#skyrim winter overhaul

Back in January I attempted to do a heavily modded Skyrim playthru and I tweeted a thread with lots of screenshots. I got to level 10 before I found out that the thieves guild had a major bug and could not figure out how to fix it, so I put Skyrim down and probably started aggressively playing Vintage Story instead. I’m a very one-game-at-a-time kind of autistic.
I know the joke is that modding Skyrim is a game in-and-of itself but I’ve never done the main plot past returning Jurgen’s horn to the Greybeards and I would really like to. I would like to complete the Thieves Guild questline, and become the Dean of Magic and Werewolves and maybe find out what the Dawnguard’s deal is, if only for the huskies. But what I really want is to go to Solstheim and Blackreach (especially since I installed what look like some really pretty mods for it, and a train!!) and take pictures of mushrooms like a filthy tourist.
I’ve checked a bunch of the major locations with my new loadout and they should be good. If there are any wildly broken dungeons or mechanics I will try to fix them and/or ignore them. I will do my very best not to install any new mods until I’m done with this run.
So here’s Savvy the Forsworn. She’s gonna do great.

What’s the best skill tree mod to use? - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Tumblr media
💾 ►►► DOWNLOAD FILE 🔥🔥🔥 It also provided Bethesda with the perfect excuse to try and sell us the game once again. This time as Skyrim Anniversary Edition. And for free I might add. Before we begin, we just want to mention that this list will be primarily focused on mods that add new content or improve upon the existing content. So no graphical mods, bug fixes, or anything like that will be included. Enchanting is both one of the most overpowered and one of the most boring skills in Skyrim, especially in the late game. This mod tries to fix both those things by making improvements to vanilla enchantments while also adding plenty of new ones. And I do mean plenty. Summerset introduces a grand total of new enchantments and integrates them seamlessly into the game. An important thing to note here is that the new enchantments are not exclusive to the player. Enemies can and will use them against you. Whether due to time constraints, inability to properly integrate the content in the game or any number of other reasons. The Cutting Room Floor mod adds a bunch of official content that never made it into the game for one reason or another. This one is pretty self-explanatory. Under normal circumstances, playing Skyrim with mods prevents you from earning any achievements. Achievements Mods Enabler works with modded saves so no need to worry about having to start a new playthrough after you install it. The mod works with all versions of the game, including Skyrim Anniversary Edtion. Well, now you can. Wintersun adds a worshipping mechanic that lets you pray to the Nine Divines, Daedric Princes, and many other deities in an attempt to gain their favor. If you do, the gods will reward you with powerful boons and blessings. Just be careful because the gods are a finicky bunch and you can lose their favor just as quickly as you can gain it. Wintersun is one of the top Skyrim mods for players who value immersion and role-playing. Moonpath to Elsweyr is among the oldest Skyrim quest mods ever created. As you may have already guessed based on its name, Moonpath to Elsweyr takes you on a journey across the Khajiit homeland. These two companions are miles better than anything you can find in the vanilla game, its DLCs, or most other mods. Both companions have professional voice acting with thousands of unique lines of dialogue. Inigo is a blue-faced Khajjit that levels up alongside the Dragonborn, provides banter relevant to the situation at hand, and interacts with the environment and NPCs, including other companions. Meanwhile, Lucien is an Imperial that arrives in Skyrim as a cowardly scholar and becomes gradually more confident and competent in combat the more he accompanies the Dragonborn on their adventures. Both companions are simply amazing, so make sure to get them both! Ars Metallica is a smithing overhaul that allows you to craft many more items than vanilla Skyrim. Including arrows, lockpicks, guild-specific gear, and more. Meanwhile, CACO does the same thing but for alchemy and cooking, letting you create many new types of potions along with bombs, salves, and poultices. Among other things, it added leveled loot and enemies that scale with the player. Not only did this make the game easier than previous entries in the series, it also made exploration more boring. Just as its name indicates, the mod gives Skyrim a loot system similar to the one found in Morrowind. Most pieces of quality gear are now hand-placed in high-level dungeons and can be acquired early on if you know where to look. Certain types of loot appear more often in relevant locations or on relevant enemies. Orcs tend to carry Orchish equipment, Dwarven equipment tends to be found in Dwarven ruins, etc. The first one we would recommend is Cloaks of Skyrim, a mod that adds almost