She Keeps Me Up (Nickelback)

Summary: You are Rhys's little sister (only by like 7-8 years), and you and Cassian have been flirting with each other for the last few months. You want it to go further but he's your brother's best friend and he probably only sees you as a sister anyway. Little do you know, Cassian can't stop picturing you in not-so-innocent scenarios.

The sweat is pouring down your face and neck, despite the cold, snowy night air around you. You’ve been out here for hours with a sword in your hands, running through the training drills you’ve seen the males do every day. Up, over, down, up, side, in, down, repeat.

You are so focused on getting the movements right, you don't hear the footsteps approaching. “Well, look who I found,” says a low voice behind you.

Your heart races as you spin on your heel, holding your weapon level with the stranger's midsection. As you take him in, you recognize the winged male before you. “For the love of the Mother Cassian! You fucking scared me.” You say without lowering your sword.

Cassian chuckles, looking you up and down. You are wearing leather training gear, with your raven hair tied back in an elaborate braid. Your wings are nowhere in sight, and the moon is reflecting off your sapphire eyes.

You two stay like this for a few seconds, him standing in front of you as you keep your blade trained on him. You're the first to speak. “What are you doing out here Cas?” you lower the Illyrian sword, sheathing it at your hip, then cross your arms as you glare at him.

His gaze is piercing, but you’ve seen it so many times that you're unfazed by it. “I was looking for you. Rhys noticed that you weren’t in your room, and sent me out to find you.” He grins. “But I never thought I’d find you with a sword in your hand, going through the moves better than any of the males your age.” he steps towards you, so you take a step back with a small smile on your face.

“Well, you’ve found me, but I’m not going home till I get this down pat.” You say as you reach for your sword. Cassian takes another step forwards, so you take another one backward.

“I don’t think so, y/n. You can finish up tomorrow morning in town where the animals of these forests can’t get you.” He smirks, but you see a glint of something other than his usual arrogance in his eyes. Is that actual concern?

Deciding you don’t want to play fair, you take a step closer to close the distance between the two of you. You can see his breath coming out in clouds and the damn smirk that’s still on his gorgeous face. You stand on your toes so you’re close to his face and whisper, “I’ll go with you, but only if you can catch me.” without giving him time to register what you said, you take off into the dark woods.

Cauldron boil him alive. Cassian knew you’d be in the forest, you always were, but he never thought that he would find you looking like a warrior goddess in those oh-so-tight leathers, wielding a real Illyrian sword like it was nothing. Mother above, you were beautiful. He almost didn't want to disturb you, but Rhys had been worried, so he’d bring you back to the house. Then you closed the space between the two of you, and he started to come up with other ideas that should not be going through his head. Gods, he wanted you so bad. But you were Rhys’ sister so it could never happen. That Rhysand would know about, anyway. He was about to cross the line when you turned the other way and disappeared.

“Fuck!” Cassian exclaimed. He scanned the dark woods around him, but you were gone. Looking up at the stars, he started to laugh. You want to play? Then game on.

You're running through the thick trees. You can hear Cassian laughing in the distance and smile to yourself. You know he's not going to go down without a fight, so you pick up your pace, looking around and keeping your senses on high alert for animals and Illyrians alike. You reach a tall tree just outside of a cave and decide to trick him further.

You summon your wings as you run toward the cave. You only go in a few steps and then fly out and up a tree. Putting your wings away, you perch on a branch, waiting for Cassian to find your tacks and enter the cave.

You're not sure why you have to constantly tease him, that's just how your relationship has always been. But the last few months have felt different. They have felt like you're not just throwing words back and forth anymore. The tension you feel when he walks in a room, the way your stomach lurches when he hits you with his signature lopsided grin, or how when he looks at you it seems to light you on fire.

Oh how you’ve wished to cross the line of friends and be more, but how could he feel the same? He’s your brother's best friend and has known you your whole life. He probably only thinks of you as Rhysands annoying younger sister. He was sent out here to fetch you after all.

A snapping sound from the ground brings you back to the present. You assume it’s Cassian, having followed your footprints. But the creature you see is not your handsome Illyrian.

Your heart beats faster when you see the sheer size of the beast. It’s covered in fur, with a tail and a massive body. Its head is about the size of a boulder, and with the light from the moon, you can see long talon-like teeth protruding from its mouth. It's sniffing at your footprints in the snow leading into the cave. It disappears from sight as you slowly make your way down the tree where you were hiding.

