The Snowflake Moray Eel, along with other species of morays, have pharyngeal jaws, which are a second set of jaws located in the throat or pharynx. This species is an unconfirmed hermaphrodite, but there have been records that they are able to change sex during their lifetime. Snowflake morays are also scale-less, secreting a mucus over their skin that allows for easy maneuverability in and around holes in their environment.

i was a 90s girl, i grew up wanting to be ariel, sure.  but i was the weird kid who wanted flotsam and jetsam to be my undersea friends, not flounder and sebastian.  to this day, i love moray eels - aquarist goal is to one day have my own, gotta work my way up to that though - and i told myself i could forgive the new movie its flaws if they did my bois good.

i’ve just been informed that they were pretty much written out of the new mermaid movie so into the trash it goes, irredeemable.

btw if you are a weirdo moray mom like me watch turtles tale 2, it has moray eel henchman (basically flotsam/jetsam clones lets be honest) who become good guys at the end and also they have french accents and one of them is played by the guy who played whisper in the english yokai watch dub and none of your money will go to disney if you watch it because it aint one of theirs.  ;-)