new cloaks and capes of all shapes and sizes. Including unique cloaks with very powerful enchantments. If you want even more cloaks, you can also grab the Winter is Coming mod. Just as its name suggests, the mod features cloaks inspired by Game of Thrones. There are fewer models to choose from here but all of them look amazing. Armor and Clothing Extension is a must-have mod for anybody who appreciates immersion and diversity. The mod adds tons of new clothing options for the player while also giving NPCs more appropriate outfits to wear. Jarls, priests and mages, in particular, now stand out in a big way. Every school of magic gets its own special robes with unique textures, allowing you to easily recognize magic trainers a mile away just by their clothing. Thunderchild attempts to fix that by adding close to 30 new Shouts that can be unlocked by meditating to Kyne and completing her tests of faith. All the new Shouts are tied to the vanilla ones but provide much more interesting, and often devastating, effects. Primarily because most Standing Stone powers are forgettable, so why even bother with them? Andromeda gives each Standing Stone not one but two new abilities, most of which are significantly more interesting than the vanilla ones. Upon discovering all Standing Stones, you will unlock a third power for each of them, giving you the opportunity to design entire builds around them. To top it all off, Standing Stones also get beautiful new visuals upon installing this mod. True Storms is a complete weather overhaul mod for Skyrim. The mod not only adds realistic storms but also snow, heavy fog, dust storms, rain, and more. Appropriate new sound effects have been included as well, which can be heard both while indoors and while wandering around the open world. Despite adding tons of new visual and particle effects, True Storms has minimal impact on performance. We tried a bunch of the best Skyrim mods that overhaul combat before we decided to recommend this one. So what does Wildcat do? Well, this combat overhaul mod is configurable so that largely depends on you. But primarily, the mod makes combat more fast-paced, more dangerous, and ultimately more enjoyable. The AI is a lot more aggressive in combat and will try to flank you or land attacks of opportunity. The mod also adds injuries, staggering, timed blocking, and more. This is a fairly sizeable quest mod comparable to a medium-sized DLC that should be of particular interest to fans of Morrowind, the Dunmer, and the Dwemer. There are plenty of quests to look forward to here as well as over 20 fully voiced NPCs and more than a few interesting pieces of gear. The second of which is primarily inhabited by friendly, yet somewhat mischievous Goblins. Just like their previous mod, Carved Brink is more about quality than quantity. Expect a lot of depth, interesting, fully-voiced characters, and beautiful music. Weapons, armor and all sorts of other collectibles can be found here as well but are not the main focus of the mod. The mod expands the College by adding a number of new rooms and rearranging elements in existing rooms to make them a bit nicer. The mod adds improvements to more than 50 artifacts, including but not limited to all the Daedric ones. In addition to changes to stats and abilities, the mod also gives a bunch of artifacts new textures and alternate versions, all of which are optional to install. Playing as a Werewolf or Vampire in Skyrim is pretty fun. For about 20 minutes or so. Transforming into a creature of the night gets boring pretty quickly in vanilla but you can use these two mods to remedy that. Moonlight Tales is a mod that completely overhauls how werewolves play by adding new perks, abilities, skins, and even werebear forms. Meanwhile, Sacrosanct does something similar but for vampires and vampire lords. Some of the main highlights here include racial vampire abilities, overhauled feeding system, and hemomancy spells, to name just a few. Secondly, they all have pretty much the same attack patterns. Oh wait, it does, thanks to this mod. Diverse Dragons Collection adds no less than 28 new types of dragons, each with its own unique model and textures. The mod is fully customizable so feel free to pick and choose the dragons you want to see in-game. Imperious is easily among the best Skyrim mods when it comes to role-playing and immersion. Skyrim has a lot of interesting races but they play pretty much the same aside from some very minor abilities. Imperious changes that and makes all the races unique by giving them not one but three passive abilities. Each race also gets a unique active ability that must be unlocked via a quest. In addition, the mod tweaks starting stats like health, Magicka, and carry weight to make the races more lore-friendly. Ever wanted to play as a Vigilant of Stendarr and rid the land of Daedric corruption? Now you can, thanks to this mod. Vigilant is a very impressive quest mod unfolding across four chapters that will take you on an epic journey full of intrigue and mystery. Falskaar is one of the best Skyrim mods for fans of new lands and exploration. This DLC-sized mod adds