You have to find Cassian. And as if the Mother herself was listening, you catch a glimpse of his wings out of the corner of your eye. You quietly make your way to him. He has his back to you, so you sneak up and put your hand over his mouth so he won't make a sound.

Cassian freezes. Then in a blur of movement, you're pinned to the snowy forest floor with Cas on top of you.

Cassian's heart is racing as he pins the person down. He's been on edge since he saw very large animal tracks heading in the same direction as yours. He was almost frantic scouring the trees for you. But as he looks at who he has pinned, he heaves a sigh of relief. You are not being eaten alive.

Your eyes are dilated as you look up at him, smiling slightly.

“We have to get out of here,” Cassian whispers. You nod your head as he gets off of you. But you're pulling him back down so he's flush against your chest.

Cassian looks at you with questioning eyes but you answer with a searing kiss.

You’re not entirely sure what came over you. Him pinning you down and looking at you the way he was. You had no words to describe what you felt at that moment. You just kissed him.

His mouth was hot and his lips chapped from the cold air. At first, you thought he was going to pull away and look at you like you were crazy, so you started to pull away yourself. But before you could fully detach your lips, his mouth came down hard on yours. There was heat and passion in the kiss. A hunger you thought he didn’t feel, but with the fierceness, he slid his hands up your shirt and groaned into your mouth which made you realize that you were not the only one who was desperate for the other.

You broke the kiss reluctantly, looking into his dark eyes. “We should probably go back before that creature I saw gets us.” you manage to say between your pants. Cassian simply nods and you are up in the sky.

Cassian always prided himself on being able to keep his composure, but flying back to Windhaven with you in his arms, kissing his neck, and winding your fingers through his unbound hair was going to shatter him. He lands hard on the doorstep, letting you stand on your own. He pushes the door open to find the house empty.

You walk over to the kitchen table, where a note is placed. You turn to face him, reading what is on the paper. “Rhysand had to go back to Valaris, so we have the house to ourselves.” The smile you gave him was pure sin.

Cassian didn’t have control over his own body when it closed the distance and connected your lips to his. His hands went straight to your waist to pull you closer, as yours wound through his wind-swept hair. The noises that came from your mouth had Cas wrapping your legs around him and moving to the closest bedroom.

What Cassian would never be able to forget was how much he loved it when you said “What’s wrong with right here on the counter?” His knees almost gave out. He set you on the edge of the counter while sliding his hands up your training shirt to take it off. You were just as eager as you undid the laces of his pants, making him lean into your touch and groan.

He was big. You’ve been with males before, but never one who compared to Cassian. He was working on your tight pants as you started kissing his neck, leaving marks along his jaw and shoulder. He tasted like night air and sweat, and Mother was it sexy. Keeping your hand in his unbound pants, you moved to get closer, but he held you still.

“You keep doing that love, and this will be over far sooner than I want it to be,” Cassian growled in your ear, making a surge of heat go straight to your core.

Cassian pulled down your leggings and sucked in a deep breath, and you remembered that you had nothing on underneath them. What can you say, it's more comfortable to train with just the leggings. Next thing you know, you're laying flat on your back and Cassian has his head between your legs, looking you dead in the eye.

“If you want me to stop, I will.'' The look on his face is one of the most serious you’ve seen. You nod your head.

“I don’t want you to stop Cass.” You reply with a shaky breath.

He smirks and dives in.

He licks your slit and feels you shiver and gasp at the action. So he does it again, and again. You taste so good, he’ll never be able to get enough of you, and by the way you’re moaning and gripping his hair, you’re loving this. His hands move up your thighs to your hips and squeeze. At the same time, he bit down on her clit.

“Cassian!” you cry out. Your voice was music to his ears, encouraging him to go faster. He added a finger to tease your entrance, and without warning plunged in.

His finger hit a spot in you that you didn’t know existed. Arching your back off the counter as he ate you out like a starved male, you threaded your fingers threw his hair and pulled him away from you. He looked up at you with a question in his eyes. Do you want to stop?

“I want you inside me, now Cass.” That was all you said.

Cassian hauled you up and took you to your bedroom. The whole way there you were stripping both of your remaining clothes, leaving a trail down the hall and up the stairs. Cassian's lips leave open-mouthed kisses on any bare skin he can reach and your combing your fingers through his hair, loving the feeling of him underneath you.

