Hip Flexors and Hamstrings💪After spending 6+hours driving this flow was the perfect stretch for my aching back! Flat back to prepare pose, notice I don’t hinge at the hips but literally bend forward. I did this 5x and held for 2 seconds at each phase. Standing backbend gets right at your psoas, one of the MAJOR contributors to back pain. Single sided wheel pose stretches and strengthens the hips, glutes and quads as well as your psoas and quadratus lumborum. When these muscles are over or u derworked pne of the first symptoms is back pain! Wheel helps to alleviate that pain and keep all your muscles fluid🙏 Missing because video is in real time is when I bring my heels to my butt, with my legs wider than hip width apart. My favorite SI Joint lubrication💪 Do each side 5 x each holding for 2 seconds and then perform a full wheel 5 x holding for 2 seconds! @drbriancox ・ The standing quad stretch is one almost everybody has seen, but it is not often done correctly. Last week @seanwes shared my page (thank you!) and said he was looking for some more quad stretches, so here’s a start. - This is great for runners, but anybody can do this stretch being really mindful of the keys. - I like doing it with my back foot resting on something instead of holding it. This way you don’t have to focus on balance, and you can better measure your two sides against each other. If you don’t feel a stretch put your back foot on something higher. - KEYS: 1. Keep everything in line: Knees even, shoulders and hips square, toes forward. 2. Tighten your butt and feel the stretch in your hips but don’t arch your back 3. Keep everything exactly the same on each side so you can find difference 4. Keep the hips level (don’t sit in your hip). 5. Hold for 15 seconds at a time. - Everybody needs to work more on the stiffer side, but it’s even more important for endurance training. The Kneeling Quad Stretch A slightly different form of quad stretch, this position will help to loosen the muscles just above the knee joint, increasing mobility and preventing knee pain. 1)Start the stretch in a high lunge position, with your left foot forward. 2) Carefully drop your right knee to the floor and take a moment to find your balance. 3) Once you’re ready, reach back with your right arm, and grab your ankle, or toes, depending on what’s easiest. 4) Hold the position for 30 seconds, keeping your body steady. 5) Gradually come back into the lunge position and switch from your left foot to your right. #stretching #quadstretch #hipflexorstretch #VeeFitness https://www.instagram.com/p/BuhAntlHXRk/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=dq81bt8bhhzo