a new landmass full of interesting locations to explore, NPCs to meet, and quests to complete. Falkskaar is a 20—hour adventure but you can easily spend more time than that if you decide to explore every nook and cranny of this mod. There are more than 30 quests to look forward to and a few new items to collect. Beyond Skyrim — Bruma is an extremely ambitious mod that introduces a brand-new region to the game. The region is absolutely massive, surpassing the likes of Solstheim from the Dragonborn DLC in terms of size, and is just as densely packed with new content. However, this mod will, and in a spectacular fashion to boot. Interesting NPCs adds over fully-voiced non-playable characters along with more than 50 new quests. Many of the NPCs can become followers and a few of them are even potential candidates for marriage. But what truly stands out about this mod is not the quantity but the quality. Just as its name suggests, the NPCs are truly interesting and more memorable than anything you can find in the vanilla game. And a lot better looking, too! Ever wanted to play a soulslike game set in the world of Skyrim? Prepare accordingly because this one is going to be challenging. Not quite as challenging as Dark Souls, of course, but definitely more challenging than most other Skyrim mods. Darkend takes place on Pharos, a new island that can be accessed by visiting a shipwreck found in the far north of Skyrim. The boss encounters even have fog gates! Many of the best Skyrim mods add entirely new locations to explore. This one takes an iconic existing location and gives it a fresh coat of pain. Helgen Reborn is a mod that allows you to completely rebuild the first town you come across at the start of the game; the town destroyed by Alduin. Helgen Reborn takes you on a fantastic journey filled with quests to complete, dungeons to explore, mysteries to uncover, and shiny new loot to collect. By the end of it all, Helgen will become a bustling town capable of rivaling even some of the nine holds. And it will be your town to run as you see fit. Magic in Skyrim is pretty basic compared to previous games in the series. Luckily, you can easily change that with these two mods. The first, Apocalypse, is one of the best Skyrim mods for magic users as it adds new lore-friendly spells along with scrolls and staves. If you want to take things one step further, you can also install Arcanum, which gives you access to more than additional spells, with even more to come in the future. The spells are integrated seamlessly into the game and can be obtained from vendors, dungeons, and quests. This is perhaps one of the most obscure but also one of the best Skyrim mods for magic users. Spell Research does pretty much exactly what it says on the tin and allows you to study the arcane arts in an immersive and realistic manner. You start off with simple spells and get to improve your casting abilities and magic knowledge the more you practice while also discovering brand new spells along the way. The new magic crafting systems added by Spell Research are very complex and touch upon disciplines like alchemy, enchanting, scroll writing, magic artifacts, and more. Spell Research comes complete with its own set of spells while also supporting all the popular spell mods out there. If you want to avoid getting completely overwhelmed, we recommend using only Spell Research and maybe just one other spell mod to start off with. Spell Research is a very complex mod and it will take you a while to wrap your head around all its intricacies. Wyrmstooth is another great quest mod that has been around forever. This one takes you to the titular island of Wyrmstooth, located to the north of Solitude, to slay a dragon, explore a massive dungeon, and claim an imperial fort as your own. You can expect tons of content here, from over a dozen fully-voiced quests to new spells, creatures, weapons, and more. Some Skyrim mods are so good that they become standalone games. Enderal is probably the most famous example but earlier this year we got another great one in the form of The Forgotten City. While the standalone game is overall better, the Skyrim mod it was based on is still very solid as well. Skyrim lacks diversity in many areas. But especially when it comes to armors, weapons, and creatures. And the best part is that all the new additions are lore-friendly. Just like their name suggests, these mods are indeed immersive. There are other mods that allow you to simply skip it, but Alternate Start gives you the option to play the game in a completely different way. With this mod installed you can choose to start your adventures in a new location and role-play as a specific class or character archetype from the get-go. There is a lot of possible scenarios to choose from and you can access even more by also installing the New Beginnings extension. The main selling point of this mod is that it allows you to play many builds that are simply not viable in vanilla. Thanks to Ordinator, you can create builds around things like Speech, Pickpocket, Block, or other skills that most players never bothered to improve before. Legacy of