Next thing you know, your back hits your massive Illyrian bed, and a massive Illyrian is on top of you, staring down at you with dark hungry eyes. His mouth connects with yours and you wrap your legs around his waist, being careful of his wings. You groan into him at the feeling of his hard cock pressed against your entrance. Cassian takes the opportunity to slip his tongue in your mouth. Not wanting to be outdone, you trace your hand over where his wing connects to his muscular back. He growls and bites down on your bottom lip then goes to bite down on where your shoulder and neck join.

“Cassian, if you're going to fuck me, fuck me already.” You said and his teeth grazed the top of your breast.

“Needy are we?” He takes his lips off my skin. You’re about to protest, but all that comes out is a loud moan as Cassian lines up with your entrance and thrusts in.

“Mmmh love you feel so good wrapped around me and moaning under me.” His words are dripping with lust as he starts to pick up his pace and devour your lips.

Your skin is on fire and you feel a tell-tale knot forming in your lower stomach. It’s almost too much when you run your nails down his back and he moans as you brush against his wings. You feel his cock twitch inside you, so you wrap your legs around his waist and full-on caress the leathery membrane.

Cassian stops his movements, and in a split second his large hand is wrapped around your throat, not stopping air flow, but it's enough pressure that you stop touching his wings. “Think you can top from down there?” he growls getting closer to your ear. “I don’t think so love.” his thrusts become punishingly fast and hard.

The whole bed is shaking as you tilt your head back, Cassian's hand still holding you down by your throat. You smile at the feeling, but it’s soon replaced with a scream that sounds like the Illyrian's name when he uses his free hand to play with your clit.

“Cas- I’m so close, pleas-”

You fall, no hurl, over the edge when Cass whispers “Cum for me beautiful, let me see you come undone.” and come undone is exactly what you do.

Your vision is spattered with stars as wave after wave of pleasure comes crashing down on you. Cassian isn’t far behind you. Two sloppy thrusts later and the male is practically roaring as his release hits him.

He falls to his side beside you, both of you are breathing heavily and are covered in a sheen of sweat. You look over at him, expecting him to get up and head to his part of the house, but he doesn’t. Instead, he gets up and goes to get a wet cloth and cleans you both up.

“Cass,” you start, but he silences you with a kiss.

“We’ll talk in the morning. Right now I just want to fall asleep with you. Okay?” The look in his eyes melts your heart. How could you say no to him?

“Okay,” you reply and snuggle closer to his warm chest.

my opinions on the disventure camp all stars redesigns

Side note i physically cannot watch s2 without being so uncomfortable with the animation style but i think ik about it enough to give my ideas

Also ratings are for the redesigns and how good they are to me

-love the light red stripe and large bow, though i think blue suits gabby more i thinks its cute 9/10

Ok this is one of the best redesigns in my opinion I love her coat, shes hot, I WANT TO KISS HER 10/10

i think i prefered the old hair better but, who cares pop off James, our absolute king ! 5/10

Metadedede:

It shouldn't come as a surprise because I like both dedede's and Meta Knights dynamic and seeing the art based around the both of them makes me extremely happy,

Kirbfluff (platonic):

like oh my god, I seriously love the idea of fluff coming to dreamland and having such a good time with kirby and both of them seeing new heights like never before, it's such a crime that prince fluff only appeared in one game and that's it.

magoranza:

ok so this was introduced me to a good friend of mine back around 2022 on discord before I became completely active on the site, but seriously this idea is amazing to be honest of Magolor and taranza being together and just seeing the both of them feel so happy after the both taranza and Magolor had gone though (even sometimes it means little slip ups from here and there)

OC x canon:

alright let's get the elephant out of the room here. I love OC x canon and idc what anyone's tells me about it. Yeah it may be cringe, but I think that if you hc your original character is in love a pre existing character is good and it can even be a good idea for those who are starting out with shipping other characters and see where you can go from there.

Metasusie:

Ok it's a moreso of a ship I like to look at perspective and say "I think it's a cute ship". And i know it's a controversial ship, but I personally think that metasusie can be put into perspective how meta knight's and Susie's relationship have changed since the events of the original game, but many people have misinterpreted Susie as more malicious than she actually is and taken things like torture fics to be canon when there's really not that much info to go off of.

Friendships

The main four:

I really love the main four's (Kirby, bandee, King dedede and meta knight) dynamic so so much like it can be considered a found family if you will and I'm so grateful that the new Kirby games showoff this dynamic very well.

The animal friends: I'm surprised how the animal friends have not been in much Kirby games recently other than star ailies, to be frank the idea of them having a great time with Kirby and with them being different pets, Kirby like to play with them a whole lot

Gooey: gooey treats Kirby as a big brother in my hc and also who likes to think about a whole lot about popstar and the entire world around him as well.

