It’s been a min since I tried Bliss products and I was excited to have the new Block Star Mineral Daily Sunscreen along for the ride. Block Star (love the name!) has a really nice texture but what I like even more is the slight, mattifying tint that blends with my skin and unifies my skin tone. It’s super comfy, too! Nice job, Bliss! 😌 . 💟@solarasuncare | One of my favorite sunscreens EVER is Solara’s Time Traveler. I’ve reviewed it multiple times on the blog. What it does for my complexion is nearly indiscribable. Last weekend, I also took along the new Go! Vacation Glow Illuminating Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30. It has a lightweight creamy texture that lights up your skin as you spread it. If you’re looking for a mineral sunscreen with a slight tint, blurring effect and a shimmer, this is it! ✨ . 💟@drunkelephant | I also wanted to play with a new eye cream on my weekend Upstate (swipe left!). It’s been years since I played with Drunk Elephant’s C-Tango Vitamin C Eye Cream. I had forgotten that it has like 87 forms of Vitamin C in it. Okay, make that 5. But still! It’s a bit rich for a hot summer day, but when things cooled off at night, it was deliciously soothing and moisturizing. 🗣️ Water. Let's talk about it. Skin is our largest organ that we never think about nourishing. I literally sat there and listened to a conversation about what's the best brand of water to drink. This person argued the other person down about how they should be spending their money. The first person said I can't afford that brand. 5 minutes later, the second person pulls out a big bottle of soda. That just goes to show, you don't have to drink what everybody else is drinking, it doesn't have to be expensive, it's not a monkey see monkey do situation. The main goal here is to be hydrated. If you plan on having better skin, before you even think on starting a skincare regimen, you'd better be drinking water. This is one of the first things I ask when someone comes to me and says 'Hey Tricia, can you help me with my skin?' Guess who had better skin? It sure wasn't the person arguing about a famous brand of water that doesn't even know they exist. If you can't afford bottled water, boil it. It's still water. Take the time out of your daily schedule to do self-care. You are important. If you aren't properly taking care of yourself..how do you think others will value you if you don't value yourself. Water.