the Dragonborn is a massive mod that was initially designed for collectors but has since become much more than that. First off, the mod adds a huge museum that contains displays for basically every item in Skyrim, as well as dozens of other mods. In addition, Legacy of the Dragonborn also lets you create and manage your own guild and experience dozens of new quests. You can easily spend hundreds of hours playing the content introduced by this mod while barely touching the base game. All the mods featured on this list, along with many others, can be found over at NexusMods. I'm a classic jack-of-all-trades author who loves to write about most topics, though gaming has always been my strong suit. Or robots. Or space-traveling superhero robots disguised as Stephen King. Menu Search Search for: Search. Summermyst — Enchantments of Skyrim Enchanting is both one of the most overpowered and one of the most boring skills in Skyrim, especially in the late game. Armor and Clothing Extension Armor and Clothing Extension is a must-have mod for anybody who appreciates immersion and diversity. True Storms True Storms is a complete weather overhaul mod for Skyrim. Wildcat — Combat of Skyrim We tried a bunch of the best Skyrim mods that overhaul combat before we decided to recommend this one. The best Skyrim mods in | Rock Paper Shotgun
Tumblr media
💾 ►►► DOWNLOAD FILE 🔥🔥🔥 When the game was released in November of , players were blown away by the vast world, breathtaking landscapes, and engaging questlines. When Bethesda released Skyrim Special Edition , it breathed new life into the game for the modding community to take advantage of. This included a wealth of housing mods that went far beyond and above what the standard vanilla experience had to offer. These mods allow players to live like virtual Kings and Queens in a variety of abodes both humble and grandiose. This list has been expanded on to provide a few more options for the latest Skyrim modders looking for that perfect domicile to put their feet up after a long day of "Fus Ro Dah'ing" foes off the cliffside. Here's a total of fifteen that represent some of the best. Updated on December 27, by Talha Bin Rizwan: Thanks to a robust modding community, the world of Skyrim has been kept alive and fresh despite the fact that the game was released a decade ago. From small cosmetic changes to DLC-sized mods, players have a plethora of content to explore and enjoy thanks to these mods including some excellent house mods. While the vanilla game allows players to own multiple houses, even build their own homesteads in a few holds, some players find them lacking and wishing for more. From overhauls that modify existing houses to new ones that add entire castles, the modding community has multiple mods that can provide players with their dream home. The Haven Bag adds an entire home in a bag that players can keep in their inventory, which is added when the mod is activated. Players can access it by selecting the bag in their inventory and using it. The Haven Bag comes with some basic amenities, a few crafting stations, and a bed to rest on. The house is exited by reactivating the bag in the inventory, whereby players will find themselves back in Skyrim. They will not be able to take their followers inside the home, which means it's best suited for players who prefer to go solo throughout the province. This classic house mod gets the Special Edition treatment thanks to mod author noyjr. It's perfect for would-be monks and celibate adventurers who need a little faith in their lives since it's built as a priory instead of a traditional player home. Still, the priory can be used for that particular function. Not only is White River Priory big on spiritual atmosphere and decor, but it's close to both Riverwood and Whiterun, making for easy travel between the three locations. It's certainly one of the most atmospheric home mods in Skyrim. Those who prefer the Thalmor or High Elf design aesthetic will find Aldmeri Proudspire Manor to be right up their alley. It takes the existing Proudspire Manor located in Solitude and overhauls it into a totally redesigned abode that fits well with Altmer culture. Players have a choice of 3 to 6 beds while enjoying such amenities as a spa, a study, shrines, and a loft-style living room, to name a few. It's another attempt by the modding community to overhaul the rather basic and bland vanilla homes that can be purchased in-game in favor of something far more luxurious. The Dragonborn that likes to travel a lot will find right at home with Airship - Dev Aveza by Deapri. As the name suggests, the mod adds a flyable airship to the province of Skyrim which players can live in. The mod comes packed with the usual refinements including all the crafting tables, tons of storage, a kitchen, bathing area, and displays for different weapons and armors. The ship can be found parked behind the Blue Palace in Solitude, and players will have to battle a small group of Thalmor to get to it. Dev Aveza is one of the Skyrim house mods better suited for the single Dragonborn or one that has not adopted any children. Located south of Helgen