Magolor: Magolor is extremely greatful to have Kirby as a best friend After what had happened thoughout the events of rtdl deluxe, He didn't want to ask for forgiveness at first, but he felt extremely guilty for what happened So he proves to Kirby that he can succeed and even change as a person. (even if Kirby has forgave Magolor)

Bandee: he is kirby's bestest of friends and would do anything for Kirby. After the events of super star ultra he would officially become Kirby's best friends and their relationship is so so important to me because both bandee and Kirby often are seen playing with each other or drinking apple juice or he is seen even humming the song to himself.

Marx: he may be a jester but he is good at tricks, in the manga where Marx and Kirby are friends (sorry can't remember the name) he felt extremely sad over the fact that Kirby didn't remember the playdate and even more they were/ still are best friends (well in my hc) (https://www.tumblr.com/kirby-manga-translated/725558045121363968/kirby-manpuku-pupupu-fantasy-volume-7-chapter)

Dark meta knight: I'd like to think after the events of amazing mirror and star aillies, he comes down to popstar more often to either draw with Adeline and to even improve as a person, even if it means being slightly annoyed at meta knight

Meta Knight: I personally think he is mostly Kirby's friend as well, and seeing how this was the first ever Kirby character I liked when I first played as him in smash bros. Him being shy when his mask breaks and in the anime I was inspired to make a fan-made episode script based around him losing his mask (which you guys should read by the way, https://www.tumblr.com/trainerbob23/689281680493723648/hey-everyone-i-just-wrote-a-kirby-right-back-at) this guy was the reason I even got it to this fan base in the first place and I'm really glad that happened

King dedede: originally rivals, but turned to friends and even great allies. I seriously don't know why the anime turned him into such a douchebag when in the games he has definitely changed for the better and I'm so proud of dedede for proving to himself that he can change as a person in his own character arc

ur girl just watched the little mermaid remake and idc what anyone says it snapped and it was an actually good remake after god knows how long (around 7 years i believe since cinderella was also a good remake that snapped and it came out around 2015-16 ish i think).

Halle Bailey is an undoubted STAR okay and im glad this movie has gotten her more attention and success CUZ ITS DESERVED girlie sang like rent is due girlie sang like the landlord of her sea cave was giving her a hard time and she didnt have enough pearls to pay the bills and rent was DUE. I loved her acting considering the fact that she just debuted her eyes are so pretty she's so pretty her facial expressions were on point the whole movie and she's a true princess and she deserves all the flowers and more.

Jonah Hauer King just might be my new celebrity crush HAVE YALL SEEN THAT MAN hes a PRINCE PEOPLE THATS A PRINCE! THATS A BONAFIDE PRINCE i was skeptical when i intially saw him and BOY DID HE PROVE ME WRONG hes a bit different from cartoon eric, but hes not any less dreamy and if we keep casting him in lead romance roles he just might be the biggest romance actor of the gen.

The underwater animation was a joy to watch and the mermaid tails were so creative it wasnt corny or too fake looking it was fun, colorful, very natural but also very whimsical, it was perfect, i dare say. THE MUSICAL DEPARTMENT SMOKED SUMN GOODDDD LIKE DAAANGGG DISNEY WHAT DID YALL GIVE EM TO SMOKE OR DID YALL LOCK THEY FAMILY UP IN A GULAG CUZ HONEEEEYYYY THE INSTRUMENTALS THE REPRISES THIS VERSION OF UNDER THE SEA

It was romantic, dramatic, it was a solid mermaid movie and hans christian andersen is prolly rolling in his grave. Peace.

okay okay arlecchino story quest thoughts

overall i liked it but mainly the whole duel sequence which was fucking awesome but some points that bugged me:

the release of arlecchino's animated short basically spoiling the entire story quest

mentioned in the tags of my previous post but yeah i think the story quest would have been a lot more... idk interesting? revealing? if the animated short had been released after this patch/story quest. you basically spend the entire first half of the story quest already knowing the "twist" and have to watch literally everyone else figure it out which is never really engaging nor fun story telling.

