Not insane at all, quite understandable!

As it happens, you can find recordings of my voice in quite a few places on the internet, including

My podcast, The SquaMates Podcast (off air for more than a year and a half now, due to crazy schedules and life events, but there are many hours to be listened to anyway)

My YouTube dissection series, AnatomyInsights (behind schedule, like the rest of my life, but we're working on it)

My TikTok (I am bad at this, as you will soon see, but I hope to find time to work on it)

Sometimes I do Facebook or Instagram live videos, mostly when I am measuring frogs

And I've done a few TV and radio interviews; an exhausting but not exhaustive list of media appearances or coverage of my work can be found on the Media page of my website.

You will quite quickly learn that my accent is wholly fucked, but has an American flavour to it because I lived in the US in my early childhood, but a largely British vocabulary (and spelling) because the rest of my life has been in Europe, very often among Brits. I am also an accent sponge, and tend to mirror other people's accents when speaking to them, which can get quite awkward.

Ok so scientists of Tumblr. Is it worth it to make a professional science Twitter? My current PI suggested I do to find opportunities but Twitter is Twitter and I don't want to touch it with a 10 foot poll. But, I am lacking in marine science opportunities and absolutely need to network.

So, strangers on the internet what's your opinion. Is science Twitter worth it?

I have a thesis from last year I didn’t get published (as hoped) in a journal but I do want to publish it myself just as a pdf on the internet that I can linked to my LinkedIn, researchgate, Instagram and tumblr accounts for anyone who wants to read it. there’s no point it just sitting there in my google drive (I’m gonna do the same with some other assignments from undergrad too and maybe even high school). can this be done