and near the Cyrodiil border, Winter Cove is a small to medium-sized house boasting a stable, outdoor crafting area, plenty of storage, and room for up to 3 followers. Players will enjoy the warm and cozy atmosphere inside the house, especially after trekking up the snow-covered mountain path to get to there. The house also comes with a secret armory to display and store equipment, and a nice indoor hot tub to soak in after a long day of adventuring. It looks like a cozy off-the-grid cottage that one can escape to in order to be around nature, and away from the bustle of towns and villages. JK's Riverfall Cottage is a medium-sized home located just north of Riverwood. Players need only to follow the road out of town and they will find the house at the location. The mod adds an alchemy tower, a stable, an outhouse, and a fish hatchery alongside the main house. Inside, players will find room for three followers and three children, along with displays and storage, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathtub to soak in after a long day of questing. Players will need to buy the house before they can live in it and will cost them a fortune in order to do so. This mod does not add a new house, but rather takes an existing one added by the Hearthfires DLC and changes it into something worthy of the Dragonborn. Lakeview Manor - As It Should Be adds a dynamic lighting system, custom displays for all weapons and armor, a treasury, 6 beds for followers, 2 beds for children, and a functional bathtub with a toilet. Players who want to enjoy something new, yet still want to keep close to the vanilla Skyrim experience will feel right at home with this mod. It's essentially a booster shot for an existing abode that boasts a few more bells and whistles. Wind Path is perfect for players who want to live in a small, yet comfortable house. Players can find it close to the town of Ivarstead by following the river past the bridge and down the hill. Those who want to enjoy a quiet and simple life will appreciate Wind Path. The house has a homey and rustic feel that fills the player with warmth from the second they set foot inside. A must-have house mod in the load order, especially for players who love a more rugged home aesthetic. This mod adds a dark castle rather than a cottage or a manor. Winterstone Castle is perfect for players who wish to roleplay a noble and rich Dragonborn in Skyrim. The castle is located between Riverwood and Falkreath and can be purchased for 40, septims. The mod is best suited for those who like to enjoy a luxurious lifestyle in their playthroughs. The interiors remind players of Castle Volkihar, sans the vampires and death hounds lurking about. It is better suited for late-game use, and can't be lived in until players manage to raise enough money to buy it out. Players who opt for a minimalist character will find that The Riften Garret is the perfect house for them. This house is perfect for players who are just starting out and need a place to stay and rest. The house is better suited for bachelors because the interiors can get a bit cramped with followers or a spouse. The mod provides plenty of storage options for players to store away their loot, and plenty of clutter to give off a deep sense of immersion and aesthetic value. The Citadel is located just north of Whiterun near the base of the mountains. This Skyrim house mod comes with full lore and a progression system through which players can acquire the castle. Players may not be able to access all areas of the castle immediately, but they can work up to it by following the progression system. This mod delivers the quintessential royal experience, thanks to the addition of an entire city built alongside the castle home. Utilizing a building system similar to Hearthfires homesteads, The Scarlett allows players to build a ship they can live and sail. Players will need to complete two small quests before they can work on the ship. It is located in a unique area that is accessed by reading a note placed at the East Empire Company building at the Solitude Docks. The mod also adds an economy system through which players can enjoy a regular income source. The ship can be taken via fast travel to Windhelm, Winterhold, Solitude, and Solstheim, making it an all-purpose transport vehicle, as well as a floating player home. A newcomer to the house modding scene is Frostspire Tower , a full player home with an ancient people that has been slightly retrofitted to add some comfortable amenities to the mix. This Skyrim House Mod can be located in the northeast portion of the province and features everything from training rooms to a bathhouse for a mixture of utilitarian and comfortable. Aside from the obvious aesthetic appeal, Frostspire Tower also boasts 40 new spells that can be learned, plus a portal hub for quick transport to various areas of the province and thralls that can be assigned duties including ore mining and ingredient gathering. For those who love the idea of living in a Hobbit-style home, Oldhollow Chalet might be the premier choice. This cozy little home is built into a cliffside and features the same