Throwback to colder days

Memories of snowy boats, bluecold yule holidays and snowfilled hills in northwest Scandinavia.

I think this is the most snow filled and freezing yule holiday I can remember. That will be appx minus 14 degrees celsius during day and colder at night. The only nice thing is that the white snow makes the world clean and bolstered.

Perfect for staying inside near the wood fired oven, eating snacks, food, warming drinks and hot coffee or chocolate as well.

First digital camera experience

This is a photo from the turn to this century. It was taken with a digital Sony Mavica camera with appx 0.3 megapixel resolution. One of the first good and consumer friendly digital cameras.

It was basically a 1.44" floppy disk drive unit with a lens and some electronics attached. Each floppy would hold 10-14 photos. And like nowadays, with my 128 GB XQD, and 760 photos capacity on a 45 megapixel camera, about 4 shots per storage unit is extremely good.

Hopefully because I am a better photographer now and have higher standards.