like you KNOWWW arlecchino is not "that evil" and you KNOWWWWW all these atrocities were from the previous knave so seeing literally everybody go through these theatrics is a little. sigh. idk. like i was just waiting to get to the boss fight bc i knew the corresponding cutscenes would be awesome (and they were) and getting random fatui insider knowledge was fun i enjoyed having what was effectively seeing arlecchino and childe in the office break room but we didn't really learn anything we didn't already know

also. arlecchino is hardly the first but it really is just kinda. sigh when you basically get a whole scene of the character explaining their OWN tragic backstory. once again genshin fails to show not tell

freminet

i know a lot of people are upset about the freminet timeline. honestly idc at this point i'll suspend my belief whatever yadda yadda but i do think it was a cop out for freminet to have like. not at least been SUSPICIOUS that clervie was possibly talking about the previous knave just because crucabena "didn't talk about it and all the experiments ended" by the time he joined the house

like he spent a significant time with clervie (half a month right?) trying to help her out and even if clervie was "a child stuck in the past" she wasn't exactly trying to hide anything and they ALL knew she was some sort of ghost or maybe something tied to memories/leylines. and he KNEW crucabena so i'm just like. a little aghast he didn't have any damn idea like at least make him suspicious right so he and the traveler can join heads and be like "hmmmmmmm something is not right here HMMMMMMMMM" like if you are SO sure arlecchino isn't "that kind of person" (ig this was more lyney saying this but still) wouldn't you consider maaaaaaaaaaaybe the previous knaves were?

there was a single moment when they were at the table sharing intel that freminet was "lost in thought" and i think that would have been a fantastic moment for freminet to be the star and voice his suspicious but we got literally nothing from that.

honestly just disappointed freminet didn't do more in the story tbh. the trailer was really hyping him up to literally change the game lol

i mean we saw it coming we knew she was gonna spare those children somehow. idrk how to describe it like on one hand yes would be nice to have more morally fucked up characters and its a little disappointing that arlecchino isn't "that bad" she's actually super normal all things considering (childe fucking LIED) on the other hand i don't necessarily hate this is the way they made her character? but the result of the duel still felt like a huge cop out lmao like it was basically an indirect "your resolve towards family impressed me so i'll let them live" which was exactly how i didn't want this to be resolved but also don't know how they would have done it otherwise

regardless i loved the main battle cutscene in her boss form. loved that bit where she blocked freminet and lynette's dual attack and was like "sorry for what? this pitiful excuse for an attack?" i was banging my fist on the table i loved that bit sooooooooooo fucking much dear god

ending cutscene was expected and bittersweet but i liked it a lot as well. really the graphics and me just really liking arlecchino saved this quest for me LOL i think it has a lot of plot holes compared to other story quests but also a much more interesting story (bar is in hell) although you're guaranteed to get some sort of lore with a weekly boss but anyways it averages out to being a pretty okay but not spectacular story quest 👍 maybe like a 6/10, would have rated it higher if the animated short didn't spoil everything

I HOPE YOU HAVE/HAD ONE TOO!!!! Answering the simpler ones because its insanely late and i wanna give the questions Thought, so they shall be saved. this though, this ican do. sinc eapparently only ONE wip has the word feather(s) (which is, ironically, stars in a jar) i’ll give you every paragraph containing feather because i LOVE SNIPPETS!!!!!!!! idc if these have already been published. FIC!!!!!!!

from chapter 1:

Crowley trails off awkwardly. Shax doesn’t notice and nods to herself again, shaking the maroon feather perched atop her hat. “Good to know. Do you take to that, Crowley? Indulging in gluttony?”

2. While Crowley had his eyes and occasional snakey moments, Shax had her nails and the occasional feather sprout. Long, black talons with bumpy skin along the edges which assisted immensely on typewriters and could easily be mistaken for acrylics, if Shax knew what acrylic nails were. (She also knew how to make one Hell of a stork’s click.)

from chapter 5:

Things well and true come back to him while finally sitting again. It’s not the ground, but a worn and grooved leather seat. Let down gently, like a feather on a pond. The Bentley, of course, which was an odd destination for a number of reasons, but he doesn’t much care. Time passed, right under his nose. He’s sure he was conscious for it, though. (How did that work, then? Questions for another time.)

and from chapter 6 (you can tell here is where wings became relevant):

Aziraphale is not able to recover before Crawly does. She’s already back onto her knees and crawling (as is for her namesake) towards the only shelter available, which was the very boat they were sitting on. She grabs him by the ankle, rearranging even more feathers as he’s dragged with no qualms about where any of his extra limbs will end up, and nearly brought in a circle before the door is found and shoved open.

Crawly eyes the crushed feathers warily, then takes an encouraging step closer. “Worrying about Upstairs again, are we? You just said they weren’t watching.”

