listen i am over the moon that dc has finally decided to bring sin back into black canary's story. i love that. i love sin lance. i love dinah lance. i love their relationship. what i do not love is the fact that they have retconned what sin really is to dinah. sin is not and has never been her sister. she is her daughter. there is a difference and that difference matters. to take that away from both characters is ridiculous, pointless, and honestly deeply offensive. and yes i will die on this hill.

thinking about how there's this one thing out there somewhere (nowhere on tungl as far as i'm aware) that posits yumeko as a figure representative of "feminine rage" and i'm jsut
yumeko lives in a matriarchal family, goes to matriarchal school, lives in a society controlled by the matriarch of the matriarchal school that has one (1) whole male student council member. etc like lmao what on earth is yumeko raging against.
what could arguably be "girlboss" and "feminine rage" are not the same thing i regret to inform the council. in fact i'd argue that feminine rage as a statement cannot exist in a matriarchal setting.
