You know sometimes I think how upset Draupadi would be if she saw what is happening nowadays.

Like she was humiliated when she was dragged to a court full of men and when they attempted to strip her clothes away.

So we know that treating women like objects is not only happening in the kalyug men have been assholes from the very beginning.

But at least she was avenged, her honour was brought back to her by the means of the worlds biggest war non the less.

But now girls are raped and brutally murdered and they don't even get a fair trail and even if they do the rapists don't get the punishment they deserve.

So just imagine not just Draupadi but also every other women we pray to, be it Radha maa or Sita maa, who walked on earth before us, how upset and disgusted would they be if they saw this bullshit that is going on.

Ram looked at the sunset in the horizon from Sarayu. Oh, he loved the sunset- but dawn was his favourite.

One foot.

It reminded him of new beginnings. Of how everyday could start anew.

It reminded him of the time he'd wake up, in the forest- and see the Sun- a reminder of how the days were passing till he would return to his home.

Two feet.

The dawn was Sita's favourite, too. Maybe that was another reason why he favoured it- but then again, he could never compare the Sun to her. Everytime he saw her, it was dawn for him. It was a new beginning- a fresh page.

Oh, what he would do to see the Dawn with her.

...How long had it been?

He lost count.

Five feet.

He had dreamt of watching the Dawn with his sons, together- when they were in his wife's womb- but it seemed that fate had other plans.

Ten feet.

Perhaps, in another life.

Black.

It was the end of not just a great king, that sunset- it was the end of an era.

But ofcourse, a sunset is followed by a dawn. A new beginning.

𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 the beehive, hanging from the ashoka tree, a little away from their hut, because it reminds her of his sweet honey like voice. The voice when he softly calls her name full with love and affection.

𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 those lotus flowers that bloom in the river because they remind her of his lotus feet, that even if scratched, bruised and bleeding, they are so delicate in her dainty hands.

𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 the dark clouds that engulf the sky in the month of Śrāvaṇa as they match the same colour of her beloved.

𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 those rudraksha that wrap around his slender neck like vasuki has wrapped himself around Mahadev's nilkantha.

𝐒𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐬 the stars that decorate the night sky because she knows just like the starts, his love for her is limitless.