Aziraphale, however, isn’t having nearly as much fun—he’s taken to a heavy limp, having to drag already wet feathers through the filth of animal waste. Crawly may find these odd displays amusing, but she wasn’t going to think the same in a few weeks. Safe to say, he is not having a good time.

Crawly starts scooting closer, and Aziraphale backs up as far as the space lets him. Both wings furrow oddly above him like a canopy, and now that he’s closer, he can see what Crawly’s talking about. Where the bone is supposed to be bending slightly and stiffly, it cuts jaggedy down and nearly pressed against the other, brushing the few feathers left attached to it in his face.

anyways, here they are (in no particular order!)

1. MARIE MOREAU — GEN V

i’ve only had her for like three weeks, give or take, but if anything bad happened to her, i’d kill everyone in this room and then myself.

2. RORONOA ZORO — OPLA

i didn’t watch the anime, but i LOVED this live action adaptation. i loved every character in this show, and it was down to him and nami, but ultimately i went with zoro bc i just admire him so much (…also he’s really hot)

3. ANNABETH CHASE — RIORDANVERSE

i’ve been a die hard percy jackson fan for over a decade now and annabeth has always been one of my favorite characters of the entire riordanverse, if not my all-time favorite character. leah sava jeffries is gonna do SUCH an amazing job as annabeth, i already know, and i can’t wait to watch her be amazing, she’s such a star!

i remember when this show first came out, i had some doubts about it since i really loved the megan follows adaptation. but amybeth really sold me on this adaptation! i think she really embodies everything there is to love about anne and has now become my favorite anne!

9. HALEY JAMES-SCOTT — ONE TREE HILL

ah one tree hill, one of my favorite guilty pleasure teen dramas. it was between her and peyton for my favorite character, but in the end i went with haley, who had won me over from her very first scene.

10. KATARA — AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER

katara is just a badass, plain and simple. one of the most powerful benders in the atla universe, and THE most powerful waterbender in the universe, idc what anyone says.

every one brace themselbes for my voyager redesign. also do not interact if ur gonna talk in my ear about blackwashing she is a cosmic manifestation of outer space and if you even speak a word i might explode you. also having dark skin fading into stars and incomprehensible space stuff and having white freckles is too fucking cool.

first off i swear my hc page and my 6kaalaa manifesto and my medirion au followups are coming soon. but. rn. im thinking. also i got an award for human geo im fucking goated! but anyway. i like voyager as is by no means is this a ‘fix’. this is just. my thoughts. we sont know much abt her so we dont have the exact justifications for why she looks tjr way she does i think. but here r my thoughts.

so the idea was obviously make a manifestation of the cosmos. i think, though, that the main design objective that came with this was it had. HAD. to be a pretty anime girl that would sell well. eg. conventionally attractive, pretty, cool enough to be desirable by the anime fan playerbase. so, we got voyager, with cool dye job hair, standard anime girl face, nose and eyes, placid smile, and. clothes. regular person clothes. we did get hints of cosmic grandeur with the legs, granted, and glittery Woah that shouldnt. be on a guy. patterns, but theres really nothing mich that implies possibly horrorlike manifestation of the incomprehensible universe. this plan for anime girl who encompasses the universe came first, so this is thte first design plan im making. but sincr i wanna reimagine voyager in the confines of what bluepoch probably outlined to their design department, im gonna follow these rules instead of going ham.

WHAT DO I WANNA DO?

keep the elements of standard pretty anime girl while introducing more and more parts of SPACEGUY

make choices for the clothing that more closely align to space and BEING BEYOND THE COMPREHENSION OF BEAUTY IDEALS AND HUMAN CONCEPTS LIKE PRETTY CLOTHES (tldr shes gonna be naked in a formless way)

overhaul some of the color choices (ill try to keep the recognizable blue bair basically but. umm youll see.)

i have another design plan in the works: what i wouldve done if i had zero constraints about keeping exactly the anime girl look. and that completely redoes parts of voyagers character, but idk if ill ever post that. whatever.

