shaming or blaming yourself. It’s about freeing yourself.
You may not be able to see your way through it. But if you can see your next step, you can keep going.
There is no such thing as a mixed message. Just a message that you misinterpret.
There is a difference between taking responsibility for how you reacted to a situation and taking responsibility for a whole situation.
Too often do we choose a familiar hell than an unfamiliar heaven.
You end up wasting your pain by feeling it, sitting in it, hurting over it but doing nothing to grow or move on from it.
Where there is emotional triggers in your past, there is mastery to be learned. -Jordan Peterson
When we ignore the red flags, we continue to to create a story that gets more painful and more deep.
What we choose, we become. When we allow someone in to our life that treats us poorly, it means on some level we believe we are worthy of that. And if you don’t believe it, you’ll start to because you allow it.
Manifesting is not just imagining something happening for you. It’s realizing your worth and knowing what you want, and believing you will have it.
We all have our addictions or a vice. Some of them are just more socially acceptable. But they are all an escape from something.
Unconscious or lack of relational awareness will repeat the same patterns.
An idle mind is the devils playground.
When you wake up to your ability to choose, conscious choice, you become the God you were taught to praise.
Success isn’t directly correlated with how hard we work, our family name or our degrees. Success often times is directly with one’s level of worthiness. As soon as one believes they are worthy, those doors open up.
You don’t have to be attached to a belief. If a belief becomes wrong, you can shift.
We are giving the exact shit that we need to allow our highest expression to come to life.
Gratitude is the access point to abundance.
Be grateful for what you got because you got exactly what you need.
Women confusing anxiety/fear for attraction.
Learn to create intimacy with your own emotional interior.
Caring at the cost of self, is not caring. It’s codependency and it’s not good.
“No More Mister Nice Guy” by Robert Glover
Emotionally unavailable people are the only ones that find emotionally unavailable people attractive.
There is no act that humans fail at more than love and still don’t bother to learn about.
One of the most powerful tools in a relationship is having a deepening curiosity about your partner. Why they say what they say, think what they think, where they are coming from. When you’re curious, you can’t judge. You are creating space for empathy, you are discovering and expanding as a person.
In the space where you are compassionate to how the relationship is currently being, how that person is showing up, what their dreams are and their vulnerabilities, you are doing that for yourself in that moment. The more space you give them to be themselves, the more actual freedom you give yourself.
Change is inevitable, personal growth is a choice.
Anxiety is information/data. It’s our bodies way of telling us that something is not right or out of alignment.
What agreements do you live by that you know to be untrue but you still live by them?
Are you what you love or what loves you?
Where do you use something that stimulates dopamine that pulls you away from the feeling you’re uncomfortable feeling?
Humans have two needs, attachment to other people and belonging and the need for self expression and authenticity. But when self expression and authenticity threaten attachment…attachment wins.
Carve out some time away from distractions to ask yourself how you are doing. Do a self inquiry.
When you feel like you have nothing else to lose, like your life has completely shattered away. You have been left with the ability to reconstruct exactly who you want to be.
Humans think we have to experience deep pain in order to awaken when all you really have to do it decide.
Letting go of the righteousness of suffering allows you to be on the same level with everyone.
The antidote to defensiveness is to say “I can see some truth in what you’re saying.”
Trauma is anything that overwhelms the system’s capacity to process through the energy of that experience.
Until you become responsible for your life, you will look at your life circumstances and call them fate.
Fate doesn’t work for you unless you work for you.
Social comparison is a thief of joy.
Gaslighting refers to actions that cause someone to question their own memory, perception or sanity.
Between stimulus and response there is a space
And within that space is our power to choose
And within our choice lies our growth and our freedom
My extroverted tendencies have been more of an avoidance of sitting still
The most important words you will ever hear are the words you say to yourself
Do you want to be right? Or do you want to find resolution?
I tend to view a disagreement as an attack. It usually isn’t as everyone has their own feelings and opinions.
No matter where you go, there you are.
Book- Radical Self Compassion
My drinking wasn’t a problem to me. It was my solution. I had to find a better solution.
I can’t drink because I have a delicate mental state and I know that.
I quit because I don’t know when to quit. I quit because I hit rock bottom. No, I didn’t hit rock bottom in the way a lot of people do. No death, legal problems or anything like that. I lost you. And that was rock bottom for me.
What feelings am I feeling that are genuine and what feelings are being fueled by my mental illness?
You can’t curb the chaos until this thinking changes, until the foundation changes, until the chemistry changes.
As much as memory and experience is important to develop who somebody is, it’s more important to be in touch with who you are now and what’s happening now and figure out a way to not live in the past.
We have to trust other people in order to survive and have a full life. A part of being human is feeling things.
