A pastiche of Pokemon battle music using some quotations from Shostakovich's 5th symphony. Basically, a Shotakovich battle theme. If I do another I'm gonna do Mozart with stuff from Symphony 40, I'll probably look into trying to do more with one motif instead of using at least four like I did with this one.

Back on my bs, with heartfelt thanks to @tafferling who has suffered through the monumental twist in chapter 13 of Mass Effect: Absolution. I hope they can forgive me. Thank you for reading my weirdly niche oc fanfic. I dedicate this artwork to you.

Emrys, inspired by Marvel’s ‘What if..?’ character The Watcher, is something I’ve wanted to draw for a while.

Last week I was also tagged by the wonderful coemancer crew to share two tracks that I associate with one of my ocs. I hope you don't mind if I chose Emrys.

He has a backstory inspired by Muse’s The Dark Side, I especially love the alternate reality version, because it has a haunting, lonely feel, and a mass effect vibe.

Then imagine my surprise when Ghost released ‘Impera’ in ‘22. It has so many uncanny parallels. I know the album has themes surrounding the rise and fall of an empire, hence the name. But it’s also the name of the fourth planet in the Trebia system, the turian home system in Mass Effect. Emrys hides the Absolution behind Impera when he takes his team back to Palaven in a risky move to thwart the Reapers.

And then there’s the track, ‘Watcher in the Sky’, again, I know it’s a metaphor about searching for a higher power to explain away all the evils people do to each other. But you’ll have to forgive me if it gave me chills. The similarities to Emrys, who is an AI inhabiting the relay system and a literal ‘watcher in the sky’ it is, at least to me, more than a little freaky.

It's not just a soundtrack, I made it based on my oc Aolyxe's personality. Perhaps I can say that this is Aolyxe soundtrack... Ahah, probably something that could be played during a boss fight with Ao?

This, by the way, is a short version. I also have a long version saved, but I think I want to work on it a little more for now.