IDEAS I HAVE RN:

dark dark skin. like really dark skin. lupita nyong’o skin but a bit darker. cool undertones well, actually that’s the goal, but it’ll be changed for readability. WHY? because: space is, well, dark. it is dark with flecks of coloration and pools of sparkly colors, and while voyager has the latter in spades, i wanna introduce darkness too. she will have dark skin, and her body will fade into formless stars and wisps of the nebula. but why really dark skin? because it rules and also if i added white freckles and little pools of different pigmentation it would show up as stars and nebulas.

afro that is half translucent like the bottom half of her body: it’s colored in the core but fades into you guessed it SPACESTUFF!!!! looks like a NEBULA RAHHHHH

clothes ? doesnt have them. shes formless baby idgaf. ik there r probably censorship laws about makinf nudity even if its ‘formless’. but idc. in any case, i’ll have a simple dress that flows off her that has no frills or defailing. just. a thing.

violin she can keep! thats cool! the only aspect of humanity is music and her form vaguely appearing humanlike.

thank you both for asking and for making all of these amazing ask games! i'm actually gonna be answering these for the main group of polycule ocs i have: the kiddos from celestial weddings

for the uninitiated; that wip is literally an excuse to make a giant poly with different wedding customs. there is technically a deeper plot but idc about it PFFFF i really just love them <3 most of the way i'll be answering these questions will actually be how they operate once the "main journey" of the story is over and once they settle into poly-dom lmao. BUT onto the questions tho:

1. How many members are in the polycule? How are they related to each other? Feel free to draw a flow chart!

so there are 9 (nine) members total of the polycule! they are:

celestial ruler, dagmar (he/they/she)

lilliabet (she/they)

izul (they/them)

vigustav (he/him)

muu (they/he/she)

zhujen (she/her)

almine (he/she)

rhohanen (they/he)

aenlin (he/they)

sorry this is a bit hard to read but it’s so hard to put everything into words LOL. they’re all in love tho

6. Where do each of the members land on the "solo poly" to "entwined poly" spectrum? & 7. Where do each of the members land on the "free agent" to "community oriented" spectrum?

due to the nature of being lovers to the celestial ruler/the celestial ruler and they oversee all the spheres etc, all of them are on the entwined side of poly; they make decisions as a group and everyone views each other as family/lovers/etc. this ties directly into 7 because all of them are community oriented. in general all of the spheres place a lot of value of a certain form of connectedness, for the sheer purpose of being able to have successful celestial unions to better guide all of the spheres. while all their cultures are different, they're all supposed to come together

43. Have cultural dynamics played a part in how the polycule operates?

so, in the unnamed universe of celestial weddings, each of the 8 spheres are all ruled under one celestial ruler, who has a council of 'lovers' made up of one chosen member from a royal family in each sphere (or culture).

here's the super long, fancy explanation i wrote awhile ago:

this land was created eons ago by a being known as THE CELESTIAL RULER. through the power of the stars, sacred magic, and the love and support of eight other stars, the eight realms or STAR-SPHERES were created. each sphere resembled the star that the ruler made it for, and each sphere was named for that very star: DATTENMAOW, MUKHIRU, VUKTER, DENJAI, GUANAI, ZALI, AERONWEN, and LESEDI.

once the land was made, the celestial ruler breathed life into it. the grasses began to sprout and trees began to bloom. animals of all shapes and colors rose from the ground. the land looked so inviting that little stars began to fall and populate the land; the first beings of the spheres.

they thanked the celestial ruler for the land’s hospitality and began to mingle. cultures began to rise, and intermix, and children were born. the land was coming to the ruler’s grand divination.

seeing that all was going according to the stars, the first celestial ruler had finished their long work of creation, they laid down to rest and eventually passed on; ascending the HEAVENLY STAIRWELL to return to the stars from whence they came. the place where they rested in the middle of the spheres became known as THE CELESTIAL CITY or THE GATEWAY TO HEAVEN. the first ruler never returned to the land they created.

BUT, their spirit was to return; to be reborn among the people of the spheres, in order to guide them in a glorious, harmonious existence; precious specks of glorious starlight. this spirit needed to be found, to be honed, and be ascended.

who better to find the spirit of the celestial ruler, than the eight lovers who inspired the land itself; and they became known as THE COUNCIL OF LOVERS, their duty to inspire and empower a ruling celestial, and find the divination of their new spirit once their current intonation passed on.

