Funniest trolling that Gamefreak ever did was giving a middle finger to all the "Modern Pokémon games are too easy!" folks by making the infamously difficult Cynthia battle 110% HARDER IN THE REMAKES.
Look at this old OG Diamond and Pearl team with only a single measly Sitrus Berry on Garchomp VS the remakes team with better movesets, abilities, smarter item choices including the soul crushing Yache Berry that made my heart sink into my shoes when Garchomp tanked the Ice Beam she should have been 4x weak to, the same Ice Beam from my Empoleon that one hit KOed in the originals.
Did I mention that the remakes team has PERFECT IVs TOO?????
And how about that rematch team, huh?
Level 88. That would make her the Champion with the highest Level Pokémon in the series since Red in Heart Gold and Soul Silver.
It's almost like Cynthia saw the fandom doubting her and decided to remind them what true fear is.

Cynthia *giving a private guided tour of a museum of early Sinnoh history to Dawn*: and part of the problem with figuring out what happened in the early days is that not only did very few texts survive, but the ones that did are incredibly mysterious!
Dawn *playing on her phone and not really listening*: uh-huh.
Cynthia: For example, Cyllene’s diary was partially recovered and it was filled with words and phrases that are unusual for the time period and that have never been fully translated! It is also interesting to note that of the unusual words bear a striking resemblance to today’s slang!
Dawn: cool.
Cynthia: even linguists and other experts in language evolution and history are stumped!
Dawn: yeah.
Cynthia: Dawn, you really should try to pay attention! As the new champion you’re supposed to be a role model to all of Sinnoh!
Dawn: *sigh* yeah ok.
———-
*a week later in Cynthia’s office*
*Dawn bursts open Cynthia’s door with a bang. She’s in a ripped up Survey Corps uniform, slightly singed and has a black eye*
Cynthia: Wha-
Dawn: hey, yeah, so I found out why Cyllene and Laventon and other early texts were using modern slang, and I’m sorry but it was too fucking funny to hear them say ‘scrunkly’ and ‘blorbos’ with a straight face to pass up.
Cynthia: uh, I-
Dawn: And Arceus is a fucking dick.
Cynthia: I- well, yes but-
Dawn: and your ancestor was just as crazy as Cyrus but also really hot, just fyi.
Cynthia: how do you-
Dawn: Also, My name is Akari now.
Cynthia: I - uh, ok??
Akari: awesome, glad that’s cleared up. Im gonna go pass out now. *faints*

Cynthia In Scarlet and Violet
I have to say, I would’ve loved to see Cynthia in the Indigo Disk part of the DLC, since we know she does take a vacation in Undella Town. But, I think the only way it would happen is if the player had finished the story of Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl.
We know by now that data from other the games can be recognised, as is seen by the woman who gives us phone cases in Mesagoza.
The player would’ve had to finish the Indigo Disk, as well as the Epilogue, to get Cynthia. They would’ve had to battled with every trainer available, as well as trained Pokémon with them. Then a cutscene would begin, with the players friends and the League inside of the League Room, when the doors open….
Cynthia: *Walks in*
Everyone: *Looks and goes silent*
MC: *Turns around* Champion Cynthia?!
Cynthia: I know, it’s been a while, hasn’t it? Word on the street is that you’ve become very strong! Even… stronger than you were in Sinnoh.
Nemona: W-Woah! You’ve battled Cynthia?!
Cynthia: *Laughs* Yes, they have. And, I’m prepared for a rematch! What do you say?
If you say ‘no’, she will wait for you.
If you say ‘yes’, the battle will commence.
MC: I’m ready!
Cynthia: I was hoping you’d say that~! Show me how much stronger you’ve become, Y/N!
Cynthia’s Team:
Spiritomb- Lvl 90
Lucario- Lvl 92
Braviary- Lvl 92
Glaceon- Lvl 93
Milotic- Lvl 94
Garchomp- Lvl 95
Yes, this might seem extreme, but this is Cynthia!!!
Her Garchomp will Terastallize into a Ground Type, to stop any opposing Dragon Types from taking it down right away. But, you would have no way of knowing it.
Cynthia: It’s time, Garchomp!!! Let’s dazzle everyone with our strength!!!
After you beat her, she’ll be available to invite to the League Room, and battle her again. She will trade you a Gible too, after a while.
Trainers She Would Converse With:
Geeta- Mainly talking about the player.
Rika- Also talking about the player, but making Rika worry about you even more (Spear Pillar).
Nemona- Talking about the Sinnoh Region, and challenging Cynthia to a battle.
Raifort- Their interests in History.
Jacq- Talking about Professor Rowan and also, the many other Pokémon in the Sinnoh Region.
Tulip- Complimenting Cynthia on her looks (a lot like what she did with Rika).
If you go back to Snacksworth, he will tell you that he has spotted Dialga (Scarlet) and Palkia (Violet). You’ll have access to Giratina, through the Gold Quest. You will not have access to Arceus, however.
Both Dialga and Palkia will be found in Area Zero and Giratina will be found in Area Zero, but near the place you found Terapagos.
Anyway, we know this would never happen… but let a girl dream~!!! Haha! Cynthia is my favourite of all of the Champions, after all~! 😁