traditional doors one might find at Bag End, not to mention the rustic and charming qualities that make for a comfy abode. Inside the house is an incredibly comfortable collection of nicknacks, decorations, and furniture designed for a simple, yet somehow luxurious living style. It's probably not well-suited for followers or spouses, but as a getaway, it's hard to beat. While most Skyrim house mods add only one building, Blackthorn by Ld goes the extra mile and adds an entire town that players can build similar to how they make Hearthfires homes. The town also generates regular income which players can collect from various merchants and shops. To start, players will need to go to the Blackthorn Trader and then start building the town. This will add only the building exteriors and to add interiors, players will need to enter the buildings themselves and add the interiors using the workbench. Solitude gets a shot in the arm with this player home mod that injects some high-life beauty into the city. Springwood Estate is a luxurious mansion with a beautiful outside courtyard featuring a biophilic design and furniture to enjoy a warm day in the sun as citizens pass by. Inside, the home is beautifully laid out with high-quality furniture and decor, plus multiple functional areas including a dining room, living room, and a fully stocked kitchen. There's a wealth of things to see and do inside the home, making it one of the most glorious house mods around. Breezehome is the first house that players get as a reward during the main quest of Skyrim. It is a small, cozy home that is perfect for the Dragonborn who is starting out on their journey but may not be enough as players level up. The Breezehome by Elianora mod rectifies that problem by overhauling the iconic Whiterun home to be worthy of the legendary Dragonborn. The house includes nearly all of the crafting stations, tons of unique storage and displays, lockable doors, a bathing area, and a mirror that can change the player's appearance. Players with Dunmer or Dunmer-influenced characters will feel right at home with Ebongrove. The mod adds nearly all the crafting stations, up to eight beds, and even a small indoor fish pond, making it one of the most unique player house mods ever made. Riverwood is the first region that players visit and get the chance to explore after their escape from Helgen. The town doesn't offer much but being a starting area, it always has a homey feeling whenever players visit. So, it is only natural that Skyrim house mod Leaf Rest by aukmat also be located in Riverwood to maximize that feeling of home. The mod adds an interactive and customizable house that includes a full forge, an interactive gardening system, a wood-burning fireplace, a business ledger trading system along with numerous other features. Players will find the marker for the house when they install the mod and only need to follow it to locate their new home. Elysium Estate continues to be one of the best player homes ever made, thanks to its atmospheric and comfortable design; not to mention a wealth of beneficial add-ons. This home is located outside the walls of Whiterun near the Western Watchtower and can be accessed by completing a lore-friendly voiced quest that takes only a few minutes. This mod is geared towards family-oriented players who want to live in a house with their spouse , their adopted children, and perhaps a few followers. The mod adds two indoor baths, an automatic loot sorting system, custom planters, and the option to purchase cows, goats, and chickens. It also features a grand basement with multiple mannequins to decorate with armor sets, plus interactive bookshelves, wall racks for shields, daggers, arrows, weapons, and unique items like Dragon claws, Thieves Guild treasures, and artifacts. It is highly suggested that Elysium Estate be paired with the Great Forest of Whiterun Hold mod for the ultimate atmospheric experience. Just make sure to add the compatibility patch to your load order to prevent terrain conflicts.

Skyrim fashion
Over the years I’ve created a lot of different outfits for my characters. As in, I’ve downloaded lots of different mods, tweaked certain mods in various ways, and experimented a lot.
A while back, I finally reached the point where I said “fuck it” and created a mod-profile specifically for trying out different outfits, and then I’d screenshot those outfits so that I could think about it outside of the game for a bit.
This turned out to be... extensive, because obviously not every outfit suits every race or regular appearance (skin color, etc), and small tweaks in the design can still be notably different.
Still, I thought it could be fun to share a few of the outfits I’ve created over the years, with the mods that I’ve used, and a clear mention if I’ve done any weird tweaks to any textures to get it to look like that.
My most recent outfit:
Tumblr media
Red Hood and Red Robes (Lind’s Retexture). Mask of Blades (Mask of Blades). Crimson Linen Cloak (Cloaks of Skyrim). Daedric Arrows (Daedric Glows). Vampire Gloves and Vampire Boots (Dawnguard DLC). Vampire Eyes (Ruby Red Vampire Eyes).