8 HOPEFULS found to possess immense amounts of starlight were plucked, one from each sphere, each to find the eight LOVERS who should stand by their side, one from the royal family of each sphere. they would be tested and judged, and their capabilities measured, until one who’s fate was written among the stars stood before the council accompanied by those who were divined to lead it with them. the hopeful who succeeded these trials would ascend.

thus, THE JOURNEY OF THE HOPEFULS was forged, and its legacy set in stone, to carry on for millennia after the first ruler was long gone

as the celestial ruler is a being imbued with the powerful and destructive creational power of the cosmos, a new celestial ruler must be chosen carefully. so carefully in fact, that their fate is already written among the stars themselves. the LOVERS of the previously passed celestial ruler are tasked with finding candidates who are imbued with EVER-PRESENT STARLIGHT, and each sphere will have one candidate chosen each, that has the most of it within that sphere. once 8 HOPEFULS are selected, they are whisked away to the celestial city, where each is paired with a LOVER to guide them in their training for 27 years.

after they are fully trained in the ways and rites of a ruler, they are sent sphere by sphere to woo potential lovers from the royal families of each sphere. all royal families have 8 children, or choose 8 candidates to stand in as royal children should they not have enough born, or the children that are currently in line are too young (under 20 star cycles) to be considered. the hopefuls should chose their lovers based on connection- for the celestial ruler’s fate has already been written, and as such, a hopeful should connect with the partner of their choice, and they are to be wed according to the customs of each sphere, before the hopefuls alone, as a party, move on to the next sphere.

once they travel through each of the eight spheres, they will stand before the current COUNCIL OF LOVERS and their abilities, as well as their choices in marriage will be judged. the council will look at how their journey has matured their EVER-PRESENT STARLIGHT and whosoever’s fate matches the stars will ascend and become the celestial ruler. then the lover’s council will be occupied by their wedded lovers until their time too eventually comes.

so long story short: the main overarching culture of being apart of the celestial ruler story (tm) is what influences how their polycule operates. they're guiders of the spheres first and lovers second, and there's nothing to say that they HAVE to be romantically involved. i personally as a writer like romance, so dag's cylce is full of romance; however, other rulers and lovers have been varying from just coworkers to certain lovers are married and others are single etc etc. the only thing they can't do is bear children nor have close personal relationships (basically affairs) outside of their lovers--though keeping contact with family from their homeland is encouraged.

all the spheres have a generally accepted level of polyamory but the celestial ruler is a completely different situation. one day i'll break down the worldbuilding of each individual sphere more but not today LMAO.

52. How well do the matamours get along? Do they even know each other?

well at first all of them were metamours; dag was essentially the central spoke of the relationship (as the celestial ruler) and the other 8 were those he married, one from each sphere, to ascend the celestial throne. they all didn't know each other until dag was officially crowned it was then that they all met. this is heavy asterisk for aenlin; he knew all of the others because he was originally a hopeful like dag, but knew he had no chance of becoming the celestial ruler since he's of the royal family of lesedi; being as such that he can't marry one of his siblings and he can't take over his own sphere as the second born, it kind of put him in a rock and a hard place. at least until, he realized that he was the final "correct" partner for dag and eventually accepted it. so, aside from aenlin and dag, the rest of them didn't know each other and now were tasked with essentially ruling the world together for however many centuries. there was a lot of politeness and awkwardness at first, especially from those like izul (who is generally more reserved), and almine (who can be quite intimidating) and rhohanen (a fucking brat LMAO). but as years go by, they all settle not only into their roles, but into loving dag, and then being able to get to know one another not just as strangers but eventual lovers of each other as well.

so tldr; they all start as metamours of dag, but then melt into a full blown 9 way poly lol where everyone is dating/married to each other tm.

- does all the boys hair (only when they ask), she always pops denki with a comb when he whines and moves around a lot , bakugou doesn’t move only when she’s parting it(you can’t tell me his hair isn’t crunchy),Kirishima is no better , instead of him complaining and whining it’s Mina ,he’s hair is so clumped and matted it literally took her all day to wash all the gel in his hair,Sero is the easiest since he actually knows how to take care of it,bakugou also , he just goes to hair when he having trouble with it).

- bakusquad is always protective over her , especially when her quirk is off , she’s so beautiful , so she get hits on a lot but she can handle herself ofc but their just their…(waiting to attack)

- definitely sleeps in bakugou room to annoy him , one time bakugou was walking to his room half way asleep not knowing Mina was trailing behind him the whole time , bakugou got in the bed and felt pressure on the other side of the bed , once he looked over he saw a the grinning smile on her face , he didn’t kick her out but complained for like 2 hours and she’s just their listening to him yap and babble as she falls asleep right there left side on his bed and he’s still yapping.

- Her and Sero go out to get supplies for the dorm and her hair , they always end up at a gaming store or a clothing store.

- Kirishima always goes to her when needs to vent (not like that…) but she knows how he gets , she best at comforting too! , their also besties , she always looked up to him but little did she know Kirishima was her 1# admirer.

- When she was younger she watched girls kissing (don’t ask me why , I just know she did)
