Summary of the Emerald Ring in this au:

Mr.Vernon : Evil, he feels like the rest of the ring turned on him because one of them told the authorities that he started the fire. He was sent to juvie but got out early because of “good behavior”. He’s a really good actor and manipulator. Isn’t married to the Other Mr.Vernon in this au, but he does have a huge crush on him and send him expensive gifts from an “anonymous admirer”

Lyle: is alive and helps Mr.Vernon, having become a famous magician and having more influence in the magical community. While Mr.Vernon handles things from behind the scenes Lyle is the face of the operation meeting eager up and comers and indoctrinating them. He’s mainly with Mr.Vernon because he believes family should stick together no matter the circumstances.

Mike: Still neutral in this au but instead of being obsessed with not involving himself and keeping himself and his daughter far away from magic he’s the opposite. He encourages Emily to learn magic and learns some tricks of his own. He also thinks that the rest of the Emerald Ring can come together again, and they just need to talk and everything can be like old times. He also instills this value in Emily.

Sandra: Is the one in love with Kalagan in this au, she finds out the twin situation and falls in love with Kincaid. He actually isn’t interested in her because he realizes he loved the idea of her and would rather be friends. She’s also the closest to Mike out of all the others because she agrees with him wanting for things to go back how they were. Having a career as a fortune teller for a traveling circus.

Bob: He runs a magic themed zoo and volunteers at dog shelters. His zoo is a few towns away. He’s still in contact with Mike and Sandra.

Kilory: Is the good guy this time! He goes against Mr.Vernon not believing his “redemption” after juvie. Turns out he’s right and he starts the organization that Mr.Vernon started in the original books. He’s like a bit more morally questionable Mr.Vernon in this au, doing good thing for good reason, but with the occasional “for the greater good” decisions. Travels a lot and realizes his parents were actually bad people.

Kincaid: Is still pretending to be the old bellhop but this time it’s to keep an eye out on Mr.Vernon who has stayed in Mineral Falls. Kind of wants to join Mr.Vernon’s side low-key but that’s because he feels lost now that Kilory isn’t as around, he’s not use to being his own person and kind of just wants someone who will tell him what to do.

As Rabble is finally defeated by Miles Morales, things seem to be bittersweet. Agent Gao's team are back to their normal selves even though they are injured. Rabble is badly injured that she had to be taken to prison hospital. Miles Morales and his team are fine as well as Rhino leaves on good terms.

Shift the clone is alive but injured that he had to be taken to hospital. However, because of Shift's bad experience with the laboratory for being raised and abused in his life, he refused to be taken to hospital. Miles Morales decides that Shift has to go to a better place - his home. Thus, Miles Morales takes his clone brother to his house where he introduces Shift to his family. Miles' parents are shocked at the sight of the clone while his little sister recognizes Shift (since he saved her from Selim when she was a baby) and warms up to him.

Question for the Magic Misfits fandom:

How old do we think everyone is? I think the Misfits are meant to be like, 10-12, but maybe I’m wrong? And more importantly - how old is Mr. Vernon? He looks pretty old to me, and Carter calls him “the old man” when he first sees him, but he must be about the same age as the rest of the Emerald Ring, and both Sandra and Lyle have kids in the Misfits, which would make them all like, mid-late 30s/early 40s at most unless they had kids really late?

So, how old do we think they are? Do they ever say how old the adults are, or long it’s been since the fire?

Meadow couldn't settle the anxiety that knotted her stomach. She couldn't help the feeling of not belonging in a place such as this, where everyone wore real jewels and designer clothes, it made Meadow feel under dressed in her favorite blue dress. Meadow doesn't even understand how she of all people managed to get a hold of an invite, she wasn't some famous magician, she didn't preform for crowds of people, she preformed card tricks for kids when the cafe she worked at was slow.

Now surrounded by strangers, Meadow wished she had stayed home instead. Meadow sighed, she shuffled through the crowd she hoped to make it to the refreshments table, maybe a cold drink will help make this night more bearable and she won't leave the party some spend their entire careers hoping they will be invited. Just as Meadow spotted the red table cloth of the refreshments table, someone bumped into her and spilled their drink all down Meadow's front.

"Oh dear! I'm so very sorry." the woman who bumped into Meadow was tall, with brown wavy hair neatly tucked into a purple bandana that matched her purple shaw. The woman offered the napkin she was holding to Meadow and Meadow started to dab herself off.

"It's alright, no harm done." Meadow tried to reassure.

"That may be true, but now you're completely soaked." The woman said. "Here let me help."

The woman and Meadow made their way to the refreshments table together, where they both did their best to dry Meadow and her dress. Meadow was still damp when they finally through in the towel, but it was still an improvement.

The older woman sighed, "I'm so sorry, this must have put a damper on your whole evening."

"No, no. It's really alright." Meadow said, pausing for a moment. Meadow continued after mulling it over a heart beat. "To be honest I wasn't enjoying my evening anyway."

The woman looked a little saddened, by this like she had personally wanted Meadow to enjoy the party. "Why is that dear?"

"I kinda feel like an imposter I guess, everyone here has been on TV or preformed Las Vegas. I'm just some kid who managed to get their hands on an invite compared to them." Meadow explained.

"Well you must have the spirit to go all the way if you were invited then." The woman said, her tone leaving no room for arguments.

"Thank you." Meadow said with a chuckle, not really believing it, but not wanting to press the issue. "Um-" Meadow racked her brain for the woman's name, but was coming up empty.

"Call me Sandra sweetie." The woman- Sandra -piped up.

"You can call me Meadow." Meadow said with a smile; a little glad she came after all.