The Ruby-Eyes is technically tweaked in that I used “Glowing Eyes and Glowing Vampire Eyes” and then overwrote one of its textures with the one from Ruby Red, because my character doesn’t change appearance after being turned. Also, my saturation is slightly boosted here by Imaginator.
An old favorite:

Skaal Heavy Armor, Gloves, Boots (Skaal Heavy Armor). Banded Iron Shield (vanilla). Timber Wolf Skin Cloak (Winter Is Coming). White Armored Fur Hood (Fur Hood HD). Goggles (Kankaraya). Leather Black Sacrament Cowl (Arise). Forsworn Dagger (Forsworn Dagger).
The cloak is partially desaturated to make it less yellowish around the neck. The goggles are slightly desaturated to make them more silvery (I’ve also technically pulled them out of the original shop-mod, because that part of it felt needlessly complicated). The cowl has been painstakingly retextured by erasing the “leather” part and replacing it with the textures from the hood. And the dagger has been fixed in the Creation Kit to actually be a dagger (it’s a beautiful mesh/texture, but the Creation Kit was clearly a rush-job).
A much older outfit:
Tumblr media
Forsworn Gloves, Boots (Forsworn Robes). Forest Stalker Jerkin (Triss Armor Retextured). Mask of Blades (Mask of Blades). Brown Hood (Lind’s Retexture). Brown Burlap Cloak (Cloaks of Skyrim).
Mask of Blades is darkened to keep it from shining like a beacon. (Outfit was discontinued because a small but awkward gap between the lowest boot and the pants around the knee.)
A newer version:
Tumblr media
Forest Stalker Jerkin, Boots, Gloves (Triss Armor Retextured). Brown Hood (Lind’s Retexture). Brown Burlap Cloak (Cloaks of Skyrim). Goggles (Kankaraya). Leather Black Sacrament Cowl (Arise). Iron Arrows (Vanilla).
The goggles are slightly desaturated. Again the cowl has been painstakingly retextured using the textures of the hood, because you can’t touch the metal-parts of it without it messing up the mesh somehow.
Another heavy armor:
Tumblr media
Nordic Carved Armor, Gauntlets, Boots, Shield (Practical Female Armors). Black Wolf Skin Cloak (Winter Is Coming). Blindfold (Blindfolds of Skyrim + Blindfolds revised).
Nothing is actually modified here.
A light armor one:
Tumblr media
Leather Black Sacrament Armor, Gauntlets, Boots, Cowl (Arise). Forsworn horns (TDN Equipable Horns). Linen Cloak (Cloaks of Skyrim). Hood (Dragonscale Hood). Vampire Eyes (Ruby Red Vampire Eyes).
The Arise armor-piece is slightly modified to remove a red patch right around the chest. The hood has been painstakingly retextured to have the scale-pattern across its entire length, and the cloak has been retextured in the same manner.
Another robe:
Tumblr media
Expert Robe (self-made retexture). Forsworn Gloves, Boots (Forsworn Robes). Forsworn horns (TDN Equipable Horns). Brown Hood (Lind’s Retexture). Blindfold (Blindfolds of Skyrim + Blindfolds Revised). Scar from (XCE - Xenius Character Enhancement). Pose from (Orc Female Animations).
The Expert Robe is basically just somewhat selectively “brown-ified”.

My mod list (mostly)
@invokingbees
Northborn Scars
Beards
Improved Eyes Skyrim
Skysightskins (very very good male retexture mod)
Left Hand Rings Modified SE
Warmonger Armory- Unnoficial Fixed Port for SSE
Hjerim TNF SE Port
Open Civil War SE (this one is great but suuuuper finicky. SAVE OFTEN IF YOU USE)
Deadly Dragons
OR
KS Dragon Overhaul 2
PICK ONE. Deadly Dragons imo is more stable and has less bugs. KS is pretty great tho, makes dragons a big challenge. Can’t remember which I went with in the end but switching in the middle of a playthrough ain’t recommended. I did anyway lol.
INeed
Lightning During Storms SSE (Minty Lightning)
Ordinator (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Perk system so much better and immersive than original)
Convenient Horses
Carriage Stops of Skyrim (or some equivalent)
Campfire and Frostfall
Morrowloot Ultimate (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Stops people from having shit they shouldn’t, makes rare shit actually rare)
Stoutheart Armor
Improved Closefaced Helmets (I love this)
Sovngarde Gold (just makes everyone in Sovngarde wear gold shit lol, kinda fitting but eh take it or leave it)
Skyrim Immersive Creatures
Realistic Waters Two
Relationship Dialogue Overhaul (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, even if you aren’t banging your companions)
Storm Wrath Lightning (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, makes the shout much more useful)
Stormlord and the Lord of Bears retexture
Shouts in the Dragon tongue
Thundering Shouts
Cinematic Dragon Soul Absorption (ONE OF MY FAVS!)
Thunderchild (MUST HAVE)
Wet and Cold
Run for Your Lives
Enhanced Blood Textures SE (be careful with this one, can cause instability for sure).
Immersive Citizens
Vivid Weathers definitive edition
Static Mesh Improvement Mod
UNP or Calientes female body replacer, can’t remember which I picked, but I think I went with UNP for females.
Then Wico for both, have Wico override UNP where it wants and have Skysight Skins remesh take priority over Wico. So UNP or Caliente first, then install Wico, and then Skysight remesh.
Might have to play with those a bit for the perfect balance.
The notice board
Breeze home (note, disable fx light mod for player home mods like this and hjerim)
Apachiiskyhair
Wearable lanterns
Concentrative fire and frost shouts
Apocalypse- magic of Skyrim
Wildcat (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED COMBAT MOD!!)
Skyrim immersive creatures
Immersive armors
Immersive weapons
Frost fall and campfire
Moonlight tales and predator vision patch
Moonlight Tales special edition
Predator vision
Unique uniques
If you can handle them, all the “Populated” mods
Pretty combat animations
Racemenu
Fores New Idles
XP32 maximum skeleton
Stormcloak hero armory
Royal Armory (I think one of my mods is overriding this lol, ulfric isn’t using his royal axe)
Realistic conversations
Civil War Aftermath (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED)
Cloaks of Skyrim
Winter is coming
Expanded carriage service
Visible favorited gear
Violens killmove mod
Ars Metallica Smithing
Unread books glow
Realistic lighting overhaul, might not be compatible with fx lighting, can’t remember.
Lean wolfs better shaped weapons
Immersive patrols

Alternate start
A quality world map

Note
what mods are you using for survival skyrim?
…a lot *putting it under a read more because I’m reblogging it and added links*
For survival:
Frostfall (exposure is horrible and you’re in winter hell)
Campfire(you can camp! and maybe live)
Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul (makes alchemy better and adds a cooking skill)
Wearable Lanterns (you can figure it out)
iNeed (oh fuck I need to sleep and eat and drink and also diseases are like so much worse)
Alternate Start (fuck you vanilla start I’m camping in the woods now)
Hunterborn (hunting matters now and also you can now make dragon steaks so like) [you’ll have to pull the patches from the file tab for the relevant other mods, I downloaded them each manually and just placed them in the Skyrim Data folder]
Immersive Horses (you can own all the horses and they’re in a herd and also you can access their inventory and make them carry your things)
Winter is Coming -Cloaks (fur coats so you don’t die)
Vivid Weather (rain and snow and fog are no joke)
Because I like them even though they don’t help with survival:
Immersive Weapons (more weapons)
Immersive Armor (more armor)
Practical Female Armor (no boob plate)
Craftable Horse Barding (all those horses look amazing)
Sneak Tools (mother fucking FIRE ARROWS and WATER ARROWS and ROPE ARROWS and NOISE MAKER ARROWS like seriously get this mod it’s so good)
Immersive Patrols (guards actually do their goddamn job and clear out bandit camps and the imperials and stormcloaks get into these huge fights)
I’d link them all but that’s a lot of work and you just need to enter it into nexus if you want
Also why can I tag asks on mobile but not on desktop this site is the worst
*Edit* I’m using the legendary edition because my computer can’t handle the special edition but i think all the mods listed have SE counterparts
*edit the 2nd* I added links but be aware they’re not links to the special edition mods just the basic legendary edition because that’s what im workin with
